West Hill Music is a new sub-label from Periodica Records dedicated exclusively to productions curated by Mystic Jungle and conceived at West Hill Studio in Napoli, a longstanding creative hub active for more than a decade.
The project aims to reclaim and reimagine the language of mid-1980s music, drawing from both American and European New Wave through a personal filter that freely and instinctively blends elements of Italo Disco, Rock and Funk. The two tracks, moving within a dance-not-dance dimension, stand as a manifesto of this sonic synthesis and a further step in defining the aesthetic vision of the producer. On "Chasing Light", the collaboration with Igor Sekulovic continues, with the guitarist also appearing here as co-writer of the track, weaving together tense guitars, driving disco-rock bass-lines and slapback reggae-style vocals. "Under Pressure", on the other side, unfolds as a late-night electronic suite: minimal, aseptic and hypnotically repetitive.

Ayô Dele — which means "joy comes to me" in Yoruba — is neither a slogan nor a promised miracle. It is a breath of fresh air. That of an album born in the interstices, where the word find their way between shadow and light, between the disorder of the worldand the impulse to be .
At the heart of the project, Julien Gervaix and Damien Tesson, multi-instrumentalist beatmakers, share a groove language that is both dense and airy, where every detail breathes and finds its place.

Everything comes together with precision and flexibility, in an inventive and warm composition. With Ayô Dele , Ireke is embarking on a new chapter: the duo is refining its style,allowing the voices to breathe. The groove remains the driving force but opens up to intimacy. This intimacy is carried by two unique female voices: Nayel Hoxo, a Beninese-Nigerian singer/rapper, and Agnès Hélène, who has already made a name for herself on Tropikadelic with "Petit a Petit". They don't sing side-by-side; they coexist, respond to each other, and sometimes intersect. But each follows her own path: Nayel, with the power of her words in Yoruba, offers songs of elevation, healing, and resistance — a light born in the cracks Agnès explores these cracks themselves: what wavers within us, what reinvents itself in bonds, glances, and gestures.

Suicide AFTR 7 moves deeper into the shadows on this release, stripping things back while letting the groove hit harder. Built on pumping 808s, restless synth lines, and a subtle acid pulse, the project blends electro, cold wave, and leftfield instincts into something leaner and more focused than earlier records. There’s a proto-80s spirit running through it: raw, tactile, and slightly unpolished, where tension lives in the negative space and repetition becomes hypnotic rather than obvious.

For the first time, real bass guitar and drums enter the picture, adding human weight beneath the electronics without diluting Suicide AFTR 7’s core identity. The result feels rawer, more intimate, and quietly confrontational. Music for late nights, dim rooms, and inward motion. Still unmistakably SA7, but closer to the bone.

Perro Bueno is back with a sixth volume of edits that will only heighten his reputation in underground circles. Side A's 'BLRF' brings big but raw jazz-funk energy thanks to the blazing horn and that unmistakable Bueno swing. Flip it over, and 'NFSA' unearths a long-lost Afro groove that has been lovingly reimagined with deep respect for its roots and a sharp ear for the dancefloor. The art here is merging crate-digger nostalgia with fresh club energy that cuts through contemporary dance floors. Bueno's groove is also a defining factor and unstoppable as ever as his edit story keeps on rolling and keeps it thrilling.

First coming to prominence purely as a drum & bass artist, with the likes of Metalheadz, Digital's Function and Klute's Commercial Suicide labels all over his material, veteran Slough producer Amit has, in more recent years, spread his stylistic base via his Amar label to take in deep dubstep and a touch of acid as well as ruffneck junglist behaviour. This 12", his first for more than five years, is heavyweight dub business, with echo chambers set to maximum dubbage and shuddering sub causing potential structural damage to all but the sturdiest buildings in a five mile radius. 'Dem Rude', with its gunshots and sonic soup, takes the A-side, while the flip tune 'Hush Up' marries more aural abstractions with another stepping rhythm, the hi hats fizzing and sizzling like they're encased in a deep fat fryer. Great to have this vastly underrated underground trooper back in the ranks - and well worth the wait.

