Big heart US deep house figurehead Chez Damier has opened his studio up to new school collaborators once again, with Italy's Nico Lahs and Adeen chief Camille getting back to work on a new series of tunes inspired by jazz-fusion and the sounds broadcast on legendary radio station WJZZ. 'Dragon Breath' opens with tense rhythmic interplay and expressive horns and vibraphones, while 'Tunita' offers shimmering rhythms. 'Third World Wave' is a busy broken beat with weighty kicks and brilliantly loose percussion all run through with off-kilter horns. The 12" expands the palette, from the lighter touch of 'Haiku' to the driving force of 'Bullet Train'. Another majestic collaboration.

Alt Dub label head Federsen links with Belgrade’s Estray for a deep, percussive exploration of dub house—where analogue weight meets globally-rooted rhythm and hypnotic late-night energy.

A key figure within Eastern Europe’s electronic landscape, Estray has spent over a decade shaping a sound that travels far beyond his home base. With releases on Rebellion, Neptune Discs, Sol Selectas, Akumandra and Buddha Bar, alongside an extensive international DJ presence, his output reflects a balance of cultural depth and dancefloor functionality.

His productions draw on a wide palette of influences, fusing African and Latin rhythmic structures with rolling, dub-informed low-end. Intricate drum programming and fluid groove design sit at the core, while his basslines—heavy, warm and propulsive—remain a defining signature. Federsen, known for releases on Echospace Detroit, Grayscale, Synchrophone, Lempuyang and Avant Roots, continues to refine a sound rooted in analogue process, spatial detail and textural precision. His work leans into restraint, allowing depth and subtle modulation to drive momentum.

Recorded at Devon Analogue Studios, the pair’s collaboration unfolds across four tracks built on dense sub frequencies, shifting percussion and evolving atmospheres. Each piece is carefully structured yet organic, moving between stripped-back dub frameworks and more rhythmically charged passages.

The result is a cohesive body of work that sits comfortably within the dub house tradition while introducing a broader, multicultural rhythmic language—equally suited to immersive listening and deep dancefloor moments.

Dr. Caligari was notoriously out of his mind — a genius fixated on experiments and a former lecturer at the Department of Experimental Phonetics. His students, Spacelunch included, spoke of him with cautious admiration: “Too smart to be normal; too bold to stop.” His laboratory looked like a hand-welded cosmos: cables everywhere, diodes, and the soft hiss of electricity.

“What’s that?” Spacelunch nodded toward the large glass dome.
“My new invention that allows sound to become tangible. Care to take a look?”

The Professor and Cat carefully stepped inside.

“You’re about to be the first to witness the voice of space!”
“Hey, we didn’t sign up for this!”
“Doesn’t that make the experiment more interesting?”

Caligari smiled and turned a dial. Their bodies stretched like strands of pasta and vanished. An instant later, they found themselves in another dimension: towers of transistors and coils rose into the sky, the air thrummed with low-frequency oscillations, and every flash of light carried the rhythm of a sonic lattice. Almost at once, the image wavered like old film, went black, and then snapped back to the laboratory. Caligari sat at the console, eyes fixed on the monitors. “It worked,” he whispered. “Perfect phase alignment!”

The Goblin Walk is an invitation to trace the footsteps of the eponymous creature through five swampy, dubby, liquid techno interpretations from four different artists. Label head Caldera opens with the gently underlapping space chug of 'Today', followed by Traevor's 'Reef' which turns marimba into a dubbed-out bass meditation. Caldera then features again under his Loop LF alias with 'Tiz', which pairs spectral sonic sketches with whimsical melodies that drift and float as if in a gravity-free zone. Streetfaxx then unearths a long-lost 2013 Cologne track, its patient rhythmic progression untouched by the passing years, before ambient textures take centre stage in Nightwaif's 'Xmas1 (vocal dub)' as tape experiments float over deep sub-bass, caught somewhere between 1980s new age and modern ambient minimalism. A compelling, exploratory world of sound.

