Butter Sessions swiftly follows up Sleep D's May release BSD-01 with two complimentary heavyweights for a 12" release, Freak of Nature. Listeners may feel acquainted with the tracks as both have served as a staple in Sleep D's live set over the last 12 months.

Freak Of...is a strong beckon of electro-tinged techno that lures with a fearless pulse and an entrancing inflection, utilising the faithful sounds of the Roland Jupiter 6, Super Juipter and TR-09. The follow-up echoes basslines and percussion to overtly fuse the two tracks together. Naturetaps further into Sleep D's homage to the live techno greats of the 1990s and early 2000s, mirroring their vigorous and eager momentum. Overall, Freak of Nature hits as an anesthetic swirl of brisk looping and thoughtful production.

Japanese dj/producer, DJ WADA has over 30 years of DJ
career. His reputation has grown as accurate technician. On the producer side, he formed Co-Fusion and Atom with Heigo Tani (a.k.a. WALL FIVE), they have released over 20 titles on the labels as Reel Musiq, Pro-Jex, etc. This is the 2nd release from his own label 'Diretta' launched 2014. A side is with electro beats featuring jazzy hones. Side B is minimal techno track with piano sample and freestyle drums taking you to a long journey.

Julien Chaptal is an electronic assembly — part French electronics, part Detroit synth machine, and part Dutch minimal robot (as part of MFD, Le Clic and Amsterdam661). Purpose built with a modular brain, Julien’s performances are switched on, live, utterly groovy, and while pulsating with machine wiring, undeniably human.
Chaptal's newest record, The Way, was conceived after a few too many knobs were turned on his Octatrack, sending Julien tumbling through time and space to capture decades worth of dance floor musical influence before returning home. Tresor's newest release features BNJMN on Body Reflections Pt. 1.

The four track EP captures a uniquely subdued mood that resides at the nexus of ambient dance music, and that integrates seamlessly with Tresor's penchant for restrained and dub-inflected techno.

Each track on the EP introduces symmetry and rhythm in the form of organic percussion. "Overskies" and "Enceladus" are more lethargic and ethereal, each blanketed with discordant melodies and arcing synth lines. "Hadal Zone" is more dance-oriented - here, a sophisticated interplay of percussive elements loop over plaintive vocals and soft harmonies. "Syzygy" then brings the EP to a techno-focused close with driving kicks, oscillating synths, and repeating minor chords.

Body Reflections Pt. 1 is deeply illustrative of BNJMN's affinity for creating nuanced and delicately balanced layers, and a culmination of his vast experience.

Lina & Gwen Wayne have become notorious for their techno sets throughout Germany and Europe, maneuvering from insider to headliner depending on the premises. Worm & brutal, like falling face first onto the concrete floor on a warm summer night, is the first track "Palaber" by Lina & Gwen Wayne. This is techno and for the moment these two producers from Hamburg and Berlin are your new horizon.

The two DJs started producing together in late 2019, with their no frills & dark, but fun style translating effortlessly into their own productions. The second volume of previously unreleased material from cloak-and-dagger Swedish electronics project Civilistjävel!. Until last year's 1 LP their work - created mostly in the 1990s, using Juno60 and Korg MS20 - had never been officially documented or disseminated. The tracks assembled on 2 pivot away from the lonesome, levitating kosmische themes of 1, and into a dronal, dubwise, heavily psychoactive minimal techno realm. We've never heard anything quite like the steamrolling, monolithic, kickdrum-centered epic that spans all twelve icy minutes of Side 1 - never, that is, outside of a recurring dream we've had since childhood about a recommissioned Northern Rail train smuggling munitions behind enemy lines in a future rural Yorkshire as part of humanity's guerilla war effort against shadowy, possibly entirely imaginary Mysteron-like oppressors. Erm...The other two pieces that constitute this LP are paranoid, broken, sub-heavy constructions that have echoes in Jan Jelinek's Gramm or latterday stuff from Hidden Hawaii, but always with that reserve and austere, out-of-time feel peculiar to the true European mutant/drone underworld. Seriously, how had this stuff not come to light before now?!

