Marc Rapson - Dark VS Light LP (2x12")

Marc Rapson is a man of many dimensions. From rocking BBC's Maida Vale and Later with Jools Holland as part of Ben Westbeech's touring band, to releasing stellar re-edits of Marvin Gaye and Sarah Vaughan to the acclaim of Gilles Peterson, Marc has spent the last decade quietly building a following amongst those in the know. Dark vs Light seamlessly blends crunchy, low swung Hip Hop beats with Marc's jazz inflected Fender Rhodes and synth sounds. Not one to be confined to a singular style, Marc also fires up the sampler for tracks such as 'Click Loud', combining surgical chop skills with live instrumentation. Dark vs Light is the product of a mind that grew up on Ahmad Jamal as much as A Tribe Called Quest: the jazz pianist with a passion for raw beats. This first time on double vinyl complete edition includes all tracks from the now out of print EP along side additional bonus cuts from the original sessions featuring MC Replife as well as a dope cover of a classic Roy Ayers track. A great way to help celebrate Futuristica’s 15th year!

No Bullshit 2x12"

HFN Disko
03.12.2013

With their debut album on Hamburg's taste making hafendisko, Deo & Z-Man proceed their research in contemporary electronic music beyond stylistic boundaries and present a wide-ranging lucky bag of songs. The Italo-rooted brothers melt influences from modern House music, HipHop, Electronica and even jazzy elements into a fresh and life-affirming total work of art. And here it is in all its glory - 'No Bullshit' . With a healthy dose of tongue-in-cheek humour and a seemingly endless supply of fresh ideas, Deo & Z-Man might have pulled one of the most creative albums of the year. Effortlessly gliding between wigged out house for the dancefloor, synthy space weirdness, hip-hop infused beats and twisted, smoked-out electro pop - 'No Bull-shit' is a rare thing, a collection of esoteric and eclectic influences that hang together perfectly as a proper album. The boys have long since created their own special vibe through their well received singles, live performances and DJ sets - mixing musical knowledge, party rocking skills and a sense of fun that is all too often lacking these days. Even more rare is to capture that magic in the studio over the course of an album. Yet 'No Bullshit', as the name cheekily suggests, nails it. Listening to the album it's easy to see how Deo & Z-Man cut their teeth with HipHop - tracks like 'Tamastar Santini' (feat Janos), 'Two Blue Bros' and 'YRUAG' reveal a background of beats and rhymes that infuses the whole vibe of the album. Equally at home in the club, recent single 'XTC', 'Chopped Memories' and 'Tales of Love' are lessons in leftfield club dynamics - deep, musical grooves that hint at the brothers' leg

POSY - Abroad

The 'Abroad EP' catalogues a period of time spent travelling Japan in the spring of 2019. Throughout the course of the month-long trip, Rudy carried around a portable recorder, capturing various sounds that caught his ear. That collection of found sounds would eventually become the foundation for the EP, each track utilizing a handful of different recordings ranging from bird calls in Tokyo's Yoyogi Park, to windchimes in the coastal town of Kawazu. The EP took a full year of patient, daily work to complete, during which time Rudy invited a diverse group of collaborators in to help finish the songs. Throughout the recording process, harp, saxophone, and violin parts were added to create a unique blend of organic and electronic sounds.

POSY is the recording name of Rudy Klobas, Portland-based producer and multi-instrumentalist with a unique sound that intersects jazz, R&B, and electronic music. Originally trained on classical guitar, POSY gradually taught himself piano, bass, and drums and began writing and recording his first songs on a four-track cassette recorder. POSY's music is lush and densely layered, but maintains an element of simplicity that ultimately leaves one feeling relaxed, nostalgic, and hopeful all at the same time.

BOSQUEMAR - BOSQUEMAR EP

Our new release features the debut of mysterious producer Bosquemar from Chile.

On his self-titled EP, he blends percussive grooves with gritty synths and field recordings.

