* Support from Friction this week (w/c 5/5/14). He has picked the Refusal Mix as the dnb tune to watch this summer on Skreams Radio 1 show, has also featured Refusal, Wires and The Calibre mix of Rotary Motion
* Introducing Integral Select - the highly anticipated, long-awaited compilation album from Integral Records, set to catapult the well-respected label back to the forefront. Set up in 2007 by influential, legends in the game, Glenn Herweijer and Zula Warner aka Artificial Intelligence, the 25-strong discography represents all styles of drum & bass music with that extra edge and a quality that resonates with the passionate pair. The label has been influential in breaking artists such as Lenzman, Alix Perez, Technimatic, Survival and Lomax; and the new album will celebrate and showcase these significant talents.
* 16 June 2014 sees the 13-strong CD release hit the shelves - a body of work that stands tall; its integrity and quality deep-seated in cutting-edge drum & bass, that long witholds the test of time. Reinvigorating Integral classics from the label's archive, the album features four hot new remixes alongside a bunch of fresh material that represents a wide variety of sounds across the spectrum; and a few hidden gems from the vaults, still sounding as fresh as ever come included aswell.
* It's an Integral family affair with music from Zero T, Command Strange, Technimatic, LSB, Survival, Alix Perez, Lenzman, Hold Tight (aka Lomax) and Redeyes alongside impressive debuts from Phil Tangent who is quickly rising through the ranks as well as the hot new outfit currently storming the scene, Scar.
* The journey starts lusciously deep with Holdtight's stunning 'Wires' - infectious and melodic; stunning piano riffs and warm breaks set the refined, Integral groove. Followed by the super smooth new remix from Alix Perez of Zero T's legendary Refusal, featuring the soulful Steo; Perez's signature liquid funk magic rolls in its finest form continuing to set the bar high. Recently aired on Radio 1 by Friction, the hype on this one is buzzing; fans excited by Perez's return to his musical DnB origins.
* Next up, 'Could Be Mine' with Command Strange at the controls and subsequently Phil Tangent with 'Remembrance', listeners are then graced with beautiful and mesmerizing instrumentals that capture the heart; Calibre's enigmatic remix of 'Rotary Motion', successively keeping the next-level vibes consistently rolling. With a mesmerizing intro that instantly captures, the dancefloor drop and enigmatic pulse reaffirm the fact that everything this producer touches truly does turn to gold.
* Holdtight now take back the reigns with 'Shortlist', followed by a magnificent update of 'Serendipity' from LSB; two more imperative lessons in the finer side of liquid DnB. Both tunes inspired with rich, indulgent piano crescendos and deep magnetic basslines; the vibes are guaranteed to keep that fire burning.
* Label honchos Artificial Intelligence follow up with their magnificent update to Lenzman's 'Ever So Slightly'. Much-hyped in the lead-up to the Integral Select release schedule, this track also features on the album sampler and has been picked up UKF, Drum & Bass Arena and exclusively aired on Radio 1 by Friction.
* Next up, the re-work of Lenzman & Redeyes' 2009 liquid jazz anthem, 'Thieves In The Night' from Technimatic unleashes the duo's much-loved, hyper-coloured, uplifting and emotionally charged party vibes, in their fresh take on a musical drum & bass extravaganza.
* Starting to switch it a little darker, Survival's amazing 'Don't You Know' follows on. Featuring the striking and distressing vocals of Mr Porter, punchy beats and stabs, this one tugs on emotion, whilst making sure you move. Scar then swings the mood into that of the dark and gritty underground. 'Something From Nothing' successfully fuses heavy breaks and nasty funk bass with a wash of oldschool, soaring pads and ethereal vocal reminiscent of the 'Timeless' era.
* Nearing the end of play, Command Strange then diversifies with a new smasher by the name of 'The Croc' - its epic and heavy-hitting, tech vibes, ensuring listeners are fully immersed in the full spectrum and hip-shaking in the secrets of drum & bass for life.
* The journey outro ends on an experimental tip, Holdtight winding it down with the seductive half-time, minimalistic grooves of 'Captured In Frames', enchanting and then leaving listeners yearning for more.
* The Integral Select compilation album is one for the repeat, and will never tire. Guaranteed to hold a special place in any drum & bass lover's collection, it will be available from June 16 on CD and all digital formats. Keep your ears to the ground for the follow up single featuring more superb music, due for release, mid July.
