Manuel Parravicini, born in Germany and raised in Italy, continues to make waves in the electronic music scene. Manuel Tur presents two previously unreleased remixes of Estonian-Swiss singer, pianist and composer Ingrid Lukas and her song "DIGNITY", taken from last year's album "ELUMELOODIA". It is the second remix collaboration between Ingrid and Manuel since "We Are", which was released in 2016 as part of Innervisions' "Secret Weapons" series.

Spray Orchestra's “Transilvania” is the instrumental version of Patrizia Pellegrino's “Il Mondo Da Una Nuovola” and Max Manuel's “Energy”, an abstracted instrumental version of Patrizia Pellegrino's “Automaticamore”, both highly coveted in digger circles and originally released as 7”. Melting the percussive drive of his machines with the spirit of Southern Spain, the four tracks on offer are a journey into a sound and style that is inspiringly original. Ruffled hi-hats and smooth basslines are the foundation for the title piece. The soul of the Sierra Nevada and the warmth of Granada pour forth through Rodriguez’s unparalleled performance. The claps of Chicago are reimagined as an interplay of melody and rhythm awakens; the traditions of Flamenco married with a modern groove. vier Bücher und engagiert sich als Kolumnist der „Freien Presse“ für einen friedvollen gesellschaftlichen Zusammenhalt. Das Raue und das Weiche,
das Improvisierte und das Klare – schon mehrfach kam es zur Symbiose der sehr unterschiedlichen Stimmen von Dirk Zöllner und Manuel Schmid. In
Zeiten von Corona veröffentlichten die beiden ein Wohnzimmerkonzert mit besagtem Liedgut. 2024 wurde die Symbiose nun live erlebbar und als
Mitschnittfestgehalten.

Manuel Di Martino carves fresh scars into the floor with Cicatrici EP on Parallel 41 – tense, driving techno and wired electro dreaming of Detroit and forged between Naples grit and Berlin basements. Futuristic, emotional and built for sweatbox systems, this one goes deep and hits hard.

"Released in 1994, “Dellamorte Dellamore” (known internationally as Cemetery Man) is one of the most fascinating and unconventional films of 1990s Italian cinema. Directed by Michele Soavi and based on the novel by Tiziano Sclavi (the creator of Dylan Dog), the film blends horror, dark comedy, and surreal poetry into a story suspended between life and death, love and madness.
The protagonist is Rupert Everett, as Francesco Dellamorte, the caretaker of a cemetery where the dead return to life. Beside him, a mysterious woman (played by Anna Falchi) embodies the obsessive nature of love and the cyclical pattern of desire and loss. Soavi crafts a visionary, melancholic, and ironic film in which death becomes a metaphor for existence itself.
Giving voice to this suspended universe is Manuel De Sica, who composed one of his most evocative and underrated scores. The soundtrack for Dellamorte Dellamore is an alluring blend of gothic romanticism, mystery, and lyrical melancholy, perfectly attuned to the film’s tone."

Following the recent vinyl reissue of Manuel Tur's cinematic downtempo album "Intertextural", originally self-released during the Covid 19 pandemic, comes this package of fresh remixes featuring interpretations of four standout tracks from the record by DJ Counselling, All Is Well and Yuu Udagawa.

London-based DJ Counselling opens the EP with his energetic version of "Omina", raising tempo and hands with an expertly executed arrangement, while the newly added filtered synth chords echo some of Tur's best-known releases of the late noughties. Next up is Montreal's Frédéric Blais aka All Is Well, who after his recent LP success on Drumpoet and another brand-new album under his main moniker Fred Everything just released, turns "Flakon" into a head-nodding groove masterpiece that recalls the subtle 90s trip-hop flavor of the original version. On the B-side, Tokyo native Yuu Udagawa, who has collaborated with Tur on several occasions, unleashes two beautiful and ethereal remixes of "Slow White" and "Shadowgraph" that let us float through her signature sparkling sound.

Alex Kassian's extended rendition of E2–E4 promises a 12-minute electronic odyssey, tailor-made for diverse dancefloors from it’s spiritual home Ibiza and beyond. On the flip side, Mad Professor embarks on a club-oriented version excursion, a rare gem in its own right. This reimagining breathes new life into the classic, offering fresh perspectives for music aficionados everywhere. Hot tip for release of the Summer!