LTDBLBL023 introduces Pove, a producer from near Venice with a deeply personal and intuitive approach to music. Built around a love for groove, the six tracks explore jazzy house and funk influences, driven by warm basslines and playful rhythms. Created without expectation and guided purely by feeling, the record captures a sense of freedom and quiet confidence

Dunster’s remaster serves the synth work well, keeping the melodic lines clear and the low end present without overcrowding the mix. Zentz built something durable here, and the vinyl pressing confirms it.

Sound Whore by DJ Mes follows, and Mes doesn’t waste any time. The wah-wah guitar arrives early, the trumpet not far behind, and then the Latin percussion and vocal samples start stacking up. It’s a lot, but Mes holds it together with a groove that keeps pulling everything back toward center. You don’t resist it. You just follow.

The B-side belongs to the most requested track in the label’s catalog, and it’s easy to understand why. Mike Huckaby’s remix of Cesar Ramirez’s Congo Fury anchors itself to a conga line and then opens outward, synth lines drifting across the rhythm like smoke. Huckaby had a particular gift for this, the ability to make a moment feel like it could last forever without ever losing tension. Ramirez’s own keyboard solo survives toward the end, a subtle crescendo that feels earned. Dunster captures the whole thing with care.

It’s Time to Jack by Da Outlawz closes the record. 909 drums, cracking snares, chopped vocal fragments. Barebones Chicago house, designed for a sound system that can take the weight. Nothing complicated about it, and that’s the point.

Fresh Meat Records is proud to present the vinyl re-release of From Chicago With Love, a record originally produced and released by Mazi Namvar (aka Audio Soul Project) in 2004. Though it may have flown under the radar upon its initial release, the record has recently gained a cult following, with prices on the secondhand market steadily climbing. A single copy now fetches as much as $170, with a recent test pressing selling for $100. Recognizing the demand, Fresh Meat Records has gone to work offering a beautiful repress of the record—one that truly does justice to the original while adding something special for long-time fans and newcomers alike.

From Chicago With Love Reprise is a celebration of a classic with a new dimension. The record includes a fresh fourth track, “Murmurs Low,” which features the saxophonist Jimmy Tripp and a spoken word performance by Mazi. Interdance returns in 2026 with its fourth vinyl release, continuing a journey that began in 2023 and further strengthening a distinct sonic identity rooted in hypnotic club experimentation and meticulous sound design. This time, the spotlight falls on Dani Labb, a true architect of sound, delivering four original tracks, including one reimagined by Z@p. The EP is deeply focused on repetition as a language of its own, building groove through carefully layered textures and surgical precision. Music designed to be fully experienced on sound systems capable of embracing the entire frequency spectrum, where every detail reveals its purpose.

The journey begins with Phase Two, a restrained yet immersive acid cut that slowly draws the listener into Dani Labb’s universe. Its progressive structure unfolds gradually, revealing tranceinfused nuances and vocal passages that feel like moving through levels inside a parallel dimension. A2 brings Nordark, following the narrative established by the opening track. Heavy low-end pressure, resonant highs, and a sonic architecture where drums retreat into the background, sketching rhythmic contours while the synth work takes full command. The B-side opens with Enbad, where tension rises and the energy becomes more forceful. The drums gain weight and the sound leans further into techno territory, while acid remains the guiding thread throughout. Closing the record, Z@p reshapes Enbad with his unmistakable signature of mystery, tension, and hypnotic arpeggios that push the experience to the edge. A producer who needs no introduction.

Signal Threat is the debut vinyl release of DRUUM aka James Orvis, an exhilarating and boisterous chest pumping collection of electro anthems. Raw and packed with energy, DRUUM’s productions are explosive and have serious bite. His sound is distorted and bold unfiltered, drawing inspiration from the infamous electro punk scene where he has carved out a name for himself. His impeccable use of rap vocals is unique and authentic its rhythmic and aggressive.

