The return of Loadstar has been marked with heightened anticipation... But looking at their extensive history, there's no denying their heritage and status within the drum & bass genre. Following the success of their debut 'Future Perfect' album, as well as their monumental live shows and kicking off the RamLife compilation in spectacular fashion, the Loadstar legacy is about to hit another milestone.
Having also remixed the likes of Rudimental, Noisia, Breakage, Chase & Status and Wolfgang Gartner, Loadstar uphold regimented production standards. This is something which is clear throughout their discography. Whether it's for daytime radio airplay, or the murkiest corners of the glob, each veteran commands a musical scope which dwarfs many of their counterparts.
Your first reintroduction to Loadstar's vast repertoire is vocal roller 'Native'. Blending the track's more humanistic elements against the fire of rapid drums and the underlay of piano arpeggios, it exposes a softer composition style which is still vastly intricate. Still dropping on impact, led by peaking voice notes, the bassline begins to distort, demonstrating a darker underbelly. Yet again the duo masters of their craft; Xample and Lomax demonstrate their skyscraper standards which have withheld against the test of time.
On the flipside, the producers dive you head first through a chasm of pounding bass. A driving riddim which juxtaposes the A-side perfectly, 'Once Again' is snappy, unapologetic and a track which is set to ignite any festival with the movement of feet. It embodies Loadstar's Mr. Hyde - it screams the same pent up aggression as 'Warrior' and leaves behind just as much destruction.
A record to reaffirm their versatility, this marks a reunion which will send cyberspace and the musical realm into turmoil. Loadstar are back and in their wake stands two tracks as formidable as the artists' longstanding reputation.

After some sort of slumber, Shabu Recordings is proud to present its new series: SHARMX. SHARMX is pretty self-explanatory: these EPs will be a retrospective that breathes new life into tracks from previous releases. These born-again tracks are then presented under a new form that is dictated by another party, not previously involved in any creative process of the affiliated release. The word Shabu being Japanese for Splash, this leads us to our first installment in the series: Splash Splash Vol..

* A purveyor of the spectrum's deeper end, re-known for an ever quality output, we're pleased to present the 2nd album from Zero T, entitled 'Golden Section', coming on Dispatch this Autumn.
* Taking its name from a classical mathematic formula (illustrated on the album's artwork), Zero T explores the science and maths behind beauty; the factors and stimuli that govern our perception of balance, harmony and beauty in nature, art, architecture and composition.
* Exploring intrinsic reactions to music and how discerning elements can balance against one another, Zero T ventures into the senses across the album; from the mesmerising nostalgia of 'Macushla' and dubbed out roller 'Everything Must Change', to dancefloor poised punishers 'Good For Nothing' and 'Wolf Tone'.
* Each featuring 3 specially selected tracks from the album, parts 1 and 2 are split between elegantly arranged solo jaunts, such as 'Late Nite Movies' and more technically focused collaborations. Linking up with Fierce on the unrelenting, yet, mischievously sampled 'Cross It', Zero T also joins fellow Dubliner Beta 2, with two industrial workouts, including harsh stomper, yet groove driven 'Cairo'.
* Utilizing the technical apparatus to investigate a long adopted term, Zero T carefully maps out the indices to deliver a classic, all-encompassing long player that evokes the senses in numerous ways.

* Over the years, drum & bass has seen literally thousands of record labels come and go. But amid the seemingly infinite imprints that have provided an outlet for the music, very few can claim to have had anywhere near the influence of the mighty Virus Recordings.
* Ed Rush & Optical, alongside fellow 'tech step' luminaries Matrix, Trace, RymeTyme and later Bad Company and Cause 4 Concern, layed down the Virus template on timeless tracks such as 'Gasmask', 'Watermelon' and 'Medicine', as well as LPs 'Wormhole' and 'Sleepwalk', and within just a couple of years had a seismic influence on the sound of Drum & Bass.
* Ed Rush & Optical join forces once again to bring you their 7th LP release entitled 'No Cure'. Representing the next step in both their journeys, the album sets the stage for Virus Recordings for both this year and the future. With dynamism, funk and an overarching sense of groove, the record plays to the strengths of both producers, creating something which is more than the sum of its parts. Take a trip into the darkside, with the experience and talent of Ed Rush & Optical as your guides.
* The album begins with tracks like the stalking, shimmering title cut, which features vocals from MC Rymetyme. The
pace is picked up with choices such as Eternity and Falling Down Stairs, which show that Ed Rush & Optical, both with over 25 years in the game, are still repositories of new, fresh and invigorating ideas. Overall the LP explores themes from the beginning of the duo's careers brought into the sharp focus that modern music now has without ever losing the funk and flavour that Virus has become synonomous with.
No Cure is next level, and will be many people's choice for album of the year.*

