2015 was another great year for Z Records, a year that saw the release of the new artist album from Opolopo, the Joey Negro compiled Le Freak - a tribute to the sound of Chic, 90's House & Garage and the long awaited Supafunkanova Vol.2 alongside Sean P.
Z Records is starting 2016 in similarly strong fashion with the follow up to Remixed With Love. It's been over two years since the first instalment which topped many sales charts on its release so now the remixes that made up that album have been heard on house and disco dancefloors around the world ever since, it's time for Volume 2. So allow us to present 20 more reworkings of classic soul, funk, disco and boogie tracks from the likes of Grace Jones, Robert Palmer, Cheryl Lynn, The O'Jays, Gwen McCrae, George Benson and many more. Admittedly, we live in a world where remixes and edits of vintage dancefloor anthems aren't exactly hard to come by, in the same way that grains of sand aren't hard to come by on a beach. But where Soundcloud, Beatport et al heave under the weight of a gazillion bootleg offerings, many taking a dusty, scratched old 12-inch or a dodgy MP3 as their starting point, Remixed With Love is a little different. Not only is the man with one of the most legendary record collections in the game guaranteed to dig deeper than most, every track you hear has been (re)created using spanking new analogue transfers of the original multi-track tapes, with the full consent and co-operation of the copyright owners. Which means not only are you getting the best possible sound quality, the creators of the original tracks are getting paid too - as they damn well should be. These multi track tapes also uncovered elements that were not used in the original mixes so Joey has incorporated some of these never before heard parts such as the Grace Jones aerobic workout instruction.

Putting an album like this together is no easy feat, as Dave himself explains in the extensive liner notes that accompany this package. First, you have to get permission from the copyright owners to undertake the project at all - which can in itself entail hundreds of emails and phone calls. Then you have to track down the original tapes - when many may have been recorded over, lost or simply destroyed - and convince the label archivists to get them digitised. And that's before you even start on the remixing... which is when you find half the parts are missing, or you can't foreground that killer piano lick you wanted to because the original was recorded live in the studio and the piano track has the bassline bleeding all over it. The title of this album is extremely appropriate, because for Mr Lee this definitely has been a labour of love!

That's the name which is used by the complete body inked cousins Sigi Aigner and Didi Bruckmayr for their
outstanding performances on Club Dance-parties, Festivals, Free-parties and weddings in the Home- and Foreign-
Countries since more than two years. At their shows they use deep bass-lines, demanding beats, gentle hooklines
and raging 3-D objects. The large sized Mr. State-opera-chorister Aigner and the dwarfish Universal-bush-leaguer
Dr. Bruckmayr also are known for their benedictional work with the performance-group Fuckhead; for them they
count as finded minds. Mussurunga is a frowing suburb of the brazilian provincial capital Salvador da Bahia, which Aigner and Bruckmay vistied job related. While one of them waited without success for a date in Mussurunga and spent all the spondulix which was meant for the taxi, the other one worked very hard in the regional beach-bars on artistic concepts. The result of this jobshare is, among other things, the present EP.

The Australian duo Hermitude have become genre trendsetters. 2012's HyperParadise went platinum in Australia, and the group received Australia's Music Prize—which identifies the 'Most Outstanding Creative Australian Album of the Year.' 2015 sees them make a veritable splash stateside at festivals including Lollapalooza, Governor's Ball, SXSW, Lighting In A Bottle, and more. Andrew's journey started with reading about the story of the dance plague in 1518 where hundreds of people were seized by an irresistible urge to dance in the streets until exhaustion and death. His favourite song Etre assis ou danser' from the Berlin based band Liaisons Dangereuses had an even stronger creative trigger after reading this... For his first solo album, Andrew Claristidge - member of the Parisian duo Acid Washed (Record Makers) decided to fly to Ubu Noir's studio in Lyon where he knew he could find one EMS synthetizer to start to record a few sounds he wanted to include. The experience was highly stimulating so that back at his studio in Berlin, he had assembled almost all the ideas for his album with the basic concept: You can dance to every kind of music. At the same time Andrew started a new way of producing: less thinking, more acting. He called it Pragmatic Composing. During this composing period he was also touring and stopped in Nantes to record a track with another friend and music connoisseur: Leendder.