DRUUM’s bridging of various styles and use of heavy breakbeats are stunningly edgy. Each sound is carefully modulated and designed purposefully; it’s like a cage fight met a high stakes heist, buzzing with ruggedness. As some who have been following DRUUM are aware, he suffered two strokes in 2025. As DRUUM makes a strong recovery, Dionysian Mysteries felt obligated to get a posse of remixers to help raise money and awareness for this bad ass release. An absolute stellar group of producers are behind this release in support of DRUUM. Featuring remixes from the likes of Umwelt and Ben Pest.

The vibrant genre Eurodance originated in the late Eighties in Europe and combines many elements of rap and rich melodic vocals with strong bass rhythms and cutting-edge synthesizers. The 2LP Eurodance Collected compiles the best hits from Eurodance, including Snap! ""Rhythm Is A Dancer"", Technotronic's worldwide smash ""Pump Up The Jam"", catchy sing-a-long self-titled Captain Jack track, Dutch group Vengaboys' ""Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom!!, Belgium's hit-wonder 2 Unlimited's ""No Limit"" plus 22 other guaranteed dancefloor fillers. MP06 introduces DHAEUR to the Moving Pressure catalogue. The Berlin-based producer carves his sonic worlds through a strong sense of rhythmic architecture and a deep understanding of dancefloor dynamics. Here, he channels club-driven sensibilities into a mature and conscious 4 tracker.

The concept behind the EP reflects the principles of the label - namely, the pressure of sound and its resulting movement. Minimalism meets maximum technical intention, where swollen basslines and tightly coiled rhythmic progressions open up in signature DHAEUR style. The groove carries a distinct elasticity, punctuated by vocal inserts that add a subtly funky, almost soulful essence to the flow. Every element sits with purpose: dynamic yet
stripped back, intricately offset in ways that keep the body locked and the mind wondering. While the A-side leans into this physical immediacy - driving, playful, and sharply articulated - the B-side slips further into the tunnel. Atmospheres thicken and the palette turns eerier, stretching its essential rhythmic backbone into darker territories. Spatial details begin to seep through the structures, pulling the listener deeper while maintaining that firm gravitational pull toward the dancefloor.

Together, the two sides reveal different shades of DHAEUR's language. The result is a beautifully balanced narration between propulsion and immersion, where groove-led functionality meets a more shadowy, atmospheric depth.

Santamaria Brothers are the latest incarnation of a lifelong musical journey rooted in rhythm, rebellion, and reinvention. The children of Peruvian and Ecuadorian immigrants to Australia, brothers Pat and Andrew Santamaria grew up steeped in the sounds and culture of Latin America - a deep inheritance that coloured everything they did, even as they moved through scenes and styles far from home.

In their youth, the brothers sharpened their first musical swords playing in globally touring indie bands. As the rhythm section of cult outfit Lost Valentinos, they had the opportunity to see the world and learn from the best; touring with, working alongside, and releasing music through the likes of Soulwax, Ewan Pearson, and Kitsuné. Taking those experiences home, they dove deep into the rave underground, co-founding of the crucial Sydney-centric techno label, warehouse party collective, and long-running radio show Motorik! In that guise,they helped shape the city’s electronic music scene over the past decade from the booth, the studio, the airwaves, and the street.

Now, after years behind the decks and on both sides of the mixing board, Santamaria Brothers return to their roots - releasing music under the family name for the first time. With We Got Latin Soul, they bring it all together on a 4-track EP of club-ready edits (via Sosilly Records). Reworking four towering figures of Latin soul; Mongo Santamaria, Ray Barretto, Pucho & The Latin Soul Brothers, and Joe Bataan — the brothers inject each cut with tasteful touches of Balearic haze and chugging acid house pressure, honouring the originals while making them sing on today’s dancefloors.

This is Latin soul filtered through a unique blend of antipodean rave culture, crate-digging, and relentless reinvention. It’s joyful, percussive, and made for the club - a full-circle moment from two lifers forever finding new ways to move bodies.

