Now, as it was perceivable by the trajectory undertaken by after his previous LP, Captive Youth leaves goth rock and dark folk aside and head swiftly towards some old school 80’s EBM & 90’s Industrial dance vibe. After all, any album exploring themes of dystopia, politics and sexuality requires a strong rhythm. So how could this new chapter not mention seminal synth-pop and body music classics such as Technique by New Order, Belief by Nitzer Ebb, Towards Thee Infinite Beat by Psychic TV and Pressure Points by Anne Clark?

Forever a displaced soul, Charles’ album number three feels like a revision of Crush Of Souls and also a reanimation of his captive youth spent moving from town to town. The energy of the wandering worker poet. Warehouse basslines, artillery fire backbeats. Romance and melancholy wrapped in barbed wire. Our musical paths have crossed back and forth over the years and we have always shared a lot of the same values- steadily putting out quality music, that stands the test of time - growing consistently - never stop following our very own way - always not-following trends forever..
Frank & Tony is the collaborative guise of Scissor & Thread co-founders Francis Harris and Anthony Collins aka Grant. Both have long been staples of the underground with material under their own names and numerous other guises shaping the musical landscape of House Techno and beyond since the turn of the millennium. Both lived together in New York and as Frank & Tony the pair have delivered multiple albums and many EP’s on their own label, Tokyo’s Mule Musiq and Pacific Rhythm- now they are warmly welcomed onto the Smallville Records roster with their latest collection of works.
‘Ways Of Mine’ leads on the A-Side and showcases the pairs signature deep hypnotic house style via soft billowing pads cascading metallic chimes psychedelic spoken word and dreamy dubbed out keys floating atop a robust bouncy rhythm
section.To open the flip-side title-track ‘After All’ lays down a subtly blooming chord sequence shuffled drums and bumpy bass stabs at its core all subtly nuanced while the latter half introduces more dynamic rhythmic elements and intertwined melodic touches. ‘Dimension’ then concludes the release diving deeper with saturated ethereal pads and bubbling resonant arpeggio lines alongside heavily swung crisp drums jazzy keys and delayed vocal chants.

Creating an international name for itself over the past decade as a sample pack label, Samples From Mars made its inevitable venture into the music world originally as a home for founder Teddy Stuart’s work. Long before making samples, Stuart garnered credits working as a grammy-nominated recording engineer in the hip hop world, and DJing / producing with Justin Strauss as A/JUS/TED, for labels such as DFA, Domino Records and Southern Fried Records. Now the label is set to release a variety of genres - house, disco, techno, ambient, all with a vintage tinge and a focus on high quality, analog production.

Enter Salt Queen. Visual artist and musician Magali van Caloen together with Samples From Mars founder, Teddy Stuart. Based in New York, the duo combine hardware dance aesthetics with dry, salty takes on familiar club moments into music that sits somewhere between funny, raw and unpredictable.

Salt Queen’s debut ‘ARE U OK’ is an acid-laced, deadpan spoken word track with an opening line that snaps any room to attention. A disorienting club encounter unfolds over Italo-inflected 808s and a relentless 303 bassline. There are no chords and no melodies - just a skeletal groove and an intimate voice circling the dancefloor. Drifting between concern and provocation, the vocal runs through cliché club conversations before destabilizing completely into a siren-laden crash out. The ‘Freak Nasty Club Mix’ ditches the plot and lets the hardware breathe, with a thick SH-101 bassline anchoring the first half before a sudden switch into an unrelenting acid pattern that refuses to settle. Two versions of the same wild night out.

Through her compositions, Oonagh Haines explores nocturnal atmospheres where contemporary electronic music, underground aesthetics and deconstructed pop forms intersect.

Her music is built on a play of opposites: a modified voice performs its antipodal double, while avant-garde techno and sentimentalism coexist, carried by a certain nonchalance and a restrained posture that is not without recalling Anika.

Not Not Pretending is her first album. It will be released by moli del tro on 24 April 2026.

