Percussion mastermind Ploy arrives on Dekmantel with a double-pack of unbridled dancefloor heat that sees him reconnecting with his house roots.

Before he made a striking breakthrough as Ploy with wayward broken techno for Hessle Audio and Timedance, Samuel Smith's first releases as Samuel were leftfield house excursions. On this release for Dekmantel he wanted to reflect on a decade of releasing music and the many high-impact dancefloors he's shared with the label, from Selectors to De School, over the years.

The common denominator across these eight tracks is no-nonsense house, offering up grooves that will serve a DJ exactly what they want in the mix. At the same time, Ploy doesn't dilute the distinctive edge of his sound, from the abundance of perfectly balanced percussion to the nagging hooks of an off-key synth line dropped at just the right moment. Wry samples inject the mischievous humour he's always creeping into his craft. This is where dancefloor magic is nurtured, hitting the sweet spot between rock solid reliability and the wild card energy that brings a heads-down set to life.

ER gladly welcomes Juan Barraco aka Bunda to our catalog. Bunda is an Uruguayan producer/live performer who’s been linked to music since a young age through a classical approach with a later interest into electronic music production.

Origen EP is his debut vinyl release delivering a solid four-tracks record: dancefloor-oriented pieces on each side’s first half and two downtempo tracks as second choices.
A1 ‘No hay salida’ is a proper dancefloor piece featuring a stomper and sticky kick drum along with a non-stop bassline hypnotic pulse. A2 ‘9º Mandamiento’ features a different sound landscape with a hint of Arabic melodies in synths and basslines programming.

On the flip side B1 ‘Stardust’ crafts a more sci-fi-bleepy grooving Techno sound while keeping an hypnotical atmosphere all along. Bunda shows a different facet in B2 with ‘Xep Nuit’, where he shows his skills and creativity in musical composition and sound picking.

The third installment of Hypnus' Serum-series introduces two wonderfully swirling deep techno cuts from Swedish producer Hardstedt Under Molnet with interpretations by Hypnus adepts Luigi Tozzi and Ntogn.

The record will be pressed in 180 gram marbled vinyl (transparent blue and white); sheathed inside a hand-stamped and undyed inner sleeve. It will be limited to 300 copies and released under the July full moon.

The project by Jens-Uwe Beyer and Thomas Venker boasts a remarkable origin story. In 2017, Venker, co-founder and co-editor-in-chief of Cologne’s Kaput magazine, hosted a gathering at Beyer's house, bringing together journalists, creatives, and musicians. To mark the occasion, the pair decided to join forces for an impromptu ambient-electronic performance, presenting themselves as a two-man band. That evening, donned in special costumes designed by artist Sarah Szczesny and fuelled by a generous amount of Japanese whisky, Hasan Poppu was born. Over the course of the pandemic, the duo thought about creating a record based on the live recording of their premiere show. However, the synergy of their collaborative creative energies led them in entirely novel directions. Their self-titled, double-sided album traverses a wild and raucous terrain, moving swiftly from hybrid noise-techno to giddy party ecstasy, to strange and shadowy atmospheres.

Including remixes by YPY, Hibotep, Lena Willikens, Efdemin and Barnt, the 11 tracks span a dizzying array of experimental dance-facing styles. 'Die-Biden' kicks off as a high-vibrational vocal experiment seemingly voiced by a sentient German vocoder. 'Kodō' follows, featuring Venker's playful mantra set against a stomping beat. Willikens' reimagining of 'Teiko' transports the track to obscure realms inhabited by strange creatures emitting ungodly sounds. Meanwhile, Efdemin's take on 'Ekusutashī' pulsates with a kinetic buzz. Flipping over to the B-side, 'Sakura' is a euphoric wall of drone punctuated by eerie whispers and mystical singing. Then, the second installment of 'Kodō' takes a fresh trajectory with a touch of Barnt’s electronic groove stylings. Finally, Hibotep's 'Shojo no yo ni flp' serves as the finsher – an unrepentant trance belter that disintegrates into sampled fragments. Loosely translating to "broken pop music," Hasan Poppu is informed by Beyer and Venker's shared love for Japan. The band takes their cues from the country’s rich sonic cultures while also drawing on Venker's wordsmith background and Beyer's flair for melding melodic tech-house with song-based synth-pop. Originally out on Beachcoma Recordings, Hasan Poppu’s debut album gets a new lease of life on Osàre! Editions with a digital and limited edition cassette tape release. KaioBarssalos has returned to Planet Rhythm with a remarkable EP and his debut vinyl offering on the label, certain to captivate all techno enthusiasts.

