'We're All Improvisers Now' is the debut solo album by New York/
Montreal-based performer Tommy Crane, a tranquil, introspective journey through boundary-traversing ambient jazz, buoyed by the creative elan of an artist in full experimentation mode.

Using sensory percussion and a battery of synthesisers, Crane creates a sequence of lucid sonic environments, where the real and synthetic meet, overlap and reappear disguised and opaque.The title's double meaning is immediately apparent; the album is an uncommon take on improvising from a performer incorporating ambient sensibilities and the title also accurately describes the situation many artists found themselves in amidst the pandemic. For Crane, the
pandemic provided a rare gift of time that allowed him to explore his love for electronic and analogue production.

"I don't think I will ever make a record like this again - this was one big
experiment," he says of a project with DIY trappings. After eventually returning from Italy where he was teaching drums and improv classes as Siena Jazz Institute, Crane settled in Montreal with his Canadian partner. At the beginning of the lockdown, he created a spaceship- like rig in his spare room comprised of assorted synths and 'sensory' percussion (which assigns new sounds to drums).

The album features welcome contributions from colleagues phoned in from afar, including saxophonists Logan Richardson and Charlotte Greve, guitarist Simon Angell and bassist Jordan Brooks.

Set in Hawaii, Presley's eleventh film Girls! Girls! Girls! featured the usual
combination of exotic locations, plenty of songs and Elvis in fightin' mood.
Released in 1962, it features the notable Return To Sender, Earth Boy,
Because of Love and the title track Girls! Girls! Girls! which was originally
penned by Leiber & Stoller for The Coasters in 1961. Side One includes
Where Do You Come From, which was not in the film but is included on
the soundtrack album. In 1993, the U.S. Mail issued its Elvis Stamp and
noticed that there was an increase in the number of letters it was obliged
to return... zealous fans of the 'King' had marked the correspondence

Earthly Measures' second vinyl release of the year sees them team up with the talented & mystical producer & multi-instrumentalist Sidirum - bringing you Balearic & Downtempo flavours from Argentina - sounds that haven’t always been associated with his style. An EP that fills you with euphoria & nostalgia, trying to find those sounds that can take you to another time just by listening to them - as he puts it, "rhythms from the past".

For Sidirum this release is about the beauty of chance. Samples that he has found from near & far over many years of producing finally find a home. 'Donde' in particular is a special track, he says "it is the track where I found my voice again. I have not used it in a song for almost 10 years." 'Ex-Plane' is heavily influenced by his love for Reggae, which runs throughout the whole track. 'Total Interior' is a perfect dance-floor ready track - with the help of multi-instrumentalist Pedro Alvide, the track builds a musical progression that dives into perfect sunset vibes with uplifting energy - ready for a peak time festival set.

After a number of other releases, 'Iris' is an EP where Sidirum feels that he has finally found himself again musically. In a way it's a summary of the places he’s been in the past, intertwined with his ideas in the present, making for a truly unique & pleasant listening experience.

First appearing on TV screens in September 1968, Joe 90 was a unique nine year old boy with the ability to absorb the brain patterns of top experts

enabling him to become the most special agent of W.I.N. (World Intelligence Network).

Whilst there are arguably better-known scores amongst Barry Gray's sublime catalogue of work with the Andersons, the composer's work for Joe 90 is in many ways

the most consistent and inventive selection he ever wrote. Developing a theme for the new series was always the musician's starting point, and for Joe 90, the pop charts breezed into Gray's studio,

with an opening tune featuring a genuine groove. Mixing Gray's inventive electronics with 60s "surf rock" guitars was an inspired decision.

It is no wonder that this piece has gone on to enjoy a second life as a Northern Soul disco floor-filler.

For episodic incidentals, Gray was freed from the detached unearthly premise of Captain Scarlet and able to bring back a playful sensibility

and a more mature musical palette which are amply illustrated in this 24 track collection.

‘Make The Call’ comes with an extended version and remixes from the legendary Two Soul Fusion duo of Louie Vega and Josh Milan. These remixes bring something new and special to the track with each creating a subtly different mood for the dance floor, for the radio and for the house party.

MF Robots is a songwriting, production and performing duo created by former Brand New Heavies founder Jan Kincaid and BNH vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Dawn Joseph. The pair left the Heavies in 2014 to record their own compositions and have been wowing audiences and record buyers with their effortless blending of Soul, RnB, Funk, Disco and Jazz ever since.

