All CD licensed versions on compilations are allegedly a vinyl rip supplied by White House. These official DIGITAL remasters were issued to TCM Records as digital only. This is your first chance to get your hands on what will definitely be the best vinyl reproduction of this music since it's original release in 1992.

Fabio & Grooverider have been at the forefront of UK dance music for over 3 decades. This is the roots of their story told through music.

The 2 London DJ's are part of the DNA of the global Jungle / D&B movement and they have remained relevant, cutting edge, authoritative and essential to this truly underground art-form since it's inception. RAGE could arguably be the ground zero of Jungle. The party was started at London's cavernous Heaven club by Fabio & Grooverider in 1988, at the height of Acid House fever that was making it's way up and down the motorways, slip-roads, fields and warehouses of the M25 and further beyond every weekend, troubling the nation, the police, your parents and the press as it went. RAGE was a different beast, it certainly channelled some of that Acid energy but pitted it against the new and exciting sounds emanating from Belgium, Amsterdam, Detroit, Sheffield, Essex and Hackney and in turn created a new style, a new sonic attitude and energy in the process. Rumbling bass-lines, narcotic synth rushes and roughly chopped and sped-up breakbeats all merged into a style that we now know as Jungle. Nothing like this had been heard before, this was a brand new style and it was coming out of London's West End and Fabio & Grooverider were the people firmly behind it.

RAGE is approaching its 30th anniversary. Its sonic and cultural legacy is still being felt today, Fabio & Groove are still shutting down raves and festivals every weekend all over the world with their superior DJ sets and musical knowledge guided by their pioneering spirit. British-born, Berlin-based electronica producer Kamikaze Space Programme delivers his long-awaited debut album ‘Dead Skin Cells’ for Osiris Music. It’s the sound of eight years of the acclaimed project reaching its zenith, via releases on leading labels likes Mote-Evolver, WNCL Recordings and Mord, and through regular sets at the likes of Berghain and Tresor.

This bold new record mirrors decay of the physical world and the human form through its jarring sound palette and tense atmospheres. It’s a rebirth of sorts, with the title a reference to shedding skin — as KSP has done with his previous aliases. Combining his roots in jungle and dub (as Raiden and Dot Product) with the diverse textures of the contemporary techno diaspora and his skills as a found sound magpie and foley artist, it makes for a riveting, deeply nuanced listen.

‘Skin Cells’ begins with distorted synth buzzes trading places with haunted, heavily processed samples and thundering kicks. ‘Sparks’ channels taut jungle breakbeats, pitched down to a more chugging tempo, while menacing D&B screeches buzz through the track. ‘Dust’ teases DMZ style dubstep tension, while ‘Rain’ shows his mastery of sound design and field recording in a stunning ambient interlude. ‘Insomnia’ reaches for glitchy digi dub in the vein of The Bug with some cinematic undertones, leading to the brutalist sonic architecture of ‘Crumbs’ with its crunching breaks and rasping tones.

‘Derelict’ is the album’s most direct nod to his junglist past, the ghosts of hardcore imbued through blasts of chainsaw bass, dissected breaks and haunting pads. ‘Grey Clouds’ bathes you in thick swathes of ethereal pads and plucked, incessant bass before ‘EF5’ delivers a militant glitch-heavy onslaught. ‘An Empty Sky’ closes the album in apocalyptic fashion, with crunching bass pressure juxtaposed with graceful, filmic chord progressions.

The result of all of this is an album that feels at once uniquely London while perfectly contemporary to the Berlin scene, and perhaps a none-more-perfect sonic encapsulation of the continuing reciprocal dialogue between the two cities. Most of all, it’s the sound of a sonic excavator hurtling towards the top of his game, in perfect control of every granule of sound therein.

The Groove Chronicles is the second solo album release of Bouklas and his very first on vinyl.

The album is based mainly on Soul and Funk samples, chopped, flipped and pitched up by Bouklas and filled with his characteristic Boom Bap beats, giving an extra funkiness on this particular work. Bouklas has clearly been influenced by Gramatik on this LP and he took it to the next level by having some strong international guests on board.
The album includes the rapper INTeLL, son of U-God from the legendary Wu-Tang Clan, Mic Bles, a respected underground Hip-Hop MC from California, DJ Groove Sparkz from Lyon, the 3xDMC French Champion, IDA Vice World Champion and official tour DJ of L’Entourloop and the French vocalists, Cam & Nelly. Furthermore, there are featurings from talented local Greek artists, the vocalists Martzi and Alida SoulMama and the Turntablist DJ Moya, one of the best Scratch DJs in Greece.
The Groove Chronicles will be released on vinyl by the label Mind The Wax on May 2019 and includes 12 tracks.
Bouklas has been active on the Hip-Hop scene as an MC and a producer since 2002 with more than 10 independent projects to date. As a producer, Bouklas has collaborated with some of the most important names in the Greek Hip-Hop scene as well as with the rap veteran Masta Ace, Freddie Gibbs and the Grind Mode Cypher.
Furthermore, Bouklas has shared the stage with international artists such as the R.A. The Rugged Man, Dead Prez, Afu-Ra, Freestyle (of Arsonists), Foreign Beggars, Dope D.O.D., Killa Kela and DJ Vadim & Yarah Bravo.

