Two-Piers präsentiert die nächste Killer-Compilation: "Weird Scenes From The Hangout (Psychedelic & Freakbeat Dancefloor Anthems 1967-1982)", kuratiert von Richard Norris (The Grid, Beyond The Wizard's Sleeve, The Time And Space Machine) und zentriert um seine Liverpooler Clubnacht "The Hangout" in den 1980ern. Dort brachten er und weitere DJs bewusstseinsverändernden Wahnsinn aus Psychedelia und Freakbeat auf die Tanzfläche. Herausragende Songs wie "The Left Banke - I've Got Something On My Mind", "The Turtles - Buzzsaw" oder "Can - Outside Your Door" wurden zu echten Hangout-Hymnen. Man widmete der eher trendy Ausbeute der Spät-Sechziger ebenso viel Zeit wie angesagten Acts, solange der Groove auf dem Dancefloor funktionierte. Das Hangout kam und ging im Nu, aber sein Erbe, psychedelische Fußstampfer auf die Fläche zu bringen, lebt weiter, gemeinsam mit der Liebe zu allem, was mit Beat und Freak zu tun hat.

Our favourite Colombian of all time is by far Felipe Gordon. His individual (and jazzy) take on house music and beyond has given him a big following within the underground dance community. We reached out to Felipe and asked him if he wanted to do a release on GAMM with only one request..."do whatever you want".

The music we got sent back is a beautiful four-track EP that delivers all aspects of Felipe Gordon's unique take on dance music.

The main track 'Self Love' is a warm and intimate jazz excursion that also plays around with some quirky electronic ideas...feel good with a twist. The second jam 'The Punk Automata' got a more bumpy and driving rhythm and has a slightly stronger club play appeal.
On the third track 'Your Feelings' we go darker with a proper late-hours deep house jam...proper!
On the final track, Felipe teams up with Bob The Egoist (great name) for a deep and musical vocal jam entitled 'Please Don't Go'.

Don't forget about the amazing artwork supplied by our favourite Scotsman, Mr Al Kent. This man truly has the magic feel when it comes to creating authentic vinyl designs.

Tried and tested at our recent road block parties in Manchester, these edits shine a light on four primo-grade Italo face melters. Fervently excavated by Bosco over countless visits to Bel Paese and streamlined for the hydrofoil, with some extra added calories for the club.

Opener 'Destiny' tweaks and shudders under analogue arpeggios, dazzling Strat chops and cosmic bass interplay before dropping into a simply glorious female vocal that, thankfully, gets plenty of airtime before Bosco calls close. A track so close to perfection we had to make it longer.
'Flavio', up next - and half sung in Italian so we only know a bit of what she's on about - is another supreme slice of Italo disco from the upper echelons that Bosco snaffled between glugs of Barolo and a face full of worm cheese. Sure to instigate group hugs, 4AM declarations of love, tears of happiness and huge pelvic thrusts dependant on environment and inebriation.

The tingles continue on side B with another supernova burning bright across the stars. 'Newsin' introduces itself with a joyous marriage of marimba and synth before yet another vocal proves Italians really do, do it better when it comes to writing some of the catchiest hooks and choruses in the universe.
'Lace', featuring the record's only male vocal appearance, has a romantic, proto-goth-new-wave vibe; like if Robert Smith and Richard Butler had a chem-sex love child after a wild night in Baia Degli Angeli.

Not sure who the woman in lace is, but we'd defo like to see her down The White Hotel one night...

Another formidable release by the mighty DJ Phantasy and the 15th repress we have done for Liquid Wax! How the hell did that happen so fast!?! And this is a classic, a total banger from back in the day which I am sure many of you will remember. The tracks were engineered by Alex Reece when he was assistant engineer to Jack Smooth at his Sound Entity Studios.

A Rocket to the Moon (ARTTM) was an American rock band signed to Pete Wentz and Patrick Stump's Fueled by Ramen imprint Decaydance. To celebrate the 15th anniversary of the band's RIAA gold-certified album On Your Side we will be releasing the album for the first time on vinyl. Es gibt mehr als eine Art, BEBORN BETONs neuntes Album "Darkness Falls Again" zu hören: Es lässt sich einfach nur tanzen und als zeitgenössische Synthie-Pop-Hymnen genießen, die musikalisch fest in den goldenen 80ern verankert sind - und mit einer Prise leckerer 90er-Einflüsse serviert werden. Eingängige Melodien und ausgereiftes Songwriting verbinden sich zu einer klanglichen Spritztour. Doch BEBORN BETON legen ihren Finger auch auf den Puls unserer Zeit. Das Trio spricht sich lyrisch klar gegen Frauenfeindlichkeit, sexuelle Diskriminierung und Umweltzerstörung aus. BEBORN BETON wurden 1989 von Sänger Stefan Netschio, Keyboarder und Schlagzeuger Stefan Tillmann sowie Keyboarder Michael Wagner gegründet. Nachdem die Band "Tales from Another World" (2002) vorgelegt hatte, worauf sie unter anderem eine ausgedehnte Konzertreise quer durch die USA absolvierte, legten BEBORN BETON eine längere Pause ein. Erst 13 Jahre später kehrten BEBORN BETON zur großen Freude und Überraschung ihrer immer noch zahlreichen Anhängerschaft mit einem neuen Album auf Dependent Records zurück. "A Worthy Compensation" (2015) wurde von allen einschlägigen Magazinen wie Sonic Seducer und Orkus mit Lob überschüttet. Da BEBORN BETON nicht in einen unerbittlichen Produktionszyklus zurückfallen wollten, nahm sich das Trio genügend Zeit, um ein weiteres Meisterwerk zu komponieren. "Darkness Falls Again" hat all die köstlichen Zutaten, die Synth-Pop so großartig machen: Eingängige Songs, die die Beine zucken lassen. Eine Prise Melancholie. Eine Dosis Ironie. Aber auch eine Messerspitze Wut. BEBORN BETON haben mit ihrem letzten Album wieder Musik mit Aussagen und Verstand abgeliefert, was sich auf der EP "To the Stars" nahtlos fortsetzt. Haunted is the debut album by American death metal band Six Feet Under. It was released via Metal Blade Records in 1995, just before Chris Barnes'departure from Cannibal Corpse.

December 2001, Maida Vale: Bill Callahan"s "Smog" perform with demonstrative zeal for their British witness at the BBC, shimmering and hissing with a Lynchian vibe of U.S. darkness in the invariable shadows of the fallen towers. Callahan & band (Jessica Billey, Mike Saenz and Jim White) cover Stevie Nicks, Lou Reed and Smog with grey, ashen resolve and tour-torn flexibility, amassing a bruised, plaintive essence of humanity with their efforts.

Das Trio aus Zaragoza liefert auf 'Fear The Apparation' 8 klassische, nach Gruft stinkende, mächtige Death Metal Songs mit leichter Thrash Metal Note. Wenn Du Bands magst wie wie Skeletal Remains, Sadistic Intent, Morgoth oder Pestilence, dann wirst Du beim Hören von 'Fear The Apparition' Freudentränen vergiessen. Das Artwork wurde gezeichnet von Markus Vesper (Denial Of God, Attic, Manilla Road..etc.). Die meisten Teile des Albums wurden von der Band selbst aufgenommen, nur für das Drumrecording begab man sich in die Moontower Studios. Dort wurde letztendlich auch durch Javi Felez komplett gemixt und gemastert.