* Klute returns to Headz with the Savage Circle EP, a collection of varied tracks that sum up what Klute brings to the camp perfectly.
*Westernized
The EP kicks off with Westernized, a stepping track with a punchy mid range bass that carries that track through, its perfect 3am dancefloor material- eyes down and rolling.
*Mirror
Aggressive with lashing drums and gnarly bass, the breakdown is subtle and dream-like and leads you into a false sense of security before the heinous drop.
*Just What You're Feeling
The most introspective track on the EP but nonetheless still very dancefloor oriented, gliding bass with synth chords washing over proceedings, a fine way to wrap up the vinyl version of the release.

* Emerging from the shadows are the thrills and chills of Royalston's new album the People on the Ground' LP out 30th October on Med School - the experimental sister label of drum & bass empire Hospital Records. For his second album Sydney-based DJ and producer has ripped apart the rulebook with fifteen eccentric and exciting electronic tracks.
* The People on the Ground' LP explores through the obscure yet brilliant sounds of one of Sydney's most talented exports for a haunting and hypnotic take on drum & bass. Title track features the captivating vocals of Hannah Joy and moves through melodic, piano foundations before catapulting into a euphoric whirlwind of sounds and styles making way for the mania to come.
* There are the sudden, schizophrenic switch-ups of Give Me the World' and I Saw the Face of a Person' that highlight Royalston's unpredictable style. His game of guesswork keeps things exciting and exhilarating throughout with influences of techno, house and trance all enticingly tangled into dirty drums and deep bass. The Wrath of Mr Sparkles' and Don't Give Me Up' are not to be taken lightly, unrelenting and unrestricted to any musical parameters.
* Royalston has also enlisted a number of artists to join in the fun and games. Welcoming back Victoria, from pop group MA, cousin and fellow drum & bass producer Pearse Hawkins, Sydney-based singer Emily Harkness and emerging UK hip-hop artist Lyflyk.
* When he's not writing drum & bass Royalston pursues his other passion of illustration, which he's made full use of in this project, with the intricate detail in his music replicated in the artwork he solely designed.
* The "People on the Ground" LP accelerates Royalston from his previous album "OCD", whilst keeping to his unorthodox approach to production mashing and merging genres into one crazed counterpart.

Alix Perez returns to Exit Records with the Recall & Reflect EP. The project shows how versatile Alix's repertoire is, comparative to his very well received recent excursions into progressive half time tracks. The aesthetic of the EP is soulful and introspective, an expression sometimes lacking in the current landscape of disposable music. This aesthetic coupled with Alix's production prowess makes for a very interesting marriage. The EP kicks off with Losing You, led by its vocal refrains and soulful flourishes- it's almost 'vintage Alix Perez' in its execution. Moving into the second track Revolve-Her, the influence of Pete Rock and Dilla becomes apparent, manifested in the track's clipped vocals and string sweeps. Recall & Reflect is a purposeful 'eyes down at 4am' club track, the momentum being supplied by back and forth switches via the percussion and gliding bass. Rounding off the EP is Never Left, a warm close to proceedings on a project that doesn't pander to trends and is all the better for it.

One of the UK's hottest drum & bass acts is going underground with a mystery alias to showcase their new sound; rekindling love for the deeper vibes. Going by the name of Dawn Wall - this pseudonym is one to watch and muster up intrigue for 2015.
* Integral 027 sees the very first Dawn Wall project kick off in surefire style set to storm the scene, and already receiving heavy support exclusively from tastemakers Friction, Marcus Intalex, Artificial Intelligence, Technimatic, LSB and Phil Tangent to name but a few.
* On the A-side, the beautiful 'Simple Mind' opens the release with an epic and uplifting liquid affair complete with big, classic, intelligent intro. Instantly capturing mind, heart, and soul, the bass then drops into vibing musical dancefloor business.
* The flip features two more amazing tunes. 'You Remember' harks back to the golden era of soul-infused Dnb, in a fresh twist for 2015 - it's ragga-inspired grooves and warm gritty bass sounds delving deep. 'If I Smiled' then switches the subterranean tip down another notch with its magnificent sub-bass and soulful, melancholic, medicinal melodies.
* June 22nd sees this stunning debut drop. With a massive album already in the pipeline to follow, we here at the Integral camp are highly anticipating the Dawn Wall takeover! Watch this space!