In sophisticated soundscapes of concrete sounds, crunchy flutes, and conjuring vocals, Bosquemar creates a psychedelic South-American downbeat far from any stereotypes.

For 'Animales' we have Matanza's Rodrigo Gallardo on remix duty, who increases the tempo and adds a dubby flavour with bouncy beats and a calling flute theme.

pink or blue vinyl

“Throughout years of learning and experimenting with various approaches to music-making I developed a strong passion for sound synthesis and design, the practice of which enables me to get lost in my own soundscapes, textures and atmospheres,” Adam Mészáros says – composer & producer from Bratislava, Slovakia, the only person behind the Absorver project.

After releasing two digi only EPs – self-released “Attribution” and Kaiseki Digital release “Obstinate Light”, he joined Mai Lei Bel in the spring of 2020.

His debut for the label, 7-tracks EP “Absorvations”, is showing Adam’s melancholic nature in combination with ethereal downtempo electronica at its best.

Thematically the EP attempts to portray an inevitable cycle of feelings. From a cold harsh unknown (Raureif), from where you wish to return, followed by a journey through glances of hope and relief as you approach familiar territory (Thaw) into a brief moment of comfort (Soils), which is soon replaced by everyday annoyances and uncertainties before finally regressing once again as all which made you leave or yearn for a change in the first place reemerges in unbearable cacophony and you want all of it to just freeze … until you need it again (Tumult).

Musically the overall atmosphere of each segment is conjured by distorted, glitchy instrumentation, minimal repetitive melodies, beats and samples with tape-like lo-fi processing. Synths, saxophones, warped guitars, unintelligible vocal samples, ambient textures, experimental randomizations

Uncanny Valley

Repress

Credit 00 delivers his debut album "Game Over". After four EPs for Uncanny Valley the Leipzig based musician is now ready to let loose his electronic visions on full length. As everybody can confirm who saw him playing live or DJing, the head behind Uncanny Valley's sub label Rat Life is a slave to the rhythm on a full-time basis. Obsessed with sound, he can't stop pushing the buttons of his synthesizers and drum machines like someone torturing the controls of an Arcade machine. "Game Over" is an electronic love letter to the romantic fantasy worlds of classic video games and their bleepy and clonky sounds which used to be common also in repetitive electronic dance music. Collecting tracks from the last six years, "Game Over" is also a passion project that channels all his influences. You can get a glimpse of the ingredients that make up his record collection. Whether it is Hip Hop,Techno, Electro Boogie, New Beat, Italo, Jungle, Reggae, House or Chill Out. Though, all those different sounds and styles do not tear this album apart. It's a bit of a miracle that it feels so flawless for what happens between the appetizing "Level One" and the final track "The Last March". Those beats on "Game Over" can be brutally effective like the fatalities in Mortal Kombat while the overlying sounds can be smooth like the lemmings' animations in the eponymous Amiga game. Just listen to the title track. Or the instant hip shaker "Breakers Revenge" that comes with a little help from friends like Sara Stammburg on vocals and Max Rademann on Rhodes. Without losing sight on the dance floor Credit 00 creates an electronic wonderland that delights dancers and connoisseurs at the same time. To top things off the wonderful artwork was created by Alexander Dorn a.k.a. Credit 00 himself. The double 12" comes with an arcade video game inspired sticker designed by Credit 00 himself.

Mindy Meng Wang x Tim Shiel - Nervous Energy 一 触即发

Early in the year 2020, the world saw an unprecedented shutdown unlike anything we had experienced in living memory. Communities everywhere closed ranks, putting an end to physical interaction between individuals in response to a rapidly developing and unpredictable crisis. The streets emptied of rush hour traffic, and landscapes took on a new and eerie silence.

As a result, we found our thoughts wandering the world, while our physical selves remained firmly at home. For artists, creative energy was frustrated by the physical sense of confinement. But human beings are resilient creatures, and so individuals began reaching out to each other across the empty spaces, finding inspiration in cooperation and partnership.

