Georgian artist and FACTION co-founder Uvall debuts on Conundrum Records with the Vertigo EP - a tightly crafted collection of four techno cuts built for the club.

With previous releases on WSNWG, FLOAT, INGUMA, OECUS, and CANTICLE, Uvall brings deep low-end pressure, precise percussion, and atmospheric tension across a versatile set. From driving grooves to slower, chugging rhythms, Vertigo delivers a dynamic snapshot of his evolving sound.

A record born of insurmountable joy and simultaneous profound loss; World Maker marks a time of great change for Psychonaut, both personally and musically, as the band burn away the philosophical narrative complexities of previous offerings with a searing, panoramic clarity that implores us to savour the beauty of the now as a means of leaving a legacy for the future. The traditional, three-piece line up of Belgian, psychedelic post-metal collective Psychonaut has long belied the compositional prowess, captivating narrative depth and crushing live presence of a band now operating at the forefront of forward-thinking, contemporary heavy music. Having sent a shockwave through the post-metal and prog scenes with their three times repressed Pelagic Records debut Unfold The God Man in 2020 before following it up with the transformative metaphysical complexities of 2022's Violate Consensus Reality, Psychonaut have played prestigious Belgian open-air festivals like Alcatraz, Rock Herk and Boomtown Festival as well as boutique events such as Soulcrusher, Roadburn Redux and A Colossal Weekend whilst sharing stages across Europe with the likes of Amenra, Brutus and Pelagic labelmates The Ocean and PG.Lost. The seed of World Maker took shape just as the campaign for Violate Consensus Reality came to a close, with the news that guitarist/vocalist Stefan De Graef was to become a father. This tilting of life's axis led De Graef, like most fathers-to-be, to re-assess what was really important. As such, the music he was inspired to write felt free of the band's previous philosophical and spiritual foundations and instead took the form of life lessons for his unborn son, a legacy of love in case something were ever to happen. This hopeful euphoria shines keenly throughout World Maker as an uncharacteristically optimistic warmth; from the reverberating Rhodes organ on the titular opening track and the meandering, free-jazz inspired guitar solo that introduces `Everything Else is Just The Weather' to elements of world music, electronica and the otherworldly voice of Dutch multi-instrumentalist and old friend Anthe Huybrechts (Anthe/Helion Creek) most notably on tracks like `Origins' which also features tabla, a pair of indian hand drums, as its propulsive heartbeat. Whilst Psychonaut's giant riffs, punishing polyrhythms and guttural vocal rage are more resplendent than ever, there is a wider dynamic spectrum to World Maker that sees the band proudly exploring their more delicate, intimate extremes as well as their most aggressive and abrasive. Not long after the birth of De Graef's son came the devastating news that both his own father and Psychonaut bassist/vocalist Thomas Michiels' father had been diagnosed with advanced cancers. Living day-to-day and torn between joy and grief, the band found themselves shedding the grand scope and world-shattering agenda of Violate Consensus Reality to focus on the here and now. Lead single `Endless Currents', the first full track on the album, explodes in a barrage of staccato guitar tapping but mellows to let the powerful, newly pared back lyrics ring out as a call to embrace the flow and follow joy. The song's final few words `Lead the way. / Soar. / Everlong.' double as both a greeting and a goodbye as the trio build their formidable post-metal might to a thunderous breaking point. Similarly, the pulsing, propellant `Stargazer', named so for De Graef's son being born in stargazer position, pairs delicate guitar motifs and folk-inflected optimism with huge and sprawling breakdowns as some of the band's most genre-pushing work to date; asking difficult but important questions of what happens next. It is `And You Came With Searing Light' though that most immediately exemplifies Psychonaut's redirected ambition on World Maker, as euphoria collides with blinding fury. The first track written for the album, `_Searing Light' is easily the most complex and initially wouldn't sound out of place on Violate Consensus Reality. Originally meant to be the new album's opening track; the decision to defer its impact, not to mention its compositional and dynamic gravity, speaks of a fundamental change to the band's very core. The words "Discover the world with wide eyes" recurring throughout speak as much to those having lost a part of their world as they do to those seeing it for the first time. Amidst such turbulent times, the band found strength and support within their Post-Metal community. The album was recorded and produced by the band alongside their longtime collaborator and close friend Chiaran Verheyden (Hippotraktor) with help and advice from Psychonaut's live engineer Victor, who will no doubt make this album sound just as awesome on stage. Even the artwork for World Maker was a family affair, being designed by close friend Sam Coussens of Belgian cosmic sludge metallers Pothamus. In the face of life's soaring highs and desolate lows, World Maker is direct and brave without sacrificing any of Psychonaut's raw power, creative innovation or inimitable musical depth. Where their previous full-length offerings have charted grand introspective courses through time and space, World Maker is breathtaking in its uncompromising clarity: a father singing to his newborn son as a son bids his own father farewell. Nobody thinks it is strange anymore that an artist changes his nom de plume to reflect a new direction; a metamorphosis of his art. As listeners, we must resist the temptation to compare a new expression with previous works but instead allow the artist the necessary leeway to follow where his muse leads. So it is with Lone Wolf & Friends. There is a departure from his previous work that is his alone to define. We are simply recipients and must let the work wash over us like waves on the beach and be slightly moulded by the force of each one.

