"Detest", although very young, has a high musical maturity, and has already printed on many top labels Hardcore-Techno underground (Deathchant, Rebelscum, Face Off, Strike, etc ....)

Vibing off of light, layered keys and female R&B coos, Break gives us a rolling five minutes of pure A-side. Not to be lost in the air, a thickly chopped break plays overtop sub bass as filter resonances enter at the offsides, carefully touching on the interplay of voice and gated percussion. Break's take on Mako's recent Billie Holiday homage bounces its bass and hi-freq drums between two densely layered snare notes. * Detail meanwhile is fresh out of the Ukraine and has already made a name for himself, despite only releasing since 2011. He drops with the statuesque Godzilla, which rises slowly out of the ether, switching back on itself until the tune is fully realised, and then smashes your system into submission. Expect full-on craziness, as the electro-tinged beat slaps you round the chops, with the insistent bass attack delivering the body shot. However, as with all Addictive releases, there's still more than enough music in the piece to keep it coherent. Harsh, resonating and completely mental, the heads will love Godzilla as much as the DJs will love dropping it.

Few artists can boast the same creative scope as Legion & Logam. Owning a back catalogue of melodic rollers which exemplify their lasting impression, the trio's technicality often goes unrivalled. It's unsurprising then, that Program stepped up and showcased this exciting and pivotal release. For anyone unaware of their masterful production style, the artists have introduced themselves in two halves. And both tracks are delicately woven, sonic blasts to the aural senses.



The ride begins with 'House of Cards', tightly coiling its energy like a spring and snapping under its audible weight. Firmly compact with booming drum loops sat defiantly amongst the scratch, snap and skit of percussion, the two elements juxtapose flawlessly. The ethereal arpeggio of piano notes leads into the soulful, wispy vocal of Adam Wright, and it adds a delicacy to the record which only emphasises its detail. Nevertheless, it still holds an intimidating depth which begins to surge with power between each layer. Every break subdues your synapses into submission, as they struggle to intercept the icy allure that this track manifests.

Next up is 'Solace', a power house of emotion conveyed with each atmospheric pad succession. The melody weaves back and forth through a pumping-bassline, skipping momentarily, before driving the track forward and pulling every sound into a wave of command. The more humanistic elements are brought to the surface, despite being quickly submerged, ghost-like against its musicality. Relentless, dark and brooding, but full of clarity and sentiment, this record consummates a style which the producers are renowned for.

The mysterious Black Pearl imprint returns to wax with a 4 track EP from Lost City, a production team with an undeniable appreciation for the Old School and a cutting edge approach to the new. Revisiting a hit 2012 reggae tune, Liondub International presents the official re-release of this digital roots burner with a thick 2014 remix pack featuring jungle legends and rising stars including Potential Badboy, Serial Killaz, Curfew Steppas, Cabin Fever, contributing weight for our 21st release. The OG version features vocal spots from Norway based Nico D and 21st century reggae heavyweight Turbulence singing praises of the herb over an up-to-the-minute riddim produced by Bost & Bim out of France. Contributing a vocal mix, Potential Badboy contrasts the more faithful vocal version, backed by a minimalist jungle drum & bass foundation. Nicole Willis, soulful chanteuse, releases another single from her acclaimed LP "Soul Makeover" - "Siesta" in late June.

"Siesta" is one of the slower, more sultry tracks from the LP, and this time around, it gets two new mixes: one from Finland's Roberto Rodriguez,a spaced-out soulful dub groove and a garage mix from Temple of Soul.

More surprises abound with the B-side remixes of "Heed the Sign", also from the "Soul Makeover" LP. The first mix comes from Finland's premier spaceman and husband to Ms. Willis, Jimi Tenor, a fresh and surprising acid house workout! Iceland's GusGus also deliver a remix with laid back grooves and Chris Dawkin's guitar solo.

Nicole Willis is from New York, and this track is taken from her debut LP "Soul Makeover", produced by Nicole, Maurice Fulton and Jimi Tenor. However, Willis is no stranger to the recording industry. She has recorded with a variety of artists including Leftfield ("Swords" track from "Rhythm and Stealth"), Curtis Mayfield (!!), the The, Wax Poetic, and Deee-Lite. She also fronted the group REPERCUSSIONS (Warner Bros. US) from 1989-1995, with its New York-style of acid jazz. Her forthcoming LP for Sahko is a blend of sultry house, electro Motown soul and deep grooves.

Beta 2 makes his over-due return to the camp with three slices of freshness, two of which feature vocalist Steo. Dublin's finest are welcomed back with open arms!

Built around Steo's vocal refrain, 2nd page glides and moves around effortlessly with tight and well executed drums pushing the track forward. The hypnotic and almost psychedelic string carries momentum as the reese sits low in the mix, making this a perfect mid set number.

Beta 2 takes things in a much techier direction but still retaining that funk that's needed Headz. Marching kicks and snares roll out with huge rides, the turnaround edit is a classic kick snare kick affair as you would expect from a track like this, its early virus with todays production values.
*Time Traveller feat Steo
You instantly get the impression this was great fun to write for the pair, it's a 140bpm affair but not as you would think, the reverse kick adds an off kilter dimension to this with techno stabs filtering up and down through track.Very soulful indeed.
