The first trunk repress of this classic lost post punk single was way back in 2010. They all sold very fast. The original 7' then shot to £500+ if you can ever find one. And the Trunk 12' repress is now about £50. Three record companies approached Trunk in the last month to repress it, but it was easier just to repress this classic 12' with the original version, a radio edit and three further edits from various underground superstars.

Jive baby On A Sturday Night' is incredibly hooky. It was originally played by John Peel back in the day, but as a privately pressed record with no distribution apart from being carried about ina sprts holdall, it sold just 30 copies.

Rediscovered by Thurston Moore in 2009, this super hip single is now back out with the full original version plus edits and mixes by Lemon Jelly's Fred Deakin, Tommy Stupid and Georges Vert, AKA the Advisory Circle.

Sunlightsquare keeps on exploring multiple style of House music this summer. The previous single from the last month "Oyelo" was a winning combination of authentic Latin Cuban music and classic 909 House beats. It was championed by Ron Trent, Osunlade, Hunee, Bradley Zero, Nick The Record and Atjazz to name a few. This time, the main man and keyboard wizard Claudio Passavanti deployed two remixers for deeper and more spiritual endeavour to showcase his magical composition.

Hailing from the birth place of South African House music Pretoria, the talented young producer Blaqtone laid out beautiful sunset pad, earthy African percussions and solid rolling beats, all work like magic with Claudio's original spiritual keyboard works.

On the flip side, Kay Suzuki pulled off another dubbed out psychedelic mix with "Astro Dub", just like the previous release, and the more dance-floor oriented classic deep House style of "Moon Mix" influenced by the likes of Larry Heard. The track features sequenced Mini-Moog bass line and call & response drum programming before blissful harmonies and melodies kick in.

Terrace Trips is presenting their first release by Anatol. Terrace is a minimalistic positive house cut with some trippy synths which lets you fade away. James Dexter (Inermu/Poker Flat) comes up with a percussive and intelligent remix which always brings the crowd forward with his multiple kicks. Samu Rodriguez (Serkal), moves the track in a more technoid direction and changes the mood to a darker atmosphere.

Here comes Argoman, the antihero of disco music. Inspired by the 1960s b movie super hero Argoman, the name literally means lazy man, however it's also a combination of three Italian producers' names, who started the project about one year ago. The track Chimicalissimo merges the vibrant rhythms of disco with the emotional approach of modern electronic music. It's a peak-time dancefloor banger completely produced with analog synths and drum machines. The tune is a proper voyage between syncopated rhythms and heavy basslines soaked with synth melodies that often recall IDM progressions. The dub version gives more space to a melancholic piano melody that culminates through analog arpeggios to an unstoppable build. Black Spuma remix finally turns the track into a slow burning disco monster.

When Steve Lawler first sent us 'Crazy Dream,' he told us that he had made the record 'specifically with Turbo in mind,' thus sending us on a quasi-lucid journey down a rabbit hole of self-discovery from which we have only recently emerged. Most labels would simply talk up a nuts-to-the-wall floor-filler with a killer 'White Horse' bassline from an acid house legend and be done with it, but the fact remains that if we forgo an opportunity to learn more about ourselves as dance music imprint, we are doing our fans a disservice whether they could possibly be expected to realize it or not. We hired a board-licensed Forensic Poet to parse the track's lyrical references to nothing being 'quite as it seems,' 'feeling naked and confused,' and rising above 'the push and shove.' What was he trying to tell us The poet assured us that all it meant was that Lawler admires Turbo and thought the track would be a good fit, and that we should put our clothes back on, wipe the confused looks from our faces, and stop pushing and shoving one another because everything was exactly as it seemed. We paid him his $25 and did as we were told. For the remixes, we took a track made especially for us and enlisted a diverse cast of Turbo All-Stars to spin it into a release for everyone, a proprietary practice we call 'Human Alchemy: The Future of Generosity™.' Finland's Jori Hulkkonen, Belgium's Charlotte de Witte, and Argentina's DJs Pareja trace a beautiful global triangle for lovers of acid bangers, stripped-down techno, and tripped-out weirdness, respectively. Richy Ahmed's Four Thirty Two imprint continues to shine a light on the freshest talent emerging from the house music underground, and on the label's third release, the London based Senzala get to flex their muscle on a fine release, backed with a remix from Ahmed and Jansons AKA Lovehertz.

Having previously released on the French label Mr. KS & Friends, and Politics Of Dancing, the Senzala boys, otherwise known as Jonni Santos & Sam Holland, deliver the goods once more on the 'Phase' EP.

The title track packs rolling 909s and looping filtered disco riffs into its punch; never letting the energy levels drop. Vocal licks and techno-laced stabs drive this club-focused track fantastically, with a glossy production that really shines through. Richy Ahmed and Jansons come correct with a Loveherts remix; a heavyweight analogue bassline dominated the mix and the vocal parts slide down the arpeggiated riff as incessant synth stabs ramp up the heat, taking their remix right to fever pitch.

