Berlin’s Oliver Dollar unveils part three of his ‘Contemporary’ series, releasing on Radio Slave’s Rekids 4th April 2025 and following up last year’s parts one and two, which featured the likes of Harvard Bass, Brillstein, ADMN, and Austin Ato, and won support from the likes of Nightmares On Wax, Anja Schneider, Laurent Garnier, Carista, Jennifer Cardini, Dam Swindle, and more.

Part three of Contemporary sees Oliver Dollar invite another cast of hotly tipped collaborators, kicking offthe EP with Melbourne DJ and producers Ben Silver and Boogs - both resident DJs at Revolver Upstairs - for ‘Cosmic Weapon’. Their track features lush, poignant chords underpinned by a rolling groove, with vocal samples warped, chopped, and sliced above for a mind-melting trip. Up next, ‘What Cha’ Gonna Do?’ sees Dollar team up with Apropos, whose inimitable voice previously featured on ‘Contemporary Part One’, and talented Detroit vocalist and Dilla’s Delights’ Boog Brown for a soulful duet. Last up is another Motor City link-up featuring Hazmat Live on production alongside Oliver Dollar for the infectious House energy of ‘Ought To Be Love’, joined by the earworm vocals of Members of the House front vocalist William Beaver, aka Billy Love, known for his work bringing Motown-style gospel vocals to Techno and House with notable Detroit artists like JeffMills, Theo Parrish, Moodymann, Kevin Saunderson, and many more.

Drawn from years of early-hour sets and the quiet intimacy of the booth before the room fills, Gimme The Sun marks the debut EP of Al-Veez (real name Alvise Marino). A seasoned guitarist raised in Italy with musical roots in funk, boogie, and blues, Marino’s release is a sonic travelogue of his formative years as a selector in a city, NYC, that quietly became home. The prominent guitar captures both the ache of departure and the bright, restless hope of return.


With a wistful blend of beachy, meandering textures, lush synth layers, and a hypnotic pulse, the EP lands in time for another steamy summer in the city—sure to strike a chord with longtime NYC house heads, whether they be behind the booth or lost in the crowd. Arranged in close collaboration with TSoNYC label boss Danilo Braca (also on mixing and mastering duties), theshimmering title track reads like a Dear John letter to New York. Tender, honest, and full of gratitude, it’s the kind of farewell only a true love could inspire—one that dances forward even as it looks back.

As the record warms up, “F Train Boogie” evokes snapshots of bright midsummer mornings gazing out a scratch-blurred train car window at the glistening city, while the track that follows, “Sneaky”, sizzles with cosmic allure—an intoxicating blend of luminous synths, tightly interlaced rhythms, and a commanding kick drum that locks the listener into an entrancing groove from the very first bar. “Underwater”, the fourth and final track, shares some of the same allure and mystery, but features a playful optimism, encouraging the listener to lean into curiosity of what the next chapter, night, or DJ set will hold. 


We reunited for this second EP two best friends who have been shaking up the South of France techno community for a few years now. They started as a duo named Flyov before exploring their solo projects. Tibahuult has since been touring all over Europe with his explosive live set, blending Techno, Electro, and Punk music. Nathanaël, on his side, has grown into one of the DJs you don’t want to miss when partying in Marseille.

We’re thrilled to bring them back together on this project, where you can witness how a shared universe can evolve in two very different ways as each artist grows. To highlight this evolution, we selected for each of them one track produced a few years ago and one track created more recently with this project in mind.

On the A-side, Nathanaël opens the EP with a mysterious, trippy, jazz-infused house track, revealing all his finesse as the bass comes to embrace you like a big warm morning hug. For his second track, Cosmic Messenger, Nathanaël dives into a much darker space with a banger designed to destroy any dancefloor it hits

With Bass in the Sound, Tibahuult expresses his love for Punk music and flawlessly merges both worlds into an addictive ear-worm that will stick in your mind all day long. Tibahuult closes the B-side with one of his all-time festival anthems—the track that made me fall in love with his music. This high-energy piece will make anyone dance like the devil has taken over their body.

London-based producer, vocalist, and DJ System Olympia is set to unveil her latest project, M3 Opera,
a five-track EP that fuses her signature sensual synth soundscapes with a bold conceptual twist.