The recordings featured here are a direct result of these times. Drawing upon existing source material, these artists worked remotely over the course of a year, exchanging ideas and developing the finished pieces that you now hold in your hand. In the course of this activity, new means were found, and new works unearthed that may never have seen the light of day.

We do not intend this as a statement of strength and durability, for that would imply that human beings are rigid and cannot change. Instead, we hope to celebrate that fact that we can change, we can adapt. And we celebrate the link of humanity that ties us together in this world that we share.

Teis Ortved - Parks At Night

Teis Ortved

Parks At Night

12inchBAT003
Bathurst
10.06.2021

We are delighted to present a raw, young talent from Copenhagen - the city of fairy tales. Indeed, Parks at Night, the debut album from 17 years old Teis Ortved, could very easily provide the soundtrack for a recently unearthed Hans Christian Anderson story. In fourteen moves, the devoted multi-instrumentalist tells us the tale of his relatively short journey so far with confidence that belies his age. There's no ego or showboating here as this modest musician brings together seemingly disparate technologies with apparent ease, marrying sequenced beats and plaintive pianos overlaid by ethereal vocals that take his very special music somewhere other-worldly.

To fully appreciate Teis' universe we need to dip a toe into his upbringing, his wonder years and the family unit that has had so much influence on his fascinating musical output. Both his father and mother are musicians - the former having previously been a drummer in a danish band, and almost from birth, Teis would sleep backstage at his parents shows. Teis has been immersed in music his whole life - even his sister is a renowned violinist. There was no escape from the arts in the Ortved household, nor was there been any desire to do so, which probably explains the sense of calmness in Teis' productions. His music feels like a pleasure; a natural outlet; one that's never been stifled and always been encouraged.

"I'd mostly play piano but also drums and the occasional bass. The saxophone came in a bit later when I was 12 or 13, around the time I began to get into jazz-territory types of stuff." Teis Ortved

Like any good tale, Parks At Night opens with a beguiling introduction that draws you in. I Don't Like Dreaming was written when Teis was holed up in a cabin in the woods, with most of the sounds coming from a single keyboard. The physical and musical restrictions allowed him to experiment and broaden his use of the sax and vocoder to spine tingling effect. An effect that follows through into the beat laden Moments, where sprightly piano, brass and those mesmeric wordless vocals trade places before surrendering themselves to a lush synthesised finale. The vocal layers take his music somewhere ethereal throughout, add something softer to counterbalance the programmed beats, although nothing ever feels at odds with anything else. This communication between generations of instrumentation is akin to the musical communication within Teis' home between parents and child. About Right continues the instrumental hip hop aesthetic with its steady drum patterns, before Relative provides an unexpected plot twist as pads scatter and fracture and Teis picks up the pace before once again immersing us in lashings of luxurious keys and brass. Sequencers feel like an extension of his musicianship rather than something bolted on to traditional instrumentation. They have their own solos as well as the "live" instruments and pass in and out of the conversation that is 'jazz'. As we reach the title piece, a key moment in any story, more space is opened up for the musician's various voices to tell their part, until Later That Night the sound of the syncopated drum returns to duet with swirling horns and take us almost to the midpoint of the story. Damn, despite its assertive title, is a tender moment that moves us on neatly to Dreamfunk, an assured interlude at the centre of this esoteric LP. After a vibraphonic introduction, Cliff continues the confident tone, with brass and piano maintaining their beguiling exchange, whereas Silence lets the piano shine against deft drums and lush strings. Those piano keys gather pace and confidence during the dramatic Aight, before settling down to Leave with saxophones, xylophones and violins combining to take us somewhere quite emotional and climactic. The story's not quite over there though as Shade provides the dark side of its predecessor with a similar refrain offering a perhaps more tenebrous ending to this tale. And like all good tales, it needs an epilogue - in this case an Aaaaaoutro - where Teis' physical voice has the final word.

