Sparring Partners strikes again for round two with a rare heavy dub stepper release. The deadly combination of Taiwan MC and Bony Fly puts on a ruff track that raises the crucial question of who runs the dance.
Front side, the Cool & Deadly Chinese Man crew singer Taiwan MC delivers an outstanding vocal performance with a straight and dangerous flow on a hardware dub riddim built by the Geneva based producer, Bony Fly. On flip side the producer offers a deep extended dub version of the riddim.
This 12 inch vinyl record perfectly suited to soudsystems is strictly limited to 500 undisputed and undefeated copies. No repress.

Dub Store Records presents King Jammys Dancehall 1985-89, Part 1.
The "Digital Revolution" occurred in the Jamaican music industry by a single rhythm called "Sleng Teng". The responsible person for the rhythm was King Jammy who was the owner and producer of the Jammys label. The label dominated the scene between 1985 and 1989, and released a vast number of material. Dub Store Records compiles the best of the 80's heavyweight Dancehall from the Jammys catalogue. The collection consists of "Disc One: Vocals & Deejays" and "Disc Two: Instrumental Dub Version". Each disc features popular songs and instrumental dub versions on the "Heavenless", "Love Punanny Bad" and "Far East" rhythms, among others. They also include rare collector's tunes like Anthony Johnson's 'Dancehall Vibes', and some of the tracks appear for the first time on CD format.
This is a crucial selection for all Dancehall lovers.

Dynamic dancehall singer Anthony Johnson began his career in the mid-1970s, cutting a few sides for Channel One before he joined the group Mystic I who cut some great work for Lee Perry and Linval Thompson before disbanding, leading to the hit material Johnson cut for Jah Thomas as a solo singer. Togetherness dates from 1993, when Johnson was long based in London, but his singing kills remained on par as in his heyday, the album a mix of ballads, pop adaptations and songs of dancehall appeal, the soave production values and one-off vocal style making it popular in Brazil and other territories. A lost gem, ripe for rediscovery!

The prolific and internationally renowned Dancehall artist, Blaiz Fayah, announces the release of his new album "Shatta Ting" on February 21, 2025.
For his new album "Shatta Ting," Blaiz Fayah returns with pure Shatta instrumentals. Produced between Martinique, Paris, the Netherlands, and Spain, the album is built on collaborations with top Martinican beatmakers like DJ Glad, Mafio House, Gyzmo, Mikado, B Mad, as well as, of course, Kybba, Tribal Kush, and Limitlezz from the Basshall Records team. Over the years, Blaiz Fayah has forged a strong artistic bond with these talented beatmakers, whose productions are the starting point for each of his tracks.
"Shatta Ting" features two standout collaborations: one with the bad queen, Maureen, on the track "Money Pull Up," and another with the singer Le Jèm’ss, a leading artist of the new generation, on the song "Whole A Dem." Blaiz Fayah shares a common artistic vision with Le Jèm’ss, who is also the first signing to his new label, Mad Ting Records.
To accompany the album's release, Blaiz Fayah will embark on a world tour with his musicians and dancers, performing in France, Europe, Canada, Latin America, and East Africa. The highlight of this tour will be a unique show at the Olympia on January 31, 2026, promising a new performance, fresh arrangements, and plenty of surprises!