Calling Mattheis a pillar of Nous'klaer Audio would be an understatement. Founded in 2013, the label was at the time solely created to put out Mattheis' Isms EP. Now, twelve years on, we present his latest album: Waiting for the Silhouette. The forty minute LP full of dreamy techno bliss explorations starts out, and is glued throughout, with ethereal modulating synths. Dreamscapes fuse into scattered drums and shifting patterns briefly usher in changing phases. It's in these moments when the unworldly contours take form and are built upon by other emerging elements. Waiting for the silhouette is a record about things coming to life, outlines that start to appear and shapes evoking memories that could as well be premonitions. Minimalism and maximalism become indistinguishable on this album, through the trip in between. Artwork by Frederic Dumoulin. The record is cut inside-out and comes with a downloadcard.

Office Recordings continues to surprise us. After Baaz' Techno-/Ambient-hybrid on Office 011 the label from Berlin comes up with a stunning new and anonymous project called 'One Day' featuring four also unnamed tracks. The A-side of the record starts off with a with a superb Deep Techno track which tempts us with very emotional pads and a strong kick and bass fundament - an irresistible combination. A2 goes in the same direction but feels like the slightly mellower and softer brother of its predecessor - a little bit moody but still straightforward at the same time. The flip side is dedicated to two freestyle electronic tracks standing in the tradition of the best Warp offerings from their heyday in the 90s. We're talking charming melodies and sparse but elaborate rhythmic patterns. The record comes in a hand stamped and with a lovely artwork also hand made by Office art director Super Quiet. All tracks have been mastered and cut by sound engineering proficient Pole at Scape Mastering.

DJ Balli, master of breakcore extravaganza and Sindaco, the tropical-electro creator present Mutant Goth Italo: a mutant fusion between shiny Spaghetti-dance freshness and gloomy Goth music shadows, sung strictly in Italian by the androgynous voice of Ossydiana.

Here, gleaming tensile techno forms clean, straight lines while scratchy acoustic guitars scuff up edges to produce

ghostly audio. Poetry is snatched from the overhead, removed from the overheard; words borrowed from the ether are

spun into dizzying new shapes, sometimes reappearing in new settings, twisted back to front, side to side. Each track a

very different room - some soundtracked by little more than metronomic kick drum and robotic voice, others deep in

layer upon layer of melody and euphoric noise - and each room unmistakably, uniquely Underworld. The only advice

from Underworld’s Rick Smith and Karl Hyde upon entering: “Please don’t shuffle.”

We shall never apologise for our love for the work of Steve O'Sullivan. His contributions to the world of dub techno are second to none. They are also mad consistent both in style and quality which means they never age. Here he steps up to Lempuyang with his Blue Channel alias alongside Jonas Schachner aka Another Channel for more silky smooth fusions of authentic dub culture and Maurizo-style techno deepness. Watery synths, hissing hi-hats with long trails and dub musings all colour these dynamic grooves. They're cavernous and immersive and frankly irresistible and the sort of tracks that need to be played loud in a dark space. In that context, you'll never want them to end.

Len Faki returns to his own label Figure for a first release after the arrival of his giant FUSION LP.
Opener Zig Zag stays emblematic for Faki’s signature style, a lean and effective slice of modern day techno: muscular and well-balanced, this driving tool keeps it simple but dynamic and the energy always moving. Loop 10 is a collaboration track from long-time label mates Len Faki, Jeroen Search and UBX127. Combining the best of three worlds their distinct loopy elements are talking back and forth, gluing the track together - can you figure out who is who?
Another strong collab, Morgana is a piece of mesmerizing dub techno, created together with the new Figure addition Jancen (check out his recent EP Inner Labyrinth!). Spacious yet powerful, this one builds patiently before it comes crashing down with elegant force. Finishing off x48, Faki adds a version of his own opener, detuning the unnerving synths, fragmenting percussion and adding some atmospheric vocals.