Inkswel - Say Goodbye

Threading their way across house, hip-hop and downtempo electronic landscapes since 2019, French imprint Cosmocities re-emerge with their fourth studio iteration “Say Goodbye” by Aussie-born / Berlin based vibist Inkswel featuring Phat Kat and Jitwam, supported by a choice pair of reworks courtesy of Adelaide's Beyond June and Amsterdam’s Jacob Otten, alias Kid Sublime.

Presented in both vocal and instrumental form, Inkswel’s hydroponic new single “Say Goodbye” blends the finest of sun-baked hip-hop and hazy R&B into a fine-grained slice of ethereal Cali-funk, as masterly provided by Phat Kat’s raw, choppy verses and Jitwam’s velvet-like timbre. Weaving a silky-smooth narrative out of retro string samples, intricate drum-programming and vaporous envelopes, Inkswel’s newest is poetry in motion, making the most of the self-balancing, therapeutical power of music.

Up on remix duty we find OZ talent Beyond June, laying down a playfully oneiric revamp, halfway cosmic abstraction and down-to-earth urban character. Transcending both spheres with non-conformist dash, the track reaches for uncharted galactic recesses. For his part, Kid Sublime takes on the cut with more of a fevered boogie approach, pulling out the infectious Rhodes stabs and athletic bass moves to keep every dancer on their toes as the drum beats a steadily sensual tempo.

ONE MILLION EYES - Brama

One Million Eyes was born out of a need to start again. As the duo previously known as Tempelhof - where they worked alongside musicians such as Gigi Masin - Luciano Ermondi and Paolo Mazzacani experienced a pivotal and personal moment in their lives which inspired a reset in their approach and the need for a new musical outlet. It would be easy to try and describe such a transition in terms of wanting a new music style or a new ambition, but simply put, they wanted to get back to enjoying making music again. As they explored the instruments amassed in their studio and drew upon their upbringing amongst new-wave and rock, any ties to their previous output were forgotten and inhibitions were lost. Brama, their first album as One Million Eyes, was born. With this newfound freedom of artistic expression clearly evident, Paolo and Luciano created a classic Balearic record, reminiscent of that energy, storied mysticism and longing to return to a place full of good memories. As the sun disappears below the horizon and the final track closes out the afternoon's haze, you're left wondering whether this trip ever happened or was ever quite what it first seemed.

I Conceived 'darkly' In 2015 As A Piano Album. I Was Fascinated By This Instrument And Couldn't Think About Electronic Music At All. I Spent A Lot Of Time In Front Of The Instrument Before My Fingers Could Play What Was Needed. And At Some Point, I Got A Few Solo Piano Tracks, But They Sounded Very Raw And Unfinished. Almost At The Same Time, I Was Getting Back Into Experiments With Electronic Music And Focussed More On Recording Piano In An Electronic Context. Paying More Attention To Different Textures And Multilayeredness. I Was Working On Soundtracks For Films By Noir Films And This Helped Me Finish Two Compositions, Which Later Determined One Of The Directions Of The Album And Served As A Bridge Between The Solo Piano Compositions I Recorded At The Beginning, And The New Electronic Tracks. At The Beginning Of 2018, I Got Back To The First Solo Piano Tracks To Give Them A Finished Form, Adding The Missing Elements That I Could Not Hear Three Years Earlier. I Wanted To Make A Piano Album, But I Got The Album Which Was Formed By Itself And Became A Result Of My Experiences, Worries, And Events Of My Life That Occurred During These Few Years. I Dedicate This Work To A Human, Which Shares This Life With Me, Supports Me And Believes In Me Like Nobody Else! I Dedicate It To My Wife.

Zero 7 - Shadows EP (feat. Lou Stone)

Zero 7 have released Shadows EP via Make/BMG. The four-track release is the British duo’s first collection in more than half a decade and sees them team with renowned new singer-songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Lou Stone.

