After 28 years from its first release, DWA Records releases one of the most famous album of the Eurodance’s period of Nineties, never released on vinyl, in Italy.

The album contains the same-titled song, that has become one of the most important dance songs of all time. After climbing the worldwide charts, it is still re-proposed today by the most famous groups in the world, like Bastille and Black Eyed Peas. It’s produced by Francesco Bontempi “Lee Marrow”. Original remastered versions.

Bent Wind formed in Toronto in 1969. Discovered by producer Merv Buchanan while they played at a 12-hour Pop Festival in York, he signed them to his Trend label. A single was soon released, followed by the “Sussex” album in 1969. Titled after the street where the band had a rehearsal space in a building where local hippies and freaks hang out, “Sussex” was released housed in a cover designed by guitar player Gerry Ribas. According to band member Marty Roth, no more than 200 copies were pressed, making one the most sought after psych albums ever.

I think we can all agree that an outfit like Earth, Wind & Fire are truly deserving of such an accolade, since their first tentative steps in the early 1970's as an outfit the Chicago, IL pioneers have made themselves a force to be reckoned with and have sold over 90,000,000 units worldwide! Fusing together Jazz, Funk, Soul, African and Brazilian sounds EWF have been at the top of their game for decades, seeing them inducted into the legendary 'rock n roll hall of fame' at the turn of the millennium. Respect due. On this special, legit 12" reissue we are treated to 2 stellar reworkings by one of Disco and modern dance music's most respected names - Danny Krivit. Danny's tenure in dance music has almost been as long as EWF's themselves so it makes sense that he's on deck to breathe some dancefloor magic into their cult classics 'Brazilian Rhyme' and 'Runnin'. Both tracks are massive club anthems with them being generously sampled over the years and featuring in the playlists of too numerous to mention DJ's and selectors. Both of these amazing edits are extremely sought after and have been legally reissued by Above Board Distribution in conjunction with Danny Krivit and the legal rights holders - Sony Music Entertainment. Celebrating 25 years since its release, ‘Time Was GIGANTIC… When we were kids’, the seminal 1998 album by The Durutti Column is released on vinyl for the first time.


The band and lead member Vini Reilly were one of the first signings to Antony Wilson’s Factory Records, and ‘Time Was GIGANTIC…’ was the final Factory Records release for The Durutti Column and the last release for the label before it closed. Formats are double heavyweight vinyl and digipak CD. Both formats are re-mastered and feature 5 bonus tracks: It’s Your Life, Babe - Kiss of Def - In the City - New Order Tribute - Drinking Song (version) .


The new edition features extensive liner notes by Factory Records and band expert James Nice, and the original artwork has been revisited by the original designers 8VO (Mark Holt and Hamish Muir).The band (and in particular the guitar playing of Vini) has developed a cult following over the past 40 years with fans of the band including Brian Eno, John Frusciante (who called Vini “the best guitarist in the world”, The Avalanches, The Chromatics, Jonny Marr and John Cooper Clarke to name a few.

Following on from Lyric Hood's solo release, 'Everything / Social Distance' in July, M-Plant takes us into August with the first new release this year from Robert Hood and Floorplan.

Opening the proceedings is a solo mission from Robert Hood. 'The Struggle' opens with acidic-funk that's highlighted by Tamika Mallory's stirring speech following the murder of George Floyd, before launching into powerful stripped-back Techno. This is protest music, Hood-style.

The rest of the EP is devoted to Robert and Lyric Hood's collaborative Floorplan project. The original version of 'Save The Children' brings tough House with blazing horns and vocal refrains to continue the themes of social change. While the Detroit Mix goes deep and bassy, overlaid with poignant vocal samples including the words of Dick Gregory.

Dominik Eulberg, of Traumschallplatten, Cocoon and Kompakt notoriety, presents the next installment of the Hertzblut Recordings EP series in the form of 'Backslash'. The EP opens with 'Opel Tantra', a delectable example of a living, breathing techno orchestra in full effect. B-side 'Noch Ein Bass im Ärmel' sees plucked strings and key stabs pick out an alluring groove, as distant chimes twinkle evoking the enchanted forest ever-present in Eulberg's thoughts.

Masters At Work dig into the archives and find GEMS. Having their 2 Inchmaster tapes (over 750 tapes) stored for over 25 years, Kenny and Louie pulled the tapes out and had them transferred to digital files. In their findings on each 2 inch there were 2-3 tracks on each tape never heard before.

They’ve taken those tracks and mixed them to perfection, but leaving the rawness of the original feel and recordings made over 25 - 30 years ago. These are gold nugget findings for MAW and today they have the new MAWLOST TAPES series, released on Maw Records, which will give you a taste ofthose early findings.

Since 1994, the year of the first publication of the single Can We Live with the voice of Ce Ce Rogers, this song by Jestofunk has remained one of the fundamental records of every self-respecting deejay House.
First in the rankings in many rankings of those years, it is the greatest success of the team formed by Checco Farias, Blade and Claudio Moz-Art Rispoli.
Over the years several have tried to remix it but the original versions are and remain the most played.
This reissue shows the original versions plus a version edited by Jestofunk themselves released in the first remix of the song released the following year.
The cover also shows the same image from 1994 even if the background this time is black instead of white to differentiate it from the original.
The demand for this vinyl in recent times has been great and therefore Irma Records has decided on this reissue.