After a brief hiatus, Cosmocities returns in 2026 with Tech Rico EP, the final release from longtime collaborator, visionary artist, and producer Erik Rico. Completed shortly before his passing last year, the EP stands as both a creative evolution and a tribute to an artist whose influence crossed genres and generations.

Erik Rico first connected with Cosmocities founder Matt Soulie through Inkswel during the release of Cosmic Love Affair EP in 2022, leading to further collaborations including The Rare Groove Project. Following that release, Soulie encouraged Rico to explore a more techno driven sound, which became the foundation for Tech Rico EP.

The EP sees Rico stepping into new sonic territory while maintaining the rich musicality that defined his career. “Tokyo By Train” marks his first full dive into techno with driving rhythms and atmospheric textures, while “Afro Beatdown (Let’s Go)” blends Afro rhythms and broken beats inspired by the spirit of Fela Kuti. “Summer In Chi Town” pays tribute to Chicago house with warm synths and skippy drums, later reworked by Inkswel with additional vocals from Erin Buku and Marley Love into a soulful bruk infused remix. Closing track “Madrid or Manhattan” delivers a hypnotic house groove layered with trippy vocoder vocals.

A singer, songwriter, multi instrumentalist, producer, and DJ, Erik Rico spent more than two decades shaping a sound that bridged soul, house, hip hop, and Afrobeats. His career included collaborations with Tupac Shakur, Q Tip, Ladybug Mecca, and Jurassic 5, as well as scoring work for HBO, MTV, and PBS.

More than just a release, Tech Rico EP celebrates Erik Rico’s artistic spirit, fearless evolution, and the deep musical connections he built throughout his life. Cosmocities is honoured to share this final chapter with the world.

Die MerKaBa Brotherhood erforscht verborgenes Wissen durch Rhythmus und Klangtextur. Roman Norfleet (The Cosmic Tones Research Trio, Be Present Art Group) und Andre Raiah (Brown Calvin) schöpfen aus esoterischen Texten, sakralen Bildern und mystischem Denken und formen Klang zu Raum, Ton und Puls. Ihr selbstbetiteltes Album ,The MerKaBa Brotherhood" verwandelt Klang in eine Arbeitssprache - Texturen als Diagramme, Melodien als Signale -, die zwischen Rhythmus und Offenbarung mitschwingt.

Gorizont Sobytiy (Event Horizon), the duo of veteran electronic musician Nocow and his wife, DJ Designer, mark the project's debut with an album worth of material of 'frogg-step' / Pankratov Step. It's safe to say this is an intriguing proposition for even those well-initiated into the world of the contemporary Russian underground. What is perhaps most immediately obvious across the 11 tracks is a clear appreciation for golden-era Rephlex records, as if the duo are reflecting on how the iconic label was perceived in the Eastern bloc at the time. There's a nostalgic touch tugging at the heart strings with the warm ambient tones of 'Bananoivy Twist' or even the ballroom-esque organ melodies of follow up 'Chacha', both swiftly followed by a switch back into frantic gabber style kicks that recur across the album.

To give a little more away in terms of a background story, Nocow and DJ Designer draw influence from a film called Winter Evening in Gagra, a somewhat distant feeling artefact of late-Soviet cinema about a tap dancing champion's late nights spent gallivanting across the glitz of Moscow's pop music scene in the 1980s. Maximalist in its sound design, Pankratov Step draws its name from actor-protagonist Pankratov, not quite an out-of-time soundtrack as such but at the least a wry nod to the former world in which the film takes place. The cascading, brittle synthesis of 'Cemetry's Boss' forms an icy cinematic fusion again with a gabber influence at play whilst a fierce acid line works alongside myriad glitch rhythms and repeating keys on 'Octopus Werk'. Influenced by the local humour and sentimentality surrounding the film, a melodrama with themes of lost art and a kind of old-world transcendence the young circus performer yearns for, the duo use it as a vessel to describe the projects sound - a coalescing of vintage Soviet soundtracks, early IDM, Jake Slazenger and Expert Knob Twiddlers album. 'Pankratov-Step' becoming their own fictional genre. The LP marks another avant-garde chapter in Nocow's long back catalogue, as well as a fully formed collaborative debut for the currently enigmatic DJ Designer. Pankratov Step is the second release on GOST ZVUK sub-label MEMONT, curated by Kuzma Palkin.

