Reissue of this club classic from 1997, remastered for 2021!

‘Belonging EP’ is the blistering debut record from LUXE - the producer, DJ, composer and classically trained musician, based in London. She started her journey in Manchester, where she became part of collective and events series B.L.O.O.M. Since then, a move to London has seen LUXE established as a new Percolate resident and most recent signee to Radical New Theory, a label by HAAi and Alice Pelly.

LUXE’s genre-bending production blends a multitude of influences; from prog house and psychedelic trance to UK bass, techno and breakbeat jungle sounds. ‘Belonging EP’ showcases this eclectic sound - it’s a journey into the many sides of the dancefloor, and a statement of intent for things to come.

The project of Julien Huynh and Will Holden, Hybrid Man returns after releasing four spacious cuts of downtempo breaks and house in 2019. This time debuting on Butter Sessions, the tracks on Shapeshifting feel like a natural progression, equally well-crafted with the DJ in mind but with a slightly more trance influenced modus operandi.

Opening with 'Virtual Language', the duo seemingly nods in the direction of Richard H. Kirk's seminal Virtual State album, inspired by the futurism and warm robotic soundscapes of the 90s ambient techno scene. Dub FX and swirling basslines underpin the stylistic make-up of the EP, sharp breaks on the title track recalling 5AM catharsis in a pre-lockdown state of loved up rave bliss. Combining propulsive sequences with melancholic pads and melodies that are as easy to grab onto as they are lost the morning fog, the pair show a talent for holding the attention of the keen listener as they might the dancer. Indeed, those already attuned to the contemporary Australian underground might recognise Holden's name from his slower paced work with Low Flung (also previously on Butter Sessions).

From the Southside of Glasgow now the south side of Berlin, previously most notably The Burrell Connection, but also Alfie and DJ59, is now fully under the alias Dream_E. Kicking off the self-titled vinyl and digi imprint with a mix of Breaks, House & Techno, "Crushed" follows in hot pursuit of the acclaimed "Dreams On 22" Ambient / IDM album released last year on Pace Yourself and a number of releases via longtime fellow deejays, Craigie Knowes. A donation will be made to The Encephalitis Society following each release.

Heavenly Recordings announce the release of ‘Heavenly remixes 3&4 - Andrew Weatherall volume 1&2’, a brace of compilation albums collecting together some of the finest remixes from the label’s long-time friend, collaborator and go-to remixer. These compilations follow ‘Heavenly remixes 1 & 2’, which showcases some of the label’s other great remixes.

 By the time Heavenly was born in the spring of 1990, Andrew Weatherall was already an inspirational sounding board, as well as a fellow traveller on the bright new road that stretched out ahead, thanks to the massive cultural liberation of acid house. Back then every energised meeting could be turned into a fortuitous opportunity in this burgeoning new underground economy. Bored of your job? Start playing records out! Start a club night! Get in the studio!
Start a label! Just don’t stand still. Commandments Andrew would follow for the rest of his life.

 At the start of things, Andrew was a regular visitor to Capersville - the pre-Heavenly press office run by label founder Jeff Barrett (soon to become Andrew’s manager). It was there that he famously picked up a copy of Primal Scream’s unloved second album and singled out a
track that would later become ‘Loaded’, after being given an instruction to “fucking destroy” it by the band’s Andrew Innes; it was there too that the idea to remix the first Heavenly release
came about.

 Andrew’s mix of that first Heavenly record is very much a product of its time. ‘The World According To Sly and Lovechild’ is a swirling bass punch topped with a hypnotic marimba line and the kind of ecstatic diva vocal that you’d hear coming out of the speakers all night at postShoom clubs like Yellow Book.

