The batteries are charged again! After an adequate summer break the Fortunea Records crew continues its mission to bring out extraordinary compositions with a brand-new EP by Moff & Tarkin.

The Icelander is currently living in Vienna and presents on this record his multi-variant taste in music. Poems of Soy starts with the cinematic opener ‚Sting’. Playful arpeggio synths dive headfirst into an hypnotic shuffle beat which is companied with siren-seeming vocals from the distance. The follow up ‚Love or Something‘ takes that groove and expands it with more pressure and a snappy baseline.

The B-side starts with an acid injected rave bomb called ‚Dating on LinkedIn‘. A track of sublime quality featuring 909 driven beats merged with acid bass lines. And with ‚Great Tan‘ M&T takes us back to the glory days of the big beat movement.

Almost annually Peletronic releases a record on Fortunea. And this time he gives us a summer anthem that will transform festival and club goers into a frenzy!

‚Sanguine‘ is the title-track of this EP. And thats exactly the message he wants to get across.

A different but also powerful approach can be heard on the B-side. ‚Reflections‘ steeps into 909 infused techno and house patterns. More raw and analogue then he was ever before. A piece that has the capability to be the next serious dancefloor-weapon on abandoned
warehouse parties.

Starting off with ‚Parallel Universe‘. A sub-bass heavy breaks-tune that dives into a pool of reversed strings, eerie pads and melancholic singing. The journey continues then to the planet ‚Saturn Nate‘. Its surface is a lo-fi funk groove, which carries over smoothly to ‚Spark Light Year‘.

With a little bit more pressure the B-side hits you in the face with ‚Like Glass But Candy‘. A very effective techno-house hybrid that will bring joy on everyones dancefloor. And for the final Nick will tell you ‚A Berry Tale‘ with his monosynthesizers.

Linz, a city that is not only heavily thriving from their huge steel industry. It was also a very important hotspot for electronic and alternative music back in the 90s.

While the big raves and cult venues disappeared during the last 2 decades, its impact is still noticeable when you take a look on the next generation of musicians.

Markus Quittner is one of these individuals. On the ‚Cloudy Flow‘ EP he shows us a comprehensive spectrum of his sound. Ranging from experimental dark broken beats to deep house and emotional
soulful harmonies.

On remix duty, Fortunea's very own Peletronic delivers some gloomy closure with his take on ‚Gamechanger‘. An eerie lo-fi acid monster that you can’t escape on the dancefloor.

Jon Gravy - another important figure of the Viennese house music scene - returns to Fortunea Records this spring! 3 years after his stunning compilation opener ‚Soul Groove’ many fortunate events happened in his career.

After several releases on Rough Recordings, The Basement Discos, Pets Recordings and his own imprint Gravy Trax he managed to finish his debut album ‚X To Love’ in 2020. And shortly after this release he also had the honor to remix soul-singer Lou Asril for his recent single. Now Jon comes back with another worth hearing versatile record, called ‚Restless Soul‘.

The journey starts with ‚G Energy‘. This track tosses the listener up to the sky with its stomping house beats and hypnotic vocal groove in the background. The other 2 pieces that come right after go in different directions. While the title track is a homage to the elektro pioneers from Detroit, ‚The Reason For‘ revels in melancholy with eerie pads, full throttle drum patterns and a piano.

On the flip Jon brings us sunny vibes with the track ‚Can’t Believe‘. And the name is really on point, because we couldn’t believe at first how awesome this baseline is! Beautiful strings and a clever arrangement makes this B-side outstanding.

And last but not least, Jon’s track ‚Over Now‘ - which will come out soon in the near future - has been handled by UK based dj and producer Red Rack’em. The friendly scotsman, who lived many years in Berlin and now resides in Bristol, did something very special while working on that remix. He used elements from 3 Jon Gravy tracks and modified them to use it on this production. A „Threemix" so to say. A very interesting deep house experiment that you should definitely check out!

fortunea starts their 2021 release schedule with a new 4 tracker this february. Peletronic is featured on this record and he shows again his love for detail.

‚About The Void‘ is a composition with an arc of suspense. The eerie pads and strings are in control by an imposing hypnotic groove that will guide the listener to the dancefloor.

As a guest remixer they hired none other than Stuttgart’s deep house expert Soulphiction. His take on the title track is placed on A2 and uses the elements of the original in a clever way. The groove is even more thrilling. And a female vocalist gives the track a femme fatale like character.