Somewhere between the after-hours haze and the first flicker of sunrise, Nebraska re-emerges - this time with a twist in the signal. Long respected for his deep-cut sensibilities and dancefloor intuition, Ali Gibbs returns to Delusions Of Grandeur not just as Nebraska, but with a handover to his new alias: Dubl Drat. The Alter Alter Ego EP plays like a transmission from both sides of his creative psyche - one rooted in warm, groove-led house and disco mutations, the other drifting deeper into dubbed-out, heady abstraction.

The A-side opens with Alter Alter Ego in its Nebraska OG Mix form - a crunchy, funked-up mid-tempo burner. Chopped Rhodes solos flicker in and out of the mix while a rolling bassline locks into a low-slung groove - equal parts party-starter and late-night dancefloor hypnosis. Next, The Teckel Track slides the tempo down into a proper slo-mo four-on-the-floor bumpy groove. Fat stabs punch through layers of glitchy FX while a melodic bassline snakes underneath, forming a hazy, infectious earworm tailor-made for those early-night mood-setting sessions. Closing the A-side, Olive (Dubl Drat Dub) signals a shift. Here, Gibbs leans fully into his Dubl Drat persona, dissolving structure into a blissed-out dub excursion.

Chopped breaks scatter across the stereo field, chiming melodies echo into the distance, and granulated percussion parts build a dense, immersive landscape - one to get lost in rather than dance through. Flipping over we have Alter Alter Ego (Dubl Drat Remix) which reconfigures the title track into a stripped-back boogie workout. The groove is leaner but no less potent, driven by a killer bassline and punctuated with signature Rhodes licks - pure, understated club pressure. Finally, Olive (Nebraska Version) offers a gentle comedown. This alternate take softens the edges, introducing additional guitar textures that drift into Balearic territory. It’s nostalgic, introspective, and quietly expansive - a closing chapter that lingers long after the last note fades. The Alter Alter Ego EP isn’t just a new release - it’s a dual-state exploration, a conversation between rhythm and space, between Nebraska and Dubl Drat, and marks the last ever Nebraska release as Ali closes the chapter and the alias for the final time.

Arpy Brown & Kapote Announce Collaborative Album Memento Ludi via Toy Tonics

A sun-drenched fusion of yacht rock, house and modern indie dance energy – out June 26, 2026
BERLIN, GERMANY — Toy Tonics is proud to announce Memento Ludi, the first collaborative album by label founder Kapote and multi-instrumentalist producer Arpy Brown, arriving June 26, 2026.
The album is a funk-driven journey that bridges the warmth of 1970s analog recordings with the pulse of contemporary dance music. Blending neo-soul grooves, yacht rock harmonies and modern house rhythms, Memento Ludi captures the spirit of classic musicianship within a forward-looking club context.

But Memento Ludi is more than a typical house record. The album moves fluidly between dancefloor tracks and fully developed songs. Every instrument was performed live by the artists themselves: guitars, bass, keyboards and percussion recorded in the studio by Arpy and Kapote. After jamming and recording the basis of every song in a live procedure they carefully resample the parts to create the organic, human touch that defines the Toy Tonics sound.

The title Memento Ludi — Latin for “remember to play” — reflects the album’s philosophy: bringing joy, spontaneity and musicality back into dance music at a time when many club tracks feel increasingly mechanical and formulaic.

The collaboration arrives during a particularly busy moment for both artists. While spending countless hours in the studio, Kapote and Arpy Brown have also maintained intensive international touring schedules with the Toy Tonics crew, road-testing many of the tracks as “secret weapons” in their DJ sets from Melbourne to Los Angeles via their homebase Berlin.

“We wanted to make a record that felt like a lost studio session from 1978 — resampled and synthesised in 2026,” says Kapote.