Dropping on April 25th 2025 via her own Okay Nature Records, the EP features a unique collaboration with five distinct female vocalists, each lending their voice to a standalone "act" in this sonic drama.

Inspired by the sleek power of the BMW M3 and the theatrical grandeur of opera, M3 Opera reimagines the EP format as a multi-act narrative.
Each song accelerates through a different emotional gear—romance, tension, liberation—while the lush pads, gritty drums, and dreamy melodies System Olympia is known for provide the horsepower. Australia’s Winston Surfshirt shares his fourth studio album, WINSTON, on Sweat It Out. The semi self-titled record is complete with 11-tracks of doting adoration and tidbits of love told through the playful, unique sonic fusions that Winston does so well. Leng Records proudly presents Everything You’re About to Hear Is True: Volume 1, a compilation carefully curated by Rotation Soundsystem. Brought together by Rotation founders Dean Meredith and Ben Shenton, alongside the Wrekin Havoc trio of Rob J, Stuart Robinson, and Rich Hall, this debut volume captures the collective’s shared vision – shaped by decades of crate-digging.

Founded in 2013, Rotation has grown from a modest gathering in Staffordshire into a thriving community of like-minded music lovers, attracting heads and partygoers from across the UK – and well beyond. What began as an intimate affair has evolved into a full-scale, three-day celebration, now held in a grand yurt and powered by a bespoke six-way sound system. The rig features four Klipschorns, two JBLs with twin 18” and 15” sub reinforcements, compression horns, and an Isonoe 420 mixer.

Meredith explains: “With the help of my brother, Martin, I’m constantly looking at ways to improve the setup. I love the way Larry Levan did that at The Paradise Garage. We have a few things that are custom-made. I want our system to be unique to us.”

According to regular attendee, DJ and writer Steve KIW: “In the right hands, the sound system at Rotation – very much Dean’s labour of love – is untouchable. The comparisons with Mancuso’s Loft come easily because they are deserved. There isn’t a bad spot in the yurt. Wherever you are, it sounds incredible.”

As the dancing continues through the weekend, the DJ line-up has grown to match the occasion. Guests and headliners have included a roll call of legendary selectors: Bill Brewster, Colleen “Cosmo” Murphy, Phil Mison, Nick The Record, Ruf Dug, Mark Seven, and The Idjut Boys — the latter playing a marathon 10-hour set in 2024. The parties have also featured live performances from Emperor Machine, Quinn Lamont Luke, Reuben Vaun Smith, and Orbs of Light.

Presented on gatefold double vinyl, this lovingly assembled collection is the result of decades spent digging through dusty crates, reflecting the selectors’ deep-rooted passion for uncovering rare gems and overlooked treasures. Decidedly European in spirit, the album brings together 14 rarities with standout selections from Belgium, Sweden, Italy, Germany, and France. The vast majority of tracks are true obscurities, and nearly every one is a mid-tempo bumper.

“This has been a long time coming – something we’ve always dreamed of doing. We’re incredibly thankful to Leng Records, who understand our vision and what we’re trying to build. Obrador originated from Olympia the capital state of Washington. A multifaceted group that consisted of many members over the years. They were together from 1976-2006 and was led by band leader Michael Moore. They recorded 5 albums over the period of 30 years. One track of which “Willow” you will find tucked on the B side of this lovely new release. We wanted you Kats to have great value for money and pack the record with two stone wall Dingwall style killer recordings.

The A side “Blink Samba” was recorded at Russian Hill Studios San Francisco in July 1983, after the group made the long journey down from Olympia and back to record a whole Lp that has lay unissued since 2023 only getting a digital release. We stumbled across the tracks whilst doing some research and was blown away. A few chats with member Michael Olson and we knew these had to be on vinyl. They are pure fire jazz with a slightly latin Esq vibe. We can almost see the sweat dripping from the Jazz dancers as they cascade to the rhythm of the percussion “Blink Samba”

Flip it over whilst the floor is still rocking to the track “Willow” Unlike “Blink Samba’s opening percussion this one kicks in straight away with a rasping baseline. You hold on to the bars like you been strapped into to a rollercoaster and get ready for the ride.

