The Tattooist of Auschwitz is a 2024 six-part TV miniseries based on the international bestselling novel by Heather Morris, inspired by the real-life story of Holocaust prisoners Lali and Gita Sokolov.

The story follows one man, Lali, a Slovakian Jew, who, in 1942, was deported to Auschwitz, the concentration camp where over a million Jews were murdered during the Holocaust. Shortly after
arrival, Lali was made one of the Tätowierer (tattooists), charged to ink identification numbers onto fellow prisoners’ arms. One day, he met Gita when tattooing her prisoner number on her arm, leading to a love that defies the horrors around them. The cast features Harvey Keitel, Melanie Lynskey, Jonah Hauer-King, and Anna Próchniak.

"Yellowstone is an American neo-Western drama television series. The series stars Kevin Costner, Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly and follows the conflicts along the shared borders of the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch, a large cattle ranch, the Broken Rock Indian reservation, Yellowstone National Park, and land developers.

The first part of the fifth and final season premiered on November 13, 2022, with the second part scheduled to premiere on November 10, 2024.

Composer Brian Tyler, who once worked and performed in a Native American musical group, said he worked hard to blend his knowledge of traditional Native American music with the melting pot of western cultures in his score.

“What I ended up doing was finding ways to incorporate some of the percussion, some of the woodwinds, some of the instrumentation and weave it into things like cellos, basses, cimbaloms and all these exotic instruments,” Tyler said.

"Heartfelt was released in 2002; the 7th studio album by the jazz quartet Fourplay. Influential DJ, producer, radio-presentator and founder of the Acid Jazz and Talkin’ Loud labels Gilles Peterson has handpicked his jazz favourites from the immense catalog of the Dutch jazz Timeless label. Included are Pharaoh Sanders’ cosmic jazz “Moonchild”, vocal-jazz from Carter Jefferson’s “Why”, danceable-jazz from Tom Grant “No Me Esqueca”, Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers’ “In Case You Missed It”, making a total of 11 tracks.

In 2015, Peterson put together a Japan-only CD compilation of 10 of his favourite tracks, but for the vinyl version, the track list has been augmentend with the previously unreleased version of “Gibraltar (Alternate Take)” by Kirk Lightsey Trio feat. Freddie Hubbard, and “World Peace” by Timeless All Stars.

Paul Carrack is known for his role in the bands Ace, Squeeze (replacing Jools Holland on piano), and Mike & The Mechanics (a side project by Mike Rutherford of Genesis). Next to this collaborations, Carrack has forged a successful solo career in the process. All the songs from his impressive career are now bundled under the Collected series.

Dubbed by the BBC as the "The Man with the Golden Voice" Carrack sang some of the most important songs from bands like Ace (“How Long”), Squeeze (“Tempted”), Mike + The Mechanics ("The Living Years" and "Over My Shoulder") . As a solo musician he recorded hits such as "Don't Shed a Tear", "When You Walk in the Room" and "Don't Dream It's Over". He has served as a session and/or touring musician for the likes of music greats like Elton John, Eric Clapton, B.B. King and The Smiths.

Thanks to the determination of founder Paolo Faenza, intent on continuing the reunion experience already shared since 2014 with his lifelong companions, in particular Maurizio Zarrillo and Giampiero Artegiani, the new work was recorded by a renewed lineup, made up of talented musicians coming from Rome’s progressive rock scene.

“La fine non esiste” (The End Does Not Exist) consists of 6 unreleased tracks, sung in Italian, characterized by a modern sound but still in continuity with the debut album. In fact, all the instruments that characterize Semiramis’ background are present, such as keyboards, moog, flute, acoustic and electric guitars, vibraphone, leading to wide-ranging compositions, supported by rich and lively arrangements, definitely “prog rock”.

In 1972 Garybaldi released the legendary “Nuda”, an album in which the typical sounds of progressive rock was mixed with Fossati’s typical ‘guitarism’, giving birth to a unique and very important work in the Italian prog scene.

1973 sees the release of “Astrolabio”, a very particular record made up of two long pieces, one for each side, with a lot of space left for improvisation. Another unique work that closes the first phase of the band’s history, who would continue their music activities in alternate phases up to the present day.

In 1962, Gordon relocated to Paris, where he became part of a vibrant jazz community

He was already a well-established figure in the jazz world due to his groundbreaking work in the 1940s and 1950s. His decision to live in Europe revitalized his career, allowing him to continue evolving as a musician away from the struggles in the USA: he enjoyed enormous respect in Europe, which allowed him to perform freely, often in clubs and on tours, without the burdens of American racism. Paris had long been a haven for jazz musicians: artists like Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk, and John Coltrane were celebrated in Europe, and the French jazz scene, in particular, became a hotspot for both American expatriates and European musicians. Dexter Gordon quickly became one of the leading figures in that scene. Our Man in Paris is a celebrated jazz album and it is widely regarded as one of Gordon's best works. Horace Silver's The Tokyo Blues is the result of his quintet's tour of Japan in 1961, which left a strong impression on him. Thelonious Monk and Sonny Rollins were both giants of jazz, each known for their individual approaches.
