Nach dem Debütalbum und der Tour im Jahr 2022 meldet sich Sam Snitchy mit der zweiten Veröffentlichung "talking talking" im Mai 2024 zurück. Seid bereit für Psychedelic Synth Electro Punk Anti-Dance. Sam Snitchy - der Mann mit den vielen Namen und Gesichtern. 25 Jahre Straßen-, Club- und Festivalshows als Maniporno aka Melker mit zwei Albumveröffentlichungen in 2016 und 2018 (Warmer Bros/Irascible). 2021 wurde innerhalb weniger Tage das Sam Snitchy Project ins Leben gerufen, um gemeinsam mit dem Musiker und Produzenten Marco Fuorigioco (Bass/Synths/Programming) und Tobi Highm (Schlagzeug) eine einzige Show zu spielen. Später nahm Fuorigioco das Debütalbum "get me wrong" auf und produzierte es, das 2022 auf Voodoo Rhythm Records veröffentlicht wurde. Sam Snitchy begann mit Maze Kalin am Bass, Tobi Highm am Schlagzeug und Fuorigioco an den Synthesizern in der Schweiz, Frankreich, Deutschland und Dänemark zu touren. Im Februar 2023 kamen der Berner Gutter-Poet und Fuorigioco wieder zusammen, um an ihrem zweiten Sam Snitchy Album zu arbeiten. Entstanden und aufgenommen wurde es während eines schweren Wirbelsturms in Siracusa auf Sizilien, der sich als perfekte Kulisse für einen synthetischen Punk-Protest erwies. Ein paar fiese ironische Gedanken über dröhnenden Beats und hypnotischen Fuzzy-Bässen, gekreuzt mit analogen Acid-Synthies und psychedelischen Orgelschleifen - es ist ein mantrisches Album, um den Dreck aus deiner verlorenen Seele zu heilen.

After the Dead Boys, Bators embarked on a musical journey that saw him touch upon power pop during a brief solo career. Although included in our past release "I Wanna Be a Dead Boy" (1992), as a limited edition 7" boxset, this is the first time the single gets an official reissue in its original format. This is an essential power pop classic! As the frontman for the Dead Boys, Stiv Bators terrorized audiences with his snotty, in-your-face punk rock style. But after the Dead Boys, Bators embarked on a musical journey that saw him touch upon power pop during a brief solo career. Stiv moved to Los Angeles and signed with Bomp! Records, Greg Shaw's label that released many seminal 70s West Coast punk and power pop groups such as the Nerves, the Weirdos, the Zeros and the Germs. The first Bators single to emerge from Bomp!, 'It's Cold Outside' (originally by Ohio legends The Choir), is a song that the Dead Boys reportedly could not figure out how to play. It was released in May 1979. The B side 'The Last Year' is a Stiv/Jeff Jones (alter ego of Frank Secich) song dedicated to the recently deceased bassist of the Sex Pistols Sid Vicious and would later appear on the LP "Disconnected" (1980).

All mixed and interspersed with audio archives by Jacques Bergier, Louis Pauwels or Eugène Canseliet and sounds from installations designed by visual artists (Veronique Belland, Alexis Chapelain). At once cutting-edge and accessible to the uninitiated, between fantasy and science fiction, esotericism and occultism, popular culture and contemporary art, avant-garde and pop music, this disc offers a poetic ode to the Strange, to curiosity, to the capacity for wonder and the desire for knowledge, with a view to re-enchanting reality. One of Scotland's most exciting innovators, Malin melds west coast tradition with a newly invented, self-made bagpipe. Hair tingling, philosophical and dance inducing melodies inspired by European folk traditions, humans, queerness and the universe. Having played in Canada, Europe and across the UK, Malin will release their long awaited debut album Halocline on the 3rd May 2024 with Hudson Records. Halocline began as a New Voices commission for Celtic Connections and was premiered to a sold out Strathclyde Suite, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall in 2023.

