First theleading track Alte Frische which proved itself to shake all dance floors which is was everplayed so far! Coming with a groovy 80s style bass line and a liquid and funky acid line whichsounds like directly recorded from good old Norman Cook.Next up is Wasted a good time party track which for sure will make it in hot rotation of mostDJs playing the contemporary in-house style. The tune was created together with Toomsenwho is also one part of Bengel & Bosch and belongs to The Chosen Two's party clique joiningthem on every Berlin party!For the deeper people around Neue Mattheit the last song on the EP will do it for sure. A darksynth arp line twisted together with a funked up bass and some crazy vocal scats

New York, early 90's, the haydays of the New York and Jersey clubhouse! With labels such as NuGroove, Nervous, Freeze, Strictly Rhythm, Henry Street Music taking all the spot light, there is Jovonn working on a small but sensational catalogue of music that somehow gets overshadowed by the popular releases on the mentioned labels. The honest productions, jazzy melodies and playful vocals (rooted in gospel) were taking things into a more musical, more spiritual way, lacking gimmicks or dispensable samples. For the real diggers, the true lovers of House music Jovonn always was a name to watch, a producer of some of their favorite NY house tracks, tracks that have a raw edge combined with a sincere human touch and pure underground house vibes. People such as Rex resident Dj Deep was a huge fan, and also collaborated on couple later productions with Jovonn. Slowly he started getting recognition from europe which resulted in a handfull of records on European labels such as Distance, Coco Soul and Estereo. Now after almost 25 years since his first release the man's small discography on his own Goldtone label and Emotive records stand out with his unique musical personality. More then 20 years after their original release dates these tunes are still very relevant and stand for many things we love about house music! We are happy to offer this selection of his hard to find early works remastered by Alden Tyrell.

Okinawa's finest, Iori returns to Phonica White with a brand spanking new track and two remixes of previous tracks from Vril and Phonica alumni Raimo. Phonica Records are very excited to welcome back for the 7th Phonica White release, the label's mainstay Iori! The talented and recently relocated producer, is in excellent company on this EP with Giegling's Vril and our very own Raimo offering remixes of previous Iori. Occupying the whole of the a-side, 'Wave' is Iori at his best; just under nine minutes of no nonsense techno. Raw and dark material built around a strong syncopated beat, layered trippy flourishes and a hypnotic groove that sucks you in until the last bar.

Flip over to the b-side and it's Vril that takes up the reins. The Giegling producer takes on Iori's 'Spaciotemporal' (off Phonicawhite #3) and delivers a pacy remix that kicks into gear instantly. It's a rumbling beast of a track that adheres to the aesthetics of Vril's output to date. If you have any of his previous releases you'll know. If you don't then this is a good starting point! Rounding off the EP is Raimo - noted for his Lampuka imprint, the budding producer also spent many a Saturdays behind the counter in our shop. He takes the pulsating epic that is 'Spread', reworks the synth melody, adds a hoover bassline and slowly builds it up into a solid remix that shows a different side to Iori's original.