By definition, a Lone Wolf has no friends so we are left with the nagging question of why the name has significance. Perhaps Lone Wolf’s friends are his previous artistic incarnations and although he alone created this work, those earlier versions were there to encourage his creative drive. We are never truly loners, are we?

Since 2019, Amsterdam-based curator Pieter Jansen has used his yeyeh label as a vehicle for carefully considered (and sometimes unlikely) ‘first time’ collaborations between different experimental and avant-garde artists including Eversines, Carolina Eyck, Greetje Bijma and Oceanic. After pairing saxophonist/composer/producer Jerzy Maczyński with fellow Polish experimentalist Waclaw Zimpel on 2021 collaborative release Sariani (which was credited to Jerry&ThePelicanSystem in a nod to the former’s earlier album for Warner Music’s Polish Free Jazz series), yeyeh founder Pieter Jansen had an idea. That simple idea – getting Maczyński in the studio with Chicagoan DJ/producer Hieroglyphic Being – was the genesis of this record, the debut album by Universal Harmonies & Frequencies. In June 2022, Hieroglyphic Being flew to Amsterdam to spend five days improvising with Maczyński in a rented studio beneath Volkshotel, under the watchful eye of recording and mix engineer Rein De Sauvage Nolting, better known in electronic music circles for his work as RDS. During those sessions, 26 long, improvised compositions were recorded, with Maczyński contributing saxophones and electronic tools, and Hieroglyphic Being laying down synthesizer parts and vocals. These sessions were captured on film by VLF (Katarzyna Debska), who later created the artwork and visual language for this record release. Some days after the recording sessions, Sauvage Nolting – who had delivered artistic input during the improvisations – sat down with Jansen to select 13 pieces to put forward for the album and a loose conceptual framework. It was then that the hard work began. While a decision was taken to present some improvisations in full, most of what you will hear on Tune IN, as the album is titled, is based on fragments of improvisation. The resultant pieces were reconfigured, re-worked and re-produced by Maczyński and Sauvage Nolting over many months, and in discussion with Hieroglyphic Being. Maczyński added more layers of instrumentation, creating a “whole digital band of reed instruments” – a method he previously utilized on Sariani. What you hear when you play the record defies categorization. It is rooted in a specific moment in time and the spontaneity of musical improvisation – both Maczyński and Hieroglyphic Being are experienced improvisers, albeit with different musical instruments and tools – but also the product of extensive post-production and reflective re-shaping. It is not free-jazz, ambient, electronica, rhythmic cubism (as Hieroglyphic Being’s distinctive sound has previously been called), or avant-garde experimentalism, but something that combines all these musical approaches and more, with a sprinkling of far-sighted futurism mixed in. It is a magical and mystical meeting of musical minds that will pass the test of time in decades to come.

2026 Repress

Due to high demand, MEU has revisited two of Mr. K’s classics, previously only available as 12-inch extended mixes, and asked the master editor to pare them down to 7-inch size.