"I saw my first Halocline aged fourteen whilst swimming in an estuary in the Isle of Skye. I didn't know what it was at the time but the image has stayed with me ever since. Appearing like a hazy layer of cloud under the water; it floats between two worlds and provides an environment which is home to a unique microbial ecosystem. As a trans person I live in a space in between; this beautiful space between a binary with its own colourful and unique culture."

The Midnight Hour Live At Linear Labs was recorded on February 22nd, 2019. Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Muhammad performed The Midnight Hour in front of a live audience at Linear Labs studio in Los Angeles. This was a direct-to-analog tape recording that 200 very lucky fans were a part of. Recorded and mixed by Adrian Younge at Linear Labs, the preeminent analog studio of Los Angeles, CA.

Coming in hot off their latest Watergate Mix Adana Twins deliver their first EP stemming from the mix itself putting what could be the standout track off the compilation: their remix of Patrice Bäumel's 'Roar' front and center. Beth Gibbons veröffentlicht ihr erstes Soloalbum Lives Outgrown am Freitag, den 17. Mai 2024. Das Album enthält 10 wunderschöne neue Tracks, die über einen Zeitraum von 10 Jahren aufgenommen wurden. Produziert wurde das Album von James Ford & Beth Gibbons mit zusätzlicher Produktion von Lee Harris (Talk Talk).

Lives Outgrown ist in gewisser Weise Beths bisher persönlichstes Werk, das Ergebnis einer Periode anhaltender Reflexion und Veränderung - "viele Abschiede", wie Beth sagt. Abschiede von der Familie, von Freunden, sogar von ihrem früheren Ich. Es sind Lieder aus der Mitte des Lebens, wenn der Blick nach vorn nicht mehr so viel bringt wie früher und der Blick zurück plötzlich einen schärferen Fokus hat. Die Lieder handeln von Mutterschaft, Ängsten und den Wechseljahren (die Beth mal als "massive Prüfung" und mal als "massiven Abstieg" beschreibt, der "dich in die Knie zwingt") sowie zwangsläufig auch von der Sterblichkeit. Aber nach diesem Jahrze hnt des Wandels und der Neuausrichtung hat Beth das Gefühl, eine neue Bestimmung gefunden zu haben. "Jetzt, wo ich am anderen Ende angekommen bin, denke ich einfach, dass man mutig sein muss", sagt sie.

Fünf Jahre nach dem wahrscheinlich persönlichsten Album "Your Life Gets Crushed" gibt es neue Songs der Hardcore-Punks aus Coburg. Songs, die wieder politischer, wütender und angriffslustiger sind. Menschefresser meint hier emotionalen Kannibalismus, psychischer Druck, der ausgeübt wird, wie Menschen sich verhalten, Ellbogen auspacken, wenn sie nur versuchen, sich ihren eigenen Vorteil zu verschaffen. Oder Menschen, die denken, sie wären der Mittelpunkt der Welt. RAWSIDE werden nicht müde, den Finger in die Wunde zu legen und sich mit korrupten Wirtschaftsbossen, selbsternannten Verschwörungstheoretikern, rechten Politikern oder stumpfen Wutbürgern anzulegen. Die 13 neuen Songs von RAWSIDE sind eine volle Breitseite, musikalisch kommt es laut und fordernd zwischen Hardcore, Metal und Punk daher. Die Wucht der Songs hat seit dem letzten Album ein neues Level erreicht. Das liegt vielleicht auch an der Frischzellenkur in der Besetzung. Sänger/Shouter Henne ist das einzig verbliebene Gründungsmitglied nach mehr als 30 Jahren Bandgeschichte. Seit Sohn Justin am Schlagzeug ist gerade mal 23 Jahre alt. "RAWSIDE ist zum Glück keine One-Man-Show", sagt Henne. "Das waren wir nie und wollen wir auch nicht sein. 2024 hat die Band beim LOIKAEMIE-Label Fettfleck angeheuert. "Für uns war es ein Schritt in Richtung Selbstverantwortung", erklärt Henne. Bei Fettfleck sind wir in alle Prozesse eingebunden.