Mathame Unveil Their Latest Masterpiece: "ANGEL"

Renowned for their groundbreaking contributions to electronic music, Italian duo Mathame is set to captivate audiences once again with their latest single, "ANGEL" Conceived in January 2024 amidst their vibrant tours across Mexico and Asia, the track marks a new pinnacle in Mathame's illustrious career. Critics have lauded "ANGEL" as a real summer anthem, perfectly capturing the essence of summer vibes with its infectious energy and uplifting melodies.

In February 2024, Mathame's journey took them to the heart of Manhattan, NYC, where they collaborated with the equally illustrious Italian duo Parisi. Credit 00 is still doing his thing with PUT THE FUNK BACK IN 2 TECHNO, saving you from the horrors of today's life with a bunch of stirring tracks to dance against oppression. On his seventh EP for Uncanny Valley the Leipzig based funkster finds solace in his craft, doing what he does best. And that is to make dance music that is both undeniably catchy and blessed with an ever-surprising range of ideas and styles. What all the tracks have in common is that they have been written by someone who is deeply committed to the roots of dance music. On top of that, he has the enviable ability to find titles that already give you a hunch of sound and message of the tracks, even before you listen to them. Be it the title track with its wild Detroit rhythms and piano sound bits or the closer YOU NEED 2 CHILL, a still highly danceable ode to 90s chill out floors. While the stomping BRAZILIAN BUTT LIFT gets use of Credit 00's own voice, the chords heavy CHURCH FOR THE RENEGADES is a perfect example of inventive use of vocal samples. 3024 is excited to announce "Panta Rei", the long-awaited debut album by London-based, Italian artist Ehua. This album, which comprises a collection of songs crafted over the span of a year and a half, is not just an exploration through sound but also a significant milestone in Ehua's personal and artistic development. For the first time, she explores her vocal expression while also incorporating a range of percussive and other analog and acoustic instruments, resulting in a distinctive set traversing various corners of the bass music continuum.

Accompanied by unique artwork created out of concrete by Jeroen Erosie, a booklet with background and photography and a short eponymous film, 'Panta Rei' represents an intricate 'gesamtkunstwerk'. An exciting blend of various media with contributions from a range of artists, of course all centered around Ehua's beautiful and intimate music.

"Panta Rei" will be released in May, available on vinyl, as well as digitally and in booklet format. 3024 X Planet Wax are hosting a launch event on April 24th in South London.

As one of the most prolific and influential producers of the last thirty years, The Hacker’s imprint on electronic music already spans genres, eras and scene revolutions. And still, there’s more. In spirited collaboration with friend and fellow French journeyman Endrik Schroeder, the first release from The Hacker & Endrik Schroeder Project eschews EBM excess or gritty electro. Instead, two introductory tracks slip into the continuum of evergreen underground techno, influenced in equal part by the digital soul of Detroit, and the futurist experimentations of Sheffield.

Quickly escalating from a classic beat to a hoover-rave ascent determined to fill the vacuum of any warehouse, ‘Puissance’ is an unapologetic anthem that doubles as an elegant and impactful introduction to the Hacker & Schroeder partnership. Hypnotising dancers with ever-more forceful acid oscillations, the pair masterfully stave off the pressure with a wide-eyed organ riff, played live and direct from rave heaven.

‘The Voyagers’ contrasts with a cosmic groove, certain to satisfy heads-down bleep purists, while dedicating time and space for the charisma and quirks of this machine-led dance to shine through, including emotional pads and whispering voices, par excellence.

Spincycle records presents the second imprint on their label – a two track split EP from Neil E & Big City Bill on 180g heavyweight vinyl.

Bill and Neil met deep in the mountains 20 years ago.
With work drying up in the mountains, they tobogganed into the city to find their calling.

For years in dim garages, they studied with diligence strange hieroglyphs projected on the wall by the reflection of fluorescent lamps through emptied vessels.
At first, none of it made sense. All they knew was that it was important.

They began posting their findings online, and after a time of thinking they may have gone crazy, they began to receive anonymous messages: “Click here to join a guild of amazing artists: link redacted.”; “Follow me, and I’ll follow you back. Let’s grow together!”; “Do you want 10k+ follows? We can help!”
This was the encouragement they had been waiting so eagerly for. And so on they went. They joined a few guilds and continued to hone their practice, mining their depths, searching for that ineffable thing, whatever it was, wherever it was locked away.
After years of deep contemplation, the breaking of sacred tools, fiddling around, and the collection of various bevelled talismans, a revelation struck.

Two fantastic thoughts struck them both simultaneously.
These are those thoughts.