: Kondi Band return with their long-awaited sophomore album, ‘We Famous’ on October 1st as Sorie Kondi, Chief Boima (INTL BLK) and Will LV join forces once more for another essential dose of Freetown freestyle.
Following on from their ‘Salone’ album in 2016 and the massive single ‘Yeanoh’, the new recordings further hone the group’s unique fusions of Sorie Kondi’s inimitable vocals and the kondi thumb piano with intricate dancefloor electronics. The album was gradually recorded over a period of four years with Sorie on the road in Belgium, Spain and Canary Islands with the main production collaboration between Boima in Los Angeles and Will in London. The result is a varied and colourful set of tracks infusing Boima and Will’s wide-ranging dancefloor influences. Infectious first single ‘She Doesn’t Love You’ features guest vocalist Mariama Jalloh speaking home truths about rejection while future 4/4 dancefloor anthem ‘It’s God’s World..’ features a mighty bassline from prolific L.A. musician / producer Sweatson Klank. ‘Sweetness Don Don’ ramps up the dub and sound system energy while ‘How Will It Be For Me In This World’ sparkles on a bed of electronic textures and kondi lines.
‘We Famous’ is released on 1st October on CD, LP and digital and will be supported by a full PR and marketing campaign worldwide. The album was mastered at Transition Mastering with package photos by Dominique Fofanah in Sierra Leone and cover design by Lewis Heriz.

First ever publicly available dip into Lil Toby’s hugely influential TSBO mix series, a 4 hour / double tape
session of essential late 90’s early 2000’s Dancehall murder from one of the most pivotal operators/
compilers/DJ’s on the underground scene - following his work bringing Mo Wax’s genre-defining ‘Now Thing’
compilation to life in 2001 and appearances on some of the earliest mixtapes from The Trilogy Tapes back in
2008.
The TSBO series was a precursor and testing ground to what became the ‘Now Thing’ compilation which Lil
Toby co-complied with Toby Feltwell (Cav Empt) and Frenchie from Maximum Sound. The mixes consisted
of that proto “Now Thing” sound from the late 90’s - early/mid-2000s, arguably the most future sounding
period in Jamaican music. Rather than looking back, the TSBO mixes were made from brand new releases and
pre-releases Toby copped at Blacker Dread and Dub Vendor - including things like Volume riddim (released in
London prior to coming out in Jamaica). In this sense, the TSBO mixes are a time capsule of a hugely vibrant
time on the streets/clubs of South London, clubs that Lil Toby was playing at regularly alongside the Honest
Jons crew.
There were 100 or so TSBO mixes made between 1999-2004, mostly recorded to minidisc and handed
out to friends and sometimes played on pirate radio, with many of them copied, passed around and soon
enough worming into the very fabric of London’s rich Dancehall culture. This 4 hour double set features
Toby’s personal favourite selections from the series, and is the first time any of them have been released.
Alongside riddims that have since become rinsed classics, the set includes a ruck of material that was only
ever available at Blacker Dread that have more or less been forgotten about in the years since; making it
an important historical document selected and mixed by one of the original heads, but also the tightest,
deadliest 4 hour dancehall session you’ll likely ever set your ears on.

‘K Bay’, out on Domino Recordings, is the first new solo
material from Matthew E. White in six years.
Matthew E. White describes the album as a “love affair
with music.” It’s a record thrillingly engaged with an
eclectic range of contemporary and 20th Century popular
music. The daring production mines and foregrounds longsimmering but previously veiled influences from the realms
of hip-hop, electronic pop and dancehall but all filtered
through White’s self-described outsider perspective.
‘K Bay’ is an homage to Kensington Bay, his home studio
where he records his personal projects and is his
sanctuary of creativity (White’s second studio,
Spacebomb, is where he works on collaborative projects
and has recorded and produced records by Foxygen,
Natalie Prass and Flo Morrissey).
More than love, romance, or self-reliance, this is the
animating ideal of ‘K Bay’ - that we can forever strive for
something better, no matter how flawed or blessed we
have already been. A decade ago, Matthew E. White made
a classic beauty no one expected; on ‘K Bay’, he has
made a masterpiece by harnessing what he’s learned from
that community and life itself in entirely unexpected,
electrifying, and reaffirming ways.

Authentic Kingston heat, straight from 1987. Recorded at Dynamic Sounds and produced on the Apple Tree label, Michael Headley’s unruly “Tom Sawyer” captures that raw late-80s digi energy straight from the source. Fully restored and officially reissued for the first time since its original pressing. A raw and rebellious cut from Jamaica’s digital dawn, unmistakable Kingston grit.
