Hellhammer existierte nur zwei Jahre lang, von Mai 1982 bis Mai 1984. In dieser Zeit schrieb die Band drei Demos, eine 12"-EP (Apocalyptic Raids) und das legendäre Death-Metal-Compilation-Album, sowie eine Reihe von nicht aufgenommenen Songs. Angesichts des mittlerweile mythischen Status von Hellhammer in der globalen Metalszene ist es fast unvorstellbar, dass der Großteil dieser Musik fast vier Jahrzehnte lang nie live aufgeführt wurde. Hellhammers Nachfolgegruppe Celtic Frost, die von den ehemaligen Hellhammer-Mitgliedern Tom Gabriel Warrior und Martin Eric Ain gegründet wurde, spielte anfangs zwei Songs von Hellhammer, gab diese Gewohnheit aber schließlich auf, da die Band schnell eigenes Material entwickelte. Die 2008 gegründete Band Triptykon von Tom Gabriel Warrior hat bei bemerkenswerten Konzerten gelegentlich einen seltenen Hellhammer-Song gespielt. Der größte Teil von Hellhammers Werk blieb jedoch unaufgeführt. Bis zum Erscheinen von Triumph Of Death.



Die Wiederbelebung der Musik von Hellhammer war eine Idee, die Tom Gabriel Warrior und Martin Eric Ain seit vielen Jahren diskutierten, ausgelöst durch ihre erneute Zusammenarbeit bei den reformierten Celtic Frost in den 2000er Jahren. Die ersten Schritte zur Verwirklichung von Triumph Of Death, benannt nach Hellhammers berühmtestem Song und als sehr respektvolle und authentische Hommage an Hellhammer gedacht, wurden schließlich 2014 unternommen, und die Band wurde im Herbst 2019 offiziell gegründet. Triumph Of Death besteht aus Menschen, die diese Musik nicht nur lieben, sondern auch wirklich verstehen.



Seit den Anfängen hat Triumph Of Death eine Reihe von hochgelobten Konzerten gespielt, z. B. auf dem Hellfest (Frankreich), dem Wacken Open Air (Deutschland), dem Party.San (Deutschland), dem Brutal Assault (Tschechische Republik), dem Psycho Las Vegas (USA), dem Merry Christless (Polen), dem Inferno Festival (Norwegen), dem Maryland Deathfest (USA), dem UK Deathfest, dem Hell's Heroes Festival (USA) oder dem Mexico Metal Fest. Von Anfang an hatte die Band die Absicht, Live-Mitschnitte von einigen dieser Konzerte zu veröffentlichen. Triumph Of Death ist ein unbefristetes Projekt mit Sitz in Zürich, Schweiz.



Dieses Debüt-Livealbum ist Hellhammer in seiner ursprünglichsten und vitalsten Form, lebendig auf der Bühne und ein Dokument dessen, was Extrem-Metal-Fans auf der ganzen Welt seit der Gründung der Band erlebt haben. Stepping out of the bedroom and into the Real World, Liverpool’s Strawberry Guy headed down to Peter Gabriel’s idyllic Real World Studios with Manchester’s Northern Session Collective in tow and set about trying to soften and expose the bare bones of his two biggest streaming tracks 'F Song' and 'Mrs Magic'.
Stripped of drums & synths, the music is pared down to piano and romantic new strings arrangements, bringing the careful melodies & indrawn lyrics to the fore.
Having recorded the original tracks in his Liverpool bedroom, swapping the originals’ string samples for their real-life counterparts lends the tracks an even more ethereal quality than the self-produced originals. The trip to Real World marks a first foray into studio recording for Strawberry Guy, and a new high-fidelity direction for the project, as he begins the process of making his sophomore album.
The vinyl edition of these new songs is out November 10, and features the two new strings versions along with the originals of both tracks, meaning fans can finally get their hands on a physical version of early single “F Song.”
While the music of Strawberry Guy favours a hermetic, headphones-forward sound lying somewhere between Bryter Layter-era Nick Drake, The Clientele, Slowdive’s Pygmalion, and the psychedelic 70s output of fellow Liverpudlian Paul McCartney, it’s nonetheless become a smash on TikTok and streaming services with a fanatical young and diverse fan base.

Heart's Ann Wilson is releasing a new record with Tripsitter, 'Another
Door'
Prior to starting the 2023 tour, Ann Wilson and her band Tripsitter finished
'Another Door', a record of all-original material, which marks the first time since
the '70s that Ann has written a full- length album collectively with a band.
Tripsitter features Tony Lucido (bass), Ryan Wariner (guitars), Sean T. Lane
(drums), and Paul Moak (guitars and keyboards). Tom Bukovac (guitars) was also
a primary contributor.
ANOTHER DOOR marks the first time in her career where Ann was the sole lyricist
and her presence on a record has never been greater. Ann says, "This is an
exciting time in my creative life; so much new and fresh to remind me of why I
love my calling!"
The cover for 'Another Door' was created by Storm Studio which began in the
early 1990s with Storm Thorgerson, Peter Curzon, Rupert Truman, and Dan
Abbott. Storm Thorgerson and Aubrey Powell co- founded Hipgnosis, who
between 1968 and 1983 created artwork for the likes of Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin,
Paul McCartney & Wings, 10cc, AC/DC, Genesis, Peter Gabriel, and many others.
Following Storm's passing in 2013 Aubrey Powell has worked closely with Storm
Studio on numerous projects since.

 ‘Growing at the Edges’ is sonically expansive, artfully blending
genres from country to classical with the help of multifaceted
co-producer Gabriel Birnbaum (Wilder Maker) and critically
acclaimed string arranger Concetta Abbate. The band,
alongside Lee and Birnbaum, was made up of Wilder Maker
members Sean Mullins (Andy Shauf) and Nick Jost (Baroness)
and features help from Jonnie Baker of Florist and Eva
Goodman of Nighttime among others.

