Ride bassist Steve Queralt's debut solo album Swallow is a beautifully brooding nine-track collection that combines the darkly textured soundscapes of early M83 and Sigur Rós with an electronic sheen reminiscent of Boards Of Canada. It also features guest vocals from Sonic Cathedral labelmate Emma Anderson (formerly of Lush and Sing-Sing) and Verity Susman (Electrelane, MEMORIALS).Swallow has been slowly but surely pieced together between Ride albums and tours over the past five years and, perhaps as a result, has a slightly dystopian, Blade Runner feel that reflects the liminal spaces in which it was created. Despite the fact that the majority of the album is instrumental, there is plenty of power and emotion poured into these moody, moonlit soundtracks. When words do appear, an underlying anger and political slant emerges and amplifies the album's dark intensity. This is most notable on the closing track, `Motor Boats', where he overlays words from Julie Sheldon's polemic poem The Same Boat ("We're all in the same boat they say, but I would disagree"). According to Steve, these simple words of rejection "capture the reality of our times perfectly". However, it was the collaborations with the two guest vocalists that tied the whole thing together and paved the way to the finished album. "After a few false starts, I had started to doubt the project altogether. It was going nowhere," says Steve. "Then, out of the darkness, Emma got in touch to tell me that she'd found her voice and could I send her some tracks. A few files back and forth and an afternoon in the studio later and we had `Lonely Town' and `Swiss Air'."In the meantime, Verity from Electrelane had added vocals to the song `Messengers' and transformed the track. Matthew Simms, now her bandmate in MEMORIALS, would go on to mix the finished album."Swallow has turned out so much better than I had hoped," enthuses Steve. "I'd fallen out of love with it so many times I was thinking of calling it Loveless. But then, that wouldn't be the whole story...

würde, schnalzten die Jazzfans vor Freude mit der Zunge. Man kann sich nur ausmalen, wie überrascht sie
waren, als sie die ersten Tracks des Albums ”Getz Meets Mulligan In Hi-Fi” dann hörten. Denn auf Mulligans Vorschlag hatten die beiden Stars für die erste Seite des Albums spontan die Instrumente getauscht.
So war also Getz auf Mulligans Baritonsax zu hören, während Mulligan das Tenor von Getz spielte. Ein
kurioses, aber durchaus gelungenes Experiment, das dieses Album zu einem raren Leckerbissen macht.

der Regie von Produzent Norman Granz erschien 1954 ursprünglich unter dem Titel “The Consummate
Artistry of Ben Webster” bei Norgran, wurde dann aber 1957 auf Granz’ neuem Label Verve Records als
“King Of The Tenors” wiederveröffentlicht.

Multi Culti dive deeper into muso alchemy with ‘Cimbal Tanz,’ a record release that bridges the cult solo 'cimbal’ performance of Emil Jourjou with fellow Moldavian producer Bliz Nochi’s electronics.

Bliz Nochi began learning music at age 7 playing the accordion, later mastering the guitar and piano. By 17, he was experimenting with new metal genres, Dub, electronic, and indie music. In 2016, he released his first works under the name Bliz Nochi, blending world music and exotica infused with Balkan elements, which led him to connect with master musician Emil Jourjou.

Emil Jourjou, a master cimbal player born in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova, studied at the prestigious Ciprian Porumbescu music school. His years of experience and deep connection to Balkan musical traditions build a cultural bridge between classical and folkloric orchestral music, having performed at such events as the World Expo in Hanover, and for the Philharmonic in Lübeck.

In 2021, the pair began recording together, remixing their friend and mentor Andi Otto for Multi Culti (later licensed to last year's Buddha Bar compilation). That collaboration paved the way for this full-length LP, with one side focused on traditional cimbal recordings and the other side a fusion featuring Bliz Nochi's production, a format Multi Culti initiated to showcase the too often obscured talent of the solo musician.

