Having risen to fame as a core member of Bob Marley's Wailers, for whom he wrote a number of famous songs, the late Peter Tosh found considerable acclaim as a solo artist, recording a number of classic reggae albums that reflected his strong Rastafari faith and political convictions. This superb live set was taped in Atlanta, Georgia for FM radio broadcast as he promoted his Bush Doctor LP (released through Rolling Stones Records, because Mick Jagger and Keith Richards were huge fans), and is presented here together with background notes and images.

Modern, postmodern, Torpedo Boyz! You cannot re-inent music. This is what Kentastic and Rollin Hand say. In 2004 the duo formed as Torpedo Boyz to put their extrordinary know-how about music, their creative drive as well as their fun on stage and behind the DJ booth into perspective.
- Gimme A Bassline!' was the track which had its simple message written all over the forehead. 500 vinyls were manufactured, sold out in a few days and were not re-pressed since. Why that Simply because too much happened afterwards which had Torpedo Boyz hustlin' and bustlin' all over. 'Are You Talking To Me' was the second single which is still a firm favourite on the DJ decks around the world and introduced the album - Headache Music'. In the meantime - Start Being Nicer', the third single, developed into a veritable radio hit. Followed by live gigs in Germany, Switzerland and Russia as well as the show at the prestigious Fusion Festival which proved that here are more than a few DJ nerds, home producers and chief ckeckers twiddling knobs on their laptops. Torpedo Boyz are doing their thing beyond the independent mainstream and the investigations of the jazz police. Surely an entertaining little story which is waiting for the next chapter to be written.


This is why we now have - Cum On Feel The Boyz'. 11 new tracks out of the crazy laboratory of the Torpedo Boyz including the new single - Japaneeze Boyz'. What do we have here Is it glambreaks, or discofolk Kentastic and Rollin Hand know the score. To make their vision become reality the duo enlisted a bunch of conspirative confidants. Returner. global traveller from Puerto Rico, is not only a mad MC but also a brilliant lyricist. ODD Daisuke comes from Hiroshima, is able to jump higher than two meters while rapping and produces technocratic electroclash as ODD. Bosem is a guitarist and bass player extraordinaire, but hates rehearsals. That is the reason why he does not join Torpedo Boyz on stage. Kurtis Bo lookes like Bonnie Prince Billy, lives in the woods and runs his guitar amp on solar energy. Together with Borat he is the rhythmical backbone of the band. Borat, the newest member of the collective, plays drums and loves The Beatles. A good explanation for his haircut.

EX VERSIONS is a conceptual disco band from Germany, that plays extended versions, edits and mash-ups with synthesizers, electronic drums and bass guitar. The sound is deeply rooted in the tradition of Jamaican music production, early disco recordings and today's party sound. - From Studio 1 to Studio 54".

The project was founded in 2011 by Stefan Schwander and Marc Knauer. In the studio and at live concerts the group consists of various musicians. Currently in the recording of the first 12' the following artists are involved: Stefan Schwander on Synthesizer (Harmonious Thelonious), Philipp Janzen on drums (Von Spar, Cologne Tape), Christopher Marquez on bass (Von Spar) and Michaela Melian on vocals (F.S.K.).

Classic Michael Jackson tracks expertly mashed up with big name artists

Finnish DJ crew Rollomatik break out on the Boogie Boutique imprint with a two track release that aims to represent the Arctic Circle fully in the nu funk/breakbeat scene. Formed of Hesh & Eaves, Rollomatik aim to rock the party and that much is evident on this cheeky 12" with "We Love To Party" deftly blending Will Smith with Chic amidst a melange of other recognisable samples. A similar approach runs through flipside jam "The Greatest" as Rollomatik lay down the vocal from an oft used Q-Tip solo joint over a heavily filtered take on Sister Sledge's most ubiquitous track.

Boogie Boutique have only had one year in the game, and in that time they've smashed the Juno Download sales charts with their digital releases. To celebrate their first birthday, they've dipped their toes into the glorious world of vinyl with this double 12" with seven of the label's finest tracks to date plus one exclusive. The first 12" features Hayz' UB40 sampling "Ghetto Rat" and Ninelives The Cat's "Let Me In", (a brilliant fusion of "Be Good To Me" and "Cross The Tracks"), whilst the flip features Kid Stretch's "Get Down To The Funky Sound", featuring a cheeky Destiny's Child sample amongst its old school hip-hop good time feel, and Badboes' "Show Me Ghetto", an infectious rework of Robin S' 90s classic "Show Me Love", featuring numerous funk-acid tweaks.
