Independant label founded in 2016. Based in Brussel, Belgium, AEXP will propose some music made with vintage analog machines (Roland TR-909-TR-808-TR-707-TR-606-TB-303-SH-101-MC-202-JUNO-106-MONOPOLY-MPC-60-LEXICON-PCM-BOSS...). For it's first opus AEXP will transport you right in the middle of the nineties. You will immediately recognize that legendary pure analogic sound.

This EP is only for ravers who needs to revive this special warehouse feeling.



A-Side is totally oldschool acid with a first solid acidish track immediately followed by a pure acidcore banger that will unleash full energy once spinned. Third track is more like an intro/dj tools with that sound sampled from real industrial machines.

B-Side starts things off with another life, a splendid another dimension track that combine synthetic melodies with a subtle acid touch. The two other tracks are more psychedelics with crazy rhythms and hypnotic melodies. Ideal for 707 lovers.

Old school Hardcore opening on a 140 BPM trap for 280.... B side is a bit more hard... both sides brings honest good familly tunes. Nice project.

Notes: the nose of clarity (one + two) is obscure and mystical techno with a hypnotism rhythm construct. part one is coming for the long nights in the clubs and bringing darkness dance moves. part two is more deeper and darker with a slowly trippy and layered loop sound. on the flip side the obsession (from don«t«be on acid ) dwntmpos rework is downtempo sound in perfection. the rhythm is going straight in the head and bring the deepness with a slowly pitched vocal in front of all understanding. the second rework is more dub influenced with warm chords, delays and echos from a other galaxy. The 'Taste the Difference EP' from the excellent Slidebar Records dishes up something unique where modern Techno is concerned. Axel Sohns the label founder expressed how he wants to mix up the old and new styles of Techno and give people back a sound that quite simply makes you not only want to dance and leaves you thinking 'how the fuck did they make that sound'

Dibu-Z - Pyroclastic Flow
The E.P. serves up the perfect starter. Dibu-Z's pulsing electro bass breaks into a chunky concoction of electronic murmurings and gets the EP off to a perfect start. There is never a dull moment every sound is well thought out and unique. This tune alone is worth the money for this EP. It will fill a dance floor in seconds and if it doesn't your playing at the wrong party.

TSR - Matlagningsmusik
Main course. Yet again TSR bring something deliciously funky to the table. The Deep groove is controlled until the lead synth decides to, quite simply, get up and leave and then all manner of madness prevails. At times this track leaves you thinking 'that's genius' but then what else did you expect from TSR.

Thomas Schneider - Schwarze Flut
This is dark and deep like a vintage port. The bass pulses menacingly throughout the track whilst the vocals twist and wind their way through the darkness. Turn the lights down or off and let the walls shake.

Oliver Rosemann - Murky Beer Can
For desert Oliver goes full fat with this sugar coated groove that mixes old and new styles beautifully. The groove struggles to break free but is kept in check whilst the beat pounds on but every now again the lead comes out to play. This is a perfect example of how Techno should sound.

Scott Robinson - Explain
Scott serves the bitter and black 'wake-me-up. The chopped up bass line propels the listener through a maze of industrial and mechanical bangs and clangs; if robots could party they would probably bang this track on.

To sum up, if you are sick of 'Template Techno' then this EP is for you as it breaks the formulaic mould of so much modern electronic music. You can certainly Taste the difference after this Techno Feast... simply perfect to keep you up on those hot summer nights.

Slidebar arrives at number 9 and brings out rocking tunes from the

Switzerland-Crew. This time they have a special guest. Michael Forshaw
the UK legend from Blackpool and owner of Chan'n'Mikes.

The opening track 'Where It Is' from Smees starts with punchy beats and
wobbling basslines which smash you into the ground. For 'Donkey'
Michael Forshaw takes you back to the old acid days. Stomping kick
meets 303 creaking with the extra Forshaw touch.
The B Side starts with Rock-Tron from Fugo. Heavy electro breaks
combined with distortion bleebs is his philosophy for the prime time.
Next Artist is Nino Fight with his Flying Flower. Pure analog sound
with a unique groove is his secret weapon for the dance floor. Ki-Yota
rounds off the EP with Bad Equation. Linear UK Techno with heavy
synth-sounds.

Users of the S2T site did vote !! And the result is this EP, bringing the 4 best techno tunes among all the users of S2T... The result is a quiet old school techno/Hard Techno EP.

Opening with Buzuc and his no-reverb kick, surrounded by some discret electro starters and a fat claphand... Simple and efficient. Second tune, from Lowpsy is my fave her...A south vibe, light kick and acid textures. Little techno in the vibe of the Energizer : yes, this is the south ! No doubt !! Dasoon bring the B1 : a will of dancefloor, kicking and a bit electro, but still very progressive and sober... Hard Techno stuff. Last track, from Actinid is a tribal transecore frontier tekhouse little thing, more classic and international in the sound, well done.

Acid minimal tribe, intropection travel sounds... Bringing some Old School tribe tricks and a very good feeling. Dancefloor mental sound.

Acid joys, a collection dancefloor perls, rather techno than tribe... Superb Drop Bass Style sounds.

First side brings a Techno Psychedelic tunes, Live system.

While dj-ing at a party in Slovenia Glenn Wilson met up with producer Mike Humphries and realised they had similar music & production tastes & set up Punish Records Which they use to release most of there own productions. The raw edgy techno it was releasing soon got noticed by the likes of dj rush and Dave Clarke just to mention a few, and with the classic punish 4 release 'Aural exciter' the label truly got accepted as one of the great uk techno labels.

'INVERSO' is the new vinyl sub-label of Kript Records, whose concept is based on the meaning that the word assumes in different fields, in mathematics for example the 'INVERSO' Ratio means that the product of the variables always remain constant. But the word 'INVERSO' is also a concept that leads to an exact opposite of what it assumes.
These two meanings of the word 'INVERSO' inspire all the tracks of the label, characterized by a "Noisy and Distorted" sound, where symmetry and asymmetry live together and where analog source and analog processing give a great touch of depth.

After a long threatening of being kicked, the first track shout its underground acid waves in the best way possible... Second track brings also a good dry kickerbended and aiming an impossible horizon... meeting some industrial acid sounds. Last track breath some good fresh air, with a balade kick and a happy acid bleeper. Once again an excellent record full of personality. Enjoy !