Milkcrate Mondays always deal in unabashed dancefloor fun, but that never comes at the expense of style and quality in celebration of the party of the same name's open-minded ethos. On the A-side, Spinobi delivers a dancehall-leaning refix of 'My Boo', reshaping the familiar hook with punchy rhythm and bass weight. The flip belongs to Palomo, whose 'My Boo' cumbia edit turns the freestyle classic into a rolling Latin groove built for late-night sets. Mastered by resident DJ Satin, this is another gem that continues the collective's tradition of crate-digger creativity and genre-crossing selections aimed squarely at moving the room.

Celebrating the 5th anniversary of Conway's legendary tape with DJ Green Lantern "Reject On Steroids" with a vinyl reissue in collaboration with Drumwork Music. Cosmo Dance is the artistic alias of Cosimo Mandorino, an Italian producer and DJ who has been active in the electronic music scene for more than twenty years, as well as the founder of the label Mirella. Produced and finalized in Napoli during a series of short stays, and developed with the contribution of Raffaele Arcella and Dario di Pace, "Cosmo-logic" unfolds within a parallel, plausible, and dystopian universe where humans and machines coexist in constant tension and perpetual conflict. A musical narrative shaped by rebellious computers, wars between binary systems, and universal unified languages, the record stands as a manifesto to the early era of Italo-Disco, while remaining deeply infused with influences from cosmic disco and stripped-down electronic funk. The tracks make extensive use of mechanical rhythms, voice modulators, vocoders, and analog effects, exploring sonic territories forged through iconic instruments such as the Korg MS-20.

Brooklyn-based DJ and producer Son of Lee is a native New Yorker who's been active in the local underground for over a decade. He launched this label back in August with a doozy of an EP that soon sold out, and so we're glad he's back. These are four more flame-hot disco edits marbled with references to many classic sounds and artists. 'Stop Making Cents' is jangling disco-pop, while 'Different Places' slows down to an 80s synth chug and 'Louis-Dreyfus Dance Face' brings some erotically charged disco sophistication and 'Nichols In May' is a mid-tempo and dubbed out delight with funky guitars for days. Classy and effective.

Punctuality presents its ninth release, Night Time, a potent four-tracker from Irish born, Berlin based producer New Members. Positioned on the spriitzzier end of the label’s canon, the record is a refined exercise in restraint, channeling classic, deep leaning house through a starry eyed, nocturnal lens.

The arrangements are unrushed and uncrowded, with each track built from a small selection of elements deployed for maximum impact. Evoking the deep cuts of early Balance and Global Underground mixes, the EP deftly weaves golden era progressive influences with neoteric production aesthetics. The result is polished, punctual tech house for late nights that stretch seamlessly into the morning light.

Title track Night Time carries a closing track sensibility: cute, catchy vocals glide over bubbling synths, blossoming pad washes, and jazzy chord stabs, recalling the finest Canadian Riviera house releases of the late 2010s: Total eyes closed on the dancefloor energy. Whisper In the Dark comes in trackier and toolier, with a rolling bassline resplendent with attitude and key changes, while trance and euro referencing stabs add a subtle touch of euphoria to the late night feel of the track.

Wishing Well maintains the afterhours feel with subtle atmospherics, gentle pads, and dubbed out acid wiggles, while chopped vocals and a pulsing low end push the groove forward. Hovering between genres, the result is a sleek, highly playable track for savvy selectors. The EP rounds off with Jealousy, a moodier affair with a dub techno feel that maintains the restraint New Members demonstrates throughout the release. Echoed whispers, delayed stabs, and a barely audible sub meld with delicate pad work and beguiling FX to striking effect. The piece as a whole is a luscious meditation on the hours after dark before light arrives.

