Old School Runebreaks is album of official remixes of the old school RuneScape OST sanctioned by Jagex, the game's developer.

I was thrilled when Jagex asked me to put together an official remix album of the old school runescape OST. Like so many of us who grew up gaming in the 00s, RuneScape was my first introduction into online RPGs and the soundtrack is something that's stayed with me ever since. Choosing which tracks to remix was no easy task; I decided on a blend of personal favorites and iconic tunes that hold a special place in the community. It was an honor to be chosen to rework this legendary OST and I hope you all enjoy the result as much as I enjoyed creating it.

This is a remaster and repress of the incredible first release from Ray Keith, when he was usuing his "Dune" alias. Its an undiusputed classic, with awesome piano riffs and vocals, proper old skool breaks and vibes!

Phonomena are back and this time joined by Haste on a mission to Andromeda with 4 Hardcore Jungle tracks ready to do damage on the dancefloor.
Kicking off with a remix of Paul Renegade’s Multiverse from London based Jungle veteran Haste that has been floating around on dub for a little while. Taking the tempo of the original up a notch this is the perfect track to start the EP with its Mentasm fuelled mayhem.

Rage and Renegade then drop their first track on wax together with Best Served Cold, taking a sample from a 92 classic then twisting it up with some distorted bass before switching things up as the track progresses. This was made over a bunch of Saturday nights late in 2024 and continues the vibes from the first two records.

At the end of side A there’s some scratch samples for DJs to battle with, pitched to the perfect tempo to use with Hardcore and Jungle.
First up on the flip DJ Rage drops a bass heavy breakbeat workout with Ready To Roll. This was made to contrast with Haste’s remix, a bit more laid back at first but slowly building up to a euphoric tear out towards the end.

Paul Renegade closes out the EP with Dark Carnival, a trip to the underworld with haunted samples and effects that drops into some full on bass, no letting up here with more Hardcore pressure to rattle your speakers!
Coming on ice blue translucent vinyl with hand stamped labels, these Kniteforce exclusive versions come with in an Ice Blue (single colour) label or Electric (double colour). These special editions are limited to 30 copies each.

Anyone that's been checking my sets of recent will probably have heard the tunes on this release, it's no secret that I'm a big fan of DJ Sofa's work and I'm very pleased to have a full EP from her on the label.

Her style is versatile, ranging from hardcore to melody focused jungle to dancefloor style ruffness & much more and she covers all of that on this release, alongside a remix from Dev/Null of 8205 Recordings and a collaboration I did with her.

TWILIGHT 003 sees the first of many collabs (hopefully) with other artists on the label.
Out There: Hypnotic bells, synth layers and Dertie’s frenetic break programming keep the energy flowing throughout this one. A big dancefloor stomper with some cheeky R&B vocals spliced in. Watch out for that drop!

Hold Me: Melodic summer vibes released in the heart of winter. Big pads and melodies over some firin’ breaks and several switch ups throughout. Put this on, grab someone special and give them a big hug. And then maybe add in a skank or two.
Big Bad Boys: We are the big bad boys from England, or so it’s claim anyway. Rounding off the release with something more ragga inspired. This stemmed from the vocal sample, taken from the much rinsed Saxon vs Addies clash, and that catchy horn snippet. Add a few more bits in and bob’s yer uncle we had a serious stepper on our hands.

The fourth instalment in Pev's Pulse series finds him further widening the scope of his sound as he touches on the distinct energies which inform his unique strain of soundsystem techno.

'Pulse XIII' deals in stark, tweaked-out acid lines cutting through a taut drum machine backbone, balanced out with a sci-fi pad which lets you know its Pev at the controls. 'Pulse XIV' finds him dialling up his jungle roots once more for a dreamy excursion into diced up breaks, cascading synths and dislocated piano chord chops. There's a deeper dub techno spirit to 'Pulse XV' and 'Pulse XVI' deals in the raw, bleep-informed jack tracks that have started to creep into Pev's sound as the Pulse series has evolved.

Livity Sound is a label set up by Peverelist in 2011 as a vehicle for a raw and exploratory strain of UK techno, rooted in the heritage of UK dance music and sound system culture. It has since become one of the UK's foremost protagonists for cutting edge underground electronic music.

Ice Cold_ A nod to early/mid 90's tech step / jungle with a modern twist. Ruffage breaks with cold and dark atmospheres and a super low sub treatment. Chorux_Angelic Vocal pads take us on this Jungle Trac with IDM influences. Ice Hop_ A Glitch Hip Hop take on Ice Cold, Dark & Frosty.

These are all tracks that were available digitally as part of the artists single sales, and that people wanted us to press on vinyl. This is a very limited album, and like all Kniteforce White, it will never be repressed. It comes on glorious clear blue vinyl.

Former Good Looking Records Don - Wes Kyro debuts on VNR with two slices of pure golden era sounds

Mad Cannabeatz and Tuse have taken things to the next level. In addition to collaborating with MC Sabot and Cheeba, they’ve brought on board some incredible talent, including IDA World Champion DJ Ride (Portugal) and DJ Damndanny (Philippines).