Peletronic delivers us his lo-fi house ‚Experience‘ on the B-side. Of course with a typical 909 kick drum, shuffled hihats and a purposely raw filtered jazz sample in loop. Intringuingly and playful likewise.

At last the record ends with the track ‚Paixão‘, which means „passion“ in portuquese. And you can clearly hear his passion for experimental latin influenced dub house in here.

Who else would have thought before the year 2020, that this new decade starts with a devastating natural incident that pushes the entire world in a health crisis and recession? Well, we sure
didn’t. And still, after 11 months, this damn virus doesn’t seem to go away. But no matter how bad this pandemic is. There is no need to stop being creative!

Many people used their time during the lockdowns as much as possible to make new music. And Jakobin is one of these guys who took his time this spring to work on brand new material, that is slowly
but surely coming out the next months on various labels. One of them is his Locked EP on our imprint - fortunea.

The title track on the A-side is an amazing piece of house music. A great homage on the raw punching Chicago sound and the late 80s/early 90s UK rave era. Heavy Breakbeat-loops blend in
perfect together with the use of 909 kicks, low-frequenced acid lines and a stabbing piano.

Turning over to the B-side there is the track ‚Pad Work’. A deep dub house tune with a nuance of Lo-fi-nism in it. Mysterious voices that are coming forward from the background of this bouncing
beat, a restrained but also smooth bassline and hypnotic string- and synthesizer-passages are the main characters in this tableau. While ‚Dreadbox’ is sealing the deal on this release with an
abstract melancholic sci- fi elektro approach.

Overall a conspicuous release, that lets you forget the chaos that is happening right now in this world.

3 years have past since the release of the fortunea Cookies Vol. 2 ep. Now, the Viennese label is resurrecting their various artists collection with a third entry.

The A-side begins with a smooth deep house piece by LeSale. Dreamy strings and sparkling pads chime together with a thriving funky bassline. A beautiful opener for estival sunset moments.

Peletronic and Klaus Benedek team up together on A2 with some ‚Analogue Kinda Funk‘. Finished during the lockdown while sending the project back and forth over the web, this track gives you an eerie and compelling feeling of the Zeitgeist we are living in right now. Dark reverberant percs, a crunchy guitar and a stunning drum beat will turn your flat into a club for sure.

The B-side features a new member on the fortunea roster. Dzc. is a young and talented dj and producer and this is her first production that is coming out. It’s called ‚The Truth‘ and is a well made peaktime track and a homage of early to late 90s house, techno and trance music.

Lukas Poellauer finishes this record. But not alone! He brought Schreder with him and together they make a ‚Midnight Ride‘ through a melancholic, acid-fulfilled desert.

Lukas Poellauer comes back on fortunea with an ambitious 5 track ep. Mixing up house music with the use of traditional instruments and vocals by Spitting Ibex singer Aunty on some of the tracks.

It starts off with ‚Going Down’. An impressive introduction with reminiscences to early garage house records. ‚Falling Back’ folllows up on A2. A tight bass is companied with piano-cues, glittery strings and a mysterious saxy breakdown, that gives the listener a sort of a cosmic film-noire vibe.

The melancholy continues with the next piece. ‚Departure’, the title-track of this record is placed on the B-side. A trumpet and a vibraphone are the main elements in this laid back, jazzy deep house tune. It certainly has the blues in it.

While Aunty was only present on the first track for a couple of lines, her voice is placed now more on the foreground with her party song ‚It’s All Good’ on B2.

The record closes with a danceable rework of ‚Departure’. Tieffrequent label head Siggatunez is responsible for this version.

The Austrian electronic music label fortunea starts off the new decade
with a bang! This time they come up with a new EP by label fellow
Peletronic.

It’s called ‚Secret Escape‘ and begins with the raw and energetic title
track, that is driven by MPC-style melody chops and a grooving bassline. Definitely a lot of peak time potential here. The original track is accompanied by a remix of charismatic Australian dj- and producer Jad & The, who transforms it into an euphoric deep house weapon with funky breaks and analogue infused acid sequences.
The first track of the B-side is setting up a darker mood. It’s called „My
House Is Your House“ and comes up with spaced out elements that
complement each other into a late night/early morning club atmosphere.

Voice- and effect artefacts sprinkle through the listeners head, while kick and bassline are holding everything together. Jon Gravy makes the remix dutys on B2 and delivers a stomping alternative to the original. A funky reverberant guitar, a staccato male vocal and high pitched piano stabs gives you back these feellings of mid 1990s chicago house memories.