This third release on City Volts Records from the international producer and DJ collective sees West Loop Chicago channelling their inner Herbie Hancock and The Headhunters for this heavily jazz-fusion influenced record. The A-Side features 'The Serpent', a frantic analogue synth dance floor gem with its Mini Moog and Oberheim OB-6 parts leading the charge, a track very much inspired by Herbie's 'Chameleon' and Barry Miles' 'Magic Theater' from 1975, a Gilles Peterson/Dingwalls standard. The B-side includes 'Divinity', a more soulful affair with its delicious Fender Rhodes chords and atmospheric piano solos, which furthermore highlights the high level of musicianship contained within the 12". Both tracks also feature their respective bonus beats versions with 'Serpentine Bonus Beats' and 'Divine Bonus Beats' providing the rhythm tracks for both.

The duo presents an unusual, psychedelic and moving techno jazz EP in collaboration with techno pioneer Sunil Sharpe, Italian saxophonist and composer Gianni Mimmo and the jazz quartet Gamapawa.
Black Gardenia is a mesmerizing aesthetic sound experience, taking the listener on abstract journeys and into cinematic sceneries. The title track "Silent Rain" opens the A-side with a soft and emotional fusion of drones and saxophone, followed by the sovereign and psychedelic slow groove of the track "Aphex Twin shot my neck". The B-side is a dancefloor killer combination between Sunil Sharpe's intelligent techno remix of “Silent Rain” and Gamapawa's featuring track "Untitled Reconstruction", where drums and saxophone reach the speed of 150 bpm.

Authentic hardcore sound made in an authentic hardcore way, using original ingredients, techniques and studio equipment. All hardware, all hardcore, all the time! However, this one takes a slightly more...piano-ey....turn, and in doing so brings us some of the most brilliant old skool to date. It is certainly an unmissable EP, not only the strongest of the N4s, but also the perfect end to a perfect series. Unless a part 4 comes along, in which case, I will backwards engineer this write up to make it look like it was always gonna be part 3 of a quadrilogy or whatever the word is for that!

Hazards of Prophecy is the latest project from UK producer Dave Rendle ('System Status' and 'The Detroit Urban Gardening Ensemble'). Dave has previously released music on labels including Untracked, Out Here Audio, Horn Wax, Stupid Human, People Must Jam and his own label Night Sweats Music and has caught the attention of global tastemakers such as Gilles Peterson, Phil Asher, Ashley Beedle, Alex Nut and Ross Allen.

Kicking things off with "Percussion Concussion", Hazards of Prophecy lay down luscious chords, a wriggling bassline and carefully spliced vocal chops over a bedrock of interlocking rhythms and whistles in what can only be described as a floaty "Bruklearic" roller. The A2, "Minnie & Marcos", takes things up a gear and brings the listener on a Rhodes fuelled odyssey, swinging through a variety of dynamically and sonically versatile sections as it pulls and pushes limbs across the dancefloor. Finally, "Love & Rum" bring things to a half-time climax with majestic pads, piercing synth runs and a bubbling rhythm section.

Deformer is known for breaking down musical barriers as well as crushing taboos and oh boy, are you in for a treat with this latest release. Musically Deformer reinvents his recognisable sound once again and it's no surprise that over the years many people consider Deformer a genre in itself. The record is fierce, it has dark humor, explicit content, original arrangements and the Deformer signature sound. What better to wrap this release with the bizarre artwork of famous Japanese manga artist Shintaro Kago. It's a match made in.. well, a horror hentai dungeon I suppose. I never knew that I would be comfortable in such a place, but all I can say is that I can't get enough of this record! Deformer has gained popularity in Japan in recent years and this is his tribute to his Japanese fans. Inspired by Japanese hentai Deformer introduced a new genre, sexually explicit Japanese Breakcore now known as: 'Bukkakecore'.

In mid 2018 Denham Audio and & Borai put out a self released cassette tape named Club Glow Vol 1 full of early 90s hardcore and breakbeat madness, it was well received and tracks started showing up in DJ sets and radio shows. The most popular and widely played was "Make Me" First championed by DJs Peach and Sienfield, the track took on life of its own and has been named checked and ID'd in groups many times by people desperate to know what it was called and where they could get it.

We have remastered the track alongside a new production by the duo that also has that 90s hands-in-the-air-singalong feel, and are able to offer a heavy weight 12in complete with artwork by Mani Festo for everyone who has been asking if it was ever going to be released on wax.

‘Binary Order’ is the debut album from Michael O’Neill, a child of Irish immigrants born and raised in North Manchester. A polemic on culture, class and society, ‘The Binary Order’ is fiercely political and musically infectious.

