Zusammen mit Kamaal Williams brillierte der Multiinstrumentalist und Visionär auf dem Yussef Kamaal-Album 'Black Focus', das den Jazz FM Newcomer-Award 2016 gewann und zum Meilenstein der aktuellen Londoner Jazzbewegung avancierte. 'Black Classical Music' ist ein 19-Track-Werk, das die Zuhörer durch einen Spiegel auf die Vergangenheit und Gegenwart des einflussreichen Künstlers blicken lässt, während es Themen wie Zuhause und Familie erforscht. Inspiriert wird Yussef von seinen musikalischen Helden Miles Davis und Rahsaan Roland Kirk und seinen ausgedehnten Reisen rund um den Globus, die sein Studium des Rhythmus vertieft haben. Ehrenvolle Features auf 'Black Classical Music' bringen Chronixx, Jamilah Barry, Tom Misch, Shabaka Hutchings, Miles James, Sheila Maurice Grey, Nathaniel Cross, Theon Cross and the Chineke! Orchester, sowie Venna, Rocco Palladino, Charlie Stacey und Elijah Fox.

Artist Background:Chiminyo is a decorated drummer and producer at the center of the London scene, performing with heavyweights like Maisha and Cykada. A winner of theJazz FM Digital Awardand named ‘One to watch’ inThe Guardianin 2025, his work has been championed byGilles Peterson,BBC 1Xtra, andJazz FM. Chiminyo is a residency holder at Ronnie Scott’s, where he hosts the "Late Late Electronic" nights, and has collaborated with Mercury-nominated artists including Nubya Garcia and Shabaka Hutchings.

Drummer and Composer Nadav Schneerson, based in London has been making moves in the UK Jazz scene having already played with the likes of Charlie Stacey (Yussef Dayes), Steamdown, Dargz, Finn Rees (Allysha Joy), Don Glori and many more across the UK scene and beyond. Highly in demand as a drummer, he's been bubbling as a bandleader with his full 7 piece ensemble gracing many stages in and around London. Having met many of his musical collaborators through Tomorrows Warriors such as Sultan Stevenson, his ensemble line ups feature musicians who have played with many great artists such as Ebi Soda, Levitation Orchestra, Hak Baker, Moses Boyd and much more. Nadav's music is a unique blend of contemporary jazz with various influences from around the Middle East and all being informed by the bustling UK Jazz styles which surround him.

Nadav Schneerson's debut album, Sheva was recorded over two days at the Fish Factory Studio in London. All tracked live, the impressive 7 piece outfit shines through the dynamic range of tracks on the album. Featuring Drums, Double Bass, Grand Piano & Fender Rhodes, Trumpet & Flugelhorn, Tenor Sax, Trombone & Live FX and Oud, there are tracks that are more modal and freeform, allowing the soloists to really let loose. Whereas there are compoisitons more thoroughly arranged, with intricate parts intearweaving through each voice.