 His take on the label’s next release - Saint Etienne’s ‘Only Love Can Break Your Heart (A Mix of Two Halves’) - would set the template for his next three decades of audio exploration. A drawn-out imperial dub, the track builds and builds with a moody intensity (partly down to the
melodica played by Weather Prophets legend Pete Astor) that’s far more Kingston JA at dusk than Kingston-upon-Thames at kicking out time. It’s both a dancefloor record to get lost in and
headphone psychedelia of the highest order - a perfect example of what he did better than anyone else.

 Between 1990 and his untimely death in 2020, Andrew fed more Heavenly bands through the mixing desk than those of any other label. Consistently, he returned visionary music to the
office, often in person for (at least) one ceremonial playback - a ritual that would involve the volume cranked up high and Andrew rocking back on his heels, eyes closed, lost in the alchemy of it all.

 Each time, he would warp and twist originals into beautiful new shapes - elasticated club records that might evoke Detroit techno one second and Throbbing Gristle the next, before wheel-spinning into something akin to The Fall produced by King Tubby.

 Andrew’s studio adventures would always be guided by that early advice to destroy the source material. It’s why he was the first name that came up when remixes were discussed; the first number on the speed dial. Listening back to these remixes now - to thirty years of glorious outsider sounds - it bangs home again just how fucking good Andrew was.

BEAM is excited to present the long-awaited debut EP from South London mainstay, Rudefood. Across 4 tracks, the listener is welcomed into a radiantly eccentric habitat, in which freakish prog, entrancing breaks and wiggly tech are fused together with a unique melodic sensibility. The title track ‘Cloud Hop’ moves with a terrace-friendly bounce, in which pulsating sub lays the bedrock for a fluidly evolving lyricism. The cascading synths of ‘Undercurrent’ trawl the nether regions of tempo, teasing agents of higher intelligence from their slumber. On the B-side, ‘Without a Trace’ matches pastoral psychedelia with stuttered breaks, channelling multiple U.K. auralities. To close, ‘Shift’ sees rolling, crunched out throbs emerge from surging swirls, flirting with the thresholds of disorientation.

Including wanted vinyl tracks by Tiësto, Nalin & Kane, Chicane, Blue Alphabet, Marco Bailey, Tomaz vs Filterheadz, The Mackenzie and The Moon.

Embrace is the sixth studio album by Dutch trance DJ and producer Armin van Buuren. The album features hits like “Another You (ft. Mr. Probz)”, “Off The Hook (ft. Hardwell)”, “Looking For Your Name (ft. Gavin DeGraw)” & “Heading Up High (ft. Kensington)”. Other notable collaborators include Angel Taylor, Cosmic Gate, Eric Vloeimans and many others. The album was originally released in 2015 through Van Buuren’s own label Armada Music. Critics noted how the record has a poppy, commercial appeal, but still allows the emotional essence of trance music to shine through.

Embrace is released as a limited edition of 2500 individually numbered copies on black & white marbled vinyl. It comes with a
4-page insert with pictures, lyrics and credits, and the run-out groove contains secret inscriptions.

Warp Drive gets flung into hyperdrive by your local enigma Rudolf C and the B side is a case of nuclear audio fission, splitting the duo so their individual and technical flair can shine. No doubt you’ve crossed paths with something hot on this disc in the encompassing party atmosphere; four straight up essentials for a function of chaos.

The title track breaks in the EP with frisky righteous drums, precision in rhythm; swinging stylishly. Cosmos loom within reach, infinite rolling with baselines built for the long haul; an expertise in tension and release revealed through sonic sweeps and delicate filter explorations. A match made in heaven, Rudolf C has been gliding on similar trajectories; elevating the Warp Drive to a celestial level; the Psychedelic Envisionment accentuating the original's intricacies whilst maintaining the swagged flow and dancefloor steeze. Distorted pulsations and modulations swirl above head to signal the B side split show; driving bass anchoring the higher frequency expeditions, Lisene mastering the spectrum of sounds with Moral Panic and breaking up the 4/4 pursuit. Originally released by Warp Records in 1993, Nail's 'Cassiopeia' has since turned into a timeless deep trance classic. Luca Lozano's interpretation sits somewhere between a remix and an edit, swapping out the original drums for an 808 and some breakbeats. Originally intended only for personal use on the dance floors, Klasse Wrecks is pleased to announce it is now available for public enjoyment via a one-sided white label. The record is housed in a translucent orange sleeve, comes with a 42x60cm 'Klasse Wrecks' poster and is limited to 400 copies only.