The Senzala boys grind out more solid house grooves on 'All For You', deploying disco samples and vocals that are filtered and twisted around the tough drums to great effect, whilst on 'Agora', the mood remains unfaltering as feel good riffs and warm keys wrap around Senzala's steady beat to complete a stellar release that's packed with energy and infectious vibes.

This highly anticipated release by Los Angeles based artist, AXKAN, delivers a powerful message to the techno underground, letting everyone know this record hasn't come to this point by mistake. With powerful remixes by Luis Flores, Pinion and RolandoHödar to support, AXKAN delivers a strong statement with 'Tension', a techno masterpiece with broken industrial rhythms that is bound to shake floors, and crack the surface. He masterfully creates some true and raw emotion, with his dark, sinister and gritty sounds that is guaranteed to grab attention from the beginning. Axkan's self-confident creativity, however didn't come alone. Techno heavyweight Luis Flores provided a remix that is nothing short of spectacular. He encapsulates Axkan's raw, dark noises, and completely manipulates them into a gnarled and twisted rendition. Pinion's remix perfectly complements the release in a cohesive way to get the dance floor moving. His unique characteristics include a deadly vicious groove with glitchy vocals combined with deep melodies. Aerotek founder, RolandoHödar, had to get his hands in there, with his industrial techno breaks remix to add to this ferocious ride. With all tracks united together, this EP is rooted with serious energy and will undoubtedly tear speakers apart. It exploits experimental to traditional 4X4 percussion workouts and is definitely worth listening.

Some quality techno on this new label from Paris including a beauty of a rmx by Conforce!. For this first vinyl only EP, Shlomo, one of the label's owner arrives with two original tracks with a deep atmosphere crossing classic techno drums. The other side presents two remix, on from the Edinburgh's techno master Stephen Brown with a fine old school reshaping. Next comes The Conforce's remodel which will talk to all ambient and minimalistic techno, 100% as we love his sound. Beautiful contracts between the liquid beauty and massive force of techno. Life and Death welcomes Italian synth wizard Lucy, for the label's inaugural release of 2017. Luca Mortellaro's cavernous techno offering comes equipped with a DJ Sotofett version and a rendition by Planetary Assault Systems, further cementing the diversity of the label's scope. DJ Sotofett recalls fine nineties loop techno while Luke Slater once again confirms his pioneer status.

Afrika Bambaataa, rapper, producer, DJ from the South Bronx, New York. Afrika Bambaataa is one of the originators of breakbeat djing and is respectfully known as "The Godfather of Zulu Nation" and "Amen Ra of Hip Hop Culture'. In 2007 has been nominated for induction into The Rock Hall Of Fame and in 2008 he has been honored by the Bronx Museum of Arts. Afrika Bambaataa's long career is pointed by many hits and masterpieces such as Reckless, Unity, Just Get Up and Dance and Pupunanny.
Countless collaborations with artists such as UB40, James Brown, Boy George, Leftfield just to name few of them. Afrika Bambaataa has recorded with many labels from Tommy Boy to Capitol Records and Profile but it is with the Italian Label DFC (Expanded Music) that he has releases most of his recordings.
Bring It Up is the new release on DFC LABEL produced by dj/producer Paul Carpenter. This release includes three versions in big room/EDM style along with a mega-mix and a full acapella collection of all previous recordings released by Bambaataa on DFC label. Mark Barrott started out in the mid 90's as Future Loop Foundation and since has composed music for numerous films & TV shows and founded one of the world's leading music consultancies. His highly-respected International Feel label has featured albums from the likes of DJ Harvey and Jose Padilla, with a huge portion of the releases dedicated to Barrott's own anonymous pseudonyms. Barrott's Sketches from an Island project has gained support from Pitchfork, the Fader, the Guardian and even the Financial Times for its bold and quirky take on Balearic music.

The three of them form an exhilarating partnership in Talamanca System and this EP gives a snapshot into their forthcoming album due to be released on International Feel in May 2017.

Breakbeat Paradise Recordings has teamed up with The Chosen Few Records to proudly presents the latest escapade of TURNTILL & MERLIN: "BREAK A DAY". This tune is dedicated to all the b-boys and other funkateers worldwide that love the drumsound and the funk. The MCs on the song are DOPPIA ERRE from Apulia, Italy and SKY 189 from Capetown, South Africa.

Both are true Hip Hop heads that love the art of breaking! In the hook you hear the sweet, catchy voices of Stella Baraldo and Dominique Bouvier. A real powerful b-boy anthem and club joint alike, which is interpreted in five additional versions on a six track 12" vinyl release.