Nicolás Mirón presents Hi-Tech Thoughts, his debut release on Echo Alpha Recordings. A record that draws inspiration from Detroit Techno, as well as New York Hip-Hop and MPC culture, reflected in the way he works with samples and programs chops on his AKAI MPC 2500. His production focuses on beat-making, pursuing a raw, hardware-driven sound rather than an overproduced one.

Nico’s creative foundation is rooted in Black music in all its forms, from soul and jazz to electronic sounds, while also embracing the legacy of figures like Kraftwerk, and genres such as Italo Disco, and New Wave. His musical career began with his residency at Radio Relativa in 2022, with his program “Pa’ Riparla Benne”, a connection between skateboarding and music, as well as its evolution and close relationship with contemporary culture. In the show you can hear different styles of music that have appeared within this scene through legendary video parts from skateboarding history, along with stories and curiosities behind these pieces of art.

Libertine Records returns with Traditions 22: NOVA EXPREXX – UNDERGROUND REVENGE

After a break, Libertine Records presents a new chapter in its Traditions series. NOVA EXPREXX – UNDERGROUND REVENGE delivers a fierce and uncompromising blend of techno, new beat, acid, and tribe sounds, crafted for night wanderers and those who live beyond conventional paths.

The release captures the raw energy and spirit of the underground, offering relentless beats, hypnotic rhythms, and a soundscape that resonates with true fans of cutting-edge electronic music.

UNDERGROUND REVENGE is a statement of intent from Libertine Records — a label known for pushing the boundaries of electronic music and celebrating the underground scene.

Ovatow made quite a stir when he first started dropping deep dubs on his mysterious MySpace page (the main social media at the time). The tracks on the little crappy audio player got hunted down by a flock of DJ's and label heads. From behind a curtain of anonymity he soon started releasing his material on various labels, becoming cult classics in the dub-techno world. It was 2007 when X-dub first appeared on the Dutch imprint SD Records, followed up by his classic release on Frantic Flowers and a string of other projects while keeping his identity secret to everyone. Years later, the rumors proved true... the artist behind these mysterious projects was non other than the Frantic Flowers / Frustrated Funk label head himself. Just testing the waters around him, receiving release offers from close friends and colleagues while he kept his anonymity up. A fun little joke for himself, though the tracks are still relevant and sought after classics today. Both X-dub versions re-appear now, for the first time after almost 20 years, fully retouched and remastered, together with an unknown unreleased jam called Autistic Navigational Spectrum. This is the first in a series of Ovatow work, revived for the heads that appreciate the foggy deep of the Undacurrnt.

Should you happen to have been paying attention to progressive house and trance in the mid 1990s, you may well be familiar with Brendan McCarthy's most celebrated release as Aquartherium, 1994's Full Moon EP. It was a massive record across Europe but also found favour in San Francisco's freewheeling free party scene. 'Full Moon' itself is especially potent - an all-action chunk of hallucinatory progressive house/trance fusion full of star-burst synth motifs, bubbly electronics and ambient techno sonics - though the heavier, bleep-sporting, Brown Album-era Orbital flex of 'Luci In Deep Hypnosis' is just as good.

Polished and forward-looking even 40-odd years on from its initial release, Bourbon Suite captures Japanese female keyboard trio Cosmos at a time when fusion leaned into pop accessibility without losing technical finesse. Built around layered keys and crisp studio musicianship, the album moves with a sleek, late-night feel. 'Midnight Shuffle' stands out for reworking earlier material into a smoother, instrumental-led groove, while 'Cosmic Cosmos' drifts into more spacey territory and is driven by elastic bass and shimmering synth lines. There's a clarity to the arrangements that keeps things light on their feet and means this remains a refined example of early 80s crossover fusion.

Kanyon (John) is a NYC based producer/dj who has cut his teeth in the underground US techno scene through raw live sets, and dynamic djing. Keeping the quality high with his signature no-bs style of production and performing, he has played live supporting legends like Steve Poindexter, DJ Hyperactive, and Francois K. His productions have garnered support from Ben Sims, Akua, Ron Like Hell, Kush Jones and many others.

