Jeder, der genau hinschaut, kann erkennen, dass Cincinnati, OH, derzeit eine wahre Brutstätte musikalischer Kreativität ist, und die drei Mitglieder von The Serfs - Dylan McCartney (Gesang, Perkussion, Gitarre, Bass, Elektronik), Dakota Carlyle (Elektronik, Bass, Gitarre, Gesang) & Andie Luman (Gesang, Synthesizer) - und ihre jeweiligen Nebenprojekte (The Drin, Crime of Passing, Motorbike) sind unbestreitbar im Zentrum der New-Underground-Szene von Cincinnati. Nach der Veröffentlichung von Alben auf dem Berliner Minimal-Synth-Label Detriti und dem in Seattle ansässigen DREAM Records im Jahr 2018 bzw. 2022 macht die Band für ihr drittes und bisher bestes Album den Schritt zu Trouble In Mind. "Half Eaten By Dogs" gibt dem modernistischen Twitch von Future-Forward-Bands wie Total Control oder Cold Beat sowie dem post-industriellen Dancefloor-Grime von Skinny Puppy, Dark Day, This Heat oder Factrix einen entschiedenen Midwestern-Spin. "Half Eaten by Dogs" ist ein Blick durch ein Fernrohr in eine dystopische Vision, in der eisverkrustete Synthie-Harmonien triefende chemische Rhythmen und aufgebohrte elementare Rockformationen beherrschen. Die Musik ist eine Mischung aus düsterem Drum- und Synthesizer-Industrial und stygischen Gitarreninstrumenten, mal mit vorsichtiger Paranoia, mal mit melodischem Trotz und Ausgelassenheit (und in manchen Momenten mit Mundharmonika, Saxophon oder Flöte). "Half Eaten By Dogs" fasst erfolgreich alles zusammen, was The Serfs bisher erreicht haben, aber mit weitaus größerer Absicht und Zielsetzung als ihre vorherigen Alben. Es gibt Songs zum Tanzen und Songs, die man während eines Sturms oder beim Fahren durch die Straßen der Welt in sich aufnehmen kann. Es mag für die Band ein weiterer Schritt hinunter in die Katakomben sein, dabei aber auf dem Weg zu etwas Höherem.

A collection of unreleased themes and scores from 18 short animated films from the world famous Zagreb School Of Animated Film. Includes Oscar winning short cartoon Ersatz / Surogat by Dusan Vukotic (1961) and many other jazz, electronica and experimental scores by composer Tomislav Simovic. Coined by the famed film theorist Georges Sadoul at the 1959 Cannes Festival, The Zagreb School of Animated Film(s) or The Zagreb School of Animation, was defined as an artistic and philosophical world-view that set its mark on the history of animation in the 60's and 70's. The key feature of the Zagreb School (not educational facility in any kind), was commitment to stylization in contrast with the Disney-style canon of realistic animation. Among many composers that worked in Zagreb Film productions, the name of Tomislav Simovic (1931 - 2014) stands out. In his oeuvre of 300+ film scores (not counting compositions and arrangements for pop singers and jazz orchestras), many were made exclusively for Zagreb film documentaries, fiction shorts, features and animation. Simovic was particularly adept at writing music for cartoons. He skillfully synchronized movement and sound and mixed different musical genres, although, like his peers at the time, he leaned towards jazz. 'The Zagreb School of Animated Film (Original Soundtracks 1961-1982)' is compiled by Leri Ahel (Mutant Disco Radio Show) and Zeljko Luketic (Electronic Jugoton, Ex-Yu Electronica III). Master tapes were considered lost, now found and restored for this epic 2 x LP release celebrating Yugoslavia's animated art shorts. Double vinyl gatefold with extensive liner notes, photographs from the films and exclusive cover artwork by Dejan Krsic (NEP / Nova Evropa).

After breaking out of Glasgow's live circuit and releasing a critically acclaimed demo tape, the band of dissenters is ready to break the unsuspecting public. Never Sleep are proud to present a landmark moment in the Glasgow hardcore scene. The modus operandi of 'Intrigue/Fatigue' is as political as it is social, a fusion of post rock, art, hardcore, punk, and performance. It’s their first for the Berlin label (founded by Gabber Eleganza) following the elusive demos that circulated Glasgow's underbelly.

Ahead of the release K U T E brought their fervorous live show around the UK and beyond leading to award nominations in Scotland for 'Best Live Act' supporting bands like Militarie Gun, Angel Du$t, The Serfs to name a few. The band also played at Outbreak and .core festivals

The band member's Amy, Kenni, Fletch and Matty have been performing as K U T E for just over a year. Amy's frontwoman reputation has already garnered huge attention and her lyrics honesty, social awareness and humility has also made waves as a true new voice in music.

The result is a mesmerizing powerhouse of a debut, where they have found a singularity where hardcore meets Battles, or Godspeed goes full windmilling in the basement.

Playing singles 'For You', 'One More For The Walk' and 'Intrigue/Fatigue' have been released in the lead up to the record and have been making big waves at BBC6 with support from members of Mogwai. The band's technical yet gargantuan sound has crossed over into the public spectrum and led to a whole wave of new fandom.