CNCSN001 is the debut release from brand new label, Concussion Records. And the label have teamed up with some very special producers for the first offering, with Kantyze and Bowsar dropping beats by the dozen.
Kantyze tune on CNCSN001, Prelude To Schism, is a spine-chilling tribute to the future. Out of this world beats get matched with an emotional vocal line, as the duo put their best into what they do. Driving bass sets the course after the drop, and more effects are added in later. This is a perfect introduction to Concussion Records, and will have fans screaming for more.
Thanos takes you on a journey into the galaxy, moving your soul as well as your mind. Huge rumbling basslines collide in your heart and your head, as the three producers pour everything they have into the tune. Breakneck beats on the one hand, deft brushes of samples on the other, this is one tune which has it all. Nothing will prepare you for the power of Thanos, but get ready anyhow.

The Prolific Eatbrain are back once again, with Italian producer Dabs returning to their embracing fold following his 2014 release with them. Having releasing on labels like Dispatch, Avantgarde, and Horizons, Dabs is no stranger to the hard hitting, ultra-modern machine funk sound peddled by the Eatbrain collective.
On his 'Rawbot EP' the Italian producer enlists the help of scene godfather Rymetyme, prodigious talent L 33 and Czech badman A-Cray creating a free flowing EP that smacks like a heavyweight boxer and sings like an opera darling.
The drums are hard and bouncy, the basslines deep and vocal, the collaborations spot on, but there is something beautifully unquantifiable about the music Dabs makes, something in the compositional style that just seems so different from everything else being released at the moment.
Opening number Grindwerk combines the trademark spoken word type vocals of Rymetyme, with a steampunk gated synth line, a tough dutty bassline, and the future neuro type drums that Eatbrain artists do so well, whilst his collaboration with A-Cray - Hysteria - combines a sinister attitude with darkside sound effects, evil bass tones and horrifically brutal rhythm tracks.
The titular Rawbot combines more intricate drum patterns with folding metal robot bass lines and sporadic major scale synth intonations that give the track an odd, retro futurism feel. That Door once more shows off Dabs strange musicality, with an almost ambient, liquid intro that segues - in typical Eatbrain style - into a dancefloor monster with percussive basslines, playing off against, clipped pitched up drums and a weird metal snare sound and other layered sound effects and synth that accents the minimal beat perfectly, before the intro returns, taking the tune off into epic territory before returning the gutter once again.

With a combined history that expands over decades, Calyx & TeeBee's discography is a journey which explores not only their own output, but the genre's history. Having remixed commercial heavyweights such as Example, as well as underground tastemaker Tchami whilst blending genres and paying homage to their extensive craft, their experience is rivalled by none.
And yet again they continue their assault and return onto the scene with one of the most sought after tracks since its first play last year. Featuring the dancefloor genre talents of Doctor, who's recently smashed his way onto the daytime radio airwaves, 'Where We Go' is a collaboration set to end the summer in spectacular style.
An impressively innovative sonic piece of artwork, 'Where We Go' signifies another step towards the hugely anticipated '1X1' LP. Crafting Doctor's party-style vocals on top of an LFO-lead bassline and pounding drum patterns the first drop plummets you down a chasm so intricately constructed there's no mistaking the duo's signature production standard. One of the most epitomical moments from this year's EDC, especially for representing drum & bass, there's no mistaking the collective sigh of relief that it's finally about to be unleashed.
Showcasing their impressive versatility, the flipside is just as impressive but a shade darker. 'Ghost Writer' utilises an imposing sample which sets up a break before smashing it down with pounding subs between a distorted bassline and elevated percussion. An early morning anthem which takes you in the murkiest corner of every club across the globe, it bares its teeth whilst propelling itself forward in a way which only Calyx & TeeBee can command.
So, here's to another single before the duo yet again flex their production muscle across the worldwide electronic charts. With the last few singles in tow, as well as this imposing next release, '1X1' is looking to assert itself as one of the most resounding LP's in the Ram imprints history.