From the melancholic electronica of Shadows, the ambient sheen of Outline to the lush arrangements of After The Fall & Take My Hand, Zero 7 fuse their long-standing gift for soulful songcraft and inventive production with the London-based Stone’s standout vocal delivery.

“The Shadows EP came together after a very fertile period of writing together with Lou Stone” explain Sam Hardaker & Henry Binns. “It’s the first body of work we’ve released since EP3 back in 2015 and hopefully is the start of many more creations".

Early tracks have received a groundswell of support from the likes of Lauren Laverne & Chris Hawkins at 6 Music, Robert Elms at BBC Radio London, as well as plaudits from Clash, The Independent, American Songwriter, Flood Magazine & KCRW.

The group recently shared a stunning live video for Outline which Clash described as ‘a spell-binding union of inventive production and that beatific vocal from Lou Stone’.

It’s almost twenty years since the release of the duo’s Mercury nominated debut Simple Things, which simultaneously catapulted Sia into the spotlight back in the early 00s. Shadows EP hears Zero 7 still at the very top of their game, and with an open ear for collaborating with rising talent along the way.

The NEW MORNING - Riddims Of Culture 3

Repress!

The final 6 track reissue EP of Munich's mid-90s Afro-Cosmic project, The New Morning, completes the archival while expanding their sound of heavy African / Brazilian influenced sampling and percussion to include Balearic, House and Trance.

Again a trip to the Cosmic wonderlands of Global Rhythm Records, Riddims 3 brings this collection of DJ Otti and Jay Pee's, plus support from DJ Thilo and DJ Fred, vision to a close.

More eclectic than cohorts like Tribal Italia out of Cesana or Stefan Eggers' Sound Station Records, The New Morning enwraps world beat music for the eclectic, post-hippie generation. Monotonous beats, deep bass, memorable melodies, sampled in a tribal mystic.

Included here, the previously unreleased Kongo Bina points to a fuller sound, where heavy samples are overridden by analogue machines. As found across the 3 EPs, the collage of sounds, laced with live percussion, make the party.

From the weekly gatherings across north Italy into Austrian and on to Munich, some twenties years pass but the journey from the original Cosmic club to now fits. Time for an "Afro Funky" discovery.

Friends, it is time for a finish. Here's the seventh and last chapter of the festivities that we put together for our 50th catalogue number. Once again, the mighty graphics wizards Doppeldenk from Leipzig provided us with a delightfull artwork. And once again, you'll get a record that sports a kaleidoscope of sophisticated dance music from Uncanny Valley veterans and newcomers. This time with the emphasis on bright and positive timbres which can be associated with the colour yellow. Cuthead starts things with a bang and his PARTY CHORDS set the tone perfectly (including neck pain after nodding your head to the beat like there's no tomorrow). If chords could be president this would get a lot of votes. Massimiliano Pagliara shifts down a gear with the acoustic road trip SUNSET FUNK, a masterfully arranged track, made up for driving around on your bike, skateboard or whatever vehicle you are using to get from A to B. The slow and sexy IWESU YEWISU from the soul brothers of Duererstuben is a longtime favorite in the Uncanny Valley headquarters. We are super happy that this groover will finally see the light of day. Panthera Krause provides the subtle but euphoric THE NAKED NOW, a House music lesson that's bubbling under the surface. And finally, Uncanny Valley first-timer Daniela Da Luz closes the record with WHEN YOU GO ALL IN AND WAIT, a drum heavy but also embracing excursion into your own neural circuit

Falling That You Know

Northern Soul
01.03.2021

Since first emerging as part of Crazy P in the late 1990s, James Baron has released a lot of great music. However, he’s previously put out very little quite like the Falling That You Know EP, his first solo outing as JIM on NuNorthern Soul.