Featuring rare- and first-on-vinyl tracks from beloved producers such as 2000 And One, Stasis, and CiM. Remastered by DMX Krew and with an accompanying online essay by Oli Warwick.

Across eight carefully selected slices of starry-eyed machine soul, Cold Blow presents an exquisite tour through backroom techno and downtempo electro. With a focus on thematic flow and an immersive listening experience, the London-based label explores works from leading lights of the 1990s and previously unreleased cuts that celebrate the human heart that can be discovered in synthetic sound practices. The development of techno in the 1990s saw the music evolve in different directions across the world. From the expressive blueprint laid out by the Detroit pioneers, a wide range of tempos and energies emerged. Techno's evocative synthesis and intricate drum machine programming was especially potent for deeper explorations away from the dancefloor. Documents Of A Different Reality casts back to when technology was steering quantum leaps in communication and creativity and the future was shot through with naive optimism. It was also a time when the media and industry hadn't caught up with the music to box it into distinct categories. As such, there's a sense of creative freedom that informs the older tracks on the album, from 2000 And One and Sandy Huner's sparkling example of early Dutch techno to London-based LA Synthesis' detailed take on braindance and the majestic night sky vision of cult legend Stasis. There's also space for rare, late 90s machine funk from Icelandic outlier Thor alongside Connective Zone's charmingly fractured bleep dream and a more contemporary offering from Barcelona-based duo Permutation. Meanwhile Mind Control and CiM both capture the spirit of stylistic fusion with twitchier rhythms that take influence from hardcore and jungle as much as techno. With an atmospheric through-line of melancholic pads and harmonious leads, this small but perfectly formed collection naturally follows on from previous, equally thought-out compilations on Cold Blow, and adds a distinct perspective on the history and continuing legacy of pioneering early ambient techno.

ANNE is proudly presents her new imprint Blind Harmonies, shaped by intuition, patience, and a self-taught approach to music creation. The name reflects a journey built without formal training, producing music "blind," guided by listening, experimentation, and trust in instinct rather than rules. The label is built on the belief that harmony is something you sense before you understand. By closing your eyes, sound becomes more honest, rhythms breathe, textures speak, and emotion takes the lead.

With her first release, ANNE presents four dynamic, dance floor - oriented cuts-emotional and seductive at the same time. Opening with A1. On his own Eerie label and across expansive releases for respected outposts such as Spazio Disponibile, Incensio and Astral Industries, he's taken an exploratory approach to rhythm and spatial design while always drawing on intentional thematic frameworks, creating distinctive and immersive dance music in the process.

