For the 7th full press release, Scared Money introduces Dial-M to their roster for this 4 tracker.
The label continues its focus on Jungle through the lens of Ragga & Soundclash culture, but this release appears somewhat stripped back and more traditional by contrast.

There's something for everyone on this release.

During the dreaded lockdown of 2020, many people found themselves working from home, or with much more time spare than they had previously. Vasts amounts of music was being offered during this period as a result. I’ll be honest, the name Riffz I had no experience of at the time, unlike Msymiakos, which was a name I was already familiar with. The most compelling aspect of my curiosity before listening was that I was intrigued by the geographic blend of Poland and Norway. How would these distant locales combine to decipher their thoughts into this great sound we all know and love. Once I had listened, the word ‘no’ was nowhere within the vicinity of my vocabulary. Hear for yourself.

Dope Drum work !

Fresh takes on 90’s jungle and atmospheric drum & bass by Finland’s ODJ Pirkka. Starting track ‘OMG’ combines soulful R&B vibes with blunt basslines, radical samples programming and hard hitting beats. DJ Sofa remixes ‘OMG’ into a dope Bristol style roller with infectious bassline and some hi-energy buildups and cuts. Flipside ‘Bookworm’ is an atmospheric roller with memorable sunrise synths and a sneaky dark section in the middle that slams you with a crazy reese bassline and some red hot amens. Lastly Msymiakos from Norway uses the supplied atmospherics to remix ‘Bookworm’ into an intricate and brooding drum workout.

Suma Vol. 1 (the woods) is the first of a serie of compilations coming out on Bukva Sound. You will find something deep, mellow and something for the floor. This time amazing music from Msymiakos, Vilhelm, Raas Kemp, Marco Lazovic, Aeon Four, Boj Luck & Ljudas.