The Falling That You Know EP sees Baron exploring an explicitly stripped-back, sensatory and soft-focus sound. It features a quartet of hazy home recordings created using little more than an acoustic guitar, piano, keyboard and some toy instruments belonging to his children. The music stretched across the EP is warming, wide-eyed and picturesque, with Baron showcasing his rarely heard singing voice as well as a finger-picking guitar style he’s spent the best part of 18 months perfecting.

Those with a wide-ranging musical palette will spot subtle sonic references to some of Baron’s lesser-known musical inspirations, including singer-songwriters Ned Doheny and Nick Drake. There’s a folksy, homespun charm to the camp-fire-ready bliss of loved-up opener ‘Falling That You Know’, where Baron delivers his own thoughtful lyrics atop shuffling shaker percussion, layered acoustic guitar, smooth bass, synth-strings and sustained piano chords.

Arguably even more impressive is ‘Phoenix’, a swelling, simmering and sweeping semi-acoustic cover of The Cult track of the same name featuring backing vocals from Crazy P chanteuse Danielle Moore producing a stunning, sunset-ready take on the classic.

Baron’s dedication to the finger-picking style long associated with British and American folk music comes to the fore on ‘Whisper in the Wind’, a future early evening singalong that gently builds across six spellbinding minutes.

Then there’s closing cut ‘You Know What To Say’, an effortlessly emotive, tactile and atmospheric affair that cannily distils all that is good about Baron’s latest solo venture into three magical minutes. It offers a near perfect end to an EP of rare pastoral beauty.

TAL
03.03.2021

AN ANTWORTEN showcases two new tracks from Tokyo based producer TENTENKO alongside revisited and reworked versions by TOLOUSE LOW TRAX, MM/KM and NIKA SON.

Whilst on her first ever European tour in December 2019, TENTENKO played a number of highly energised live shows in venues such as Salon des Amateurs or Alien Disko Festival Munich, where she has had the chance to finally meet up with some local electronic producers like TOLOUSE LOW TRAX, MIX MUP, KASSEM MOSSE and NIKA SON, whose work she had admired from afar for a long time already. Through these meetings the ideas towards this remix ep began to take shape.

TOLOUSE LOW TRAX toils a tuff sort of hypnotizing Crepuscule-Hiphop minimalism. His SPRAY SKY MIX is faithfully in tune with the original TENTENKO material whilst still bearing his most explicit rythmic signature.

MM/KM (MIX MUP and KASSEM MOSSE) have over the years consolidated a strong identity of non conformist dance music. When MM/KM stressed that they would rather answer (ANTWORTEN) the sounds of TENTENKO than doing a mere remix, this approach led not only to their “GET VERSION” but also ended up supplying the title of this EP.

NIKA SON’s MIZU-IRO MORPH is exploring a more narrative based dramaturgy of sounds that imbue the original track with a duskier cineastic appeal.

TENTENKO is a Tokyo-based electronic music producer. Her career began in 2013 when she joined the mainstream idol group BiS. Immediately after her departure from BIS in 2014 she commenced work on her solo project under her artist name TENTENKO. Since then she has radically reinvented her music away from glossy J-POP towards weird and industrial rooted dancefloor.

Clear Vinyl

It is the year 2020, a year that addresses our awareness of diversity, tolerance and sustainability in an assorted, socio-cultural way. We translate this demand into music. "Nuthin' But A She Thang" focuses on a marginalised view of instrumental beat music.

This sampler, reflects a cross-section of the international female producer scene: 14 female artists, 8 countries, 4 continents, one language - music! The 14 instrumentals take the listener on a musical journey, which creates a tension between classic sample sound and modern current productions.