"Hasabe" is a thoughtfully curated collection of Ethio-groove recordings from one of the overlooked pioneers of 1970s Addis Ababa's vibrant music scene-Ayalew Mesfin and his Black Lion Band. Expect trap drum kits, jazz big-band styled horn sections, funky guitars played through wah wah and fuzz pedals- all seasoned with a unique Ethiopian touch_ For many, the music created in 1970s Ethiopia will sound both familiar and alien: while the trappings of '70s Ethiopian music carry some aspects that those in the West will easily identify with-trap drum kits, jazz big-band styled horn sections, guitars played through wah wah and fuzz pedals-the Ethiopian style of singing, and the modes in which the musicians move, may confound. Perhaps some who have delved into the instrumental Ethio-Jazz of Mulatu Astatke-a well-known Ethiopian musical export, relatively unknown in his homeland-will have a context in which to engage this great compilation of '70s Ethiopian music by Ayalew Mesfin. The music Mesfin created with his Black Lion Band is amongst the funkiest to arise from Addis Ababa; his recording career, captured in nearly two dozen 7" singles and numerous reel-to-reel tapes, shows the strata of the most fertile decade in Ethiopia's 20th century recording industry, when records were pressed constantly by both independent upstarts and corporate behemoths, even if they were only distributed within the confines of the unconquerable East African nation. Ayalew was forced underground by the Derg regime that took control of the country in 1974. Until recently, only four of Ayalew Mesfin's tracks had been reissued, appearing in the well-known "Éthiopiques" series. "Hasabe", a carefully curated collection of his singles, marks the first comprehensive release of this powerful and long-overlooked body of work by an artist whose originality and resistance defined a genre: Ethio-groove. More than four decades later, this album offers the rare opportunity to rediscover a vital and beautiful chapter in global music history. We are now reissuing "Hasabe" once again thanks to a collaboration with Now Again. Pressed on 180g vinyl.

Zum 30-jährigen Jubiläum legen Kreidler zwei ihrer frühesten Werke neu auf: RIVA (1994) und das unbetitelte Mini-Album (1995). Beide Veröffentlichungen waren lange vergriffen und erscheinen nun remastered in einer hochwertigen Edition auf Bureau B. Die Aufnahmen dokumentieren die Anfänge einer Band, die sich seitdem als feste Größe zwischen elektronischer Musik, Post-Rock und Avantgarde etabliert hat. Die Düsseldorfer Kunstakademie, das Umfeld von Ratinger Hof und Creamcheese, sowie die Nähe zu Bands wie Kraftwerk, NEU! oder DAF bildeten den kulturellen Nährboden. Kreidler entwickelten daraus ihren ganz eigenen Sound: hypnotisch, reduziert, elegant.

Picnic return after a summer hiatus with a dance floor ready 4 tracker from UK artist HenryG. The debut EP from the Manchester based producer delicately transitions between house and electro, while touching on some progressive elements in between.



A1 comes in heavy with tastefully written synths and glitchy electro sounds drawing the listener into a dance floor trance. The A2 of the record, aptly named Serpent, slithers through progressive arpeggiators and a has a particularly distinctive, raw bassline, giving the immersive synths the power to carry the track.


On the flip side, B1 explores a deeper approach to HenryG’s studio output and resonates strongly with early dub techno cuts. The vocal really personifies the track and brings it to life. B2 does it exactly what it says on tin, it’s tough. Although the structure somewhat resembles a more electro tip, it finds the perfect balance in between the electro realm and underground house.

Dave Huismans (ex_libris, A Made Up Sound) presents In Transit, a self-titled LP of arresting downtempo vignettes, with origins dating back to over a decade ago.

Renowned for some of this century’s most notorious rhythmic advances, the work of Dave Huismans (fka A Made Up Sound and 2562) continues to provide a blueprint for new generations of innovation-obsessives. After a long hiatus from releasing original material, he returned in 2025 with two beloved EP’s as ex_libris. Now he returns to FELT as In Transit, following up on his remix of Civilistjävel! from 2023.

Borrowing its name from the closing dialogue of a novel by Dutch author Hella S. Haasse, In Transit was written in just two weeks in the summer of 2013 on a Korg ESX sampler. Since then, he has patiently refined its constituent parts.

Over the course of 38 minutes across six tracks, In Transit maps out an absorbing vista. The music shimmers with a celestial quality, underpinned by rhythmic stamina and creeping intensity. Tangential to Huismans’ previous work, the beats here are decentred and further scattered, acting as buoys to the constantly evolving and intricate narratives of layered textures.

In Transit marks a fascinating new addition to Huismans’ sprawling catalogue, a truly remarkable racket to be crafted with such humble means, finding a suitable context within FELT’s continued venture into parallel sounds.

Reflecting years of listening from behind the drum kit with Animal Collective, Boredoms, Dan Deacon, and Lifted arrives Low Air, the first solo LP from Jeremy Hyman.

The record is collected from home studio sessions, taken on the road, and sequenced through reflections of the live experience. Building on previous dance-floor-tuned outputs for Max D’s Future Times label, Low Air moves into a broader compositional arena: pared-down rhythms guide a wash of understated harmony, and compositions surface from a stream of purling noise. There were no standard operations across the music, but one key to the sound is the doubling and tripling of playback speed to fit musical passages into old sampling equipment. This process opened up a new line of inquiry into fidelity and pitch that can be heard throughout the LP.