A bit more than half a decade on from his widely acclaimed debut Vanishing Points from 2018, Swiss guitarist, composer, and improv musician Manuel Troller releases his new record Halcyon Future. A rhythmically dense and ambiguous, yet joyful ride for unstable times, a plea for warmth and hopeful resistance.

Troller’s mode of incorporating, zooming in, and expanding on small elements from improvised sessions creates a multilayered work of driving rhythms and abstract, vibrating textures. Opening with Halcyon Future I’s distinctive open pulse, this first piece guides us through subtle harmonic shifts that are almost unrecognizable as they take place over extended time, overlapping and creating a sense of ambiguity until the piece reaches an almost optimistic level with Mario Hänni’s unexpected introduction of driving acoustic drums. Relentlessly and with increasing excitement, heavy electronic 80s bass drums and an armada of layered hi-hats push them on, leading to the all-incorporating melodic finale.

The two long pieces Halcyon Future I and Halcyon Future II focus on forward momentum. In between them stands DNA, a purposely directionless contemplation on emotion as such. It is raw, naked, and confrontational, with a tender and subtly changing chord progression creating intimacy and proximity, abstraction and warmth, like a beautifully vibrant hologram for the listener to walk around in.

The B-side with its 20-minute Halcyon Future II features playful futuristic guitars, enhancing and challenging the stereo image that Troller is already well-known for. As it’s given time to develop and take root, the ever-varying guitar interactions densify and the staccato patterns jump out of the speakers with joy, creating excitement and building momentum. Compared to Side A, things turn to a slightly more complex rhythmical, melodic, and harmonic feel here. There are easy references, such as Manuel Göttsching’s E2-E4 or Pat Metheny performing Steve Reich’s Electric Counterpoint, but Troller goes a different and very much more concrete way. Although the piece has been recorded in various places and through a long process of overdubbing, there is an astonishingly strong live feel to it, from beginning to the end, from the slow rise to the full spectrum and the almost krautrock-like finale. Improvisers Hans Koch on soprano saxophone and Michael Flury on heavily fuzzed trombone join in, while Troller and Mario Hänni on many guitars, bass, drum machines, and acoustic drums provide a joyous driving entity, not giving up until it all breaks down again. There is overkill and brute force, though never without depth and a vision of future.

In the musical scope of Halcyon Future, there is no need for an absolute definition of things. A continuously changing interpretation of repetitive and variable elements fading in and out of focus tells a story of an excited sense of acceptance. Feelings of transcendence stem from Troller’s layering of constantly shifting rhythmic structures with unforeseen improvised harmonic changes. Drum machine parts overlayed with acoustic drums shift between musical modes, anchoring the album on the verge of a jazz-influenced, motorik, post-ECM balearic plateau. Abstract textural elements gently swirl around and behind all that is rhythm, providing a submissive counterpoint. As with much of Troller’s work, Halcyon Future is an album that unfolds slowly, revealing more of its richness, detail, and subtle beauty at each listen.

On "Intertextural", Manuel Tur delves into more cinematic ambient and trip-hop realms, reminiscent of short interludes from 1990s classic electronica albums. 12 tracks of shifting beat structures, meandering loops and interlocking dubs, oscillating between sample-based and digital textures, form an atmospherically dense tapestry already familiar from Tur's productions for the dance floor.
Originally recorded in the midst of the Covid 19 pandemic and self-released as a digital-only album, "Intertextural" is now available for the first time in a physical format, specially remastered and cut to 180g vinyl.

With Manuel Tur's Es Cub LP just out and winning high praise from all corners of the electronic music press we present you DJ's and vinyl aficionados with the second part of the two separate 12's highlighting Manuel's brilliant third album. As RA put in their review - 'This is among the most seductive collection of house tracks so far this year.'

In 2012 Manuel spent a year living in Ibiza, the birthplace of his father and somewhere he has always felt a strong connection with despite never having lived there. This period became something of a sabbatical, a year of orientation both privately and musically and despite managing to visit not one single club in his
entire time there the esoteric and cabalistic nature of the island clearly became a big influence.
Here in Part 2 things get off to a suitably raw and bumpy ride with El Soplo where a depth and certain majestic beauty are created from the simple, stripped back, rolling beats and flowing pads. Flux takes things in a more minimal direction with echoing percussion hits and plucked synth line giving a sense of space, the driving, the single note bass reminding us of the more techno side of say Ame or Baikal. Flipping over we have Basilia which picks up the tempo and pushes a single reverberating vocal hit to the front of the mix before we are introduced to the glassy chiming arpeggiations that have become Manuel's signature sound for this LP. Finally, El Dub goes for a subaquatic vibe with a slow pace and dubby FX allowing us to get absorbed in the foggy haze Manuel creates with his thoughtfully conceived
minimalism and minute attention to detail. Expect to be hearing much more from Manuel in the coming months. He has become
in demand for his mixing skills, working regularly with Andre Hommen for Objektivity, Shit Robot for DFA and Marcus Worgull for Innervisions.

