Daniel Romano returns with his first new music since the release of the massive, singular, La Luna in those long ago days of autumn 2022 (an impossibly long time in this famously prolific artist's career) - Too Hot To Sleep is simultaneously a transcendent document of the spirit, and a swaggering, street level blast of power-pop and Stone's derived rock 'n' roll; a surprisingly direct shout down of the corrupt politicians and techno fascists that police our bodies, pollute our world, assault our connections; a reason and occasion to dance, to sweat together at one of The Outfit's legendary live shows wherein everything comes faster than the next, no breaks, no outside, there is only now, there is only all of us here together, alive

Warmongers run the newspapers, the daily podcasts, the social media feeds. Capital creates and harvests our despair. Cultural heroes are as money-mad as bankers, standing on corpses, wearing diamonds. The songs of this age are hopeless. In this world of lies, Spider Bite celebrate truth: raw, ragged, and full of brave energy, bravely dreaming of possible futures in the immediate and active now, in this exact and ever active present: after the flood, in the ruins of love.

Spider Bite is the sound of Daniel Romano (The Outfit, Ancient Shapes, Attack In Black), Ian Romano (Daniel Romano’s Outfit, Career Suicide) and Steven Lambke (Constantines) returning to their roots in the thriving pit of DIY punk with a perspective, skill, and energy that can only be gained from long experience in music, art, and stubborn cultural creation. Spider Bite began in the depths of the first COVID-19 lockdown, a world poised between protests and rebellions, when a fearful silence held its breath, twitching the curtains, and strange imaginations ran unleashed through dark streets. Long-time collaborators Daniel Romano and Steven Lambke, who together established the artist run record label You’ve Changed Records in 2009, and monster drummer Ian Romano chose this moment to indulge their shared love of energetic street punk, releasing the self-titled debut as a Bandcamp-only release in May 2020. The album was enthusiastically embraced and even cracked the best of lists on some of the more adventurous independent music blogs.

But still. Time passes. More wars. More storms. More ruin caused by greed. Spider Bite reconvened in the spring of 2022, recording The Rainbow and The Dove, an album that assembles the wisdom teachings of punk elders into a passionate rejection of settler-colonialism, environmental racism, and the general exploitation of the world by monarchs and resource extraction companies. Every moment is historical. Spider Bite celebrate a continuity of protest and refusal, and the communal joy of loud energy. Animated by a surprising humor and immense instrumental power, Spider Bite create a vibrant portrait of living in violent times.

Daniel Romano sets his visionary poetry to exuberant tune - It is epic,
immaculately and extravagantly arranged, and truly cinematic (a full length film of
La Luna starring fellow You've Changed Records recording artist Julie Doiron in
the lead role will debut in the fall of 2022.)
La Luna is a hymnal or scroll for modern seekers, brought to life by the
impeccably skilled Outfit, with swagger and joy, including star turns on lead
vocals by Julianna Riolino, and newest member Carson McHone (Merge Records)
in addition to Daniel's own powerful vocals. Transcendently melodic, undeniably
classic and shockingly contemporary, La Luna synthesizes teachings from the
sacred texts of rock and roll and psychedelic-folk (Beatles, Fairport Convention,
even the Stones, Queen….) into a new testament for a new time.
La Luna arrives in a beautiful double- tip- on gatefold jacket, featuring original
artwork by Daniel Romano and the full verse and measure of the lyrics.

Status/Non-Status have spent untold hours gazing out the passenger
side windows of a succession of band vans, watching the country go by
That feeling of observing from a moving object, being somehow both in a place
and outside of it, looking in, is what the band captures on Surely Travel. The
album is a travelogue; a series of snapshots, rooted in history and landscape but
relentlessly looking forward, through the windshield, straining to see what might
be waiting just around the next bend in the road.
Surely Travel trades the band's long-established sludgy, heavy sound (as heard on
2019's Polaris Prize nominated album Warrior Down, released under the band's
previous name Whoop- Szo) for a bold musical clarity and powerfully narrative
lyrics, intense truth seeking, and a heart on the sleeve expression.
Status/Non-Status follow up the 1,2,3,4,500 Years EP and Ombiigizi, band-leader
Adam Sturgeon's collaboration with Zoon, with the anthemic and powerful Surely
Travel.

Lambke creates a DIY and artist- first free space on the margins of an industry driven by sales and a particular kind of recognition, careful about how he embodies his practice of art-making, and the work his music is doing in the world. On Volcano Volcano he is joined by long-time collaborators Daniel Romano and David Nardi (also of Daniel Romano's Outift), and emerging superstar songwriter Carson McHone (Merge Records) for a joy-filled album rich in poetry and guitars,
community and friendship, and dreaming together a new world 're-ordered from below'.

Cobra Poems is a set of 10 new originals by Daniel Romano and the group
of exceedingly well-dressed talents known as the Outfit.
Here, they display an ever-increasing swagger and a rare ability to synthesize
a shocking amount of rock history into something new, relevant, immediate,
and yes, poetic. “If all the words of joy should shed their syllabic countenance,
would they not still resonate at this same frequency?
If distillate love made aural and amplified struck every unbidden ear, would
it not blossom with this same audible bouquet? Here then is the document ‘
the evidence, the proof, the truth, the real thing, the one thing, the only thing.

Cobra Poems was recorded in Camera Varda, the Outfit’s newly built studio on
the banks of the Welland Canal. It will be supported by live dates in Germany, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the United Kingdom, the United
States, and Canada in 2022.

Recorded live in Atlanta in early 2020 in the final hours before the stages
of the aching world fell dark, Fully Plugged In celebrates the sweat filled
nights, the communal noise, the profound physical presence at the
heart of rock and roll.
Daniel Romano and The Outfit embody the classic swagger of classic Rolling
Stones, the epic, electric, eternal folk of prime Fairport Convention, the primal
freedoms released by the original punks, the intimate, personal emotions celebrated by classic country, boldly reinventing Romano’s rich songbook.
Julianna Riolino, who’s voice blends so perfectly with Romano’s own, steps
powerfully into the spotlight at key moments, ripping open the song in ‘Rhythmic Blood’ and ripping open your heart in the country weeper ‘The One That
Got Away (Came Back Today)’.
Hear, here - wild sounds, genius song-writing, ebullient drumming, exuberant musicality, and disparate influences are powerfully, uniquely synthesized.

Never Give Up is Partner’s second full-length album, following 2017’s In Search of Lost Time.
In the years since their first release, the band has developed their “post classic rock” sound, trading their 90s rock influences, for deep power grooves, bona fide guitar heroics, and big-hearted vocals from singers Jos e Caron and Lucy Niles.