A true top-five peak record at the Garage, Thelma Houston’s “I’m Here Again” was “a highlight whenever Larry played it,” Danny Krivit recalls, “and he played it a lot!” Danny’s edit is a homage to Larry and Frankie Knuckles – in particular a similar private edit that Frankie did back in the day and shared with Krivit. “It was on reel to reel and I didn’t copy it correctly and lost it,” Danny remembers. “Reels were problematic! When I tried to get it again from him, unfortunately he had lost it too.” The song (likely an attempt by Motown to capitalize on the previous year’s monster hit “Don’t Leave Me This Way”) is, in its original form, a virtual retake of Thelma Houston’s breakout single, from the subdued, schmaltzy intro to the “oooh BABY!” leading to the chorus. What sets “I’m Here Again” apart though, is the incredible second half of the song. Naturally, it is here that Mr. K’s edit focuses. Over a vicious groove reminiscent of the Originals’ “Down To Love Town” breakdown (Michael Sutton wrote and produced both “Love Town” and “I’m Here Again”) Houston delivers soul-stirring ad libs as the band crackles with electricity behind her, the piano chasing a descending string riff so eagerly. Pure dancefloor peak energy! And the very first time having all these parts on a 7"!

For our flip, Danny has reached deep into the earliest foundations of his voluminous collection, and come out with a psychedelic pop classic rearranged for today’s sound systems and setlists. Recorded in the Beatles’ Abbey Road studio at the height of the Summer Of Love, the Zombies’ “Time Of The Season” is firmly linked in pop culture to the late ‘60s and the Vietnam era, breaking big in the summer of 1969. Krivit’s edit highlights the parade of lush sonic textures that ornament the hip composition, from the iconic, exquisitely echoed bass-clap-exhale riff that opens the song to the cascading Hammond organ solos of Rod Argent. “It’s a song from my childhood that really struck a chord,” Danny says. “Over the years I often played a rough edit which always seemed to go over great. The song seemed to get better and better, and age like fine wine.” We agree!

These two songs have both appeared on previous (separate) MEU 12-inches, but are presented here in custom new edits for the 7-inch format.

Portuguese techno force Lewis Fautzi debuts under his own name on Mutual Rytm with ‘Beneath The Surface’. Hailing from Barcelos, Portuguese maestro Lewis Fautzi has carved out a formidable reputation through a run of uncompromising releases and a sound rooted in tension, precision and raw power - exemplified by his recent outing on the agenda-setting Hayes Collective. He has previously established his fierce, potent sound on Soma, PoleGroup, Mord, and a number of other influential labels, while also heading up Faut Section. Having previously appeared on Mutual Rytm’s Federation Of Rytm III compilation under his Non Cyclic alias, he now steps out on SHDW’s label with a six-tracker busting full of impactful techno cuts. The heavily-requested ‘Beneath The Surface’ opens the EP with menacing low-end and tightly coiled pressure that's released through simmering valves and hissing synths. ‘The Hollow Cycle’ brings a loopy, tunnelling groove with a snaking lead and snaking metallic percussion, while ‘Inner Mechanism’ keeps things dark, deep and driving with a backlit glow that pulls you in. ‘Nonlinear Form’ is streamlined deep techno that fizzes with texture, spraying chords and a rumbling sub-bass, while closer ‘Anamorph’ rides meticulously designed broken beats with an ever-present sense of bass-driven foreboding. For digital purchasers, sparse and eerie bonus ‘Surface’ slams down with industrial weight and real warehouse grit, shaping up another weighty offering for the label.

Otoboke Beaver return with a new album Super Champon
It follows the critically revered Itekoma Hits of 2019. Champon is a Japanese
noun meaning a mixture or jumble of things of different type. Recorded, mixed
and mastered by Ippei Suda in between lockdowns at Osaka's legendary LM
Studio.Across 18 songs, chief singer- songwriter Acco expands the band's
possibilities and pushes their musical skills to the limit. Acco has remarked
previously that she is more influenced by 'manzai', a traditional style of comedy in
Japanese culture comparable to double act comedy or stand- up comedy
exemplified by its use of slang puns and wordplay, speedy back- and- forth
dialogue and impeccable timing in delivering a punchline, characteristics of which
Otoboke Beaver's music shares in droves.

Vinyl LP pressing. Electroacoustic saxophonist, improviser, and composer Cole Pulice traffics in shimmering, otherworldly beauty. On the meditative ambient jazz of Land's End Eternal, Cole adds a welcome new texture with the introduction of the electric guitar, an instrument previously unheard in their music, which took on a central role as a compositional and sonic tool for this record.