Louie Vega is one half of the House music dons Masters at Work and Josh Milan is a Grammy nominated vocalist, musician and composer who also collaborate in Vega’s collective ‘Elements of Life’. With both at the forefront of production, composition and remixing for more than three decades, the House, Boogie and Instrumental versions they have produced for ‘Make the Call’ are off the scale here.

Sophisticated, suave, and masterfully composed, this 45 is a sonic love letter to late 60s and early 70s soul, nodding to the giants of the genre and bowing to its unsung heroes. With inspiration from artists like The Moments, Baby Huey, The Delfonics, and especially the late Curtis Mayfield, this 7" is drenched in the era-defining tone that can only come from its origins on analog tape. From the first notes of the first track "Beck & Call", the songs shimmer and glow from one moment to the next like a summer's drive with the windows down, with a steady cruise anthem like "Daydreaming" floating by like a cool breeze. Friends since childhood, The Sextones are Mark Sexton (guitar, vocals), Alexander Korostinsky (bass), Daniel Weiss (drums), and Christopher Sexton (piano). Having known each other for so long, their musical chemistry is effortless and forms the foundation of the band's longevity and creative workflow. DeYarmond Edison war der Vorläufer von Bon Iver und Megafaun. Im Sommer 2005 verließen vier Freunde Wisconsin in Richtung North Carolina mit einem einzigen Ziel: der Folk-Rock-Flaute zu entkommen. Nostalgia's Glass" ist das elfte Studioalbum der aus Manchester stammenden und in Berlin lebenden Post-Punk-Kultband The Underground Youth, das am 18. August auf Fuzz Club erscheint. "Nostalgia's Glass wirft einen Blick zurück auf die Musik von The Underground Youth und formt neue Songs in einem Stil, der an die Vergangenheit der Band erinnert", schreibt Bandleader Craig Dyer: "Das Ziel war es, eine Sammlung von Songs zu schaffen, die unserem Backkatalog huldigen und versuchen, nicht nur die positiven, sondern auch die negativen Elemente der Nostalgie zu sezieren, vor allem die Romantisierung der Vergangenheit - sei es die Politik eines Landes, das kontroverse Vermächtnis von Film- und Musikikonen oder die sentimentale Idealisierung längst vergangener toxischer Beziehungen."The Underground Youth wurde 2008 als kreatives Projekt von Craig Dyer gegründet. Drummer and composer Tony Williams’ adventurous 1965 album Spring—his second as a leader for Blue Note—found him convening a stellar line-up with saxophonists Wayne Shorter and Sam Rivers, pianist Herbie Hancock, and bassist Gary Peacock. The five Williams originals presented here offer the musicians spacious realms in which to go exploring.

This Blue Note Classic Vinyl Edition is stereo, all-analog, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original master tapes, and pressed on 180g vinyl at Optimal.

10 years on from it's original release, we're very excited to make Reuben's third and final album available on vinyl for the first time ever.

The album was the first to be released on Reuben's self-run label, Hideous Records. On 29 March 2007.

Jamie Lenman noted that fans can expect "Long songs. Nice artwork and More funny long titles". In comparing INWT to its predecessor Very Fast Very Dangerous, the band expressed a clear preference for the new album, suggesting that it "feels more natural and raw sounding", with "more depth" compared to the "straightforward" sound of the 2005 album.

Gegründet von Sänger Jake E (ex-AMARANTHE) und Gitarrist Jesper Strömblad (ex-IN FLAMES), hat sich CYHRA von einer Band, die an die früheren Projekte des Duos erinnert, zu einer ganz eigenen Identität entwickelt.

Singer/Songwriter, Country, R&B und Bigband-Swing bringt Lyle Lovett auf seinem neuen Album ganz selbstverständlich unter einen Cowboy-Hut. In seiner langen Karriere als Musiker und Schauspieler hat er sich eh noch nie über Genre-Grenzen Gedanken gemacht. Auf seinem ersten Album seit über 10 Jahren, seinem Debüt bei Verve Records, mischt er Balladen aus eigener Feder mit swingenden Big-Band-Nummern, darunter bekannte Standards wie „Straighten Up And Fly Right“ und „Cookin‘ At The Continental“. Stage Fright is the third studio album by Canadian American group the Band, released on August 17, 1970. Engineered by Todd Rundgren and Glyn Johns, it features two of the group's best-known songs, "The Shape I'm In" and "Stage Fright", both of which showcased inspired lead vocal performances (by Richard Manuel and Rick Danko, respectively) and became staples in the group's live shows.

