The Three of Us is a name you might not know even if you are something of a jazz lover. It was the name that jazz keyboardist Hilton Felton - who will be much more well known to those with an ear for rare groove - used for this one groovy soul-jazz album. It arrived in super limited quantities back in 1971 and is now hugely sought after and therefore also rather expensive on the second-hand market. Joining Felton for these sessions were bassist Joe Harris and stickman Johnathan Setell, but it is Hilton's touch that really elevates the music - his free melodies and deep grooves really make their mark. This one has never been reissued before.

All are graced with the quietly self-assured elegance of Anne’s playing, with sounds ranging from the breezy ‘Clea Caught A Rabbit’ to the terrible beauty of ‘Wishing Well’ - each song typifying the bouzouki or guitar style. The Fire Theft was an alternative rock band from Seattle, formed in 2001 from the ashes of legendary emo band Sunny Day Real Estate. The lineup consisted of vocalist/guitarist Jeremy Enigk, bassist Nate Mendel and drummer William Goldsmith. Mendel is also famous for being the full-time bassist in the Foo Fighters and Goldsmith was also Foo Fighters’ drummer between 1995 and 1997. This is the 20th anniversary reissue of the band's only album which was originally released on Rykodisc in 2003. A 2019 vinyl reissue of this record currently goes for very silly money on the second-hand market…Features reconstructed artwork for vinyl by Nathan Shumaker, on a gatefold cover with embossed print, 12" insert, 180 gram coloured double vinyl.

As the fable goes: pre-discogs, intrepid disc jocks would often take trips to Italy (many tricking their spouse into believe it was a ‘holiday’!) to source records from the seemingly endless supply of top tier Italo, disco and cosmic record shops across the country. According to legend, the classified sections of local yellow pages and information booklets which would contain the addresses of the record shops and dealers in the area would often be ripped out unscrupulously, thwarting – or at least making it more difficult for – the next vinyl tourist to source out the rare gems amongst the rich seams – a wild west vinyl gold rush if you will.

Such stories are a rarity these days, with youtube making some of the most underground tracks common knowledge, and discogs almost making any record obtainable – at a price of course. Upgrading his digging methodology, Bosco has developed a secret New Technique to side-step the machine and in doing so obtained a clutch of amyl-soaked fluffers that are so rare, that upon writing they aren’t even listed online! Seriously, he must be communicating with some interdimensional, upper echelon Italo overlords; taking us on a primo-thrust tour through the most unexposed recesses of the Italo disco galaxy.

Don’t be hoodwinked by their sheer obscurity however; we wouldn’t give a toss if they couldn’t tear the arse off the dancefloor. But they’re all fuckin rhodium grade tackle peeps! Christian Kjellvander gehört zu den wenigen Musikern, die ohne Kompromisse ihren Weg gehen, immer nur das nächste Album im Blick. Nach der Reunion seiner Band Loosegoats und deren 2012er-Album "Ideas For To Travel Down Death"s Merry Road" legt er mit "The Pitcher" umgehend nach. Es ist die fünfte Soloplatte des schwedischen Singer/Songwriters und die erste seit "The Rough And Rynge" aus dem Jahr 2010. Aufgenommen in einer alten Kirche auf dem Land in Schweden, ist "The Pitcher" sein vielleicht elegantestes und handwerklich sauberstes Werk. Eine sehr atmosphärische, dichte, bewegende Platte, mit Hingabe geschnitzt aus Worten, Noten und Erinnerungen, die mit den ersten Akkorden von "The Mariner" - einer zarten, sehr persönlichen Ballade - beginnt, sich in "The Zenith Sunset" mit den Brüchen in der Mitte des Lebens beschäftigt, um dann mit der Hymne "The Bloodline" zu enden. Das Ganze vorgetragen mit geradezu hypnotisierender Klarheit und dieser einzigartigen Stimme, die hier noch tiefer, noch einschmeichelnder erscheint als je zuvor. Die LP erscheint mit CD.

Die Wiederveröffentlichung von "Swan Songs" von Lord of the Lost ist ein bedeutendes Ereignis für Fans der Band und des Dark Rock-Genres. Ursprünglich wurde "Swan Songs" als Teil der vielfältigen Diskografie der Band veröffentlicht, die Elemente aus Gothic, Metal und Rockmusik miteinander verbindet. Die New Wave Of British Heavy Metal Band Apocalypse aus London wurde um 1980 von Gitarrist Steve Grainger gegründet. Die Band ging aus zwei Bands im Norden Londons hervor. Phaze und Stone Lady. Ursprünglich verließen Nick Brent, Dave (MEX) Higgen (Stone Lady) und Marc und Steve Grainger (Phaze) Mex die Band, um eine andere Richtung einzuschlagen und das Octave Studio und die PA Company in Nordlondon zu gründen. Dave Robertson stieß dazu und Apocalypse wurden gegründet. Ironischerweise war es Dave (Mex) Higgen, der die Band APOCALYPSE nannte. Es dauerte zwei Jahre, bis die Band ihre einzige Single "Stormchild" für Gate Records veröffentlichte. Nach kleineren personellen Problemen mit einer anderen Band gleichen Namens änderte die Band ihren Namen in Omega und nahm die Nummer "Blood Sacrifice" für die eher obskure "Metal Warriors"-Compilation von Ebony auf (erschienen 1983). "The Prophet" wurde ursprünglich 1985 auf Rock Machine (im Grunde eine Unterabteilung des Punk-Labels Razor Records) veröffentlicht. Die Besetzung bestand aus Dave Robertson (Bass, Gesang), Nick Brent (Gitarren, Gesang), Steve Grainger (Leadgitarren, Keyboards, Gesang) und Graham Roberts (Schlagzeug). Die High Roller Wiederveröffentlichung des Albums kommt mit neuem, hochwertigem Cover-Artwork. Die CD-Ausgabe enthält unveröffentlichte Demoaufnahmen von "Summertime", "Heat of the Night", "Abandon Hope", "Blood Sacrifice" und "The Child" als exklusives Bonusmaterial.