We are proud to present the Loving Touch EP from Fracture, possibly his best yet and upping the ante from the much hyped - for all the right reasons - Get Busy
The EP centres around 'Loving Touch', officially using Ralphi Rosario and Xavier Gold's early Chicago classic 'You Used To Hold Me'. Ralphi loves the track and you will too. It updates the production taking the track to 160bpm, adding some footwork hats and bass but not forgetting Fracture's roots and forsaking the breaks. This drops! Loving Touch has already had loads of club play and since Rockwell sneaked it on to his BBC Radio One show we have been inundated with requests for it.
The rest of the EP is by no means filler and sees Fracture at his creative best, blurring lines between 2014 rave music. Werk It was rhythmically conceived in a dream and realised with simplicity the next morning. A favourite of Machinedrum it's bubbles along with a stripped back carnival vibe, vocal instructions to "go down! / come up!" and clattering soca percussion. One for Notting Hill.
Grippin' Grain is a collaboration with Sam Binga and was written at his studio in Bristol with a steaming hangover. Somehow they pulled it together and delivered a minimal 808 laden piece that never seems to let the tension drop from the first beat to the last. Slammed through an analogue desk adds enough grit and distortion to perhaps reflect the effects of the previous night
Fracture rounds off the EP with Overload and concludes a theme of breakbeats and bass stabs across the project. With block pary Hip Hop human beatbox and UK sound system samples, we find ourselves plunged thousands of feet under the atlantic ocean in a frantic international soundclash.

After over a year in the making, Xilent finally releases his highly anticipated debut album, 'We Are Virtual'.
It has been an incredible few years for the bass music producer who has made an indelible mark on the scene with his hit singles such as 'Choose Me II' and 'Boss Wave'; not to mention his work as a sought-after remixer for the likes of Ellie Goulding, Sub Focus, Excision, Ed Sheeran, Krewella, Katy Perry and many more. The self-proclaimed 'kid from the future' has now come full circle and embraced his roots, while at the same time pushing the envelope with his multi-genre approach; all the time retaining his signature sound that has made him so popular throughout.
The album brings in some top-quality vocalists on feature duty including Five Knives, Diamond Eyes, Grimm, Sue Gerger and more, and crosses too many genre boundaries to count. Needless to say, fans of Xilent will not be disappointed with what is undeniably the definitive picture of his hugely popular, trend setting sound.

* During a career that has spanned over a decade, if there's one producer in the world of drum & bass who constantly and consistently delivers top quality output then you need look no further than one name: Break. When it comes to A-list beat makers it doesn't really get much bigger. Owner of Symmetry Recordings with an exceptional catalogue of music spread across some of the scenes most respected labels, Sigma and Life Recordings are extremely excited and proud to present their latest single from the man himself.
* Taking the lead is Groove With It. Hard hitting marching drums lay the foundation and create space for ride cymbals and twisted, squelching bass patches to fill the in the rest. It's a musical thump to the skull that you're totally fine with taking, Groove With It stomps with all the heavyweight feel and confidence of new Timberland boots. Don't even get us started on the cheeky vocal sample either, adding an extra dose of bad boy boom bap being laid on your ears.
* Soldier switches up the mood yet still retains that heavyweight trademark Break sound. Shuffling two step breaks and gut wrenching low end, a staple of much of his material, give it more of a darker edge. Soldier is reminiscent of Break's material on DNAudio and is proof that when it comes to the raw basics of this music: just drums, just bass... there is no one who does it better. Let it be known that Soldier is definitely one for the heads and those bass stabs on the second drop. You have been warned.
*With the stamp of approval coming from one of drum & bass's highly regarded musicians, it's more evidence that Life Recordings is moving in the right direction and there's more exciting stuff to come. For now though... it's time to Groove With It.

* It's fair to say it's been quite a while since we've had any new material from Life Recordings, the imprint owned and run by drum & bass superstars Sigma.
* Well the wait is thankfully no more. After penning a deal with 3Beat Records last summer and recently puncturing the charts as well as mainstream radio with their infectious anthem Rudeboy, Cam and Joe felt that 2014 was the right time to reignite the label and are kicking things off with something very special indeed.
* With its mantra like hook, courtesy of Doctor, and old school jungle flavours there's no doubt Rudeboy caught the eyes and ears of many within drum & bass and to those outside it. To reopen the Life Recordings account Sigma present to you: Rudeboy VIP. If the original was one for the radio then the VIP is aimed directly for the heads in the middle of the club dance floor. Taking the catchy lyrics and bleeped out melodies of its predecessor, you're lulled by the sing along nature of the chorus. But then, filtered breaks begin to build before all of a sudden you're dropped into the middle of tearing half time, two step groove held together by hectic synths, totally rewiring the nature of the original to devastating speaker shuddering effect.
* It doesn't end there as a further two tracks round off this rather tasty EP package. All Because Of You tips the more melodic side of the Sigma scale. Rumbling weighty sub bass is the foundation for a moody and musical workout, as unsettling yet hauntingly beautiful multi pitched vocals float over the top of the classy production laid down in front of them. Rounding things off is the high octane Energise. A totally apt track title, it does exactly that in a way Cam and Joe do best. Pure club ready energy, Energise combines ear catching synth patches and talkbox style riffs, giving any club crowd a blast of pure bass driven adrenaline. This will just be the start of what plans to be an exciting year for Sigma and Life Recordings, with more music and releases planned for the duration of the year. For now throw your hood up, turn the volume skyward and walk like a Rudeboy.