All in all a must have house record for this upcoming festival season.

One of the key figures in the Austrian house scene is definitely Roman Rauch. The MPC wizard has released quality tracks on cult labels like Philpot, klamauk, Quintessentials, Dirt Crew and Faces Records during this decade.

After 3 remixes and a collaboration with Precious K as Twinpeaks, he will return this autumn on the Viennese based imprint fortunea with a 5 track ep, called Blackout.

The A-side features the title track and a remix by New York’s Let’s Play House chief Jacques Renault. Roman delivers here his typical signature sound of crackling, dustfilled funk and r&b samples in combination with weighty rhythm sections. Jacques’ take is from it’s mood similar. But what stands out here is the addition of congas and a heavy compressed and funky bassline, that puts the dancefloor into a tribal gathering.

The B-side starts in a low-key deep house direction with „Oh Yeah“. A smooth warm bass chimes together with psychedelic rhodes and twirling low-cutted synth progressions. In contrary to this, Janefondas member Precious K takes these elements and transforms them into 2 different versions. The „More Dips Remix“ is a garage influenced party grenade, while the digital exclusive „Rawmix“ turns this tune into an exuberant, dirty warehouse experiment.

This summer fortunea head Klaus Benedek returns with a 2 track single!

The A-side features the title track „At The Shore“ and is not only a fitting piece for sunset and afterhour sessions. It brings back nostalgic memories of a simpler, laid-back and peaceful time on the beach. A smoove guitar is the key element in this track. It builds up to a break that dives into the waves of the ocean. Almost siren sounding vocal cut ups splash threw this journey and a beautiful haunting pad is giving it the icing on the cake.

The B-side -- although in a similar vibe as the title track -- has a more somber feeling to it. „South Bronx Depression“ reflects the mood of the troubled New York neighbourhood during the 70s and 80s. A pompous jazz fanfare has been sampled, filtered, chopped and transformed as the track’s hookline. Eerie synthesizer stings make their entrance, while the narrator tells his story.

The Austrian electronic music label fortunea records is back with a new 12“. Viennese label-member "Peletronic" is the key figure on this record.

His intention was to limit himself in the use of external samples, without loosing on his own signature style. He tried to achieve this by recording all essential parts by himself and by flipping those snippets later on in a sample-jam manner.

The opening track "Blyss" is an infectious deep house groover.
Shredded filtered vocals, a bouncing bassline and a sun rising pad are the main characters of this piece.

Salzburg’s globetrotter Demuja is also present on this release by contributing a remix. He did a classic NY style house music treatment of the title track. It peaks with stunning strings and stabs and has a lot of potential for being heard during this years open air season.

The B-side of Peletronic's EP also features the original track "Wrapped In Silk". A gently calm down tune for afterhours. The slow tempo supports the vibe of silky pads and dreamy vocals.

And to wrap it all up, this track has been remixed by a second well-known Austrian artist. LeSale brings the mood of the original perfectly over to the dancefloor and adds some acid flavor to it.

Overall a great selection of music for this summer, made up by all Austrian artists. Check it out!

Nick Hanzo came in contact with turntableism 14 year ago, during a study semester in Madrid. Back in Vienna he had to get his own vinyl decks and started to practise, play and organize monthly soirees called do.phunk. Over the years Hanzo became an integral part of the Viennese electronic music scene, founding club nights like Schmusesalon or the audio visual collective Wiener Endorphine. He organised partys across the whole city, in venues like Grelle Forelle, Pratersauna, Sass or Celeste and showed his dj skillz on even more occasions. Besides numerous actions, he recently established the label Belly Dance Services with his buddy Yaman and they released the EP "Sirisins" as "Hanzo & Yaman". After Nick's summer debut on the fortunea 10 compilation with the track - Veni Vide , he returns with his first solo ep called - Last Day, Miracle! because where there is great love, there will always be miracles.

The Austrian electronic music label fortunea is operating since over 4 years. 9 records have been released so far. For the 10th issue they laced a very special vinyl package! 8 tracks by Viennese and Upper Austrian local heroes have been placed on 2 vinyl.

The A-side begins with an uplifting opener by Step Back Trax honcho Jon Gravy, followed by a deep, raw house stomper by Peletronic.

Klaus Benedek calls out - The Power of Sweat on B1, while celeste resident dj HANZO, the new member of the bunch, shows his love for experimental lo fi sounds in - Veni Vide .