Ubisoft und Laced Records haben ihre Zusammenarbeit erneuert, um die Musik von Assassin's Creed Shadows auf Vinyl zu veröffentlichen.

In Assassin's Creed Shadows werden die Spieler:innen in die reiche Kulisse des feudalen Japans versetzt. Der Soundtrack verwendet sowohl traditionelle Instrumente als auch verspielte moderne Produktionstechniken, die auf die Zeitperiode und die Sci-Fi-Themen der auf Zeitreisen basierenden Serie verweisen.

Das Komponisten-Duo The Flight (Joe Henson und Alexis Smith) kehrt zur Assassin's-Creed-Reihe zurück, um die düstere Originalmusik für das Spiel zu liefern. Das Duo hat mit japanischen Meisterspielern zusammengearbeitet, um eine subtile und suggestive Musik zu schaffen, die von weitläufigen Aussichten bis hin zu nervenzerreißender Spannung und explosiver Action reicht.

Die Spieler erleben die Geschichte durch zwei Charaktere: die Shinobi-Assassine Naoe und den Samurai Yasuke. Um der Geschichte jedes Charakters eine eigene klangliche Handschrift zu verleihen, hat Ubisoft mit einigen außergewöhnlichen Künstlern zusammengearbeitet.

So verleiht die japanisch-kanadische Band TEKE::TEKE der verstohlenen Naoe ihre eindrucksvollen "Needle Drop"-Momente und liefert außerdem eine einzigartige Interpretation von Jesper Kyds kultigem Serienthema "Ezio's Family". Ihre Surf- und Psych-Rock-Einflüsse erinnern an kultige Tarantino-Soundtracks.

Das Produktionsteam Thunderdrum (Alex Cameron Ward, Félix Rebaud-Sauer und Hugo Brijs) arbeitete mit dem britisch-tansanischen Sänger Tiggs Da Author zusammen, um die Geschichte des Samurai Yasuke zum Leben zu erwecken. Dabei verschmelzen Morricone-Gitarren, ostafrikanische Rhythmen und japanische Flöten mit Texten in Suaheli.

Durch die Verschmelzung von Morricone-Gitarren, ostafrikanischen Rhythmen und traditionellen japanischen Flöten mit Psych-Rock-Instrumenten zeigen Thunderdrum ihre Stärke in der Gitarrenmusik und der Vertonung. Skin/Glove is the second LP by Belgian musician Mathieu Serruys, following the release of his B.A.A.D.M. debut On Germaine Dulac back in 2014. Compiled over the course of a fortnight, the record features material recorded over the past five years: creaks of ice buckling under heat, thick hums like nauseating headaches, plumes of evaporated organ hymns, frostbitten crackles of dying tape loops. These disparate sources are unified by the pervasive corrosion of pain and time, which presses into the surface of every sonic object. Melodies splinter under the strain of being pulled apart; drones tremble under the gathering gravity of fatigue; dissonances flicker like candles on the brink of extinguishment. Yet despite the emotional density of the material itself, the process of composition provides a route toward comprehending how these sounds and experiences are connected. Skin/Glove reads as a constellatory map of adversity and grief, beautifully coalesced through the cathartic distance of retrospect, haunted by the sibilant whispers of distinct memories in dialogue, latticed by lesions that fatefully and poignantly intersect.

Zum 20-jährigen Jubiläum von God of War präsentieren Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Santa Monica Studio und Laced Records ein monumentales 13-LP-Vinyl-Boxset, das die Musik aller Spiele von God of War (2005) bis God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla (2023) umfasst. In zwei aufwendig gestalteten Schubern befinden sich sieben Hüllen mit individuell bedruckten Innenhüllen und exklusiv für Vinyl gemasterten Aufnahmen. Die Sammlung zelebriert die musikalische Entwicklung von Kratos’ Epos – von den orchestralen und choralen Klanggewalten der griechischen Saga (u. a. Gerard K. Marino, Winifred Phillips, Tyler Bates) bis zu Bear McCrearys preisgekrönten, emotionalen Soundlandschaften der nordischen Ära. Recorded in a single high-voltage burst of cosmic collaboration on an October afternoon at Philadelphia's Rittenhouse Soundworks, "The Burning Bright Light" is a sonic document like no other. A mind-meld between improvisation trio »Dromedaries« and sci-fi writer/vocalist "Alexoteric" (Alex Smith), the album emerges organically on a foundation of speculative fiction, free jazz interaction, avant-garde textures, and freestyle refrains.
