6 Bloody good tunes with a particularity : It sounds mental but it is not because tunes are changing their kicks or their environement every 64 mesures... It's a very well done thing to drop people into mental and then turning into shouting crowds again... Excellent job !!! Tunes are a bit short but they have a comon feeling and speed so the EP is finally easy to mix :) ENJOY !

DAWL is one of our new skool producers who is a master of capturing the sound of the early 90’s raves. A genius in the studio who is capable and competent to be able to navigate between genres with skill and finesse.

First track is an industrial pityless underground pearl, chaotik and noisy, with a solid antigroove feeling... The second track, more regular for the dancefloor is still quiet industrial... Starting a bit hardtek and minimal which is quiet DJ friendly, it soon turns into a hardcore noise sound... This record plays 33 but bass are so loud that you can dare a 45 for a maximum speedcore experience...

Bufobufo is a producer who has released many great electro breakbeat inspired releases over the last few years but is also a published author. Namely is book on the history of jungle and drum & bass titled ‘Renegade Snares’, which documents the history of the culture during its formative years. These two tracks by Bufo forge together the world of electro visions into the gritty underbelly of breakbeat. And fighting out of the Amen Brother corner we have DJH, who made a name for himself as a 15 year old producer on Dance Force Records in 1993 and Crashead, who first came to the rave world’s attention on Bionic Sounds, again in 1993.

This release brings together the best of the electro world and the finest of the hardcore world and creates a release worthy of a place within the collection of any dance music connoisseur.

The Rhythm Section – raves first super group - consisting of Ellis Dee, Rennie Pilgrim, Newton and Ritchie T. The group disbanded in 1993 after the rise of jungle as the guys didn’t want to go in that direction and felt their job was done in building the rave scene to what it was. But then in 1995 they had a request to reform and tour America as the rave culture was growing out there. So, they did reform, minus Ritchie T, and embark on a rather rave induced tour of the US with all the antics that you would expect from those guys!

They also wanted to make some new music for the tour and The Sequel album was born. Though written in 1995, they guys purposely kept the sound retro, calling upon their knowledge of the late 80s and early 90’s London warehouse scene.
Released originally as a limited edition double album which commands a high price on Discogs, this is part one of a two part repress series on Vinyl Fanatiks.
