Belia Winnewisser and Fatuma Osman have known each other since childhood, a friendship rooted in shared afternoons of music and late 90s/early 00s girl core. Their first joint debut EP Vertex, released through the Swiss label Light of Other Days, emerges as both a continuation of that bond and an exploration of process, weaving together collective memories with their present-day musical language.

Resisting polished closure, the record circles around the idea of limerence in sound: suggesting rather than declaring, outlining atmospheres that leave room for the listener’s imagination to fill out the blanks. Across its five tracks Belia and Fatuma oscillate between the personal and the universal, immediacy and nostalgia. The opening track Emerald rises like morning light; fragile, blissful, and quietly radiant. Covering Madonna’s 80s single Angel feels natural and slots seamlessly into the EP’s arc: as a defining pop presence of the last four decades, she embodies less an idol than a subtle compass. Surrender, the first track on the B-side, draws you into the club, vibrating between vulnerability and release. Each step extends their vision further, revealing a cohesive body of work.

Vertex holds opposite poles in tension, creating a space where vulnerability and intensity create dialog. What lingers is a realm of possibilities: a conversation between two friends and collaborators who understand that sound can be as much about what is left out as about what is expressed. Vertex documents their progression, marking a milestone without concluding it.

Paperbark is the ambient project of Jon Mulville, who has been shaping rhythmic and textural soundscapes since 2016. His music is rooted in memory, as a way to process emotional fragments. Guided by time spent in nature and created in response to a culture that often feels lacking empathy, his work aims to create space for reflection.

He has released eight albums, primarily on Seil Records, as well as Constellation Tatsu. 'Light Behind Me' marks his first CD release and only his second appearance on vinyl.

As promised, Playfool was always meant to be about inviting other artists to join the fun.

For this first collaboration, Occibel teams up with Light Blue File, a friend he met recently in Paris.

After sharing some beers, ideas started flowing and the vibe instantly clicked — no choice but to turn it into something real for you guys.

These tracks mark the beginning of a new series of collabs under Playfool Records, where creativity meets spontaneity under the summer sun.

Rock for Light is the second full-length album by Bad Brains, released in 1983. It was produced by Ric Ocasek of The Cars. We're proud to present the original mix of the album, for the first time in decades, as the band originally intended. Most fans will be more familiar with the 1991 reissue, which was remixed by Ocasek and bass player Darryl Jenifer. In addition to new mixes, that version used an altered track order. This reissue marks the fourth release in the remaster campaign, re-launching the Bad Brains Records label imprint. In coordination with the band, Org Music has overseen the restoration and remastering of the iconic Bad Brains' recordings. The audio was mastered by Dave Gardner at Infrasonic Mastering and pressed at Furnace Record Pressing.

Junk has been collaborating with creator Itsuki Kamiya in recent years, and the track was produced by him.
Juny-a plays alto saxophone, while Itsuki Kamiya plays guitar, chorus, and all other instruments. Junk sings this emotional and reverent song over an exhilarating
track that recreates the original sound.
The B-side is the popular track "Boku Dake no SUNSHINE," which has topped Spotify's viral chart three times.

From out of the dark, sparks of feedback birdsong signal a return to the singular sonic environments of Rafael Toral"s sound-world. A year after Spectral Evolution, his acclaimed album of electric guitar conceptions, comes the companion work Traveling Light. Sharpening his focus around a set of jazz standards, his move from abstract form to solid song elicits glints from beyond time and space, crafting a unique listening lens for deep listeners. In the early years of his practice, Toral used the guitar as a generator to create discreet texture and droning tones. Later, he abandoned the guitar entirely, focusing on self-made electronics to render his music with a post-free jazz perspective. For the music of Spectral Evolution and Traveling Light, Toral has combined his methodologies: radically expanding the space within their harmonies with his self-made machines, while engaging directly with his instrument and the chords of the material. In addition to Toral"s proxy orchestra of guitars, sine wave, feedback and bass guitar, Traveling Light features the sounds of clarinetist José Bruno Parrinha, tenor saxophonist Rodrigo Amado, flügelhorn player Yaw Tembe, flautist Clara Saleiro, who each guest on one song. In every contour of Traveling Light"s path - arrangement, improvisation and production - the spring of the old pours through the new in an unstoppable flow. The result is a listening experience of these standards that remains "in the tradition", even as the elongated harmonies seem to alter time such that, as Toral notes, "the chords become events on their own."

