Fresh off the back of his Glitterbox remix of CamelPhat & Elderbrook's hit 'Cola', Mousse T. drops his first original release on the Glitterbox label, showing off the depth of his production skills in this sparkling genre-binding track 'Rock The Mic'.
Mousse T. enlists the help of artist TAZ, the man who became the first UK rapper to sign to hip hop mecca Def Jam, also earning a prestigious Ivor Novello award nomination for his writing skills. 'Rock The Mic' reunites Mousse with American song writer Inaya Day, best known for her unforgettable vocals on the German producer's biggest record, 'Horny'.
The catchy hook and toe-tapping groove of intertwine perfectly over smooth strings to make this an irresistible record. The killer collaboration combines hip hop with disco, giving us the best of both worlds. Michael Gray’s star has been firmly in the ascendant in recent years, with a string of chart-topping, floor-filling productions and remixes under his belt. The excitement is therefore palpable for his soon come album Optimism, which sees Michael pour both his heart and his three decades + of experience into what will be one of THE albums of the year.

'This album has been a year and a half in the making,' states the ‘Weekend’ hitmaker and one half of legendary disco house pioneers Full Intention, clearly now keen to release his career-defining magnum opus out into the world.

Next up and with a label debut is one of the leading Female artists on the circuit, Tini Gessler! Tini dropped some straight-up club fire on our sister label Toolroom Trax earlier in the year alongside Juliet Sikora and digs deep into her clubby roots once again with 'Do What You Want'. After releases on the mighty Drumcode, Sola and Kittball in recent years, her 10 year career is going from strength to strength which is seeing her DJ all over the Globe on a weekly basis and her music production is making huge waves within the industry, and rightly so. Next up Italian born DJ and producer, CASSIMM is back on Toolroom with a straight up club weapon! After laying down the delicious disco number last year called 'Get On The Funk' with Kid Enigma, this follows suit perfectly and fuses chunky beats, disco licks and has Bruno Blanc sharing some sentimental lyrics about how important house music is to all of us. Last but not least, French artist Tony Romera is back on Toolroom with another slice of Tech House fire. Tony Romera first stepped onto the scene 10 years ago as a fresh-faced 20 year old looking to make waves and disrupt the electronic music world with his unique style and French-house inspired beats. Since then he's been busy releasing music and experimenting with different sounds and styles, putting out music on a range of powerhouse labels and gaining support from the likes of Diplo, Fisher, Chris Lake, Fatboy Slim, Deadmau5, Vintage Culture, Adam Beyer and more. House Y'all's distinct character is built upon a warped, creeping bassline and tough, relentless beats providing an irresistible pulsing backdrop as the familiar chanted vocal emerges. Italian musician, composer, producer and DJ Sergio Sturari aka Serge Funk is one of the most successful disco-house/funky-house artists of recent years, with his productions often sat atop the Traxsource and Beatport charts. This latest release on Groove Culture’s 7 inch sub-label showcases two of his most accomplished creations.

Serge's most famous track, ‘You and I’ takes the A side. An infectious guitar groove provides the hook for this uplifting vocal-led disco house anthem that has already racked up more than 1 million plays on Spotify.

Flip it over to find ‘Yeah Yeah’ – an unmistakable funk jam with a punchy house beat to keep the bodies moving. Flavourful horns dance around slap bass, spiritual organs and juicy guitar riffs tied together with those energetic funk vocals.

Chicago legend, Green Velvet, returns to Toolroom as he locks horns with label founder Mark Knight and studio partner, James Hurr, for 'The Greatest Thing Alive'. A low slung, chunky affair that screams Miami Space terrace at 8am! Quirky, full of character and Green Velvets unmistakable vocal re-work of the classic 'Mannish Boy' from Muddy Waters pushes this record into a really special place. Green Velvet debuted on the label back in 2015 alongside Technasia with 'Suga', a record that went onto to be an overall Beatport #1 and remained as their highest selling track for many years that followed, the track also sits on an impressive 9m streams. On the flipside, head honcho Mark Knight, returns with studio cohort and DJs favourite James Hurr, as they take on one of House music's all-time classic records; 'Lady (Hear Me Tonight)'. No messing around, Mark and James offer up an alternative take to this stone cold classic, bringing the infectious vocal and iconic guitar riff to the forefront, mixing into a signature Mark Knight club heavy beat. Dr Packer delivers a truly funk-worthy re-work injecting a barrage of the smoothest soul-laced sonics for an early 90s house meets nu disco cut.

Jolyon Petch ramps up the funk with infectious guitar licks and groove-laden bass for his 'Elektrik Disko Mix’.

Burgeoning British producer and Stress Records artist BluePrint drops a rolling progressive house / melodic techno hedonistic dancefloor cut, re-working the classic with absolute finesse with sleek piano work floating euphorically around the iconic lyrics.

Most famous for her song writing credits on Michael Jackson's 'Man in The Mirror', as well as a duet on Jackson's 'I Just Can't Stop Loving You' and 'Don't Look Any Further' with Dennis Edwards, it's no surprise that Siedah Garrett's long career has cemented her as one the most iconic names from the 80's. 'Do You Want It Right Now' which featured in the 1985 movie 'Fast Forward' has been sampled over the years by the likes of Armand Van Helden and covered by Degrees of Motion and this iconic anthem is still considered as one of the game changers during the pivot into the 'Freestyle' movement during the 80's.

A tale of two halves the A side see’s man of the moment Patrick Topping and veteran of the scene Spencer Parker provide two tech-y interpretations, the former an acid tweaked destructive whirlwind and the later a looped-up dub stomper. Nach dem Tod von Lee „Scratch“ Perry tauchte eine Flut von Aufnahmen auf, die sich alle als das „letzte“ oder „abschließende“ Projekt der jamaikanischen Ikone ausgaben. Sein letztes offizielles Albumprojekt führte ihn jedoch nach Berlin, wo er mit den Pionieren der elektronischen Musik, Mouse on Mars (alias Jan St. Werner und Andi Toma), zusammenarbeitete. Das daraus resultierende Album Spatial, No Problem dokumentiert die einzigartige Begegnung zweier musikalischer Universen – ein vielschichtiges Klangexperiment zwischen Dub, Elektronik und visionärer Klangforschung.