Birchy is a relative newcomer to the Kniteforce label, although his previous release (KF266) that played with the Terminator theme tune was a big seller. It's not overly surprising, as Birchy may be new to the label, and a new name to many old skool heads, but he is an experienced producer who has been around for decades, with releases spread far and wide...
This EP samples the classic news broadcast surrounding the famous Castle Morton event in the UK, and the whole EP is deeply old skool and classic in feel. Full on breakbeats, pianos and authentic rave sounds are the name of the game here, and Birchy creates a timless feel to all of it!

A – Raise & Risk – The Itch

A tiny camel keyring tossed around on a contact mic and run through an ancient plate reverb makes up most of the percussions, odd ad-libs and wooshes in "The Itch". A 60 ton bass growl of mesozoic depth and some messed up hihats nicked from a previously discarded track round things off. Unfolds particularly well at high volume with ample Waterhouse-level low end.

B1 – Raise & Risk – Anthistamine
The initial minimalist groove of "Antihistamine" had already been in place for a while. But it was the log drums we added after a long night spent in a dark room surrounded by and partaking in mayhem that really tied it all together. Overall a moody and somewhat dissonant affair, the track breathes and oozes in unexpected ways, like we've never managed before.

B2 – Raise & Risk – Screwfix E17

Sirens wail, shouts compete for attention, a gnarly bassline tests your speakers and the drums switch between half- and doubletime 165 business. "Screwfix E17" is a rowdy loveletter to everyone's fav retailer of cheap tools and ambivalent service.

Released in 1972 as the follow-up to the previous year's classic CTI album with Stanley Turrentine, Now is Astrud Gilberto's tenth studio album and her only recording on Perception, and wow does she make the most of the musicians available to her on this recording. Produced by Astrud herself and with all songs arranged by fellow Brazilian Eumar Deodato, the all-star line-up on Now includes Deodato on acoustic guitar, more Brazilian flavours from Airto Moreira on percussion, label vice-President and production genius Patrick Adams on Bass duties (along with Bob Cranshaw and Ron Carter), Dizzy Gillespie Quintet and Jazzberry Patch band member Mike Longo on keyboards and the mighty Billy Cobham on drums.

A previously unissued post-bop document from 1970, Jyväskylä Workshop Band 1970 assembles American saxophonist Charlie Mariano, Norwegian bassist Arild Andersen and Finnish luminaries Heikki Sarmanto, Eero Koivistoinen, Paroni Paakkunainen, Seppo Ranniko, Pekka Pöyry, Edward Vesala and Matti Koskiala. Professionally captured in concert, the album delivers a vibrant set of groovy, exploratory and subtly exotic tunes that helped assert Finland’s place on the international jazz map.

Selekt Wax returns with its second vinyl offering, shifting the lens from introspection toward motion. Where its predecessor explored stillness and space, Varginha 96 leans into rhythm with a more fluid, tactile energy.

Loopedeville works within a minimal framework but pushes it toward something more animated. Groove takes the lead, while detail reveals itself gradually. The result is playful but controlled, built for movement while still carrying depth beneath the surface.

Inspired by the 1996 Varginha incident in Brazil, the record carries a subtle sense of the otherworldly. Not in a literal sense, but in texture. Unfamiliar tones, slightly off center moments, and elements that feel just outside of reach.

Etched on the sleeve, a poem sets the tone:

A1 – Varginha 96
A breakbeat driven opener centered on a looping vocal from the Varginha ‘96 incident. Off kilter synth textures circle the groove, giving it a subtle, otherworldly feel. Simple on the surface, with depth that reveals itself over time.

A2 – Varginha 96 (Ohm Hourani Remix)
Ohm takes it into a more stripped back, hypnotic space. Centered around the same vocal, the track locks into repetition and feel. Hazy, controlled, and built for late hours.

B1 – Thunders in Paradise
A driving groove built on dusty drums and a tightly controlled rhythm. It holds a steady pulse, with understated details and shifting textures giving it quiet depth.

B2 – Never Enough
A fluid, late night groove shaped by Loopedeville’s signature swing. Less driving than the previous cut, but still locked in, with warm tones and an easy bounce that carries through.