The new music label ’Macarena Musica’ features musical contributions by ’Macerena’ resident artists and special guests - all of them share a big love for ’La Macarena’ and Barcelona. The passionate crafted releases come as limited vinyl-editions and extended digital packages, complete with expressive black-and-white artworks, capturing the atmosphere of the club and the streets of Barna.

For the debut release, ’Macarena’ longterm-resident Patrick Zigon teamed up with his friend Paulo Olarte for ’Belleza Tropical’ - a declaration of love to the club and the heart warming vibe of Barcelona, which is strongly coloured by the latin way of life. It’s not surprising at all that this beautiful inspiration led Patrick Zigon to a tropical excursion into the deep cosmos of latin-infused Techno and House music. As in many previous collaborations, Paulo Olarte refines the productions of the Berlin-based producer with his naughty vocals, resulting in a poetic and love-driven statement for the latin familia. ’Belleza Tropical’ is the first glimpse into Zigon’s third studio album ’Between The Lines’, coming up in summer on his ’Traumraum’ imprint. Beside the Original and Instrumental versions, the single features remixes by the Spanish master of hypnotic techno, señor Eduardo De La Calle, Paulo Olarte and Blanali (digital only). Cadenza Records kick starts it's 10th year in the game with 'Hunter', a release that balances the warm and cinematic productions of Martin Patino's original mixes, with the dark and powerful remix by young upstart, Julien Bracht. With previous releases and remixes on labels such as Freerange, Suara, Trapez and Rotary Cocktail, Patino is carving out an expansive and eclectic deep house sound, and his talents are perfectly captured on this release. 'Your Lips, Underwater' is a track that's been bubbling under for many months, a percussive and melodic groove wrapped together with heavy analogue bass and teasing jazzy keys. Title track 'Hunter', featuring the vocals of Astrid Hald, is a powerful, brooding production. The house groove develops perfectly, with the melancholic vocal back dropped by the dramatic and haunting pianos and strings, evoking shades of Massive Attack production values. 'Hunter' is a stunning and very original piece. Cadenza's newest signing, Julien Bracht, supplies a remix of 'Hunter', offering up an all-together different shade to the original. Aptly titled the 'Darkmix', Bracht gets busy deconstructing and reconstructing, taking just mangled snippets of the vocal with swathes of rumbling, aquatic bass washing over the reverb soaked, drum heavy routine. Deadly!

Norken lands on Third Ear with a true Techno Soul record (Eddie Fowlkes would approve). Gorgeous bass lines. Wonderfully crisp drums. Lush emotive pads and strings. Destined to be regarded as one of his best records.

Benjamin Vigneron, also known as Vronsky, was born in 1991 in Aix-en-Provence, France.
As a Teenager, drawn simultaneously to Visual Arts, Cinema and Musiproduction, he made his first contact with Techno by working for a local club as a graphic designer. During his 20s, while living between Montreal, Canada and Marseille, France, it was revealed to Benjamin he suffered from a heavy bipolar disorder. As a reaction, he started losing himself in free parties and increasingly dangerous habits.

Gradually learning to love himself despite his flaws, he kicked his risk-taking after he realized the love of music prevailed over anything else.
Equipped with a strong desire to share his vision despite not being able to perform as a DJ, Benjamin started a youtube channel and a collective named Listening Blue.

Following up his recently-released remixes of Scuba's single 'The Hope' on Hotflush, Plagent Records boss Recondite returns to the label, this time with a solo 12" titled DRGN / Wist 365. Recalling some of the moodiest moments from 'On Acid', his recent LP devoted to the sounds of the 303, this debut shows Recondite stay true to his sombre and tension-inducing roots. 'DRGN', the sonic equivalent to traversing a bleak end-of-times landscape, is a journey replete with a relentless, melodic sib-bass and vibrating synth; on the flip Recondite gives the 9-minute long 'Wist 365' a drum workout, resulting in a progressive, menacing groove, awash with wind chimes and 808 claps.