Originally released in 2010, Mirage is the fourth studio album by renowned Dutch trance DJ and producer Armin van Buuren. One of the biggest trance hits of the new millennium gets a 2020 makeover and a fresh squeeze on hot wax. Push – Strange World is given the remix treatment by Belgian dynamic techno duo Joyhauser, alongside the anthemic 2000 Remake. What can you say about M.I.K.E. / Push, the guy is a legend, a musical genius having crafted countless tracks under several guises, and he is still going as strong as ever today. Taken from the album, From Beyond, Strange World really hit the big time in clubs and festivals thanks to its soaring melodies and euphoric climax. It spawned a swathe of remixes and reissues over the years and no wonder it raises its head once again. Joyhauser are Joris Cielen and Stijn Vanspauwen, a techno outfit from Bilzen BE. They share a deep passion for electronic music and have been smashing dancefloors since 2017. Their sound is a hybrid collection of genres, creating unique flavours which grabs attention from all quarters. They’ve played all over the world and to date they continue to perfect their sound, releasing quality music with devastating effect.



The Joyhauser Remix adds a thundering techno vibe to the original sound. Huge, powerful, arena style kick drums lead the way alongside crispy hi hats that slice through the murky basses. That distinctive, highly infectious melody seeps through, building us up the break where the main hook comes to life before climaxing back to thundering techno mode. Twisting synths and gritty basses greet us on the drop, locking us in for the duration. An absolute stormer of remix that is not to be missed.



Who could forget that legendary riff on the 2000 Remake? A track that captured the imagination of the dance music world, becoming a go to track for many jocks. A hybrid groove that dished out an energy laden vibe with a tech edge on top of an uplifting synth riff that gets the hands in the air. An absolute classic and always a must have in any collection.

The first vinyl release from s2i Recordings introduces Fader Cap (previously Sedgwick). An existential trip across 3 tracks recorded in one 12 hour session, with the source material written for live-performance in early 2021. Heavy on the 303, with rhythmic propulsion for the breaks-inclined heads. Tinged with heavy nostalgia for the atmosphere of DIY sound systems in the Australian bush.

2020, a year that will be forever engraved in our memories as Year One of the Covid debacle.

So much has already been said about it that we feel there is no need for more.

However, 2020 was also the year when we’ve released Tapan’s remix to Decha’s song Niebla from her sold-out debut album Hielo Boca as part of MT0028 Decha - Hielo Boca Remixes. This remix led to a fresh collaboration between the Serbian duo and the German vocalist, which in time bred a brand new track, titled simply TWENTY.

On Twenty, Tapan’s massive bass lines, heavy kicks and their sense for drama and epicness, meets Viktoria Wehrmeister aka Decha’s soft poetic lyrics and tribal style. The result is a massive slow yet heavy tribal industrial track for the alternative dance floors and late night situations in dark dark basements.

The record is comprised of 4 tracks, an original version and a beatless version as well as a deep and trippy dancehall interpretation by our favourite remixers Full Circle (aka Joakim & Alexis Le-Tan) and a punky mid-tempo banger by Mexican maestro and total inspiration Rebolledo who gives his signature sonic attitude to his interpretation of the original track.

