Nach mehr als 40 Jahren ist die 1983 auf Sky Records erschienene EP "Ich suche dein Gesicht" von Silberstreif wieder erhältlich. Für den Sky-Katalog eher ungewöhnlich, spielte das Duo lupenreinen Synthie-Pop mit deutschsprachigen Texten. Diese EP ging in der Flut der hyperkommerziellen deutschen New-Wave-Veröffentlichungen der 1980er Jahre unter. Später wurde die Band zum Geheimtipp und die EP zu einem begehrten Sammlerstück. Die Wiederveröffentlichung wird von vier bisher unveröffentlichten Bonustracks begleitet.

Die vierköpfige Instrumentalband Yuuf signed bei Ninja Tune-Sublabel, Technicolour, und veröffentlicht ihre neue EP, „Alma's Cove“ am 20. Juni 2025!

„Alma's Cove“ umfasst fünf Tracks und ist eine meditative Klanglandschaft, die die Hörer:innen auf eine klangliche Reise durch die Natur mitnimmt, abseits des Alltagsstresses. „‚Alma's Cove‘ ist ein verträumter, tropischer Raum ohne Stress, in dem man sich zufrieden und präsent fühlen kann. Ein geschütztes Paradies, das man in aller Ruhe genießen kann.“, so die Band. „Als wir die EP schrieben, war das Hauptziel, einen Ort zu schaffen, der das komplette Gegenteil unseres Londoner Lebens ist und z.T. aus Stress, Angst und Überforderung besteht. Zusammen mit der Ankündigung veröffentlichen Yuuf den Titeltrack der EP, „Alma’s Cove“, der heute auf Technicolour erschienen ist. Reich an organischen Texturen, schimmernden Details und psychedelischen Rhythmen, lädt die Single Zuhörer:innen in die heitere Welt von „Alma's Cove“ ein. „Die Hörer:innen spazieren umher und nehmen die Natur, die Geräusche und die Aussicht in sich auf und schwelgen in ihrer natürlichen Schönheit.“. Zur Single gibt es auch ein offizielles Musikvideo, das eine komplette Live-Session zeigt, die während der jüngsten Reise der Band nach Kreta gefilmt wurde. Die Vermischung internationaler Klänge und globaler Einflüsse steht im Mittelpunkt des Ethos von Yuuf. Selbst die Mitglieder der Band kommen aus verschiedenen europäischen Ländern - aus der Schweiz, Dänemark, Frankreich und England. „Wir vermischen auf natürliche Weise unsere verschiedenen musikalischen Vorlieben aus der ganzen Welt, um den Sound unserer Musik zu formen.“, erklärt die Band. „Alma's Cove“ ist ein Paradebeispiel dafür, inspiriert von klassischer spanischer Gitarre, Americana-Soundscapes und der Musik der Filme von Studio Ghibli. Jess Kerber aus Nashville nahm im Alter von 12 Jahren erstmals eine Gitarre in die Hand, um mit ihren frühreifen Stimmungen und Zupfstilen zu experimentieren - beeinflusst von Gleichgesinnten wie Joni Mitchell und Susan Tedeschi. Limited edition white vinyl (800 copies) The self-styled ritualistic electro-mechanical ensemble OSMIUM is a veritable supergroup. Made up of Oscar-winning composer and instrumentalist Hildur Gudnadóttir, veteran engineer and producer James Ginzburg, Senyawa's idiosyncratic vocalist Rully Shabara and Grammy-winning sound designer / producer Sam Slater, while each member brings along a laundry list of accolades, the project is far greater than the sum of its parts. Alloying burnished electroacoustic soundscapes with dense, metallic drones, barbed rhythms and buckled, bio-mechanical vocalizations, OSMIUM's eagerly awaited debut album doesn't try to cast a rigid future. Rather, it tempers a viscous flow of unorthodox speculations that smolders through the distant past, blazing a trail all the way to the frontier of fate. Absorbed by questions about the relationship between humans and technology, tradition and progression, the individual and the group, OSMIUM channel their experience and expertise into a set of forward-thinking sonic interrogations that skewer established cultural preconceptions. Taking his cues from this process, Slater (who has worked alongside Jóhann Jóhannsson, Ben Frost and others) generates rhythms using a self-oscillating drum he designed with KOMA Elektronik and Subtext boss and Emptyset member Ginzburg responds in kind, producing booming tambura-like sonorities from a device he developed himself based on the monocord, an ancient single- stringed resonator. OSMIUM synchronize the three unique instruments using a custom system of robotics to generate basic rhythms that underpin their improvisations and experiments, and Shabara's alien tones supply the band with their conceptual fulcrum. The vocalist is one of South Asia's most recognizable underground artists, and the sounds he's able to create using exhaustively rehearsed extended techniques are so distinctive that he's been studied by scientists back home in Indonesia. Never weighed down by needless sound design or modish ornamentation, it's music that feels authentically experimental; OSMIUM have figured out an awkward symmetry between their discrete approaches, concentrating their gaze on the outcome rather than the process. The result is a work of science fiction that's driven by interaction, conversation and sensation.