The Duplex EP is a split record featuring John's house alias DJ John Brooklyn on the A side (A1, A2, locked groove) & techno alias Kanyon on the B side (B1, B2). Exploring NY house and trippy, dubby minimal techno respectively, Duplex EP is a heady start to 2026.

This release represents the musical union of two friends who, despite the distance, have always found in music the place where they stay close. This EP is the proof that when the connection is real, sound becomes common ground - a space to share moments, ideas, and energy beyond geography.

Both artists have been devoted to physical formats from the very beginning, especially vinyl. They have always been record collectors, and that passion shapes the intention behind this project: a work conceived with the depth, respect, and materiality that only vinyl can convey. This EP is more than music; it is a cultural object that preserves a way of understanding techno.

Creatively, Truncate and Pushmann set out to merge their sonic identities. Chris Liberator & Sterling Moss have produced some classics of the Acid Techno genre and now hope to add to that roster with this their first LP 'Culture Of Acid' on the seminal Stay Up Forever label. 8 banging tracks covering a multitude of Acid Techno/Techno styles including their collaboration with punk performing arts legend Doghouse on 'The Freaks' which has already been causing havoc on underground dancefloors.

FUSE11 - Rosati - Divina Nostalgia

For Fuse Imprint's eleventh release and the first of 2026, Rosati unveils 'Divina Nostalgia', an ode to vibrancy in dance music through four truly euphoric tracks. The Italian artist focuses on the enduring power of vintage production with a much-needed spotlight on techno's optimistic underbelly, resulting in a sound that is both charismatic and electrifying.

'Division' sets the tone of the EP with playful percussion and bright synth work that unravels as the track progresses. Rosati utilizes the full character of the 909 for the flair that drives the record: rides, claps, and open hi-hats thunder through the arrangement in celebration of each transition. The artist then zeros in on 'Echoes', tightening the energy with an unflinchingly analog bassline and lush pads that round out the harsher edges of the percussion. This serves as a more linear approach for immediate effect; where the track favors minimalism, it provides maximum impact.

Gradually turning up the energy, 'Orbital' jumps through toms and filtered chord stabs to emphasize the record's extroverted nature. The synths dazzle along the rolling drums for a track that possesses house's temperament but techno's insistence. The A-side features one original track from each artist, clearly defining their individual styles.

Collecting Orders For 2026 Repress

As Soul Capsule, Baby Ford and Thomas Melchior made some of minimal techno's most accomplished records. It has been many years since they stopped turning out new material - sadly - but their archive tracks are still in hot demand and undeniably relevant. While 1999's 'Lady Science' might be their most famous offering, this EP from 2001 on Aspect Music is no less vital and it will currently cost you well over L250 on second-hand markets. It is Ford's Trelik label who reissues it here in all its glory: the entirety of the a-side is taken up with 'Law Of Grace,' a delightfully deep and breezy minimal dub house roller with pensive chords draped over the frictionless drums. 'Meltdown' has a more experimental feel with brushed metal drums beneath a wordless vocal musing. The cult 'Lady Science' (Tek Mix) is also inched with the whole package being remastered by D&M to make this one utterly essential.

Minor Notes continues to explore and open up the world of Russia's underground electronic scene. The new vinyl release is a collection of original works by the highly experienced Kaluga-based music producer Chivee Gres. The record perfectly showcases the sound of Deep House and Jackin, showcasing Nikita's subtle sampling, masterful arrangement, and deep knowledge of production techniques. This music is made for the dancefloor: Side A is the perfect companion to any warmap, while Side B will brighten up primetime with its bouncy sound.

A rising artist of the French electronic scene, Naajet asserts her identity with The Night Starts Now, a four-track EP that celebrates the freedom and intensity of the night. Co-founder of the Bande de Filles collective and known for her explosive universe blending House, Hardgroove and Breaks, as well as for the unique energy inherited from her dance background, Naajet delivers here a sonic manifesto conceived as an ode to club culture and to the present moment.