Following their acclaimed collaborations ‘Renegade’ in 2023 and ‘Surrender’ in 2024, Parallelle and Nicolas Masseyeff return to Damian Lazarus’ Crosstown Rebels with a third instalment of their evolving partnership on the imprint. I know that people love to read the stories related to the background of each release on Future Retro London & how they came together, but I'll be honest, I have no recollection at all about how this release came into existence????

Sorry that I can't give much insight on anything to do with this release, I imagine that DJ Sofa pitched me the idea to get remixes done of our collab from her FR011 release and one thing led to another...

Rather than try and piece together the process of what happened to make this release into a thing, I'll just skip to the big ups. "Summer Jam" is back! A long-awaited repress of this powerful and joyful tune described as "acid pied piper", with new artwork and new flip-side. EM Records is very happy to again bring you our favorite tune from the artist known as Tapes, here in a 10-inch vinyl/download format that, with its good vibes, positivity and major-key delightfulness, will rescue you from any doldrums you are experiencing, whether personal, societal or cosmic. "Summer Jam" is a solo recording from 2019, but it soars over the worries of the year, any year, with an up- lifting rhythmic lilt, a positive tonality, non-annoyingly catchy melodies and some lovely sonic textures. There's something here for fans of bass music, mid-80s-and- beyond electronic music, and pure toe-tapping good times. There's a sweet chord progression and background drift in the title track that are particularly pleasing, and the flip-side is a very satisfying "acid" live version with his ally, 7FO, that will lovingly catapult you to another major-chord heaven. The sun can shine anywhere, anywhen, so enjoy!

Chicago's Peven Everett has long had a cult following for his own unique, live take on House music. The co-producer and vocalist of Gabriel, which was not only one of the most legendary soulful house tracks of the 90’s but also helped define the two step/garage sound. In 2002 he released 'I Can't Believe I Loved Her' on King Street Sounds offshoot label, Nite Grooves, a soulful piece lamenting a love that went wrong. The track was a worldwide hit and quickly earned itself classic status amongst DJ’s and dancers alike. Both the Original and Calypso Mix are featured on this special charity reissue with all proceeds from this release being donated to Peven’s GoFundMe to help with his lung cancer treatment. Essential!

Following standout releases on acclaimed underground imprints like Klasse Wrecks, Planet Trip, Superior Elevation, and more, Brooklyn-based producer GEE DEE steps into a new chapter with the launch of his very own label, FREE UNIVERSE. The debut release, IT’S A FEELING, is a vibrant four-tracker that showcases his deep-rooted love for hypnotic grooves, playful textures, and dance floor-ready energy.

Swedish italo disco / synthpop duo Sally Shapiro announce their fifth studio album, Ready To Live A Lie. Taking inspiration from synthwave, italo disco, nudisco, indie pop and bossanova, the album becomes their second for Italians Do It Better - again mixed together with label founder Johnny Jewel (Chromatics, Glass Candy, Desire).

Hardcore Rap music is still here! Mike Redman is considered a cult legend known for his unorthodox music production in various genres. He's well known as an artist in the Jungle and Hardcore scene, as a renowned movie score composer and made a name for himself as organiser of the infamous 'Redrum Hip-Hop' events since the 90's which hosted international artists from Guru to Cannibal Ox, Public Enemy, Beatnuts and many more. He also set up Redrum Recordz, a pioneering independent record label focusing merely on anything musically unpolished. Even though Mike Redman (which is his name of birth by the way) was often linked to many Hip-Hop success stories and produced records for artists such as Public Enemy and Big Daddy Kane, Mike has just recently, after many years, decided to produce a solo record featuring the Rap artists he admires and form the foundation of his legacy. With great respect towards his mentors, in a non-profit manner, Mike now releases 'Redrum Relics' featuring Rap icons such as Kool Keith, Chuck D, Schoolly D, Sticky Fingaz, Young Zee, Chino XL, O.C. and many more. This album is truly exceptional and is not made with the intention to be commercially successful, but is a love-letter to a period in time where passion was the motivation. 'Redrum Relics' brings Rap music back to the golden era with a contemporary touch and keeps it unpolished and unyielding as ever. People that tend to say that Hip-Hop is dead might want to reconsider.