SUNANDBASS Recordings proudly presents its next release, welcoming rising artist Napes with a brand new single: Hit The Corner / Clamber. In 6:20, Napes lets us travel through all the facets of a SUNANDBASS Recordings journey, with his ever-changing arrangement that evolves from heavy, club-focused energy into a euphoric jungle-inspired middle section, before concluding with driving arpeggiated synths. On the B-side, Clamber offers a deep, darker contrast. Between the atmospheric strings set intro which is dropping into a heavy, bass-driven groove, easily imagined shaking the dancefloor during an Ambra Night indoor session. The track reveals a more introspective side of Napes, blending refined sound selection with classic, weighty basslines built for the dancefloor. We’re honoured to welcome Napes to the SUNANDBASS Recordings family, an artist whose sound reflects our love for all corners of the genre while paying homage to the music that brings us together in Sardinia year after year. SUNANDBASS Recordings continues to push the boundaries of drum & bass, fostering connection through music that transcends borders, unites listeners, and celebrates rhythm, movement, and culture.

Past Tense returns with a second helping of buried treasure: three previously unreleased tracks from 90s and early 2000s written by US legend John Howard. Made between two millenniums, these cuts blend house, techno, and tech house into a hypnotic, time-warped trip. How they stayed in the vault for over 20 years is anyone's guess.

Derek Kamm is the American producer behind the Kidislive project and brings more than two decades of experience.

The Long Island-raised DJ and producer has previously received support from the likes of Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola and Carl Craig, while releasing on Visionquest, but now hones his craft, combining influences from micro house, minimal and experimental. Fresh off a third outing on 8 Head Records, he is back on his own new label to explore more compelling grooves.

Opener 'Down To The Penny' has a lively carnival feel, with an excitable mix of shimmering synths and subtle guitar riffs bursting through the mix. Sweeping filters ramp up the scale as more delicate melodies hang in the air, helping to hypnotise the dance floor. There is plenty of sunshine in the rich, multilayered instrumental 'Never Stop Reaching', which builds through rousing chords and florid flute lines. Vocals arrive with an empowering message that will bring real rapture. The fantastic 'Dipper Fox' is a rugged rhythm with chunky bass and a muscular feel that's softened by wispy, swirling synths and soaring choral vocals. Last but not least, 'Shorty Circuitry' is a study in emotional soundscaping - a warm, effervescing brew with strings and breathy vocals, long-tailed chords and a sense of joy all swarming around a subtle bass guitar that moves things onward and upwards.

Our previous remix-EP of Ness' classic album "Flesh Of The Gods" was, for various reasons, a long and slow process. When Ness himself suggested us to ask Vladw for a contribution we finally had a good reason to reach out to a long time favorite @ the Navigare HQ. Although located, literally, on the other side of the planet, his deep, driving and breezy productions ring true to our, slightly northern, musical vision. So we are not surprised that his excellent remix of "Transilient" is, already, one of the most celebrated tracks in our half decade long history. We asked for more, and finally we are able to present three brand new originals, seeded, watered and harvested with a Navigarean intent. Three highly functional pieces, aimed at focused dancefloors underneath open skies, balancing the beautiful and lush with the edgy and slightly twisted. Although being our first ever collaboration, any Navigare listener would understand that Luigi Tozzi has played a huge role for us on our path. Since his first releases with Hypnus we've listened carefully, on repeat, for a dozen years by now. A guiding light for our scene, always curious, always pioneering, yet always on point. His remix of "Drya" takes the harmonix of the original, adds a monstrous bassline and - trust us on this one - that massive clap will cause a mass frisson on the dancefloor. Trust Navigare Audio...

With his distinctive touch for melody and texture, "Thunder EP" opens a portal to a new world, both vibrant and underground. Split into two parts, the A-side burns with a groovy house and breakbeat energy, while the B-side shines with deep, progressive and electronic soundscapes.

Right after, the A2 "You've Got The Feeling" offers a subtle blend of softness and groove. True to Houseum’s deep and sunny DNA, the track revolves around an effective classic piano house hook and a captivating soul vocal that instantly sticks in your head.

Closing the A-side, "Space Jam" shifts into more atmospheric territories with floating vocals and airy synth pads, moving the dancefloor toward a deeper, more mental vibe.

On the flip side, the hypnotic bassline of the B1 "Bullet Train" sets the pace immediately. The track nods to 90s progressive house through its structure while offering distinctive deep tech and dub techno sounds.