* After the runaway success of Nobody To Love, Drum & Bass duo Sigma soon followed it up with yet another smash single to chart at number one in Changing. Featuring the powerful vocals of the amazing Paloma Faith, the uplifting anthem once again caught the imagination of listeners around the UK and stamped Sigma as force to be reckoned with commercially. As an exclusive to their label Life Recordings, Sigma are doing a limited vinyl run of Changing that also includes the storming VIP version, given a little extra bounce with addition of Stylo G.

* This 1st sampler single features the talents of singer / songwriter Kyo with vocals on the the title album track Simpler Times'. A smooth but edgy jungle roller, this A side works as a club, radio or home listening summer flavour. The flip side delivers a classic Break neuro stepper with Top Shooter'. With his trademark funky bongos and heavy bass this one has been road tested in clubs by Break for many months and always delivers the goods on the floor.
* This exclusive B side will not be included on the full album.
* Support from Dj's - Calxy & Teebee , Friction, Spectrasoul, DLR, Xtrah,

DJ Madd is Hungarian-born New York resident Peter Simon. Arriving via Bristol andTokyo he has been writing music since his early teens and scored his first vinyl release in '08. Highly acclaimed for his WAR series of white label releases, he bridges the sonic connection between underground bass music and the Jamaican reggae sound. Amongst others, he has also recorded for N-Type's Wheel & Deal Records, Dubstep mainstays Boka & Subway, Dub specialists ZamZam Sounds, Junglists 36 Hertz and Chemical Records brilliant and sadly defunct Black Box label.
Madd's Cosmic Bridge debut, the 'Rum Punch EP' further refines his soundbwoy science with four big riddims designed for big rigs. Operating in the fertile 160 BPM range he combines heavy 808's with classic dubwise sounds, touching on Jungle, OG '06 Dubstep, Hip-Hop and Dub. He says.... 'My focus is to bring the fusion of reggae music with modern sounds to the next level.'
Sharpened stepper 'Dredlok' fires the first round at Babylon; sci-fi dread synths conspire with the spectres of a murderous Ragga vocal, natty halfstep drums and an incendiary LFO tweaked bassline that will rumble on any system very nicely. EP title track 'Rum Punch' follows with steel drums (their inclusion inspired by Dillinja's clas- sic All Aboard) rolling breaks and colossal weighted bass enveloping another fine-cut 808 beat.
On the flip, is the more stoned and rolling, 'SPCL RQST'. Wide arcing synth pads and shadowy robo-Rastafari vocals samples drift out into space, while the tracks pressurised digidub FX and seriously deep dub chords give a riddim lesson for many, and a red-eyed flashback for the rest. 'Duppy' closes; a sticky digickal roots bubbler for all malevolent spirits. Raw sweeping square wave bass and more dub FX ride on the cushioned sub bass and hydro-charged breakbeats that, like the rest of the EP, are all mixed down for serious soundsystem play, no heavy limiting/compression just dynamic vibes, so we let it all breathe!
Om Unit says.... 'Cosmic Bridge releases so far have drawn on a lot of styles within sound system culture but I had been thinking, what's missing from the picture so far is a representation of the dub element; So when legend in the scene DJ Madd approached me with some more uptempo tunes it seemed fitting to draw on his talents. He specialises in modern dub and does it with such style. So here we are.. a killer 4 tracker with a slice of pineapple on the B side. Who can argue Rum Punch mate, vibes!'

Following the success of Stray's extended project 'Paradise' Exit Records proudly bring you two remixes from label
head dBridge & affiliate Machinedrum. dBridge turns in a massive bass led, left field execution of the title track Paradise. His remix pushes the 85 / 170 envelope even deeper into new realms, the track demands your attention and in return gives back ten-fold in
satisfaction. Machinedrum takes Movements on trip that goes via Chicago, Detroit and ends in London. His trademark execution
of polyrhythms creates a new pocket for the track and in turn puts it into an entirely new light.