We’re excited to present our next 12” vinyl. This time, we go back in time once again with a brand-new remix of an absolute classic. Yves Deruyter’s Calling Earth was a mega hit back in the day, now in 2020, the track has been given a makeover by electronic music icon, Umek. From those early days at Bonzai, Yves has been at the forefront, dishing out countless tracks under his own name and a host of guises and collaborations. Still rocking the scene today, producing and DJing for the masses, he has surpassed 35 years as a DJ and it doesn’t look like he will be stopping anytime soon. His tracks have a tendency to find their way into modern sets, holding their own in timeless fashion. So, it’s no surprise that in 2020, Umek decided to have a go at remixing this popular track, which has been played by the likes of Adam Beyer and even got an airing on BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix. Slovenian artist, Umek, started out in 1993. He was pioneering the sound in his country, bringing the music to the masses at such a young age. In 1999 he founded Consumer Recreation and Recycled Loops and has went on to churn out a plethora of work on other world-renowned labels. He currently runs his latest label, 1605, with great success. His fast mixing skills and uplifting sets earned him the most prestigious of gigs and has played a Radio 1 Essential Mix in 2007. A multi-award-winning artist, Umek continues to deliver the goods, and this is just one example of his genius. What is more special about this particular release though, is not only is it a limited edition, but each vinyl features a unique colour pattern. Three colours will be present, blended together in random sequences to achieve the most vibrant tapestry. This will give the records their own character and will be the talking point of many collections.

On the A-side you’ll find Umek’s Remix. Staying true to the original, while bringing in a strong, contemporary Techno vibe. The intro boasts that familiar scratchy synth before monster kick drums take over alongside a pulsating bassline. Tension mounts as the layers pile on, we’re teased with the main melody until it’s unleashed on the first break to the backdrop of a gnarly, gritty Techno pad. The second break brings in those playful percussions that track is so famous for, resolving in a slowed down tempo and then back to full-on mode for the duration.

The B-side features the glorious Original Mix. First released in 1994 as the A-side to IV (backed with Rave City). The track opened with that hollow tube sound laced with bright hats, leading to a solid, pounding beat and then on to that infectious melody line. This one quickly rose to mega status among throngs of ravers and DJ's. A string of remixes followed as well as multiple releases over the years making this the ultimate classic.

Berlin based record store and label, Kimchi Records invite you inside their world for a third time this winter, with the next EP from the label landing imminently.

Heading up the release is co-founder of everything Kimchi, Patamamba. The South American producer makes his debut on the label showcasing a genre-straining five tracker meandering between classy breaks and innovative electro, all with a certain refined ambience, similar to the energy you feel when visiting their store.

We are super excited to release our first own Tracks, especially as a physical Vinyl! With that, we hope to gain more Sachsentrance vibes beyond just DJing and setting up sick Parties. G TOWN RECORDS returns in style with a sophomore release from Brisbane’s finest - X CLUB. Following on from enthralling electro and techno EPs on Steel City Dance Discs and 1Ø Pills Mate respectively, the pair show their full deck of cards with ‘NOW OR NEVER’, a four track representation of driving top down in the pouring rain.

Having risen up through the ranks of Brisbane’s colourful club scene, Ben and Jesse’s electric pairing has offered up some of electronic music’s freshest tracks in the past year; these four being picked straight from the root, pressed directly to wax and straight to your doorstep via Galway City.

We kick off with ‘Concentrate’; an unrelenting rolling mesh of drums and tense vocals that culminate to X CLUB’s almost signature UK break sound that doesn’t skimp in intensity. Following on from that we’re met with one of the most in demand tracks of the past year following constant radio and club play, ‘Inna Trance’; an audio representation of a noughties donk and trance fan’s Las Vegas wedding gone wrong.

We flip to the B side where the aptly titled ‘SPORTS THAT REQUIRE PETROL’ takes us back to the gym for a performance enhanced drum workout before drowning us in pads and letting us up for air as we approach the emotional crescendo that is the final track. ‘Elevation’ sees the listener don their best Ryan Gosling-esque driving gloves before embarking on a rain soaked journey to finish the job; it really is NOW OR NEVER.