Finally, "Haag" wraps up the record with a subtle blend of IDM, ambient, and dub techno, a sound aesthetic that might remind a certain In Limbo EP released on Houseum's sub-label, Ellipse Records. It acts as the perfect closing track, inviting the listener to wind down and float away after the intensity of the previous tracks.

After Brummel 001, the baddest boys from Roffa town strike back with Brummel 002. This time, it's an EP from Nathan Homan that delves deeper into the sonic forest than the previous release. On the flip, you'll find a track made by Nathan Homan and Mathijs Smit over six years ago. Some say Nathan bought a 303 and went straight to Mathijs' place with the machine in hand. Evissimax and Protopapa present a "double face" vinyl record that reimagines the 70s and 80s sounds of one of Italy's musical legends: Loredana Bertè.
"Fare l’amore" comes from Bertè's scandalous and psychedelic debut album (1974). Evissimax's unique style preserves the song's message of freedom, bridging generations united by shared ideals and explosive energy.
Protopapa, a DJ and a key figure in Italy's LGBTQIA+ community and electronic music scene, has previously remixed tracks by Raffaella Carrà, Ricchi e Poveri, and Ornella Vanoni. His remix of "La goccia" is a return to his roots, giving the track an electro makeover that blends with the original's rock essence. The remix incorporates hints of UK garage and classic house samples, staples of his DJ sets.

"The Happening by Tomorrow Comes The Harvest is the least case, a provocative confrontation. It's a challenge or dare to the idea that music can be useful if we are able to experience it. I would imagine that to many, music having an objective beyond the listener doesn't make sense because the general thought is that Music is made for us to consume, to make us remember, to influence us and to make us feel something. The Happening does all those things but much more. What it does is expand the scope from us to "it". Creating and constructing music for the subject of existence is a tall order.

The concept of The Happening is about the beginning and the end of Time and Space; the initial point of when reality starts and its conclusional apex. In the beginning, there is a great light. And from this light, comes life. Life is lived until it isn't.

This is what The Happening implies. It speaks about a 9-minute frame in reality, used to emphasize something that happened a very long time ago, something that happened in its creation and what will eventually happen far in the future.

The Happening was of an accidental birth. The love child of three musicians (Jeff Mills, Prabhu Edouard and Jean-Phillippe Dary) who was just asked to play "something" so that the camera crew could have extra b-roll for all the previous footages of the band while they were working in the recording studio in the North of Paris for their album Forbidden Planet. There was no discussion of what they'll do, no plan, no direction other than to use music to reach a level of consciousness.

Somehow within these transformative 9 minutes, something was felt by each of them, explored to its furthest point, which lead to this extraordinary creation. The Happening refers to the life and death of everything living thing. Infinity."

For its sixth release, Rio de Janeiro’s Onda Boa label sees founder Joutro Mundo, step up once again - this time reviving and re-vibing Netinho’s independent 1980s bop, “Du Du Du Domingo”.

Netinho first made his mark in the 1960s as the drummer for Brazilian beat icons Os Incríveis, then again in the 1970s with the heavier, lysergic sounds of Casa das Máquinas. By the 1980s, he had turned toward a new vision, inspired by the spiritual group Amor e Caridade. Released on his own imprint, Manancial do Amor, 1982’s Apartamento 97 – Projeto Amor & Caridade Vol. 2 brought together heavyweights Zé Rodrix, Faísca, and Manito to expand on this funky, pop-rock chapter first introduced with 1980’s Amor & Caridade Vol. 1.

According to Netinho, a year passed in search of inspiration for the follow-up LP before he began receiving notes and poems through his medium, dictated to her by his “protector.” Following that divine intervention, the album’s songs were completed in just two days—including the standout track, “Du Du Du Domingo,” an ode to the beauty of a Sunday afternoon after the toils of the workweek.

Side A presents the original track, lovingly remastered, in all its stripped-down, idiosyncratic glory. A bubbling synth bass paired with a nimble electric bass line set the stage for the plunky synth melody that defines this anomalous yet infectious gem—before giving way to a samba break and a wafting crowd noise that instantly transports you to a sunny Sunday by the sea.

On the B-side, Joutro Mundo injects a new vitality into the track with crisp hi-hats, a thumping kick, and other subtle studio magic. The samba break is brought forward, while the electric bass line—previously bubbling beneath the surface—rises to center stage around the three-minute mark. True to form, Joutro Mundo avoids the obvious, drawing on his deep crates and production sorcery to conjure up yet another gem for the balearic heads and other lovers of left-field dancefloor deviance.

