GASTEROPODES KILLERS présente Poison Ideas son nouvel album aux sonorités punk-rock-ska. Nos Escargots Tueurs se sont formés il y a 33 ans en Seine St Denis, avant de ramper, lentement mais sûre-ment, jusqu’en Charente sans bave ni lé-zard !
Amateurs de punk-rock, de hardcore et de ska, ils revendiquent haut et fort leurs influences : Clash, Parabellum, Mano Negra, Bérurier Noir, Garçons Bouchers, Wampas, La Souris Déglinguée, Madness, Bad Manners, Specials, Total Chaos, Exploited, Agnostic Front et autres Poison Idea.
Ces Assassins à Coquille se composent de Nath (chant & basse), de Droopy (chant & guitare), de Drunk (choeurs & guitare) et de Boul (batterie & chant). Chacun puise dans l’actualité, son quotidien, ses expériences personnelles ou dans le cinéma pour produire chansons et musiques tranchantes. Et puis, si le dessinateur Chester assure la pochette, alors l’humour est aussi de mise.
Attention, nos Colimaçons Criminels n’en sont pas à leur première sortie discographique et connaissent le « Do It Yourself » sur le bout de la langue. Maîtres dans l’art de la reptation et en totale indépendance, les GASTEROPODES KILLERS ont enregistré et mixé ce neuvième album dans leur studio La Coquille 2.

C’est le retour des Mollusques Terrestres Meurtriers, il est temps de relever vos antennes et de prendre la coquille en marche !!!

Erste Gesamtausgabe als Deluxeausgabe: 4xLPs in einem geprägten Gatefold-Cover, gestaltet von Stephen O'Malley, mit einem 30 x 90 cm großen Poster. "Divine Comedie" ist ein Opus Magnum, geschaffen von zwei der führenden Komponisten ihrer Zeit, mit einem musikalischen Anspruch, der Dantes Gedicht und seiner visuellen Interpretation durch Sandro Botticelli oder Gustave Doré gleicht. Lange Zeit wurde dieses Triptychon als ein zweiseitiges Werk präsentiert, in dem Bernard Parmegianis Hölle und François Bayles Fegefeuer aufeinander reagierten und sich gegenseitig erweiterten. Michel Hermons Stimme führt durch die Vorstellungskraft des Zuhörers. Erstmals wird "Paradise", ein gemischtes Stück, das gemeinsam komponiert und live aufgeführt wurde, auf Tonträger veröffentlicht. Tatsächlich wird "Paradise" fünfzig Jahre nach seiner Uraufführung für unsere Ohren enthüllt und wertet damit die erste Gesamtausgabe von "Divine Comedie" auf. - François J. Bonnet, Paris, 2023

Die französische Avant-Rock-Band Aquaserge ließ schon immer Genregrenzen verschwimmen. Für die Ausgabe 46 der "Made To Measure"-Reihe widmet sie sich auf The Possibility Of A New Work For Aquaserge der zeitgenössischen klassischen Musik ab Mitte des 20. Jahrhunderts: Giacinto Scelsi (1905-1988), György Ligeti (1923-2006), Edgard Varèse (1883-1965) und Morton Feldman (1926-1987). Inspiriert von den unterschiedlichen Ansätzen der vier Komponisten in puncto Dynamik, Klangtextur und Länge der Stücke oder genauer gesagt, Scelsis Forschung über Klangfarbe und Schwingungen, Ligetis Cluster, Varèses melodischer Kubismus und Feldmans graphische Notation, ging die Band das Album intuitiv wie auch methodisch in einem auf neun Musiker*innen erweiterten Line-Up an. Das Album enthält zum einen drei langsame, ausgedehnt-weitläufige Stücke, in denen die Klangfarben der Instrumente miteinander zu einer klanglichen Materie verschmelzen. Diese Materie ist gleichzeitig immobil und mobil, wie in einigen Ligeti- oder Scelsi-Werken. Dagegen enthalten die Hommagen der Band an Varèse und Feldman Momente des Ausbruchs und wilder Improvisation. Diese von Aquaserge geschriebenen Kompositionen, werden mit raren Stücken von Edgard Varèse, eines davon auf Basis eines Gedichts von Verlaine. sowie von Morton Feldman mit einem Rilke-Text komplettiert, und zeigen das Gespür der Band für Melodien.

Thanks to this strange period of lockdown and concerts cancellation,
Voyou took the opportunity to complete a project that was close to his
heart, around his favorite instrument: the trumpet.

Throughout seven (almost) instrumental tracks, he proclaims his love for
music, for all music - jazz, hip-hop, world - and mixes sounds and
influences, like the spirit of adventure of François de Roubaix, one of
his idols. On these «Chroniques terrestres», the trumpeter walks with his nose in
the air, his hair in the wind and his head in the clouds. This album,
Voyou conceived it as a playground, a space of freedom, for him as for
the listener who will be able to close his eyes and see a thousand and
one images.

And when he invites the Armenian singer Zahklin, escaped from her band
Ladaniva on «Malika», it is to better surprise on a song that borrows as
much from the sounds of Mulatu Astatke as from the visions of Madlib.

In addition to his songs and his brilliant and noisy debut album “Les
bruits de la ville”, Thibaud Vanhooland indulges himself with
“Chroniques terrestres” a calm time and takes side tracks. His trumpet
seems to blow a wind of freedom, one that will surely infuse the
continuation of Voyou’s beautiful musical adventure.

After his well acclaimed soundtrack lp on Hivern Discs,Brussels based producer Lawrence Le Doux is returning to homebase Vlek for his next offering. And what a project it has become: Le Doux, heads first, dived deep into the Belgian national history of electronic music, and came up with a   sampler covering the various fields the Belgians have explored over the last 30 years.  
From digi dub over simple drum computer house to one­man industrial cassettes: 'Host' has it all." 
Lawrence Le Doux opened for   Matias Aguayo in one of Brussels' major venues: Ancienne Belgique earlier this year.

VLEK designer Dimitri Runkkarri's take on the analog type press / glass printing process: With Lawrence Le Doux, from the beginning (with "Terrestre", 2014) we used different materials to print out the sleeves. We used cork, overlapping letters, plastic cross for wall carving.
This time, I had some glass left at the workshop. We wanted to try. We broke it on the press then printed it with all the texture, scratch, accidents caused by the pressure of the press..."