Guests on the A-Side are DJ KID STRETCH (Greece), FUNKY BOOGIE BROTHERS (Belarus) who is giving the tune a new flow in the oldskool b-boy direction. For their next release, Freeride Millenium once again link up with Pauls Musique for a perfectly formed new EP from Raphael Danilo feat. George Pappos. Both Danilo and Pappos reside in the rough edges of the greek mountain Parnassos, their musical approach takes cues from their proximity to the ancient sanctuary of Delphi and sees them cook up one fine cut which then gets remixed by Innellea and Nikkname. That lead single is 'Strangers', eight spiritual and spooky minutes of spine tingling and eerie synth music that really takes you on a trip. It operates on another dimension, with pixelated lines and undulating pads all suspending you in space. Perfect for an epic set opening or to really reset the dancefloor with an attention grabbing and emotive piece, it is a truly classy track full of musicality and suspense and atmosphere. German pair Innellea then step up to remix and brilliantly flip the cut into something just as epic and enchanting but with a mid tempo, rubbery house beat down low helping you slip into the deep and colourful groove. Last of all, Nikkname then re-works the whole thing into something minimal and absorbing. The whole thing is riddled with intricate sound design, tender piano keys and the sound of static. It is a real symphony of the organic and the electronic and as such cannot fail to make its mark. Born Marco Sterk, he certainly doesn't come from a standard DJ background. A former skate rat who grew up loving American post-hardcore and '90s hip-hop as much as early Warp Records, he's been affiliated over the years with Amsterdam institutions such as Rush Hour, Red Light Records (where you'll find him most weekdays!) and, of course, Dekmantel itself. Still, there's no question that he's always followed his own path, even during the years that playing his favorite records meant that he was occasionally clearing dancefloors.

Things are different these days, of course, as Sterk now regularly plays around the globe and has been widely hailed not just for his DJ talents, but also for his digging prowess and uncanny ability to pluck jams out of genres, eras and geographies that even veteran DJs will often ignore.

Still, Marco's entry in the Selectors series isn't some soulless collection of 'Holy Grail' rarities. 'Where's the fun in that' he explains. 'Anybody with an internet connection can check what flavor-of-the-month records are in demand.'

Just like the first Selectors compilation, this is not a mix CD, but a collection of hand-picked, unmixed tracks that Sterk has personally chosen from his own vinyl archives. Moreover, Marco has put together a collection of tracks that represent not only how he plays music, but also how he makes music himself. The songs here are melodic, electronic and bound together by a refreshing sense of naiveté. Nothing sounds overly calculated; the tunes here span several decades and include dollar-bin records, avant-garde records, club records and yes, a few things that collector types have likely been looking to get their hands on. James Hadfield has been releasing music over the last ten years under several guises including Lizards and Elizabeth Collective, although remains an elusive figure in the bubbling underground house and Balearic scene. Soak sees him teaming up with Danny Linton , best known as post dubstep producer Funk Ethics.
Man Power's ear for the more captivating and experimental side of electronic music is being championing through Me Me Me, putting discerning dance floors to the test through its releases. 2017 contributions include Mike Simmonetti, Chida, Fort Romeau, Hammer, Rex The Dog, Daniel Maloso and many more .

Besides being a close buddy for soon 20 years and one of the best dj's on the planet, Herr Janson is also a safe bet for your "floorfriendly"rework. Marc Antona has been always in the pursuit of new expressions within music as he has continually demonstrated with his work. Following the jazz-infused adventures of the Rattle Snaps EP, he finally returns to his own turf to lay down another crucial exploration of beat science. "Hanging Gardens" is a masterclass in immersive programming, fusing the natural feel of live drums with crisp electronic tones that hover in a spacious mix. It's the perfect angle at which to appreciate the subtlety of sound design that goes into every inch of Marc Antona's productions, teasing elements in and out of the mix so gracefully, it's hard to tell where the joints are. The haunting touches of chords and lingering pad are deployed with poise, the intricate percussion progressively rising and falling throughout to create a truly immersive sonic journey. Where the A side deals with angular rhythms and a shape-shifting atmosphere, "Unrestricted" takes the sound palette of organic and electronic elements and feeds them into a rolling, techno-minded focus. The tribal thrum of the beat fills out an 'in-the room-ambience' while the psychoactive synth flurries speak out the pulse of the machines. It's a combination that makes "Unrestricted" as intimate as it is exotic. In combining these disparate feelings within his tracks, Antona once again brings a human feel to the technology, pushing the music into exciting new realms in the process.

Detroit techno pioneer Kevin Saunderson has revived his underground house moniker E-Dancer with 'Into the Future,' a rolling futuristic nod to the sound of Detroit Techno. Swirling retro-future synths, echoed out claps and solid bass line that just screams Detroit. The track's gritty yet groovy sentiment is a perfect continuation of the very first E-Dancer album Heavenly, released in 1998.
