GEHENNAH's demo recording from 1994
This 10 track recording is a true hidden gem in Swedish metal history, as it had a
limited circulation back in the tape trading days. We have put great effort in
getting the best possible mastering and restoration of this nearly 30 year old
recording, and the result will blow peoples minds! The 10 tracks was recorded
about 1 year before the cult album debut Hardrocker , and shares a couple of
tracks, but is a completely different recording, with another drummer. Four of the
songs are not available on any other GEHENNAH release. GEHENNAH was, and
still is, a a brutal assault on the ears and the perfect homage to old school metal
a'la VENOM and early MOTORHEAD. In fact, the band formed in the early 90's as a
reaction to the velvet clad fantasy/ romantic/ troll infested type of metal that
started to emerge from Scandinavia at the time. GEHENNAH went for the throat
with their obnoxious, loud and raw rock'n'punk infused thrash metal. Don't miss

German Symphonic Metal shooting stars Beyond the Black look back on a stratospheric success story. Already their 2015 debut album hit like a bomb in their home country. “Songs Of Love And Death” besieged the German Top 15 for weeks and lead up to the band being awarded the Metal Hammer Award 2015 for “Best Debut”.
Its successor “Lost In Forever” (2016) entered the German charts on #4 right away and paved ways for a huge tour from Germany over countries like UK, Russia or Japan. Since the band’s live debut in 2014 they have played the world’s biggest Metal festival Wacken Open Air several times and toured as a support act for heavyweights such as Aerosmith, Korn, Scorpions, Saxon or Within Temptation.
In the course of album release number three (“Heart Of the Hurricane”) Beyond the Black absolved their first own European headline tour in fall 2019 consisting of over 20 shows in 10 countries – most of them sold out. But even before finishing their touring cycle in Beyond the Black got back to the studio to write record number four.
The highly anticipated “Horizons” was finally released in June 2020, entered the German album charts on #3 (CH #6, AT #16, BE #53) and marks the band’s most successful album release to date.

Now, two years after that, Beyond the Black are back with a bang and start a new chapter with the release of their new single “Reincarnation”. Jennifer Haben proclaims:

After 9 full length studio albums and playing their asses off at over 800 shows, the Finnish disco metal machine Turmion Kätilöt is ready for the next level in their world dominance. Their 10th full length studio album “Omen X” will be released in 36 countries on 13th January 2023 via Nuclear Blast. The touring cycle starts in Finland immediately after the release of Omen X. Band will play its biggest show ever in Helsinki Ice hall on 14th January 2023. Due to the closures caused by Covid 19, there were so many songs available this time that it was even painful to choose only one album of songs from them. Turmion Kätilöt was formed in 2003 in Finland by MC Raaka Pee and Dj Vastapallo. Soon they were joined by the other members of what would become Turmion Kätilöt: Master Bates, Run-Q, DQ and Spellgoth as a second vocalist. With a couple of line-up changes as Dj Vastapallo left the band in 2009 replaced by Bobby Undertaker on guitars (ex-Deathchain) and Spellgoth leaving in 2017 replaced by Shag-U (Fear Of Domination) on vocals, Turmion Kätilöt has become the mean disco metal machine they are today.
From the very beginning Turmion Kätilöt has had a reputation of being a great live band. Disco beats from the 90’s, metal to the pedal, melodies, sing-a-longs, you name it – there are no rules. Yet still if you peek under the skin you can find the darkness pointing its finger to you. Their live shows have been praised to be the fiercest and craziest mayhem to be witnessed creating the twisted world of Turmion Kätilöt.

It almost seems churlish to regard Celtic Frost as one of the great extreme metal bands, because they were so much more than that. It’s better to hail them as among the finest extreme and experimental bands of the 1980s. Refusing ever to do what was expected or demanded, the band constantly changed musical direction, always brought in surprising influences, and kept people guessing as to where they might venture next. Their catalogue of albums is formidable and unmatched. Each is not only unique, but part of an entire tapestry that only now can be appreciated for being a remarkable part of music history. Despite, or maybe because of, constant turmoil on so many fronts, Celtic Frost achieved an artistic level few others would even have dared to dream of aspiring towards. They climbed high because they were never afraid to fall. Which is why the band are now rightly regarded as icons, and iconoclasts.