Metallic Life Review is the sound of two people who have collected field recordings of metal objects from around the world for years of their lives together, collaging their magpie hoard into rhythmic patterns, sometimes writing melodies and basslines, but sometimes just letting sound be sound. Patient gathering yields to ADHD editing. Painstakingly made but blink and you"ll miss it. Is it music or is it noise? It is without a doubt exceptionally beautiful music wrought from metal detritus. Metallic Life Review features Susan Alcorn"s pedal steel, Owen Gardner"s glockenspiel, Thor Harris" drumming, Jason Willett"s (Half Japanese) guitar, and Jeff Carey"s aluminum cans, which were melted, molded into custom aluminum rods, and then bowed and struck. The most dramatic difference from any previous Matmos album is that side two was recorded "live in the studio", ala Throbbing Gristle"s Heathen Earth. For the first time on recording, Matmos capture the evolving, shifting, slithering dynamic that happens when they play live and let patterns emerge out of chaos and then collapse and then re-form. Their playful blend of compositional brilliance and improvisational playfulness meld perfectly, truly capturing ecstatic moments in a way that can only happen live.

Dexstar Recordings returns with its third release - a solid white vinyl featuring three tracks from the Acid Queen, Miss Djax. These tracks, licensed from the seminal label DJAX Upbeats, were previously only available in digital format. The record also includes a brand-new Acid techno remix of "Rave Nation 303" from label boss Sortek and legend Sterling Moss.

After an initial European release in 1976 on the Isadora label Age Of Earth was re-issued on Virgin Records in Summer 1977 and fast became a beacon for electronic music and what was becoming known as ambient - Some cite its very title as helping introduce 'new age' music - This re-issue faithfully replicates the original 1977 Virgin Records release and is pressed on 180g heavyweight vinyl.
Guitarist and synthesiser player Manuel Göttsching formed Ashra after disbanding Ash Ra Tempel, the outfit he had led since 1971. Moving away from the space rock of his previous group, Ashra was a far more electronics-based project. Recorded in Berlin, between March and June 1976, the four pieces on the album represent the very best of what became known as Kosmiche: dreamily repetitive, glancing to the stars while keeping feet firmly on the ground.

New Age Of Earth is a record full of contrasts: the throbbing, techno-predicting Sunrain opens the album; with its waves and crickets sound effects, Ocean Of Tenderness pulses gently like a space-age early Fleetwood Mac; Deep Distance brings elements of surf music into glacial electronica. At 21 minutes long, Nightdust occupies all of the album's second side, a ruminative, slowly unfolding piece that, after its crescendo, gives way to Göttsching's impressively celestial electric guitar solo.

Following a string of sought-after singles, a twice-pressed debut LP and previous remixes from artists including XL Middleton and Qrion, Japan-based indie funk duo Milk Talk returns with “Medusa”, a tape-tinged track anchored by a fat Minimoog bassline. Milk Talk vocalist Q.i’s sensual Japanese lyrics seemingly emerge from a smoky cloud of phased-out guitars, courtesy of multi-instrumentalist Hair Kid. On the vinyl-exclusive instrumental flipside, the track’s vocoder layers come out on display.

WVLT is the newest sonic addition from WNDFRM (Portland-based, Tim Westcott), an album of eight distinct explorations exploring the many facets of experimental IDM.

Tim Westcott’s practice is rooted in an acute, nearly forensic attention to sound. Subtle tones, sculpted drones, and lean percussive gestures, always pursued with a patient ear and obsession with sound design. 

With previous releases on Prologue, Home Normal, and Dragon’s Eye Recordings, and several live performances at Mutek, a new album from Tim is a rare yet welcome occurrence. The conceptual approach for WVLT began in 2021, mixing synths with drum machines and granular processing. Lightly arced structures slip between gates of rhythm, shifting pulses, translucent washes, and disquieting residue. There’s a precision to the hesitation and an insistence in the space between notes, a deft balance of raw improvisation and sculpted quietude.

An exercise in immediacy and response, each track builds and unspools, like form in fleeting motion, driven by the moment’s tonal contrasts, micro‑rhythmic interplay, and slight gestures that alter entire planes of listening. It’s minimal without sparsity, intense without density.