 Mutual Benefit’s live shows are known for their rotating cast of

The Durutti Column viola-playing master - a composer and

"Marathon was formed in 2019 by Mark Kelly, the keyboard player with Marillion.

Together with Guy Vickers, Oliver M. Smith (vocalist), Pete “Woody” Wood (guitar,) John Cordy (guitar), Henry Rogers (drums) and his nephew Conal Kelly (bass), Mark Kelly turned his vision into reality. Marillion bandmate Steve Rothery also joined the band and contributed the lead guitar to the song “Puppets”.

The band recorded their debut album in separate locations between March and July 2020 during lockdown. Colloboh (a portmanteau of Collins Oboh) is a Nigerian-born, Los Angeles-based experimental producer and composer who has spent the past several years cultivating genre-spanning modular wizardry. A self-taught synthesist, Colloboh’s DIY recording diaries (still archived on Instagram) quickly amassed a dedicated online following, eventually catching the eye of Leaving Records founder, MatthewDavid, who wasted no time tapping the then-twenty-six-year-old to perform at the monthly Leaving showcase, Listen to Music Outside In The Daylight Under a Tree. In 2021, Colloboh permanently relocated to Los Angeles from Baltimore, dedicating himself to music full-time, and quickly becoming a fixture of the city’s vibrant experimental scene. Whereas Colloboh’s debut EP Entity Relation (released that same year) dove headlong into club beats, Saana Sahel, out May 5th 2023 on Leaving Records, showcases the breadth of the fledgeling composer’s ambitions. The EP’s title, Saana Sahel, refers to a land of Colloboh’s pure imagining—an untouched utopia spanning lush coastlines and sweeping deserts. Beginning with the stately “Acid Sunrise” (like a Phillip Glass rave comedown), the EP functions as an atlas of sorts, mapping the region’s varied environments and moods. And varied indeed—across these six tracks there lie ecstatic jazz freakouts, samba shuffles, guest vocals from (seemingly) the very Seraphim, and interpolations of Debussy and Gabriel Faure. The breadth of sounds conjured here is a testament not only to Colloboh’s eclectic roster of influences, but also the period of deep and challenging personal growth that immediately preceded the EP’s composition. The construction of Saana Sahel (both the imagined locale and the release) served as a spiritual lode star, a place to which Colloboh could retreat for energetic restoration. Ever-generous, Colloboh has charted these expeditions for us in song, and now we may all draw sustenance and inspiration from the wellsprings of this rich land.

After the recently released cooperation album "Nathan Johnston & The Angels Of Libra", the Angels are now releasing their first own work. Warm analogue sounds and a lot of groove. Guest musicians include Milo Milone (Rhonda) and also Nathan Johnston on Revelations. The project came about in a Danish holiday home, where producer & guitarist Dennis Rux, keyboardist Chris Hartel, bassist David Nesselhauf and drummer Lucas Kochbeck spent two weeks together writing instrumental songs and recording them on a 1980s TASCAM 388 8-track tape recorder . A large number of songs were created, some of which the band released on an independent album with singer Nathan Johnston. Other songs, some with other guest musicians, are now finding their way onto this album. "Revelations" sounds so varied that it would simply not be enough to classify it as a soul album; soundtrack-like film noir passages can be found here as well as progressive space rock elements.

Mysterious Belgian experimental electronics duo Suumhow returns with their third album, Years Failed Successfully.


The album opens with the duo's signature melodicism and broken glitched-up beatwork. It then ebbs into more sinewy territory with swaths of pulsing static and overarching widescreen vivid ambiance. It's new ground for the duo that displays some rather aurally fitting symbolism to the state of the pandemic era, with ambient music on the edge of hysterical hope and arrested emotions.

room, in one take.
Lucy's crystalline vocals are highlighted by sparse accompaniment: the exquisite
melodies interwoven with intricate - yet delicate - guitar playing and subtle
electronic touches. Songs are introspective and dreamy, written over a span of
eight years during which Lucy experienced motherhood, breakups and all that
comes with such heart and life changing events. "I think these themes and ideas
are universal," she says. "They would resonate for other people too." Lucy
continues, "I find it hard to articulate my thoughts in sentences - it's much easier
to muse through them in songs. It's how I work through my feelings. There's a lot

Multi-Award winning, hugely influential musician Feist returns with Multitudes, her sixth solo album and first since 2017’s Pleasure.

Multitudes was produced by Feist with longtime collaborators Robbie Lackritz (The Weather Station, Bahamas, Robbie Robertson) and Mocky (Jamie Lidell, Vulfpeck, Kelela). Blake Mills (Bob Dylan, Fiona Apple, Perfume Genius) and Joseph Lorge came in to mix, with Mills as a co-producer in the final stages.

Multitudes took shape soon after the birth of her daughter and sudden death of her father, a back-to-back convergence of life-altering events that left the Canadian singer/songwriter with “Nothing performative in me anymore.” As she cleansed her songwriting of any tendency to obscure unwanted truths, Feist slowly made her way toward a batch of songs rooted in a raw and potent realism which is touched with otherworldly beauty.

Largely written and workshopped during an intensely communal experimental show of the same name through 2021 and 2022, the songs on Multitudes developed in parallel with and were deeply influenced by the mutuality of the unconventional experience. The production, developed by Feist with legendary designer Rob Sinclair (David Byrne’s American Utopia, Peter Gabriel, Tame Impala) was formulated to bring people together as they re-emerged from lockdown while providing an outlet for connection between artist, art, and community.