Released in 1985, the band’s second album had an ominous pall of doom and gloom, enmeshed in a sound both primitive yet also Wagnerian in its vast scope. Many claim this was a massive inspiration for black metal bands later in the decade. In truth, though, none matched what was here. This release includes the ‘Emperor’s Return’ EP as well as a remix of Visual Aggression, and the concept and art direction of the release was done by the man behind Celtic Frost, Tom G. Warrior.

US death metal pioneers returned in 2017 with the Puncturing The Grotesque'
mini-LP, containing 7 tracks of blistering sickness & their first new material since
the pulverising Skull Grinder'. With the returning line- up of Chris Refiert, Eric
Cutler, Danny Coralles & Joe Trevisano, Autopsy once more delivered a rancid
concoction of slow brooding doom & high- octane metal madness injected with
twisted solos & an overdose of vocal insanity. As a nod to their origins for this
release, Autopsy also included a cover version of € Fuck You!!!', originally by West
Oakland 80's outfit, Bloodbath (the former band of Danny Coralles). Bloodbath
was an influential act in the lead up to the formation & early years, of Autopsy &
so it was ideal to include a rendition of this rarely ever heard track on Puncturing
The Grotesque'. Puncturing The Grotesque' was recorded at Earhammer Studios
(Violation Wound), in Oakland CA with engineering & coproduction duties carried
out by Greg Wilkinson. The delightfully distasteful artwork comes courtesy of
Dennis Dread (Darkthrone/Abscess). This edition of 'Puncturing The Grotesque' is
presented on mid-price CD.

“Our goal is, was, and will always be to write increasingly superior, more honest and compelling songs, and to develop a more unique and challenging sound,” offers Baroness founder, guitar player and vocalist John Baizley. “I’m sure we have just finished our best, most adventurous album to date. We dug incredibly deep, challenged ourselves and recorded a record I’m positive we could never again replicate.



I consider myself incredibly fortunate to know Sebastian, Nick and Gina as both my bandmates and my friends. They have pushed me to become a better songwriter, musician and vocalist. We’re all extremely excited for this release, which includes quite a few ‘firsts’ for the band, and we’re thrilled to be back on tour to play these psychotic songs for our fans. While ‘Gold & Grey’ found the band once again working with Purple producer Dave Fridmann (The Flaming Lips, Mogwai), sequestering themselves at Fridmann’s remote upstate New York Tarbox Road Studio. The 17-track album ushered in two significant changes: a decidedly different recording process and guitar player Gina Gleason’s debut on a Baroness recording.



The band, who tracked portions of the vocals, guitars and overdubs in Baizley’s home-basement studio, another first for them, eschewed their normal routine of entering the studio with meticulously detailed plans and instead opted for a looser, more improvisational approach that resulted in their most collaborative and emotionally evocative release to date.



Featuring John Baizley (vocals/guitar), Gina Gleason (guitar), Nick Jost (bass) and Sebastian Thomson (drums), Baroness received a GRAMMY Award nomination for Best Metal Performance for ‘Shock Me’ from the 2015 album ‘Purple’.

Wucan is a german rock band from Dresden, who like to describe themselve as Heavy Flute Rock. If one is to dive deeper into the artistic creativity of the group, it becomes obvious, why regular genres won’t fit here. Multifaceted and playful they deliver psychedelic riffs, progressive song structures with folk elements here and there, since their first album. Wucan fears neither the soothing melodies, nor the tougher pace.

Reinventing themselve with every release, the band and it’s singer and multiinstrumentalist Francis tobolsky never looser their distinct features. Ranging from short proto-metal tracks to epic 15 minute tracks like “Wandersmann” of their debut album or „Aging 10 Years in 2 Seconds“ of their 2-LP follow up.

On September 10, 2021 Wucan performed in the well-known Blues Garage in Isernhagen near Hannover. And German radio station Deutschlandfunk recorded the show, the first live album of the band, energetic and pure.