Steam Down have released an incredible new single ‘EMPOWER’, which is available now on Decca. It’s the first taste of the hugely influential London collective’s debut EP, ‘Five Fruit’, which will see a release on September 24th. After years of building a truly engaged community - and taking London’s melting-pot to the world’s stage - ‘EMPOWER’ marks a thrilling new musical chapter for Steam Down. Uplifting, urgent and emotive, the track affirms the power of the listener, the strength of collective hopefulness, and the textures of London’s inner-city subculture. Heller Tag is the debutalbum of Berlin-based jazz collective Conic Rose.

Hot on the heels of their highly acclaimed fifth album "Ask," the Turkish-psych band Altin Gün return with a two-song summer remix single. The two tracks feature the remixing talents of Altin Gün band members Jasper Verhulst (bass) and Chris Bruining (percussion). Both Verhulst and Bruining are always searching for new ways of (re) creating music and these remixes were one way to discover new paths in the music they fashion as part of Altin Gün. Kalk Gidelim is a cumbia driven remix, inspired by the cumbia villera of Argentina, while Su Siziyor is a digidub style remix with lots of King Tubby inspired reverbs and phasers. In the end this remix project is focused on fun. Something to help enhance the summer spirit.

Charlie Hunter’s 1995 Blue Note debut Bing Bing Bing! was a groove-heavy tour-de-force that announced the arrival of a virtuosic new guitarist on the scene. Hunter’s unique concept on his 8-string guitar allowed him to lay down a bass line and play chords as well as a melodic line at the same time, producing music that was at once impressive and irrepressible. With his powerful trio featuring tenor saxophonist Dave Ellis and drummer Jay Lane plus contributions from trombonist Jeff Cressman, Ben Goldberg, pedal steel guitarist David Phillips, and percussionist Scott Roberts, Hunter delivered a 10-song set of propulsive originals including “Greasy Granny” and “Fistful of Haggis” plus an unforgettable cover of Nirvana’s “Come As You Are.” Hunter would go on to record six more excellent albums for Blue Note, and also gain notice for playing on D’Angelo’s 2000 neo-soul masterpiece Voodoo.

The foreboding darkness that coated Ben’s second record I Forget Where We Were and thinly veiled its follow up Noonday Dream, isn’t so evident on Collections.. These are songs written from headlines scanned, or news stories scrolled past. Ben has taken those snippets and let his curiosity take control, creating an aural scrapbook that reverberates with tape loops and guitar FXs.

There are sounds akin to Brian Eno, Durutti Column and Steve Reich in there, but also Neil Young and Townes Van Zandt. It’s a million miles away from Ben’s multi-platinum selling debut, but a path plotted from Ben’s then to his now isn’t so far removed.



The door was also left open to some new players too. Yussef Dayes, one of the UK’s most innovative young drummer/producer’ especially in the field of jazz features, as does Kate Stables from This Is The Kit, James Krivchenia from Big Thief, Kyle Keegan from Hiss Golden Messenger, and the aforementioned Aaron Dessner lent his hand too where needed. Long-term guitarist to Ben’s band, Mickey Smith, remains a reassuring presence. Rob Moose, a long-standing arranger of strings for Bon Iver and a collaborator to Laura Marling, Blake Mills, and Phoebe Bridgers is also present, peppering the mix.

Factory Benelux presents a limited (500 copies only) 180g black vinyl edition of Part-Primitiv, the fifth studio album from post-punk trailblazers Section 25, originally released in 2007.

Recorded after a hiatus lasting almost two decades, Part-Primitiv saw founder members Larry and Vin Cassidy joined by former Tunnelvision guitarist Ian Butterworth, as well as multi-instrumentalist Roger Wikeley. U.K.-based artist and multi-platinum-selling singer/songwriter Calum Scott has announced that his highly awaited sophomore album Bridges will arrive on June 17. The follow-up to Calum’s 2018 full-length debut Only Human — a widely acclaimed effort that hit No. 1 on the iTunes album chart in 21 countries across the globe, in addition to selling more than 3.6 million in adjusted album sales and garnering over 7.5 billion combined streams. I Care 4 U is the first posthumous compilation album by the "Princess of R&B," Aaliyah. Following her tragic and untimely passing, Blackground Records released a posthumous record including songs from her studio albums and previously unreleased tracks and demos, as well as hit singles and recordings that ultimately did not land on any previous albums. The compilation album was a commercial success and debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 and was certified platinum. It features the previously unreleased "Miss You."