O’Neill can rant like a Mancunian Mark Stewart when it suits him, but he’s a fine storyteller too. An attempt to slide back to certain years in the progress of the rave world, making music that sounds exactly like it was from that particular year, even if it was not. So here we have the classic Jimmy J & Cru-l-t track “Six Days” taken back a few years before it was released and changed into something that might have been. Likewise the other tracks on the vinyl – all are modern day built, but all would sit perfectly on an old mixtape from 1991, or being played in the early hours of the morning at an illegal warehouse party….

Chalke Lom is an enigma. A talented Watford Enigma. Growing up within the London rave scene alongside LTJ Bukem, MCing for Bukem as he was rising up through the ranks and making a name for himself on the circuit. He was also the guy who first pushed LTJ Bukem onto the decks.

This is the true sound of the London Rave scene of the early 90’s, turning the original release of this record into a legendary collectable 12" hitting prices between £130 - £220 on Discogs! Both 'The Resurrection' and 'The Future (Original)' gained cult status by appearing on Bukems mixtapes released on Yamen back in 1993 and helped establish Chalke as a cutting edge Junglist and pioneer of the scene. Please Note: This record was mixed down in a bedroom studio in 1993 and has a raw sound to it. This is the sound Chalke wanted and the sound that collectors have paid big money for over recent years. We worked hard in getting this remastered so it reflects the original essence and vibes of those hedonistic days.

Early June 2019 Frankfurt am Main based label MMODEMM unleashes DRUMS – the first of a series of vinyl compilations in the spirit of signature sounds, stating a tribute to sound-libraries – a deconstruction of your favorite preset sound-groups.
DRUMS will be followed by sound-themed releases FLUTES, VOICES and SLAPBASS within the next months.

DRUMS features a proggy composition by Eva Geist (Macadam Mambo), a raving clave inferno with odd, pitched chants by Cienfuegos (L.I.E.S.), a dance-floor drum-solo straight from Ireland by Lumigraph (Opal Tapes, Mr. Saturday Night) and last but not least – a drunk masterclass drum-lesson by Peder Mannerfelt (Avian, Berlin Atonal Rec), taking house apart with his “Dumb Drums“.

Tallinn's Rando Arand joins up with LIITHELI to release four deep cuts entitled 'Alles' EP.

Rando Arand is an electronic music producer from Tallinn, Estonia with a background in sound design and experimentation. Arand released his first record on Asphalt Soliloquies back in 2017 and has since gone on to perform live at clubs and festivals around the Baltics sharing stages with likes of Dorian Concept, Gerry Read and King Midas Sound.

His 'Alles' EP sees him join Ali Asker's LIITHELI imprint who focus on supporting local artists from Estonia's capital following the likes of Mava & Nebukat, 1212a and the label boss himself, in addition to remixers from across the globe like Vakula and SH2000.

'Maandub' gets things rolling with dubbed-out aesthetics fusing hypnotic low end, meditative chords and eccentric synth stabs before 'Moondub' delivers soulful keys, deep riding bass grooves and fluid percussion.

'Joondub' maintains the breezy atmospherics as it delicately layers alleviating pads, organic pulsations and floaty modulations before 'Avardub' finishes things off with emotive melodies, fast-pitched, natural drums and melancholy tones throughout. Rando Arand 'Alles' EP drops on LIITHELI on 1st May 2019.

Fabio & Grooverider have been at the forefront of UK dance music for over 3 decades. This is the roots of their story told through music.

The 2 London DJ's are part of the DNA of the global Jungle / D&B movement and they have remained relevant, cutting edge, authoritative and essential to this truly underground art-form since it's inception. RAGE could arguably be the ground zero of Jungle. The party was started at London's cavernous Heaven club by Fabio & Grooverider in 1988, at the height of Acid House fever that was making it's way up and down the motorways, slip-roads, fields and warehouses of the M25 and further beyond every weekend, troubling the nation, the police, your parents and the press as it went. RAGE was a different beast, it certainly channelled some of that Acid energy but pitted it against the new and exciting sounds emanating from Belgium, Amsterdam, Detroit, Sheffield, Essex and Hackney and in turn created a new style, a new sonic attitude and energy in the process. Rumbling bass-lines, narcotic synth rushes and roughly chopped and sped-up breakbeats all merged into a style that we now know as Jungle. Nothing like this had been heard before, this was a brand new style and it was coming out of London's West End and Fabio & Grooverider were the people firmly behind it.

RAGE is approaching its 30th anniversary. Its sonic and cultural legacy is still being felt today, Fabio & Groove are still shutting down raves and festivals every weekend all over the world with their superior DJ sets and musical knowledge guided by their pioneering spirit. This musical selection you hold in your hands, the first of 4 parts, sees them delve into their prodigious memories and record boxes to select a true musical representation of the very beginning of one of the UK's most unique and influential musical movements of the last 50 years.