Alex Kolodziej comes back with a saxophonist to curb vulgar utterances, while Roman Rauch and Precious K team up again after more than 5 years as their Twinpeaks moniker.

From the suburbs of Linz comes Johann Destroy. In - Wax Mining he collaborated with Vöcklabruck's house boy Lukas Poellauer (here as LP.) on a peaktime crossover tune.

Last but not least Lee Stevens from Luv Shack Records finishes this compilation with a sunny, chill out vibed for the - Magharibi (sunset, translated in swahili).

Alex Kolodziej was born in Poland and raised in Cologne, Germany. Since he moved to Vienna in 2008 for a degree course in psychology, he immediately checked out the austrian capitols nightlife and got involved with several people from the scene. During the 2010s he was one of the most booked djs for techno and house events in the city, and was also a staple of the cult venue Ochsenfrosch. Although he produces electronic music since 14 years, only a few tracks came out officially via various digital labels. Partygoers heard the majority of his unreleased work only at his rare live performances. After a long hiatus and several harddisk crashes, it is a pleasure for us to announce that he finally makes his comeback on forTunea with his first vinyl release!

Tech House is a genre that has been spoilt over the last 10 years. While most of them follow the cookie-cutter-aproach, Alex' - Workaholic dives in psychedelic sounding rhythm collages, that captures the hectic daily routine in modern society. - Slacker Attitude might be a slow-paced tune, but it's extraordinary drum patting and trippy atmosphere lets you forget that it's only 112 bpm fast. Last but not least, Peletronic contributes a late night dub treatment of the latter. Coming soon in a record store near you!

The Viennese label forTunea finishes 2017 with another rendition of their forTunea Cookies recipe. The ingridients on the A-side were added by Klaus Benedek and the newest member of the forTunea bunch, Lukas Poellauer. - Splattered is another typical melancholic KB trip. A chopped hookline, heavy reverbed synths and a vocoder are the signature features in this track. Lukas delivers us on the other hand his interpretation of - Underground house music with Chicago and UK influences. The B-side gets a little spicier. Jakobin & Peletronic serve with - Morning Glory some funky seeds on the plate. Last but not least the Schampus Ghost teams up with Anemona to the baking session. forTunea presents its new member Peter Czak with his first ever vinyl release! Before The Rise is a deep and mysterious piece with a stomping broken beat and almost eerie sounding synthlines. Heavily experimental and detroitesque. The remixes have something to offer for everyone. Peletronic's aproach is a darker dub that can be played in techno clubs aswell as on deep house partys. The opposite of that is KB's Rising Sun remix. He rearranged the track that much, so you would almost believe it is a new composition. My Beat closes the ep with a heavy drum machine rhythm and synth-fanfares. All in all an interesting release for this summer. Do not miss this one!

Klaus Benedek comes back with his new EP on forTunea. And yet again, he shows his diversity. "Consequences", the title track on the b-side, is an energetic tech house track and fits perfect for every peak time set. While "Hibernation" and "The Rays of your Arms pierce the Mist" experiment with their almost siren-sounding vocals and its dark and cosy atmosphere. But the main show stealer on this record is the emotional "The One" on the a-side. The iconic melody of this track leads to an impressive climax, that will make its audience on a really good soundsystem speechless. JAKOBIN & PELETRONIC will release this may their new EP called "Girlo"! The title track from this sympathetic Vienna based duo is a fluffy laid back tune, that will fit perfectly for this year's open air season. While the second track on the A-side features a more harder and faster version by Klaus Benedek. On the other hand "The Ghetto Code" focuses more on a darker note with its use of minimalistic drumpatterns, deep heavyweight synths and a thought-provoking speech. Last but not least on B2, MPC wizard Roman Rauch did a remix of that track aswell. In total a good diversified record that has useful material for everyone!

Klaus Benedek delivers us this time with - Calm Before The Storm an extraordinary piece of music. This over 9 minute journey bundles the sound of current deep house with a breakbeat rhythm. This track takes its time and builds up to a smooth string chorus that will certainly give you goosebumps. The B-Side on the other hand stays more traditionally in the house sector. First we engaged the service of Vienna's MPC wizard Roman Rauch (Philpot, Quintessentials, Tenderpark) to give KB's track - Still Daydreaming a harder edge, while the EP's title track on B2 bounces with it's hypnotic filtered hookline the listener into new heights.