Polens BLACK RIVER besteht aus Musikern der Bands BEHEMOTH, DIMMU BORGIR, VESANIA, ROOTWATER und NEOLITHIC. Ihre Musik ist eine wahre und ungezügelte Hommage an die Tradition der musikalischen Härte, mit der die Musiker von BLACK RIVER aufgewachsen sind. Live-Konzerte zu spielen ist ihre wahre Stärke, wo die Professionalität und das Können der Band sie ran an die Speerspitze des Genres bringen soll. Easy Weapons was the debut from North Carolina’s Public Acid. Originally self-released by the band in 2018 in a criminally small press of 300, LVEUM is proud to finally get it back in print. PUBLIC ACID’s debut is an extremely ugly, powerfully distorted record. Taking cues from the outer fringes of both Japanese and Italian hardcore punk and combining it with the weirdness of early primitive black metal, pushing the feedback, noise and performing intensity in to the red from the first note. PUBLIC ACID execute very idiosyncratic song writing. Full of memorable riffs that twist and turn on a constantly out of control ride, which gives it a very urgent feeling of confusion and chaos. Rising Force is the first studio album by guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen, released on 5 March 1984 through Polydor Records. The album reached No. 14 on the Swedish albums chart, No.
60 on the US Billboard 200, and received a nomination for Best Rock Instrumental Performance at the 1986 Grammy Awards. It is regarded as a seminal release in the shred and neoclassical metal genres.

Steve Huey at AllMusic gave Rising Force four stars out of five, calling it 'a revelation upon its release' and 'The true inauguration of the age of the guitar shredder'. He praised Malmsteen's technique and 'blinding virtuosity', as well as highlighting 'his obsessions with Bach, Beethoven, and Paganini'.
In a 2009 article by Guitar World magazine, Rising Force was ranked first in the all-time top ten list of shred albums. The staff wrote: 'Yngwie J. Malmsteen was, is, and always will be the greatest shredder of all time. Hell, he invented the genre with his debut.'

Black Star' and Far Beyond the Sun' have endured as two of Malmsteen's most popular songs, as well as being staples of his live setlist. In a 2008 Guitar World interview, Malmsteen said of the two songs: 'I'll probably play Far Beyond the Sun' and Black Star' until the day I die.'

The two years since the release of their EP God's Right Hand have proved to be no fallow period for the band, who used the time to write and hone the 10 songs laid out on their self-titled debut. They returned to the majestic Holy Mountain to record the album. Making use of the studio's bumper crop of vintage equipment, Parish were able to unearth a sound that draws on the roots of heavy metal. The band's lyrics continue to revel in notions of the pastoral. Themes concerning the works of witches and the changing of the seasons are explored with economic and elegant storytelling. Songs of villagers besieged by strange travellers and poor wretches locked away in gaol conjure up a feeling of uncanny dread. Elsewhere, other songs suggest a sacerdotal attitude towards the earth and those who walk it. Parish stir up sweet memories of those subtle moments of perfection found deep in the discographies of heavy metal’s historic luminaries. Their sound reaches into places previously ventured by the likes of Wishbone Ash, Pagan Altar and Budgie, as well as folk revivalists Fairport Convention - a less obvious resource for heaviness, but a fine repository for musical depth. There is a moment near the top of jaimie branch's FLY or DIE LIVE, the new album recorded by the trumpeter's quartet at in Zurich, Switzerland on January 23rd, 2020, which feels like it bears the weight of both that specific pocket of time, and a prophecy for all that was soon to come. branch and her Fly or Die crew - cellist Lester St. Louis, bassist Jason Ajemian, and drummer Chad Taylor - had just kicked off the concert at Moods, with the opening tracks off their then-new studio album FLY or DIE II: Bird Dogs of Paradise, the second of which, "Prayer for Amerikkka" is among the best political songs written during the Tr*mp Era, and when the moment in question pops off.

Patti Smith, “the first published poet to move her poetry completely into rock 'n' roll and to entice experimental rock fans into the forbidden cinema of her hallucinatory fantasy” (New York Times), began her musical career unconventionally. It took off at a poetry reading where she was backed by Lenny Kaye on guitar; later star photographer Robert Mapplethorpe financed her punk-rock cult single "Hey Joe". In 1975, encouraged by her success, Patti Smith released "Horses", an album in which she fused rock riffs and spoken rhythms to create a punk-trash sound. The rock scene was electrified, raging about ”the best garage sound of the 70s” (Creem Magazine) and conjectured that Smith had “drawn up material from Rimbaud, Burroughs, Dylan and Velvet Underground into a hot needle and injected it under the skin” (Sounds Magazine). Later productions were dismissed as sentimental and self-loving outpourings, since the rock-poet didn’t continue in the same vein as "Horses", with its metallic harshness and raw language. That’s why this recording remains an impressive unique production by a visionary rock ’n’ roll singer.
