This is the 22nd release on RIOT Radio Records, an independent techno label based in Scotland.

Moscow based Bermind AKA Ksenia Volker is a producer and DJ who’s known for her twisted, distorted and atmospheric industrial techno that often verges into the experimental realm. A tough kick, overloaded percussion and an all-encompassing ambience of agony permeate every track she creates while the DJ sets she lays down are overtly tough and powerful, showing no signs of mercy.

Continuing with our ‘Limited As Fuck’ series of 12”s, the menace that is Bermind brings her unique and insanely berserk sound to the RIOT label with full force on her first ever vinyl release.

There’s seven obliterating tracks on this incredibly scored industrial paragon including an intro and an outro with all Hell breaking loose in between. The full width of Bermind’s compositional excellence being exhibited is a startling piece of twisted production with sounds reminiscent of an Akula class hunter-killer attack submarine on the warpath in the deepest darkest recesses of the oceans during the Cold War. Full of dark ominous pandemonium from the get go, including a lethal remix by Green Fetish Records boss Mickey Nox, the sheer brutal power of this weapons grade release will having you running for fear you’re under nuclear attack, literally.

This is the 21st release on RIOT Radio Records, an independent techno label based in Scotland.

Cymbol is the brainchild of a twisted mind-meld specialising in various forms of sonic manipulation via techno and fragmented electro. Formed in 2001 by former members of Wave 7 as a reaction to the generic club music of the era, their style is a fusion of intense polyrhythms and intricate synthesis composed with a combination of software and electronics ranging from harmonic electro soundscapes through to dissonant 'baby in the blender' doom montages.

Continuing with our ‘Limited As Fuck’ series of 12”s, Cymbol have come out of the shadows to unleash their first full release on the label after appearing on our ‘STAY TUNED Sampler Vol. I’ V/A triple vinyl album with ‘Transient’ a couple years ago.

There’s four utterly savage tracks on this wraith like manifestation. Starting off with the beat of heavy tribal overtones it twists and turns into a jacking frenzy, followed up by an intense militaristic march, ending with such annihilating terror it perfectly epitomizes the full spirit of bone crushing techno.

This is the 20th release on RIOT Radio Records, an independent techno label based in Scotland.

Devoted to music from a very young age, Nomad has been writing electronic music and DJing for the last three decades. His DJing skills earned him gigs at many of Scotland’s top clubs and in Europe, eventually taking up residency at Edinburgh’s legendary ‘Dogma’ where he helped shape the infectious club with his rampant track selection and turntabalism. However, 2015 saw him change direction, craving something other than DJing in clubs, which resulted in the spawning of highly successful radio shows and record labels under the RIOT banner.

Continuing with our ‘Limited As Fuck’ series of 12”s, with his very first release on his own label, Nomad finally unleashes his instantly recognisable form of brain twistin’ techno with three screaming tracks, literally. Starting with a drilling acid workout that’ll rip your mind to pieces, it continues to send shivers down your spine as the howls of ‘Hannibal’ take you over the edge, plunging you deep into another brutal acid laden frenzy to finish. Definitely not for the faint hearted.

Esoteric German imprint MASK are back with another untitled release featuring six modulated cuts.
The MASK imprint have steadily built themselves a reputation within the electronic music world honing a sharp production style which lays focus on effervescent, live jams on hardware gear. The previous six
releases on the imprint have garnered an array of support from some of the scene’s most respected names including the likes of Laurent Garnier, Danny Daze, Dan Curtin, Machine Woman, DJ Deep and more
names, with MASK continually delivering the goods.
The ‘A1’ kicks thing off with warm pads sitting gracefully underneath the sweeping percussive groove whilst ‘A2’ focuses on resounding kicks, otherworldly undertones and enlightening leads in the distance. ‘A3’ is breaks-tinged cut featuring spiralling chords, syncopated rhythms and luscious melodies floating above the spacious yet swinging flow.
On the flip, the ‘B1’ offers up dreamy pads, shimmering synths that bounce delightfully off the vibrant hihats in this late night, deep house gem. Low-slung electro drums, ethereal melodic keys, scintillating bass whirls makes up the inspiriting cut that is ‘B2’ before the ‘B3’ delightfully rounds off the release with gentle soundscapes underneath the pensive ambience and German vocals.