Es ist die erste Aufnahme der genreprägenden Band seit 26 Jahren nach dem letzten, 1999 erschienen Album "Mute Massaker". "It's a Love Song" besteht aus zwei unterschiedlichen Versionen seines Songs "All This Violence", die im Januar 2025 in Wien und Dresden mit Saskia von Klitzing (Drums) und Eduardo Delgado Lopez (Bass) aufgenommen wurden. Angesichts der aktuellen Weltlage entschied Brötzmann, mit "All This Violence" ein klares Zeichen zu setzen. Er selbst schreibt dazu: " Schon nach ein paar Augenblicken war klar: was ich hier hörte, hatte die Botschaft, die Kraft und spiegelt unser Zeitgeschehen wieder. Keine von meinen Studioaufnahmen hatte diese Power. Und das war nur die eine Seite, es bedeutete auch den Spalt zwischen Schwarz und Weiß zu finden, zwischen Hell und Dunkel und zwischen Leicht und Schwer, wohin mit all meinen anderen Songs? Lange, lange habe ich nach der Achse gesucht und völlig unerwartet stand sie plötzlich neben mir im Raum . . ."

Ipsa Corpora (,Actual Bodies") ist ein 40-minütiges Solo-Gitarren-Meisterwerk und Nathan Salsburgs erstes rein akustisches Album seit dem 2018 erschienenen ,Third". Salsburg hat die letzten Jahre damit verbracht, Zeit und Raum mit seiner transzendenten Landwerk-Serie (bestehend aus E-Gitarre und Samples von alten 78er-Schallplatten) und einem gemeinsamen Album mit Bonnie ,Prince" Billy zu erforschen, auf dem die beiden Lungfish coverten. ,Ipsa Corpora" setzt diese Übungen in minimalistischer Zurückhaltung fort - und ist vielleicht sein bisher ehrgeizigstes Projekt.

This inaugural LP represents a significant milestone in Pierre Berge-Cia's musical journey, showcasing his innovative approach to electronic music.

Crafted through experimental processes and delving into themes of tension, control, and movement, "If You Do, Then When?" unfolds as a visceral journey through the complexities of bodily and sensory experience. Each track is designed to reflect the human body in all its shapes and forms, using innovative sounds and structures to evoke physicality and movement, and aiming to resonate with listeners on a deeply corporeal level.

The album was produced using a combination of the Elektron Digitone synth, a Mackie CR1604 mixer, a Shure SM57 microphone, and a limited selection of digital plugins to maintain sonic consistency. Mastering was handled by Pierre's close friend, Stefan Brown - also known as "Lesser Of". His expertise as a top-tier sound engineer at Abbey Road Studios helped shape the LP's pristine and powerful sound identity. Additionally, the tracks were tested and refined using some of the electronic scene's most beloved sound systems, ensuring an impactful club experience.

The album's artwork, created by Pierre Berge-Cia himself, is a reinterpretation of one of his favorite art performances: "Rest Energy" by Marina Abramovic and Ulay. The tension of the drawn bow and the close-up framing of the subject evoke a palpable sense of danger and emotional intensity, mirroring the physical and psychological strains within human connection. Pierre used his own hands as the model, infusing the artwork with a deeply personal and intimate touch that amplifies the psychic gravity and thematic cohesion of the album.