“I imagined this EP as an anthem to the world of the night. The night offers us unparalleled freedom, an outlet that allows us to be ourselves, to create, to love. The Night Starts Now captures this celebration of the present moment and this declaration of independence.” Naajet Opening the EP, “Ready To Shine” unfolds radiant House nourished by Pop and 90’s sounds. With a clear and ascending rhythm, the track combines euphoria and introspection. “I composed this track as a joyful and introspective journey that prepares us to embrace the night. For me, it is a call to accept our wounds, to transform them into light and strength, so that we may shine brighter when we enter the club,” explains Naajet. Between ethereal vocal lines and shimmering pads, the track acts as a ritual of entering the night, inviting us to turn wounds into strength and to shine on the dancefloor. The second track of the EP, “Sugar”, embodies the effervescence of the club. Carried by a hypnotic voice and an effervescent rhythm, the track celebrates the communion of bodies and the liberating energy of dance. “It is an ode to dance and to bodies coming together. This track speaks of those moments when, on the dancefloor, boundaries fall: we sweat together, we free ourselves together, and energy flows from one body to another,” says Naajet. A true concentrate of intensity, “Sugar” captures the moment when sweat, rhythm and abandon merge into a collective movement towards freedom.

With “I Can Be Anything”, Naajet changes register and flirts with deeper, even techno textures. Built on a throbbing pulse and sharp synths, this track is meant as a manifesto of identity. “I really wanted to propose a track that claims our right to free and plural expression and sexuality. I Can Be Anything is about our multiple identities, our ability to reinvent ourselves and to refuse any form of formatting,” she says. Between club intensity and political resonance, “I Can Be Anything” questions our multiple facets and embodies the assertion of an elusive and free self. Closing the EP on an euphoric note, “May It Never End” stands out with its broken rhythms and powerful synths. The track conveys the transcendent energy of the end of the night, when dawn arrives but we refuse to leave the collective trance. “I wanted to put into music this feeling of infinite energy, when time is suspended and the party seems to never have to stop. It is this euphoric vertigo that connects us all in the same breath, this utopia of a night that would never end,” says Naajet. A true apotheosis, this track embodies the utopia of an eternal night.

DJ, producer and co-founder of the Bande de Filles collective, Naajet has established herself with a singular universe where House, Hardgroove and Breaks blend, nourished by her background as a dancer and an instinctive sense of groove. For the past three years, she has performed on French and European stages – from Berlin to Amsterdam, via Geneva and Oslo – and has made her mark in clubs such as Rex Club, Le Sucre and Badaboum, as well as festivals like Nuits Sonores and Kolorz. On the production side, she has released several acclaimed EPs on renowned labels such as Shall Not Fade and Monki & Friends. In 2025, she takes a new step with the launch of her label SWEAT Records and a residency at Le Sacré in Paris, affirming her role as an ambassador of a free and intense club culture. She also collaborates with the waacking company MADOKI, for which she composes and mixes projects at the crossroads of dance and music. The Goblin Walk is an invitation to trace the footsteps of the eponymous creature through five swampy, dubby, liquid techno interpretations from four different artists. Label head Caldera opens with the gently underlapping space chug of 'Today', followed by Traevor's 'Reef' which turns marimba into a dubbed-out bass meditation. Caldera then features again under his Loop LF alias with 'Tiz', which pairs spectral sonic sketches with whimsical melodies that drift and float as if in a gravity-free zone. Streetfaxx then unearths a long-lost 2013 Cologne track, its patient rhythmic progression untouched by the passing years, before ambient textures take centre stage in Nightwaif's 'Xmas1 (vocal dub)' as tape experiments float over deep sub-bass, caught somewhere between 1980s new age and modern ambient minimalism. A compelling, exploratory world of sound.

