Die aus Andorra stammende Progressive/Melodic Death Metal-Band PERSEFONE, bekannt für intensiven Klangwelten und technisches Können, setzt neue Maßstäbe im modernen Extreme Progressive Metal.

Seit ihrer Gründung in 2001 veröffentlichte das Sechstett fünf Studioalben, von denen jedes einzelne den musikalischen Weitblick der Band unter Beweis stellt: hohe technische Qualität, ausgefeilte Melodien und mitreißende sowie anspruchsvolle Riffs. Die Band tourte weltweit mit namhaften Acts wie Obituary oder Leprous und stand auf den Bühnen des Wacken Open Air, den Metal Days, Brutal Assault, ProgPower und 70.000 Tons of Metal.

Nun erscheint das neueste Werk metanoia am 04.02.22 via Napalm Records! Nach der Zusammenarbeit mit Produzenten wie Jens Bogren (At The Gates, Haken, The Ocean), Logan Mader (Gojira, Periphery, Once Human) und Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Amaranthe, Epica) wurde das neueste Werk metanoia von David Castillo abgemischt, der bereits mit Genre-Größen wie Leprous, Soen und Opeth gearbeitet hat, und von Tony Lindgren (Enslaved, Ihsahn, Sepultura) gemastert.

metanoia ist eine atmosphärische und düstere Reise durch dichte Soundwelten. Die Band überschreitet Genregrenzen mit Leichtigkeit und erschafft ihren eigenen Kosmos, der den Hörer mit abwechslungsreichem Songwriting und technischer Präzision in seinen Bann zieht und so PERSEFONEs würdigen Platz im Genre

The enigmatic Ukrainian label Jerelo presents a 4-track vinyl-only EP by the talented Greek producer Cirkel Square. Each track on the release is like an antique sculpture — exquisite, graceful, and made with attention to every small detail. This comparison is not accidental, as Cirkel Square dedicated each of the four “sinister harmonies” to one of the gods of ancient Greek mythology. The opening track, “Kronos Reckoning”, with its new-age melodies bristling with pathos, carries the spirit of the greatness of the age of Titans, frozen between the dense bricks of a micro-house beat. “Hades Symphony” and "Persephone's Whisper" are inspired by existential reflections, while “Ares Beat” surprises with an inventive pseudo-acid drop.

The Malevolent Harmonies EP features tracks perfect for the dance floor, especially when played on a high-quality PA system. Despite each track's unique style, the EP as a whole is surprisingly cohesive. Just as the mentioned gods in the EP are related to each other, the
tracks share common elements, showcasing the high skill level of the rodub / rominimal producer from Stockholm.

Here in solo instrumental mode, the entire record consists of just one instrument, the pipe organ, and represents absolute liberation of the imagination.All Thoughts Fly radiates a melancholic beauty, and is distinguished by fluid transitions of contrasting elements; calmness and drama, harmony and dissonance, much like the place that inspires the music. About the album Anna explains"there's a sadness and wilderness that inspired me to write this album, also a timelessness. I believe that this park has survived not only due to its beauty but also because of the iconography, it has been liberated from predictable ideas and ideals. The people who built this park truly set their minds and imagination free. All thoughts fly is a homage to this creation, and an effort to articulate the atmosphere and the feelings that this place evokes inside of me. It's a very personal interpretation of a place that I lack the words to describe. I'd like to believe Orsini built this monumental park out of grief for his dead wife, and in my Sacro Bosco I used this story as a core for my own inspiration: love as a foundation for creation."