The Hivern split series was born as a platform for club-ready tracks that don't require a broader sonic context to express themselves. It's also as a way of generating an unplanned dialogue between artists in the label's orbit, connecting the dots amid them in spontaneous and almost unconscious ways. The third installment of the series brings together Beesmunt Soundsystem and Cooper Saver. Their two tracks share a similar approach, deconstructing ethereal sounds over dark rhythmic foundations to reach the same kind of narcotic transcendence. The visual concept of the series has been developed by London-based design studio DR.ME. Vinyl-only.

Matthew Dear has unveiled a new alias, Brain, which will debut with a double-EP called The World on Planet E. It’s the latest in a long line of trackier Matthew Dear aliases, including False, Jabberjaw and Audion, whose 2006 classic “Mouth To Mouth” came in at number 20 on Resident Advisor’s Top 100 Tracks Of The ’00s feature. The lead-off cut on the inaugural Brain release, “Boss,” was first heard on Carl Craig’s Detroit Love Vol. 2 compilation.

Eho Kates is a new project by techno luminaries Todd Gys and Brendon Moeller. For trainspotters already familiar with their revered back catalogs, this outing is sure to offer some unexpected twists. The record is a grainy, caustic blend of atmospheric intensity, rhythmic dexterity, and occasional moments of sublime grace. Completely fresh, outsider sounds made with a beginner's mind and unbridled enthusiasm for sonic exploration.

Debugger is a new project from Richard Knight examining the hazy area between late night headphones and early morning dancefloors. Based somewhere in the middle of natural beauty and urban decay in the North of the UK, Debugger creates a hybrid sound of artificial soul with a skewed groove. Making inorganic sound sources seem natural and organic sound sources seem synthetic; the outcome is a concoction that is both deep and laced with absurdity.

Knight has been active with unusual sounds in and around Manchester for several years and can usually be found thrashing hard drives until they produce music. His techno influenced releases under his own name and pseudonyms have received support and airplay from John Tejada and Daniel Steinberg among others.

SCI+TEC has been successfully growing its family of artists over the last decade, with now over 200 releases, label owner Dubfire continues to nurture new talented producers, as well as those more established. Together the label has created a steady
stream of top-notch underground releases year upon year.
Next up is this wonky four-tracker from Guti and David Gtronic. Regulars when playing together, this is the debut
release from the South Americans as a collaboration team.

Opening with stompy ‘You Will Be Mine’ the duo are quickly into their stride with a solid bass groove supported by weird sweeps, 8-bit FX and vocal snips. In dub form, the groove is further stripped back for complete dance floor domination.

Over on the flipside, ‘Acid Ramen’ opens with a bongo groove ably assisted by acid touches and percussive energy. Covering bass, mid and high frequencies, the interplay of acid layers will make Josh Wink blush! Truly exceptional modern-day acid house.
Rounding out the pack, ‘Pin Pun’ is a straight house vibe with full body kit added.

Starting out innocently enough, once the acid hits begin the wonk is out for all to see!

'It Takes Three' to make a thing go right.. to make a thing outta sight! So here we see the third vinyl release ready to spin, offering up a new Made-in-Italy four track package.

Anie Tera takes the lead on the release with 'Deus Sex Machina' with a dark techno concept, using an organic rhythm with straight drums and a pure analog feels stitched deep into the arrangement.

With 'Il Complotto' he throws in a retro electro mood with many sudden drums fills that float into this lovely melody. The driving arp are accompanied by organ refrains that come in and out.
Opening up the flip side is the Berlin-based Italian duo composed by Laurent Ci & Andrea Caioni, with 'Oper67', a peak time dancefloor track. Here the duo goes back to basics: automating,
shuffling and dancing.

'Eolie' then closes the Ep with a strong nature. The inflected paths which cross each other, the enthralling drums and the acid incursions lines make every moment always crucial.