A haunting and futuristic album, it combines the sublime voice of Iranian vocalist
Sussan Deyhim and the electronic wizardry of US composer Richard Horowitz.
'Desert Equations' wonderfully blends the duo's multiple sources, including their
experiences at the epicentre of New York's early 1980s avantgarde music and
theatre scene, Sussan Deyhim's knowledge of traditional Persian music and its
reverberation in modern Iranian arts, and Richard Horowitz's background in jazz,
electronics and Moroccan folk music. This 2021 remastered reissue includes
three previously- unreleased bonus tracks, one included on the LP and two only
available on the CD and digitally, and a rich booklet with photographs and notes
recounting the duo's fascinating life stories.
Sussan Deyhim went on to work with the likes of Peter Gabriel, Jah Wobble,
Bobby McFerrin, Adrian Sherwood, Ornette Coleman, and renowned visual artist
Shirin Neshat. Richard Horowitz has collaborated with David Byrne, was the
original artistic director of the Gnaoua Festival in Essaouira, and has written and
recorded film soundtracks for the likes of Oliver Stone. In April 2021, Deyhim and
Horowitz were invited to perform at the first Nobel Prize Summit.

“For Today” is a timeless album—a sonic journey that seamlessly blends electronic influences, Trip-Hop, Folk, Indie Rock,
and Psychedelia.
It unfolds like an immersive soundscape, rich in complex atmospheres, experimental textures, and a deep emotional
undercurrent. Agosta has envisioned a record that transcends trends and market conventions, crafting a cinematic, soulstirring experience that fuses the intensity of trip-hop, the purity of folk, and the swirling colours of psychedelia.

In essence, “For Today” is a mature and cohesive work that defies the boundaries of traditional genres, creating a unique

On September 26th, 2025, two decades and seven albums into his career, American musician, composer, and academic John Maus will release his most transcendent work yet: Later Than You Think. Continuing the percussive-driven and emotive themes from his previous EPs, CAIN reaches beyond the boundaries of experimental electronic and Celtic music from the Scottish Highlands. "Lineage" is the result of a life-long goal to combine his passion and experience in these respective worlds. The album includes Brighde Chaimbeul on Scottish small pipes, James Mackenzie on flute and vocals by Katie Mackenzie.

The common thread that connects his discography is the intense rhythmic and melodic elements that convey his love of ‘infectious rhythm, ethereal beauty, or an otherworldly strangeness’. His productions have garnered support from DJs like Ben UFO, Gilles Peterson, Peggy Gou, Hunee, Haai, Erol Alkan, Ame, Oneman, and Midland, amongst others. Balancing rhythmic precision with profound harmonic depth, CAIN weaves evocative builders that ignite dancefloors at peak time and reveal intricate sonic tapestries in the intimate confines of headphones.

CAIN's musical background is rooted in traditional Scottish bagpipe music, which evolved through his competitive performances on an international level. His experience and knowledge enhanced CAIN’s understanding of how regional folk music reflects specific environments and cultures. Through the competition circuit he met Brìghde Chaimbeul, out on the scenic games fields of Uist, Glenfinnan and many others. He also competed against James Mackenzie, an amazing piper and flautist. James is a former member of the band Breabach. His wife, Katie Mackenzie is a superb Gaelic singer.

The recordings with James and Katie were done on the island of Bernera, off the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides and recordings with Brìghde were made in Edinburgh.

Hot Cargo was a fresh project Richie Weeks was developing with Salsoul Records around 1982–83, right at the height of New York City’s Post-Disco and Boogie Funk explosion. These two versions were recorded at the legendary Right Track Studios, with an all-star lineup of top-tier disco and funk musicians.

Had it seen the light of day back then, there’s little doubt that What’s In It For Me would have become a staple at Larry Levan’s Paradise Garage—and yet another major hit in Richie Weeks’ unstoppable run.

Scannoir. After their previous releases as ½GOTT and GOTT on Uncanny Valley and some remixes, the duo returns with a third solo EP, marking their first appearance on the Berlin-Basel-based label Reach Another System. Their passion for EBM, Synth Pop, and New Beat comes to life with a fine array of classic drum machines and FM-synths, topped with Teutonic lyrics and archival samples. The A-side opens with a bang: "Magnet" critiques social expectations and pressures, backed by hard-hitting snares and tom fill-ins in Front 242 fashion.
