With high profile support and collaborations boiling over left right and centre and several boutique vinyl releases to their credit, DJ bookings across New Zealand and Australia have come quickly and to lauded receptions.Old school producers and DJs from the era of vinyl and 'by ear' engineering, their sonic fidelity has seen their Crushington tunes described by the likes of Antiserum as the perfect studio mixdown reference. Following his release on Naked Lunch, Canadian producer Kevin McPhee returns with his first release on Bristol's Idle Hands label. 'Sleep' gives subtle nods to early Burial tracks whilst showcasing McPhee's individual charm and a contemporary house sound. 'House 44' wears influences from Actress and Herbert on it's sleeve, offering a stripped down swagger that travels to deeper tones and soulful tendencies. Following his inclusion on Hessle Audio's '116 & Rising' compilation, Randomer returns to Raffertie's Super imprint with the four track 'Obtuse' EP, which also marks the label's first outing on vinyl. Otherworldly and tribal, title track 'Obtuse' manoeuvres menacingly with crafted aggression. 'Obtuse VIP' is altogether different, more terrifying and unlike anything else. 'Lost Everything' is both hypnotising and intimidating in equal measure whilst the agitated flow of 'Dope' twists a restless hook with a dark acid-tinged beat. Trust us when we tell you that this firing track is going to be turning dance floors into casualty wards across the land throughout the summer. Heavy!Over on the flip of this monster package is Hype Funk. The instantly recognisable intro will prick up your ears and pull you in before skippy beats, chopped up samples and earth shattering bass finish you off. It's the kind of banger that might have even the residents of the local cemetery raving in their coffins. An essential floorfiller this, and a tune that will almost certainly get you laid each and every time you decide to unleash it on the masses.

Inofaith searches carefully for his own sound, and takes on the experiment with his debut 12. This EP features the tracks 'Dawn Is Late': a very orchestral, deep piece with a very welcome 2-Step kind of beat. It follows up with 'Girls Go To Bed Early': which illuminates a more synthetic depth of the release. The subtle resonance on the synths brings the track alive. The other side of the record starts with the enchanting, yet uplifting 'Twelve Hours'. You realise you are getting caught in the music when the feminine voice kicks in and lets you drift in circular patterns. The final track is called 'Nocturne': calm as the title may seem, it's the most energetic and glowing track of the EP. Inspired by the atmosphere of dusk on a spring evening, it closes the EP with some cinematic movements. First run pressed on coloured vinyl, limited to 200 copies.

Do a quick Google search for eLan and the Internet will most likely generate results for a female singer from Latin America, a reggae vocalist from LA, an all-male rock band from Slovakia or the alleged pseudo-name used by Brainfeeder artist Tokimonsta. Few results will actually tell you that eLan is also Elan Stouffer, a mysterious but prolific beatmaker currently residing in San Diego.

Stillcold Records is a new label from East London, dedicated to releases existing in the physical realm. With its focus squarely on pristine sounding vinyl, Stillcold patrols the shadowy borderlands of house and techno and their many bass-weighted mutations. As continuous explorers of the crossroads in machine music, Stillcold connects the dots between the mongrel rhythms taking shape in cities around the world. It will continue to be an outlet for questing and experimental sounds, which may - or may not - be clandestine signals from known artists exploring the darker realms of classic house and techno. All this on heavy, limited vinyl pressings, cut and mastered at Dubplates And Mastering in Berlin. For those that know. Stillcold's initial offering, three tracks by Lesotho Protokol, is already the subject of much underground debate with its stylish turns of technoid kwaito house, dark funky and boogie-jit. The eponymous 'Lesotho Protokol' uses shades of niche bassline, kwaito, electro and techno to hang colour on an obesely fat bass and skipping snare / hi-hat syncopation. 'You're Mine' rolls out triple-dipped subs and chopped vocals with a funky-tech accent, seemingly custom-built for a Pearson Sound or XXXY set. The final flourish of '2 Fly' is a bright acidic roller exploiting the cracks between footwork, jit and future boogie. Looks as fly as it sounds too. Get familiar, and get that way quick.

500 limited edition 180 Gram vinyl double album that comes with 32 page comic novel. Written and illustrated by Ulrich Troyer. Songs for William is the first in a trilogy of experimental dub projects from Ulrich Troyer and Deep Medi Musik. Ulrich Troyer was born in Innsbruck and raised in Tyrol Austria, he studied Architecture and music at university and now resides in Vienna where he lives and works as a freelance artist and musician. Ulrich has been producing music and experimenting with electronics for over 10 years on various projects that include soundtracks for movies, dance productions, exhibitions and sound installations. Since 2005 Ulrich has also been performing live as a member of the Vegetable Orchestra.Songs For William sees Ulrich explore his love for Dub music and the experimentation's of pioneers such as King Tubby, Sound Dimension and Rhythm and Sound alongside the influences of Mulatu, Tony Allen and the psychedelic sounds of Selda. To accompany this release is the first part chapter of a comic novel featuring the main character William (A guitar effect pedal!) and his journey! All analogue synthesizers, effects, stompboxes, samplers, guitars, percussion and melodica played, programmed, recorded and dubbed by Ulrich Troyer at the 4Bit Studio Vienna.