Bogdan Ra kicked off his new label Love Affair with some banging house cuts that threw it back to early Chicago styles. This third outing flips the script and shows his range with four disco sounds that take their cues from the late 70s and 80s: all the hallmarks are there, from the classic synths and vocoders to dusty drum machines. 'Complimento' is a smooth title track, while 'Shout' is a French-tinged funk workout., 'Paramour' glides through cosmic disco textures, while 'Fire in Cairo' brings an unexpected vocal twist and acrobatic bassline full of movement. Charming stuff.

Intriguing Siberian B-Boy roots informed Anton LTF's first solo album last year and its mix of funk, hip-hop and early turntablism influences really worked. He's back now with a tidy two-tracker on Soul Service Sabrosura that leans into Latin funk. It's raw, direct and charged up tackle for once again getting under the skin of b-boys and girls thanks to the killer breaks. 'Garra' is lit up with shuffling percussive keys and rhythms and big brass horns, while 'Aroma Sunset' is more pared back and loose. There's a celebratory vibe that's smoother and more languorous, with sunny flutes leading the way and irresistible Latin charm in the ways the keys dance.

Chicago deep house pioneer Merwyn “Merle” Sanders needs no introduction to true heads.As one half of the legendary Virgo Four (alongside Eric Lewis) and under a slew of aliases, Merwyn helped shape the sound of late ’80s deep and acid house. Their records, now considered foundational, continue to echo across dancefloors and DJ sets worldwide.In the late ’90s, after years of trying to release more material through Trax Records, Merwyn took matters into his own hands. He self-produced his first 12” under the Merle alias — a record that sadly flew under the radar at the time, with most copies eventually destroyed. But one track survived and thrived: “Fannie Likes 2 Dance.” What started as a quiet release became an underground classic, highly sought after by DJs and collectors alike.

Now, Still Music and Jerome Derradji proudly present the full reissue of this cult favorite — featuring the two original mixes along with a never-before-heard unreleased remix by Merle himself.

This special edition comes housed in a full sleeve, complete with a detailed backstory written by Jerome Derradji about the track’s origins and legacy. A true slice of Chicago house history, back where it belongs — on wax.

Harry McCanna is a DJ and producer who might be known to you for his role in running NorthSouth records for nine years with Sam Bangura and Dale Mussington, as well as staffing the decks across the capital for at least a decade and half and taking up a residency at fabric when we came out of lockdown in 2021. Here, he launches a new label, focussed on "the hypnotic, trippy, steady side of things," with his first release under his own name, having released his productions under the Henry Hyde moniker since 2015. Hypnotic it may be, but it's not lacking either in sonic imagination - check the shimmering guitar trimmings, frothy pecussion and vocal flashes of 'A Temporarily Happy Man' - or funkiness, with the basslines to 'Stand & Deliver' and 'Red Moon' the very essence of prodding urgency. Add some sparing but very effective use of neatly edited breakbeats - see the economic propulsion of 'Hard To Leave' - and you've got four track that will slip into the mix very smoothly but come with their own distinctive personality.

One of the most radical musical pioneers of the 20th century, Sun Ra used jazz, electronics, poetry, and performance to expand the possibilities of sound, identity, and imagination. Commissioned by Omni Sound and curated by Ricardo Villalobos, the series brings together Underground Resistance, Chez Damier & Ben Vedren, Calibre, A Guy Called Gerald, She Spells Doom, Barış K, and Ricardo Villalobos himself. Drawing from Omni Sound’s recordings of Living Sky by the Sun Ra Arkestra and My Words Are Music of Sun Ra’s poetry, the producers pull fragments of sound and text into their own creative orbits, passing through the portal that Sun Ra opened into a realm where the impossible is possible. Originally issued on Paul Winley Records in 1973, “Smokin' Cheeba-Cheeba”—with Ann Winley on vocals—became a cornerstone of the 1980s UK Rare Groove scene, earning cult-classic status among collectors and DJs alike. On the flip, “Dance Girl”—also released under the Rimshots name—serves up one of the era’s most revered up-tempo breaks.