The Libra LP finds DJ Dex searching for the perfect balance on the dancefloor. "Freeks N' Geeks" is a shameless party anthem asking dancers to get their geek and their freak on with stomping kick drums, percussion, acid funk, and hands-in-the-air horns. "Papa Was a 909" reinvents a classic Motown anthem via a relentless 909 drum machine workout. "Hoodrat" pays homage to Detroit minimalism and Chicago jack—doubles are essential for the creative DJ. "The Balance" merges an 808 kit with clever percussion, melodic chords, and sci-fi synths for a tense, building track ready for peak-time action. "Casa Oscura" takes equal inspiration from hi-NRG disco tracks and the funkiest aquatic synths of Drexciya for a vibe entirely its own. "Astrological" is the LP's polyrhythmic, thumping, big-room techno cut where cascading synth lines meet atmospheric pads and vocal samples.

For Neuma’s fourth release, Rotciv—Brazilian-born and Berlin-based—presents a five- track EP that shifts from EBM and deeper, low-tempo moods to wavy techno-electro and trance-touched peak-time energy, offering a versatile journey for every moment in the club.

Squares have been throwing intimate parties through the London underground for the last several years. A2 welcomes Terraflow with “Clip”, showcasing his excellent take on proggy trance influences and infectious rhythms. The flipside starts with Oho’s “Wicked”, a pumping, dubby techno roller. Finally, on the B2 is Roto with “Stormrider” which has hard hitting drums and a bassline full of attitude.

As Poorly Knit completes it's first arc of the Sun, it's children become four, as a new mini LP is born.

Tending to his crop with dreams of rotation, Bruce sows and scythes four new grains in the porky mill. Of this strange fruit, that further explores his increasingly familiar, hyper-real and sonically surreal work within this current “movement,” he finds his foothold once more in a wild world intensity: fear and fury grappled in equal measure.

What's more, in celebration of the plentiful harvest thus far, (let alone in the interest of seed diversity), Bruce invites four fellow reapers to the farm, offering their recipe from the spoils of the label's yield:

Vancouver based Brit-abroad, dj_2button pulls apart 'The Hand,' with his 'Accidental Mood Mix,' to be reborn as an Odyssian 13 minute stomper: "a fight of emotions, of light and dark; in quiet protest to the incessant fear mongering that slowly numbs us on a global scale." Balearic shores can be seen glimmering in the distance, whilst you are dragged by part man part (very horny) bull into the depths of dancefloor madness.

re:ni proves she is the captain of her own ship as sweet SSRI numbness billows in the sheets and fraying, dubwise halyards tether and tear through her devilishly elegant 'sertraline queen mix'. polyrhythms plotted and percussion plundered; the vocal from 'Golden Water Queen' sounds oh so sweet in the claws of its new Regina.

Hotly titted deep house reviver, fka boursin empties clips with their bubblegum 'boomkat mix,' of 'The Price,' swivelling the original's brash and bawdy bonce, to face a 120 reality we all need to wake up and start sniffing. Sprinkled with trauma on an icing of a bassline more than a little rood, boursin is packing enough cake for the whole function to take home in (dreadful) goody bags (and even allowed compression in the mastering - mental).

Last and indubitably not least, from lying somewhat dormant in the depths of UK dance music legend, none other than flippin' Untold (!?) rises to seal the release with typically megalithic prowess. Proving he was just resting his eyes for a bit, his 'A1 Mirabelle Mix,' weaves and whips an otherworldly beauty, technically tantalising 'Dham's Jam' in adornments both sour and sweet. It's nothing short of a cloaks and daggers banger, primed for the darkest of dancefloor cosmic moments, and serving as a little less-than-warm-reminder that Untold’s presence in the world of dance music is crucial as ever.

Frankly, if you couldn't tell from all the verbose waffle, they have all absolutely smashed and finessed it: they were all approached after expressing a real resonance from the previous releases and it's such an honour to have them and their fantastic visions on the label.

James Ruskin's Blueprint Records celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2026. Kicking off the festivities Vinicius Honorio returns to the label but this time it's alongside R.M.K who makes his Blueprint debut.

