After a string of 12"s on a variety of labels including her own co-run (now defunct) Immigrant/Imminent Recordings and an astonishing single on Planet Mu in late 2009, this double-A of 'Picture / Spectrums' is Subeena's debut release on her own Opit Records label.

The second release from Belgrade's Svetlana Industries is something quite different and equally special. This seven track mini album represents an 18 month collaboration between Brainfeeder beatmaker Teebs and his British counterpart Jackhigh. It also marks the unique evolution of the beats scene as a truly international online phenomenon.

This opening shot leans heavily towards the dubstep end of that sound spectrum, as this review in DJ magazine ably demonstrates... 'Scanone has been hitting the dubstep scene hard with this double-tracker, packed with pummelling beats and bassline pressure. M2J's 'Odd Sockz' is already something of a scene fave, its rubbery descending b-line and bouncing breaks spelling floor friendly mayhem - especially when it hits the breakdown. Scanone's very own 'Bleep 23' is a little darker and technical but no less accessible, charged through with another mighty bass ride. Made for maximum floor damage. 4/5.'