As Samurai Music continues to celebrate the rich seams of inspiration where deep techno and drum & bass intersect, Sartorelli's malleable, mysterious strain of drum work fits right in and sets a captivating tone for the label's operations in 2026. 'Sumud' is a steely drum mantra dealing in fractured patterns with the primal patina of the early Artificial Intelligence era, while 'Las Dunas de Taroa' leans on gently pulsing melancholia undulating at a half-time pace. Spatial stalwart and ambient master Aural Imbalance returns for a fresh slice of atmospheric heaven with Unknown Universe. A1 - Alien Lifeform A serene, distinctly atmospheric synth intro with light hats introduces Alien Lifeform, Aural Imbalance toying with filtered breaks and a deep bassline which ushers in trademark melodic pads and a thoughtfully constructed amen pattern. Rolling and intense, the track embodies Spatial’s love for the floor as well as the absorbed listener, nodding along to the laid-back rhythms on the 2am train home. A2 - Indigo Soothing, calming synths create an evocative introduction peppered lightly with cymbals and gentle intrigue, before the Circles break takes center stage with a delightfully constructed and crisply programmed pattern. A spirited breakdown with a subtle trance-like quality ensues before the breaks take over again, all set to a suitably earthy 808 bassline humming away below. AA1 - Empty Universe Deliciously clean and chunky Hot Pants breaks provide a DJ-friendly intro to Empty Universe, a blissful rolling track which sees Aural Imbalance fusing incredible 80’s synthwave vibes, rolling deep basslines and micro melodies with that timeless and evocative break - programmed to perfection - culminating in a stunningly atmospheric piece, fresh for the discerning listener - just as we like it at Spatial. A2 - Lunar Phase Kick back as Aural Imbalance closes the EP in fine form with a leisurely trip to the dark side of the moon. Lunar Phase opens with a short intro featuring sullen tones and light hats before a hypnotic break pattern takes over proceedings, and airy padwork circles above. A meandering melody builds throughout the piece and develops its final form during a luscious breakdown, and through the closing stages of this truly beautiful track. KKYV09 is a four-track EP by Helsinki-based producer and DJ Valeria Croft, exploring a refined intersection of house and minimal shaped by funky rhythms, rolling grooves, and detailed, tactile sound design. Alongside three original cuts, the release features a remix by Romanian DJ and producer Lumieux. The EP opens with Measured By The Silence, a hypnotic, groove-led track that defines Valeria Croft's sound through subtle progression and layered detail. Floating within a vibrating minimal house framework, the track delivers warm, positive dancefloor energy across its eight-minute journey. Lumieux's remix flips the mood, pushing the arrangement into a tighter, more driving house direction while carefully reworking elements of the original into a fresh, high-impact version. On the B-side, Flex Your Body leans into an old-school minimal feel, enhanced by sensual vocal sampling and a darker, late-night atmosphere. The EP closes with Night Shift Funk, a deep, immersive track that pulses with nocturnal energy, unfolding slowly and methodically as textures stack and tension builds. Together, the tracks form a cohesive, dancefloor-focused release designed for extended DJ sets and late-night sessions.

dgoHn (pronounced “John") is the moniker of John Cunnane, who hails from somewhere between London and Essex. ‘Tessares,’ his fourth album but his first for Planet Mu, is playful, unconventional drum & bass that contrasts sparse effects and melodic elements with complex drumfunk and breakcore. He often uses unusual time signatures and head-spinning polyrhythms inspired by jazz and math rock, sometimes within the same track. Somehow he makes it sound effortless, and occasionally pretty as well, keeping a fine balance that never feels punishing; exploratory without getting lost.

He's built a name for himself over the last two decades performing live at festivals and events around the world, while collaborating with fellow artists such as Macc, Nic TVG, Jodey Kendrick and Badun as well as solo releases.


The album opens with ‘Waiting For’ which combines complex breaks with melodic fills, spacey effects and dubbed out vocals that feel like snatches of lost conversations - a combination he uses throughout the album giving it an eerie touch of humanity. Lead single ‘I Couldn't Remember So I Made Something Up’ is in 15/8 time. It feels like a conventional melodic drum & bass track, but the time signature disrupts the listeners’ expectations, while the detuned melody eases its sense of dislocation. ’Whistling On A Tuesday’ opens with a light echoey piano countdown into bass stabs which introduce heavy whirling amen breakbeats that switch between 180 and 120 bpm. ’Holly Can Swim But She Doesn’t Really Like It’ is the most rhythmically challenging track here. It feels hard to hang on to as its knotty breaks play out over bell chimes, like something Autechre might make if jungle was in their DNA. The album ends on the dubbed-out drumfunk of ‘7 Years Or More,’ with an arrangement that builds a filmic, dusty atmosphere of chimes and electric guitar, layering in vocals, vinyl crackle and echoing synth giving way to tough drums, before all that is taken away so that just a voice remains.

Streetlight’s third album (following the Keasbey Nights re-recording) refined and expanded on the sound of their debut, delivering a tighter, more polished collection of songs. The record opens with "We Will Fall Together," one of the band’s most beloved tracks, and maintains a relentless energy throughout its ten songs. Lyrically, Kalnoky continued exploring themes of cynicism, faith, and perseverance, wrapped in the band’s signature wall of horns and propulsive rhythms. It cemented Streetlight’s reputation and remains many fans’ pick for the band’s best work.