Vinicius Honorio is a Brazilian-born, London-based DJ and producer whose vision of techno is built on hypnotic repetition, gritty textures and emotional weight. With a career spanning over 2 decades, Vinicius has emerged as a powerful voice in contemporary techno - raw, focused and unflinchingly honest. His productions blend relentless drive with intricate groove, often laced with haunting melodic undertones and has released music on the likes of Figure, Token, Mord andSK_eleven, as well as Blueprint.

Hailing from London, R.M.K is the alias of Fossil Archive label head Roberto, representing a faster and more intense take on his unique brand of Techno. During his 20+ year career in music, he has formed friendships and worked in partnership with other respected artists such as Trevino (Marcus Intalex), Jamie Anderson, Robert Owens, Goldie and Nastia. Although the focus is always on the very heart of the most raucous of raves, R.M.K never shies away from groove and funk

Finnish dub-techno craftsman TM Shuffle, head of Vuo Records, resurfaces with a deep and distilled EP that goes straight for the late-night heart of the dancefloor. Rooted in Tampere’s raw, analog dub sound, his productions have long balanced weight and warmth, smoked-out chords, rolling low-end and subtle shuffle that keeps the groove in constant motion.
The lead track “Kellari” dives into basement mode: pressure-cooker drums, slow-burning stabs and a humid, lived-in atmosphere that feels equally at home on a huge system or in headphones at 4 a.m. On the second original cut, TM Shuffle links up once again with long-time collaborator Monoder, the alias of Jussi-Pekka Parikka, known for his dubbed-out explorations on labels like Statik Entertainment and Pakkas-Levyt since the early 2000s. Their joint track stretches time, letting echo, tape hiss and distant melodic fragments float around a rock-solid groove, channelling years of shared studio language into one focused, hypnotic flow.
On the flip, Anton Kubikov (SCSI-9) steps in with a lush reinterpretation of Kellari. A true Russian techno veteran with a catalog that spans Kompakt, Force Tracks, Mayak and beyond, Kubikov melts the original into a widescreen, dream-state trip, soft-focus pads, gentle yet insistent percussion and that unmistakable rolling pulse that made his work so enduring. The remix doesn’t just extend the track; it opens a new dimension, turning the basement pressure into a slow-rising, celestial drift.
Pressed on limited coloured vinyl, this EP is built for selectors who like their dub techno deep, human and timeless, a record that will quietly live in bags for years and keep resurfacing whenever the room calls for true late-night elevation.

Texas-based producer Declan James runs the VOIDWARE imprint and events, also listing music on labels such as Edit Select Records, Max Gardner's Peer, drxvo's Synergie, and Secus' Rituals amongst others. The Dallas native is making a significant contribution to the upcoming generation of American techno producers with both a domestic and international touring schedule.

Beginning with "Pendulums," a classic sci-fi trip with modular bleeps amidst a slinking, bouncing rhythm section for a perfect lesson in patience and restraint.

"Levitation" has an otherworldly feeling and floats along a sparse track of swirling drones, chugging bass pulses, and classy percussion taps for a mesmerising and introspective journey.

"Transmutate" throws down a stuttering kick drum, haunting tones, and bending modular notes for a grooving yet dystopian analogue concoction.

The final track "Absolved" sees a deep dive into details and dub influences. Where eerie rattles and precision production form a memorable dose of sizzling hot, futuristic, and fantastic techno.

Tomos is no stranger to reinvention. Over the years, his sonic explorations have spanned genres, yet one thread has remained constant—his deep-rooted connection to house music. His earliest co-releases under the alias Vanguard were high-energy French House cuts, built on the foundations of crate-digging and sample collage, channeling the spirit of Daft Punk and the wider French electronic movement.

Now, 15 years later, he returns to those techniques with a fresh perspective, releasing his latest EP Soul Feels Good through the esteemed Noire & Blanche.

Soul Feels Good isn’t just a nod to the past—it’s a showcase of the vast influences that drive his ever-evolving sound. Tomos weaves together an intricate patchwork, merging the meticulous sampling techniques of his early career with a broader, more mature musical palette. The result?