When the trio of Sontag Shogun gathered at Laura Naukkarinen's home on the Finnish island of Kimitoön in the summer of 2019, they had not the slightest inkling that the world was about to change irretrievably with the onset of a long-predicted pandemic the following year. Lau Nau, aka Laura Naukkarinen, is a Finnish composer whose music is imbued with an idiosyncratic, finely honed sound world. Her palette consists of acoustic instruments, singing voice, modular synthesisers, reel-to-reel tape recorders and field recordings. To date Lau Nau has released ten albums on record labels in Europe, the USA and Japan and a large number of collaborative releases. Lau Nau is known for her music to films and multi channel sound installations. She was awarded the Finnish State Prize for the Performing Arts 2021 as a sound designer. She has toured abroad for over 20 years, playing in venues such as Super Deluxe in Tokyo, the Lab & Castro Theatre in San Francisco and Blank Forms & Issue Project Room in New York.

Sontag Shogun is a collaborative trio that makes use of analog sound treatments and nostalgic solo piano compositions in harmony to depict abstract places in our memory. Textures built from organic materials such as sand, slate, boiling water, brush and dried leaves, both produced live in performance and recorded to weathered 1/4" tape warm up the space between lush piano themes. All of which is abstracted coolly in the reflective digital space of treated vocals and a live-processed feed from the piano. Bringing us back, like a faded passing scent or any natural emotive trigger, but to where? The wordless journey there will inevitably be more revealing than the destination itself.


'This exclusive re-issue of “Brighter Side of Blue” is limited to only 300 copies on baby blue heavyweight vinyl, with an individually-numbered obi strip, and bespoke essay from Amy Campbell.

This was one of our albums of 2023 (Double J agreed, too making #16 in their Album Of The Year Countdown). Released in mid-January, it soundtracked our late Australian summer. ‘Brighter Side of Blue’ was recorded in Bellambi in the Illawara throughout 2022. Featuring Cecil Coleman from Body Type on drums, and Russell Fitzgibbon (who also released Skeleten’s ‘Under Utopia’) on bass and co-production, it’s a beautiful shiny record that glistens like the sea in that part of Australia, a place where the waves meet ancient escarpment.

Green vinyl, limited to 500 copies. Helheim, one of the founding pioneers of the Norwegian viking metal genre, are ready to release their 12th studio album "HrabnaR / Ad vesa". On this record, Helheim has made a split album with themselves. For the first time, the main songwriters V'gandr and H'grimnir have divided the album in two, where they solely take care of the vocals on the part they represent musically. This has resulted in two very different expressions - not uncommon for this band, but never as clearly as here. The first half, "Hrabnar", contains four stand-alone songs written by H'grimnir. The second part, "Ad vesa", is about the four components in Norse mythology that we know collectively as the human soul. In pre-Christian Norway, the concept of the soul was not a singular, unified entity, but a composite of many elements, of which the four key components were Fylgja, Hamr, Hugr, and Hamingja. Founded in 1992, Helheim are known and renowned all over the world for their authenticity and integrity when it comes to portraying their Norse heritage. Constantly growing and evolving, and staying clear of musical trends and fads, they've carved their own way for more than 30 years. This split album is no exception. Recorded in Duper and Solslottet Studio in 2024/2025, the album was engineered, produced, mixed and mastered by Iver Sandoy.

Zum 30-jährigen Bestehen gönnt sich das Hamburger Dub-Label Echo Beach ein multidimensionales Porträt seiner Heimat- und Hansestadt Hamburg. Musikalisch hat das Label bereits die ganze Welt bereist und Dub-Sets aus UK, Südafrika, Neuseeland, New York, Jamaika und Germany veröffentlicht. King Size Dub - Hamburg ist die erste Album-Compilation, die sich exklusiv der Dub-Musik aus Hamburg widmet. Fun Fun was an Italian Euro disco band produced by Dario Raimondi Cominesi and Alvaro Ugolini. The group was fronted by models, while the vocals were recorded by

original singers Antonella Pepe, Angela Parisi, and Ivana Spagna. Spagna left after the release of their first album in 1983.

Their breakthrough came with the hit “Happy Station (Scratch Remix),” by Ben Liebrand which climbed the charts in several European countries, including the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium.