Limited Silver Vinyl. The Rapture wurde im Frühjahr 1998 von Vito Roccoforte und Luke Jenner gegründet. R&B outsider Zsela joins forces with inc. no world's Daniel Aged and film composer Taul Katz on '4 Dreams', a billowing ambient-neoclassical hallucination that'll tickle fans of Mary Lattimore, Malibu, Nala Sinephro, Gigi Masin. If you only know Zsela thanks to her dramatic 2024 debut album 'Big For You', the mostly beatless, fully reflective '4 Dreams' might come as a surprise. But look a little further back in her catalogue and things will fall into place; remember 'Angels Pharmacy' and Remembrance' from Actress's 'Karma & Desire'? That was Zsela on vocals, so she's got priors. '4 Dreams' started life as the soundtrack to 'Seven Heavenly Senses', an art exhibition from last year at Paris's Hôtel de la Marine, but has since taken on a life of its own. Zsela's breaths are stretched and sculpted into warm, washing biomechanical pads on the opening dream, left to weather tinny arpeggiated FM synths and muggy bass drones. So far, so predictable. But Zsela muddles proceedings with her confident delivery, layering her voice into jazzy, R&B inflected key changes that keep you guessing. Imagine an astral plane answer to Dawn Richard's ambient-inflected pop and you'll have some idea of where this is headed.

Then 'Dream 2' takes an unexpected diversion, the vocals replaced by swirling harp flourishes and the kind of floating synth stabs that draw a core logic from classic Ambient - Harold Budd, Laraaji et al - then adding extra colors just where necessary. And on 'Dream 3', faint, almost folk-y strings enter the frame, calling out from beyond the horizon, almost blotted out by a synth part that's in the thrall of Gigi Masin's legendary 'Clouds' - the track that ended up being repurposed by Björk on 'It's In Our Hands'. Zsela, Katz and Aged keep that momentum for the final track, too, letting cinematic strings echo around subtle synths and vanishing rhythms, hitting those hypnagogic, tranquil notes that so much contemporary ambient music seems to avoid. 'Cause at its heart, '4 Dreams' is deeper than that, a record that's entrenched in jazz, soul and classical minimalism rather than throwaway numbing music, of the contemporary variety.

Side A begins with CEM3340 & 2030’s “I Don’t Know”, a Detroit-inspired electro cut merging crunchy basslines, warm strings and raw energy, showcasing the nostalgic yet forward-thinking music crafted by two key figures of the Italian electro underground. Lake Haze keeps the electro narrative moving with “Modular Processed Data”, a melancholic broken-beat piece that balances softness and strength with timeless poise. Closing the side, 3KZ unveils “Step Into Light”, pushing the emotional range further through radiant melodic layers and harmonic clarity: high-impact, luminous, and built for those rare moments on a big system when everything clicks.

The journey ends with three shape-shifting cuts on the B Side that refuse to play it safe. Passarani 2099 (an alias of Marco Passarani) warps the frame with “Golden Valley”, channeling dubstep tempo, neuro-basslines, and haunting sequences into mutant rhythmic territory. Peryl’s “Res Affair” follows as a modular techno bomb—wobbling bass, broken patterns, alien textures, riding the edge between chaos and control with surgical intent. Finally, Nothus closes the compilation with “Tango”, an uncompromising finale of gritty rhythm work and experimental propulsion: the perfect full-stop to a decade mapped in sound.

Next up on Acid Pauli's new label All Is Acid is Urwald (engl. jungle). Originally released 2009 on Smaul, the track has been carefully restored and remastered and comes with a brand new remix by French DJ and producer rRoxymore.
Urwald marks an early moment in Acid Pauli's solo work. The track is built on a dry, steady rhythm and a small melodic loop that shifts slowly over time. It does not follow a classic build-up structure and lets subtle changes shape the movement to give it a hypnotic vibe.
The new rRoxymore remix makes the tune even trippier. She loosens the rhythmic grid, softens some of the edges and tell's her own story with lots of off-the-wall elements that guide the listener through the jungle.