Three warm analogue techno cuts and a rolling ambient outro. The works are unreleased from 1999 - 2000 by underground producers Activ-Analog. All tracks were recorded live in one take - Hardware used includes MPC 3000, Roland SH-101, Roland SH-09, Roland Juno-106, Korg Poly-800 and a Crumar Performer Analog String Synthesizer.

Exactly 25 years ago, in January 1994, U-TRAX released an EP from a new young talent from the Utrecht area. His name: Frank de Groodt, who's debut Missin' You EP immediately established his name as a techno and electro phenomenon. This re-release of the original techno beauty is the first of two releases that U-TRAX will put out in January 2019 to celebrate Frank's 25th anniversary as a recording artist.

Frank at the time lived in Hoevelaken, a small town outside the city of Amersfoort, which is where he was born and lives again these days, some 30 minutes northwest of Utrecht. For his first release he picked the rather unusual moniker Pieces of a Pensive State of Mind as his artist name. Later in 1994, he released his first 12"-es on Djax records as The Optic Crux, and he continued to keep making up artists names in the following 25 years: Sonar Bass, Fastgraph and The Operator. He is also one half of the live outfit Random XS (together with U-TRAX veteran DJ Zero One), collaborated with Arno Peeters (a.k.a. Spasms) as Urban Electro and with Detroit's Dennis Richardson as Ultradyne. And that's not even all of his alter egos.
All four tracks on this re-press have been remastered for maximum impact, including two versions of the title track.

Like all beautiful art, Missin' You is inspired by heartache, referring to a lost love. This track appeared a year prior on the notorious Drome Tapes cassette label, the predecessor of U-TRAX. The Awax Reorganisation is a remix by U-TRAX label boss DJ White Delight, with the help of DJ Zero One and Frank himself, transforming it into a long ambient-ish technotrip. The flipside is where things get even more exciting, with the funky Detroit-techno style Echoic, still a favorite of popular modern-day DJs like Hunee. We have to issue a small warning regarding the closing track: the bassdrums are deformed by a flanger and reverb and the combination with the latest record cutting technology makes Channel Pressure not only a freaky and pumping track, the disorienting sound can also make the audience on the dancefloor a little nauseous!

Martyn's output is nothing short of brilliant, he's a true force to be reckoned with. He's had many, many releases over the years on some of the world's best labels including Don't, Earwiggle, Perc Trax and his own Emetic imprint. This isn't the 1st time he's appeared on RIOT Radio Records either. A well as appearing on the Sampler LP, he'd previously been recruited by us for remix duties on our 3rd release by Ingen which was nothing short of spectacular.

There's two original tracks on this 12', one remix by Codex Empire and two remixes by Somatic Responses. The full digital release also features an additional 'Full On Rave Assault' remix by Somatic Responses which plays at a blistering pace.

Originally released in 1999, Trocante Gramofony E.P. by Nomex is re-pressed in a limited edition of 100 copies on black vinyl from the original plates.
Trocante Gramofony opens with the monumental ‘Fire Is The Centre’, followed by two other Nomex masterpieces, ‘Life Destroy’ and ‘No-Step 2000’, as well as three speaker-destroying fragments and locked grooves.
Official release date is May 10, 2021. Only 50 copies are available for general distribution, the other 50 are reserved for the Praxis online shop and bandcamp.
Trocante Gramofony E.P. was originally released in an edition of 500 copies on transparent white vinyl as Praxis 33.
It was a departure from Nomex’s releases on his own Adverse label and was naturally quite different from the DJ Scud collaborations on Maschinenbau. In relation to his other solo work, Trocante Gramofony is perhaps less conceptual and more composed.
‘Fire Is The Centre’ features vocal snippets recorded at a Dead By Dawn party sometime between 1994-1996. Some of these snippets had been used on the Dead By Dawn record by Shitness & The Jackal, but here they were embedded in a surging wall of noise spread over the first side of the record, complete with crackles, shrieks and ever
mounting intensity.
The second side opens with ‘Life Destroy’ an intense collage of voice, noise and music and ends with ‘No-Step 2000’.
Tracks don’t end in orderly fashion, instead the needle jumps out of the groove or is locked in a loop. The flow gets interrupted in the middle of the side of the record. These elements are again vinyl specific and can’t easily be transported to the digital realm, and this is one reason we decided to make this brilliant record available again in its ideal format, the vinyl 12”.