The album's flagship track is the official anthem of the 2024 IDA World Finals, adding to its prestige and impact.

The project also boasts guest appearances from an impressive lineup of artists: DJ Pac1, DJ Falcon 1, DJ Steez, DJ LAB (Fat Ape), PZG, and JWP.

Faces Of Bass head honcho Coco Bryce once again dons his DJ Y moniker, delivering two slices of four to the floor sorcery.

Cheech Wizard is straight-for-the-throat hardcore acid, which wouldn't have sounded out of place at a turn-of-the-century squat party in a deserted warehouse in Rotterdam.

On Junk Waffle he opts for a more rave-centric jungle techno vibe: stabs galore, deep subs, pounding kick drums and a solid dose of Amens.

"You Got" is the only amen track here, a fast paced tune and one I really enjoyed working on. "Think About It" hits hard and is really fun in the mix. Finally, "Transit" closes out the EP. If you like Reese bass, you won't be disappointed with that one: straight and to the point, powerful tuneage.

Vol. 10 of Meeting Of The Minds is here, with 4 collaborations with some producers whose music I've enjoyed.

"Experiments In Motion" is by me & Parallel, one of the first people I ever collaborated with, back in 2011, with a tune called "Vega", which was released on a German label named Alphacut. We made a lot of other music together at the time, like "Innerspace" on Blu Mar Ten Music, "Your Life" on Green Bay Wavs (Green Bay Wax's digi label), but this is the first collaboration that we've made together in a long time, so I'm quite happy we were able to make it happen again after a break of many years.

Next tune is "Symbolism", which I made with Ben Kei, who runs a record label called Dalston Chillies (that also does some quality hot sauce) that I released on in 2020 with 2 collabs that I'd done with Dwarde & Comfort Zone. He's actually one of the first people I met in in person from music, at the first ever club night I went to in 2011, Jungle Syndicate's 1st Birthday at the Rhythm Factory. We've known each other for quite a long time but never actually worked on any music together so it only made sense to get on the case with collaborating.

X-Altera is someone who people may or may not know has a lot of history in this music, better known in the past as SK-1, involved in some of the earliest new jungle I had heard, most of it coming from a label called Rewind Records that he ran with Soundmurderer. I discovered Soundmurderer through his Wired For Sound mix and when I found out more about him, I learned about all the music the two of them had been making in the early 2000s like "Call Da Police", "Badman", "Soundclash" and many more. But I had no idea about his newer jungle alias until I stumbled upon his "New Harbinger" EP on Sneaker Social Club & then his self titled LP on Ghostly International, bringing a different take on modern jungle to what I was hearing from other people. I had him on the list of people I must work with Meeting Of The Minds for a long time & am glad to finally be able to tick him off the list.

Last tune on the release is "Step Back", which I made with Sheba Q & No Nation. I've been keeping tabs on both of them for a long while now, from when I first met Sheba Q in person after she came down to a Brighton Loves Jungle event that me & the rest of the Green Bay Wax crew played at a few years ago and when I met No Nation at a Distant Planet event. No Nation had started this tune with some vocals that Sheba Q had sung and I was keen to get involved with finishing it.

A1 - Continuum

Teaming up once again the original Spatial production duo open their latest EP serving up a thumping onslaught of amen goodness with Continuum, a track which takes the classic Demon's Theme break and carves it to bits unreservedly with a myriad of chops, cuts & edits. We are treated to some delicious filter work later in the track over a shimmering backdrop of synthwork, glazed with a bunch of micro melodies, bleeps and FX.

A2 - Depth Perception

Meticulously constructed vintage breakbeats immediately set a brisk tone with Depth Perception before a blissful early interlude reminds us to sit back and take a breath, before our breaks return - blanketed with an introspective layer of serene synths & keys which somehow combine perfectly, resulting in a tonal mosaic only ASC & Aural Imbalance can conjure up with their combined skillset.

AA1 - Distant Orbit

Nest up an unsettling, melancholic intro tenuously launches classic atmospheric breaks delivered with that crisp, old school brand new punch we have come to love from the distinctive style of drum n bass Spatial is showcasingand developing with each release. Powered with a lively bassline, it's easy to lose yourself in this piece as the track lives up to its title and sends the listener far beyond the confines of their speaker.

AA2 - Cold Front

An intriguing, inquisitive energy opens Cold Front with an assortment of breakbeats woven together exquisitely in a collage format, DJ-friendly yet mellow at once . The dialed-back airy backdrops showcase a glorious intricacy to the breaks, so detailed with umatched clarity - they almost possess an ASMR-like quality, offering new discoveries to the ear each time on repeated listens.

1995 was a huge year for Ant Miles & Andy C with new tunes exploding from their studio in Hornchurch, Essex. Once again exploiting the Amen break to the fullest with bass pounding 909’s matching the transients to the rhythm exactly with the profound vocal ‘What goes around comes around’. This track once again featured the Ram style hard impact drop and roll out. For the flipside ‘Here and Now’, Ant Miles invited his regular session singer Maxine Barden over to perform original vocals over a more melodic ‘liquid’ style Drum and Bass track that was awash with haunting pads and strings.