With the back catalogue burned to cinders and the last few dog eared copies at Freerange HQ looking more than a little shabby, here's your opportunity to grab some of the labels highlights on the blackstuff. Here on Part 4 we have the rather wonderful Isolée remix of Manuel Tur's Most Of This Moment, Switch in his finest hour with Get On Downz and Jimpster under his Audiomontage guise with the little known but highly revered track The Darkness.

The third vinyl release of the year from Blur Records sees three distinguished producers - ColorJaxx, T.Markakis and Manuel Kane - sharing duties, each delivering a track each but with the distinctive, music-centred 'deep house fusion' flavour of the Blur label very much at their heart. ColorJaxx's 'I Know You' kicks off proceedings in upbeat mood, goaded along by a skippy garage beat, some beautiful piano work and arresting male vocals. 1976 hatte Michael Hoenig eine kurze Zusammenarbeit mit Manuel Göttsching von Ash Ra Tempel in Berlin; eine 48-minütige Aufnahme einer der Sessions, die 1995 unter dem Titel "Early Water" auf Bernd Kistenmachers Label Musique Intemporelle veröffentlicht wurde. Das Album wurde gestrichen und war lange Zeit nicht erhältlich. Nun wird es endlich eine Wiederveröffentlichung von "Early Water" geben. Michael Hoenig erinnert sich noch: "Während ich an dem Album "Departure From The Northern Wasteland" arbeitete, hatte mich Manuel Göttsching gefragt, ob ich mit ihm für einige Konzerte in Frankreich zusammenarbeiten würde, da seine Gruppe gerade eine Winterpause eingelegt hatte. Wir probten drei oder vier Wochen bei mir zu Hause. Eines Abends bekamen wir einen Anruf wegen einer fehlenden Garantie, woraufhin wir beschlossen, die Tournee abzusagen. Nur zum Spaß spielten wir ein letztes Mal eines der geplanten Sets. Obwohl ich mich nicht daran erinnern kann, eine Aufnahmetaste gedrückt zu haben, hat jemand kürzlich ein Revox-Band mit eben diesem Set ausgegraben. Nach einer digitalen Klangarchäologie wurde es soeben unter dem sehr passenden Titel "Early Water" veröffentlicht." Und Manuel Göttsching fügt hinzu: "Leider wurden einige Konzerttermine nicht rechtzeitig bestätigt und wir mussten die komplette Tournee erst am Tag vor der Abreise nach Frankreich absagen. Dennoch haben wir an diesem Abend unsere letzte Probe "für alle Fälle" aufgenommen. Es ist ein fließendes, harmonisches Stück geworden, das viel von der optimistischen Stimmung des Jahres 1976 widerspiegelt. In den frühen 1980er Jahren zog Michael nach Los Angeles. Als wir uns im November 1994 wiedertrafen, schlug ich vor, dieses alte Stück von uns zu veröffentlichen. Michael nahm das Originalband mit nach Los Angeles, restaurierte es liebevoll und nun, hier ist es wieder!"

The karaoke connoisseur, Luigi impersonator and all round good guy, Manuel Darquart has stepped up before and he’s stepping up again, this time with The Del Sol EP. From Milano, Italy Manuel Parravicini is a young upcoming artist getting most of his
Inspirations from the Minimal electronic scenes and the likes of Ricardo Villalobos for his first ever release here with us at NG TRAX.

Manuel Parravicini was born in Germany but raised in Italy.
He started DJing and following electronic musical scene years ago.
First in local clubs, then as a resident in Amnesia Milano.
Later on he created his own events under the name “Jimmy&Grace” in different clubs around Milan, bringing many international underground djs.
He places his sound between house grooves and minimalistic techno. He is playing vinyl only dj set and releasing his first EP on NG TRAX soon this year.