Diese neue Ausgabe und erste Vinyl-Neuauflage überhaupt von "Nancy" feiert eine der am wenigsten bekannten Phasen der verehrten Künstlerin. Nach drei Jahren im Rampenlicht und an der Spitze der Popmusik war Nancy Sinatra plötzlich in einer unerwarteten, aber irgendwie vertrauten Situation - ähnlich wie Anfang 1965. Sie war wieder einmal ohne Produzenten, ohne neue Songs und kämpfte darum, bei ihrem Label zu bleiben. Lee Hazlewood war Nancys Produzent und Duettpartner gewesen und hatte viele ihrer Hits geschrieben. Nach einer unglaublichen dreijährigen Erfolgsserie zog Lee plötzlich ohne Abschied nach Schweden. Editors-Frontmann Tom Smith veröffentlicht sein Solo-Debütalbum „There Is Nothing In The Dark Which Isn’t There In The Light“

Nach zwei Jahrzehnten als Frontmann von Editors und zwei Alben mit Smith & Burrows betritt Tom Smith mit „There Is Nothing In The Dark That Isn’t There In The Light“ nun endlich Solo-Territorium. Motiviert durch den Wunsch, zu den rohen, akustischen Anfängen seines Songwritings zurückzukehren, machte sich Smith daran, etwas Intimeres und Persönlicheres zu schaffen, weg vom kollaborativen Charakter seiner Bandprojekte.
Anfangs Stand noch der Gedanke im Raum, diese Songs wieder mit seinem langjährigen Kollaborateur Andy Burrows zu schreiben, entschied sich aber schließlich für einen einsameren Weg und engagierte stattdessen den Produzenten Iain Archer. Gemeinsam schufen sie ein Album, das auf emotionaler Ehrlichkeit, akustischen Texturen und Themen wie Verbundenheit, Erinnerung und Resilienz basiert.
Auf dem gesamten Album balanciert Smith reduzierte Arrangements mit filmischen Schnörkeln und schafft so eine dynamische Bandbreite – vom minimalistischen Schmerz von „Broken Time“ bis zum mitreißenden Drama von „Life Is For Living“.
Obwohl von Melancholie geprägt, schwingt auf dem Album letztlich Hoffnung mit – es unterstreicht Smiths Entwicklung als Songwriter und seinen Wunsch, Musik zu schaffen, die das Wesen seiner Persönlichkeit widerspiegelt.

LTF began as a 90s b-boy who was raised on funk and hip-hop before he even knew the names of the music he was hearing. Under the influence of early greats like DJ Shadow, Beat Junkies and Cut Chemist, he dove into turntablism and spun breaks across Siberia while digging for records. Once he discovered the sampler, his world shifted to loops, chops, basslines and scratches. His debut project Dapdown earned local buzz and global connections, including France's Black Milk Music crew, and a decade ago, while armed with Soviet synths, double bass, and dusty vinyl, he dropped his first solo album, Light The Fuse. But on 1997’s Serpents of the Light, the fourth album from the Tampa death metal quartet, Glen Benton’s rage-filled imprecations are a little more intelligible and songs like “Slave to the Cross” and “Blame It on God” do sport choruses that verge upon being hooky (if you have a meathook in mind). The anti-religion invective remains unabated, however… this remains music in extremis despite the stripped-down production. For its first-ever standalone U.S. LP release, we’ve remastered Serpents of the Light for vinyl and given it an Orange Smoke pressing complete with an inner sleeve featuring lyrics and a 12” x 24” poster of the cover image. It means their soundtrack is a living, breathing presence that's less about music a more of a sort of ghost that refuses to leave. Graw and French sculpt a world of distortion, static and whispered tones that feel dug out of crumbling ruins. It’s bleak, patient and unrelenting, always pulling you deeper into the lead character Sun’s fractured memories and the menace of her past. As a standalone release, it’s equally gripping: a record that blurs ambient, horror and noise into one oppressive atmosphere.
