Kabanjak is the producer behind many of the versatile outings from Switchstance Recordings â€' the German label on which the American soundsmith Fat Albert Einstein released his album "After The Beep" in 2011. Now both come together for a trans-Atlantic outing which is deeply rooted in the Jamaican dub styles of masters like King Tubby or Augustus Pablo in the 1970s and takes their concepts into the NOW.

Multi-instrumentalists Kabanjak and Fat Albert Einstein once again show the many facets of their trade, both composing using bass, guitars, organ and various keys; most importantly melodica. Add to this Fat Al's tough live drums and Kabanjak's employment of flutes, percussions and general sound wizardry on the boards. "Dub O' Dup" is an instrumental journey, echoing between contemplative chillaxation and more uptempo-oriented tunes, all the while paying homage to the original dub founders â€' and even paving a way into the future of sonic exploration. Six tracks and an Ancient Astronauts remix.

Tapes is back on Meeuw, this time enlisting Diggory Kenrick and his dusty flute takes the lead. Low slung, sub-warming digi dub.. backed with a sublime instrumental!TIP!

"Destroy The Invaders" gilt als das beste Dubalbum der frühen 80er von Lloyd James aka Prince Jammy, dem späterem King Jammy ! - Aufgenommen im Channel One Studio mit der Roots Radics Band und im King Tubby's Studio abgemischt, u.a. basierend auf Originalversionen von Junior Reid, Hugh Mundell und Wayne Smith, wurde die LP, auch inspiriert durch den anhaltenden Erfolg von Computerspielen wie 'Space Invaders', in einem ikonographischen Artwork von Tony McDermott erstmalig 1982 veröffentlicht. Ein Longplayer der in jede gepflegte Sammlung des Dub Reggae gehört!

Dublin's Dirty Dubsters Drop their biggest collaboration to date with Legendary Uk reggae ArtistTopCat. This infectious good time reggae riddim is complimented perfectly byTopCat's sweet flow and catchy lyrics which is all about the girls. This tune is set to fire up any festival or summer soundsystem and support comes from Australia's Spenda C who wades in and ups the tempo with a Jacking Moombahton mix complete with crazy Synth line for the raving crew. Brooklyn's Lion Dub also pulls the reins with a heavy Jungle remix for the bass heads. Something for all tastes on this release from Irish Moss Records.

Necessary Mayhem producer Curtis Lynch aka Da Grynch has come up with another musical masterpiece with a new riddim named The Gorilla, probably the strongest beat the label has unleashed so far, charged with a super heavy bass line and crushing drums. The line-up of artists who have vocalled on The Gorilla reads like the who's-who of the current reggae industry, spread over a series of three 7' plates and a bonus 12' featuring Grynch dubs. On this third and final 45 in the trilogy, newcomer Franz Job sings the hook for UK Dancehall star Mr Williamz on 'Viva Marijuana' - no prizes for guessing what that song is about. Backed up with Chucki Starr's heavy 'Locked Up', both sides here are tailor made for the conscious-reggae bass-bin massive.

A sophomore three-tracker: singer Mbene Diatta Seck in sombre consideration of street-kids and parental neglect, buoyed by propulsive drumming and trenchant bass; a second version without vocals, laying bare the poly-rhythmic interplay between marimba and percussion; and a mesmeric six-minute instrumental, with bassist Thierno Sarr grooving out on the top string of his instrument, bringing an elusive Manding flavor to the deep Mbalax mix.

'We speak one language now,' says Sierra Leonian singer Janka Nabay of the band he calls the 'Bubu Gang,' an eclectic group of New York-based musicians who fell in love with Janka's frenetic 'bubu' dance music in 2010 following Janka's American debut on True Panther Sounds. In the year and a half since their first show, the band has started infusing bubu music with a broader range of stylistic influences, and Janka has evolved into an inspired band-leader and MC in the tradition of James Brown and Fela Kuti.