True to the motto - Do It Yourself' Diynamic is re-releasing Solomun's remix of Lana Del Rey's 'West Coast' on its sister-label 2DIY4, in order to make it available all around the globe. In his subtle manner, Solomun works his magic around the breathless sultry vocals of Lana Del Rey: Apart from the luscious beat and the droning lower frequencies, the catchy synthesizer builds a simple, but harmonic structure that sends you on a mesmerizing journey throughout the track. The a-side, which is the dub remix, has already proven to be raising hands on festivals and in clubs during this summer all over the world, the b-side attracts the listener with the matchless voice of Lana del Rey.

Caroline Chaspoul and Eduardo Henriquez mapped the scenes of Europe and Latin America for over 12 years with their band PANICO. Combining a taste of post punk with latin energy "straight from Chile", PANICO heralded the heyday of the punk funk revival in Europe and became a cult group in Latin America.
Ten albums later, Caro and Edu have launched a new project : NOVA MATERIA. 
NOVA MATERIA was born from the willingness to consider music as a direct derivative of the natural and industrial elements that surround us. More electronic and experimental than PANICO, the duo uses raw material to transform and recycle : scrap metal tubes, stones rubbed on metal, drum, beat boxes, bass, electric guitars used as percussions....To refine their sound Caro and Edu nabbed DJ and producer CHLOE, a real expert in turning raw elements into golden nuggets.
NOVA MATERIA is a two-headed hydra: one tropical, the other industrial. Their first EP "APARECE EN SUENOS" is a concentrate of wild energy, live act ferocity and sound experiments magnified by CHLOE.

Penelope and Stephen originally hail from opposite sides of the planet (Australia and America) but have united to create a distinctly unique electronic sound. Following several previous releases, their sound has progressed into a deeper, richer, advanced hypno-sound with state of the art synthetic sound design and vocal phrases ricocheting around the mix. It's hard to pull off tracks that constantly morph and develop over the course of a few minutes but The Golden Filter accomplish this with seeming ease on the "PS1103" EP.

Minimal Wave is pleased to announce a second release by Belgian favorites Linear Movement.
The collection entitled 'The Linear Way' marks our 59th release on Minimal Wave and continues our celebration of 10 years as a label. The album is a collection of warm melodic electronic pop songs that have for the most part remained unreleased until now. Linear Movement is Belgian mastermind Peter Bonne (A Split-Second, Twilight Ritual, Autumn) joined by Peter Koutstaal, and Lieve Van Steerteghem contributing vocals on the final track. The songs 'The Linear Way' and 'Don't Try To Trick Me' appeared on the exquisite Pulse Music cassette (released by the Micrart Group in 1983) while the rest were never officially released. Our last collection of Linear Movement material entitled On the Screen came out in 2008 and is now long sold out. We're very excited to present this special archival album and finally make these tracks available. The Linear Way LP will be presented in a heavy quality full color printed sleeve, pressed as a limited edition of 999 copies on 180 gram pink vinyl, and released in mid-October. Die Künstler, die das französische Duo Housse De Racket zu ihrem dritten Album inspiriert haben, lesen sich ebenso abwechslungsreich, wie sich die Platte selbst anhört: Fleetwood Mac, Spacemen 3, XTC, Steel Pulse, Alan Vega, Ravel, Laurie Anderson, Miles Davis, Television - keine schlecht Referenzliste. Das Album entstand nach einer Welttour im Apartment des Sängers und Gitarristen Pierre Leroux auf dem Pariser
Montmartre. Die magische und hypnotische Kraft im Viertel um Sacre-Coeur hinterließ unweigerlich Spuren auf "The Tourist", einem Album, das die Band als einen "Geisteszustand", als eine "Reise ohne Bewegung" beschreibt. Während der Titeltrack sowohl Depeche Mode als auch die Beatles zitiert, um sich dann in einen Jetzt-alle-mal-die-Arme-hoch-Rave zu verwandeln, ist "Encore" ein wahrer Stomper, der die Frage stellt:
"What happens when music's over". Na, was wohl Dann macht man die Platte einfach noch mal an. Die LP

Agostino Casillo, born in 1985, begins to approach music in the late '90s, influenced by the house sounds that characterize those years. Never shut up in one genre, his desire to experiment led him to deepen the knowledge of all the trends related to electronic music, from 'house to techno, from deep to nu disco. Out of every scheme, his productions are very eclectic. He is currently resident in one of the most innovative party of Neapolitan underground scene, Nice To Be. In 2013 he release his first track ìSickî on Stop Clone Music, in January 2015 his second track ìMy Visionî was released on ìNice To Be Recordsî. Make It Right Ep is an abstract of all is musical background caught up into four great tracks.
