Low Cut Connie’s neues Album "ART DEALERS" folgt auf das von der Kritik hochgelobte Album „Private Lives“ aus dem Jahr 2020 und „Tough Cookies: Best of the Quarantine Broadcasts“ aus dem Jahr 2021, das aus ihren zweimal wöchentlich live gestreamten Rock- und Soul-Varieté-Shows hervorging, die den New Yorker dazu veranlassten, Weiner zur „Pandemic Person of the Year“ zu küren. Es ist die zweite Kooperation nach „Private Lives“ zwischen Low Cut Connie's eigenem Label „Contender Records“ und „Haldern Pop Recordings“ dem Label des Haldern Pop Festivals.

'Low Cut Connie's ART DEALERS' is the soundtrack to a unique hybrid-genre concert film starring the musician and rock n roll performance artist Low Cut Connie, depicting a stunning 3-show run in 2022 New York City. The concert is set against 5 years of documentary footage that explores the struggle, frustrations, and humor of living a working class "art life" in modern America.

Swampmeat is the project of Dan Finnemore, former co-frontman of cult US rock & roll act Low Cut Connie (as recommended by the likes of Rolling Stone, KEXP, and - yes - Barack Obama), not to mention his role as behind the drums of PNKSLM's own The Castillians, as well as being a former member of the notorious Black Mekon. A long-time homeown secret in his native Birmingham, Swampmeat is now ready to step out of the shadows - over ten years after the project took its first steps. "Gin & Tonic" is a collection of country-fied rock and roll, straddling the edge between country, punk and rock and roll, with great songs and melodies.

Punk Slime Recordings are proud to present the new full-length album from Birmingham, UK's Swampmeat Family Band. Their new album Muck! is a massive step forward both songwriting and production-wise, offering up a blend of uptempo garage rock and gentle americana. Featuring members of PNKSLM's own The Castillians and Terror Watts as well as Low Cut Connie, PWEI and Bentley Rhythm Ace.

The evolution of Swampmeat Family Band continues apace. When the Birmingham outfit released
their incendiary third album, Muck, three years ago, it marked the culmination of the kind of vision that
frontman Dan Finnemore had always had for them; having returned from the U.S. after a spell as a key
member of Philadelphia rockers Low Cut Connie, he was burning with ideas and inspiration,
channeling a renewed creative energy into a new-look version of the garage band he’d formed, as
simply Swampmeat, with drummer T-Bird Jones in 2006. Muck certainly felt like a family affair, one
that saw the group expand to a five-piece and broaden their musical palette, boldening their bolshier
side with brass, lending their forays into country some authenticity with the addition of pedal steel and,
by welcoming vocalist Joni Coyne into the fold, providing Finnemore with a new foil. The new
accoutrements came together to form the basis of Swampmeat 2.0, a slicker, sharper band anchored
by Finnemore’s handsome arrangements and melodic sensibilities. Polish Your Old Halo continues
Finnemore’s hot vein of songwriting form with Muck and capitalises upon that album’s creative
momentum, without being afraid to try new things and remove old ones; the brass and strings that
made it on to Muck have been left to one side, propelling Finnemore’s writing to the fore. The
freewheeling blues rock that came to define their last album is still alive and well. But there’s also
progression, something particularly evident in the album’s bookends; ‘Do It All’ brings the curtain up
with juddering, synth-led punk energy, while closer ‘Plant Your Feet Correctly’ is a swooning acoustic
cut, initially envisioned as having a string section but now presented in vulnerable, bare-bones fashion.

Erlebe den hypnotisierenden Soul und Blues von Robert Finleys neuestem Album Black Bayou. Mit seiner reichen und kraftvollen Stimme nimmt Finley die Zuhörer mit auf eine Reise durch die eindringlichen, mystischen Bayou-Landschaften von Louisiana und erzählt dabei sehr persönliche Geschichten. Vom langsam brennenden Funk von ”Livin’ Out A Suitcase” bis zum beschwingten und groovigen ”Sneakin’ Around” zeigt jeder Titel auf diesem Album Finleys außergewöhnlichen Ton und stimmliche Vielseitigkeit. Die Kombination aus Soul, Rhythm and Blues und fachmännisch ausgearbeiteten Gitarrenriffs, jede Note auf diesem Album ist ein Zeugnis von Finleys musikalischem Können und seinem unerschütterlichen Engagement für diese Genres.

Aufgenommen in den Easy Eye Sound Studios in Nashville und produziert von Dan Auerbach, der Finley als ”den größten lebenden Soulsänger” bezeichnet, ist Black Bayou der Nachfolger seiner von der Kritik hochgelobten Alben Sharecropper’s Son und Goin’ Platinum! Neben Auftritten bei America’s Got Talent (2019) und America’s Got Talent (All-Stars 2023) war Finley Headliner bei Shows in ganz Nordamerika und Europa und tourte unter anderem mit The Black Keys, Greta Van Fleet, Lake Street Dive, Nathaniel Rateliff, Dan Auerbach und Low Cut Connie.