The many facets of female beat producing are presented by exclusive contributions by Ainie (DE) o Aygyul (AT) o Courtney Hawkins (US) o Da Chick (PT) o Georgia Anne Muldrow (US) o Gnarly (UK) o Jillesque (US) o Josi Miller (DE) o Julie Schatz (US) o Lisa Vazquez (US) o Sadiva (AUS) o Saltyyyy V (DE) o SOWALL (KOR) o USAGI (JP). Together with Stylefile as a cooperation-partner, we were able to persuade none other than HERA (DE). She implanted an even more artistic approach and added an exclusive artprint to this piece of music.

Our latest Release DDCT003 is in the end not only a musical project, it is a statement, it is an attitude.

REPTANT - PHASIC REFLEX 12"

Expert in trippy joints- and knee-buckling bounce, OZ-based producer Reptant is back with a vengeance after an array of choice outings on the likes of Salt Mines, Planet Euphorique and Craigie Knowes!

No warm-up lap needed, ‘Phasic Reflex’ may start as a tycho-esque daydream, what’s bred in the bone comes out in the flesh. A pure adrenaline rush of vogue-ing 303, hi-voltage electro- and intricate
drum programming, this one has dancefloor ripper written all over it.

Keeping the tension up to hazardous levels, ‘MS Plenty’ zones out to a Detroit-style elixir of arpeggiated seesaws and pong-indebted, body-jacking pep. As it's title suggests – or not, the B-side opener ‘A Realist’s Realistic Reality’ clearly lies closer to a cyphered Dick-ian parallel world full of binary bleepin’ and swirlin’, post-kosmische infused riffs and tentacular Arpanet-style modularity, which Roza Terenzi alters into a lo-pressure dub expedition – better tasted at sunrise, feet buried deep in the sand and your hazy mind draped in the cosy folds of a cheerful seaside sloth with friends.

TALKING DRUMS - VOL.4

Talking Drums

VOL.4

12inchTD004
TALKING DRUMS
30.04.2021

Back with a bang for 2021 the TD team tame another couple of unclassics, offering end of night emotion and druggy chug on this wavey wax.

The A side looks skywards from the Mediterranean shore, waves of delay lapping its toes as Italo melancholy and Balearic sincerity go straight to its head.
A lovelorn ragazza finds comfort in kalimba and 'Wicked Game' sobs softly from a nearby tabaccheria, signing off a postcard of this holiday romance.

Things take a turn for the trippy on the flip as 'Close Orbit' shifts gears on a synth-pop standard in favour for a zero gravity throb.
Packed with slap bass, slanky percussion and the faint hint of new beat, this Afro-cosmic stomper is a slow tempo, high energy heater.

Limited Press - Numbered Insert - Drum Fun Guaranteed.

Bon soir et bisous.

Christian Coiffure - Un Nouvel Âge Réminiscent

Worst records is proud to present the third release of its growing catalogue. Unlike his
alias could evoke, Christian Coiffure is not so much specialized in online hairdressing
tutorials but has a fierce passion into brushing serious quality tracks. « Un Nouvel Âge
Réminiscent » hits hard with its progression into sharp and colorful forms, never bound to
redundancy. From slow EBMish , industrial tainted marching anthems of « A New New
Hope » and « Slowly Merging Into One » to synth-infused acid railroads built for futuristic
Trance Europe Express trains in « Révolutions Synchrones » and « La Dernière Volonté
des Atlantes », everything functions as a toolkit for imagination. Add to this a breaky
andrefreshing post-dubstep turn on « Biosphere is Reborn » alongside a delicious
headshot surprise on digital bonus with « Pouvoir Lacrymal Renforcé », and you will
never see the word « coiffure » the same way again.

LAURENT GARNIER - FLASHBACK (25TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION)”

For those who have been following Laurent Garnier for a long time, know how multipurpose this artist is, how his status as "best DJ in the world" is only a shortcut used by default. It should be recognised that this man is gifted with an extraordinary sense of combat, and that he has been fighting for many years to impose good music on the public. Laurent Garnier has always refused chapels and privileged actions; he does not support repetition, even less compromises, and certainly no downtime.
