Head honcho of Thule Records and an originator of the Icelandic techno scene Thor joins forces with Matt Thibideau, one of Canada's finest. The result is a masterfully crafted atmospheric glacial dub techno journey from beginning to the end. Transparent Thoughts EP includes, apart from the original, an astonishing home-brewed remixes by Matt Thibideau's project Altitude and by Thor himself. Altitude mix is deep, and has some serious dub treatment but still packing nice punch for the dance floor. Thor brings his signature sound to his rework; full of heavy dub-techno influences and a mix of techno and deep house beats. Essential for the serious vinyl-jockey. Thule Records is considered by many to be a pioneers in the field of dub-influenced techno music and was a starting point for many of Iceland's most renowned electronic musicians

Hexagon Cloud RMXD celebrates the diverse influences of Erika's solo release Hexagon Cloud on Interdimensional Transmissions Marcellus Pittman remixed the hypnotic Tow Ride from Erika's debut Solo album with a stated goal of making it darker and "more evil". Canadian electronic music duo Orphx, remixed Hexagon Cloud, resulting in an immense, impeccable production. BMG, Erika's mate in Ectomorph, also shares his vision of her track, A Cellular Meltdown.

Things gettin' faster and more toolish on the second OSMUND AUDIO release. Alexander Brandl's Second EP is made for the dancefloor. His drawing board is the modular synth, that spat out three massive groovers with chords from outer space, super thick bass lines and a raw and reduced sound design with roughly edited drums.

For the 15 years of Terminal M festivities it was a sure step to also get back into our catalogue and obviously listened to the older releases again. And it quickly came to our mind that Monika Kruses @ Voodooamt's classic 'Passengers' album from 2003 still is a true gem. So we reworked and remastered the whole album and asked close friends to select a track they wanted to remix. Oliver Huntemann, Alberto Ruiz and Skober immediately agreed and surprised us with their great new interpretations.

Since Stefano Noferini's debut release on Monika Kruse's label Terminal M Records in the beginning of 2015 he released some more of his hi quality clubtunes on his own label Deeperfect, Toolroom Trax and Stereo Productions. For these three new tracks he teamed up with Metodi Hristov from Sofia, Bulgaria's capital who's releases and remixes on Rejected, Time Has Changed and Noir Music were always sure chart toppers. It was never the acts plan to release a best-of album, especially at the unusual 15- year mark, rather, it rolled into motion naturally as a way to immortalise the victory of being around so long (in a scene where the shelf life for most artists doesn't last much longer than an album or two, fifteen years is something of a triumph). With that, Extrawelt invite those that were there from the start to join them in getting a kick out of being “officially mature”. And for those that were not, to have the chance to hear their story up until now, like it’s never been told before. And yes, while the listener may have outlived many of the clubs which first introduced them, it is unlikely that anyone has outgrown this brave,
intangible and absorbing music—one that is all theirs, but all ours, too. A sound which is still as relevant today as ever it was; feeding the older generation’s electronic-itch while also enabling the newones to go totally nuts.

On the Other Side from France "Only Slave Nation" part of Def Raw Music Concept group (DRMC) and releases on HighPath and signatune, sending us the closure for this record, a couple of deep sounding tracks that resemble France popular way of music making.

A distillation of cultural memory through electronic process, James Place - the creative guise of New York native Phil Tortoroli, returns with his third release for Umor Rex. The sonic realization of love and loss, re-sculpted for the Post-Modern age, pursuing his glacial take on techno into newly intimate depths.

Departing from a line in TS Elliot's Four Quartets the moment in and out of time', its works take form through the haze of a dream. Over the course of several months Tortoroli tracked heaps of live stereo jams at home, jamming on his drum machine, sampler, polysynth, and effects setup. Poring over these hours of hazy jams, Tortoroli heard himself straining for an additional voice to further emote. Rifling through a vast library of old bounces and experiments, Tortoroli rediscovered the music of Sam Sally to complete Voices Bloom, resampled live and again subdued into explorations of an old practice'.

Voices Bloom is the musicality of cultural collage, immensely personal and intimate, arms stretched out, gathering diverse sonic worlds. The artist and his craft as a self-reflexive lens for an electronic age - a sonic patchwork heard from afar - impressions of memory, drawn close to the heart. Within the album's cool displaced tones, rise nostalgic romances, drifting rhythmic works which defy the beat. A world where time enters multiple frames, those possible, literal, implied, forgotten, and remembered anew. The final results on Voices Bloom are the most reflective yet from James Place. The hopeful kosmische beats and hauntological synth music on previous albums, and more delicate melodies, riding crisp minimal rhythms that flow elegantly from vignette to vignette. Rhythms of abstract techno with glistening melodic lights.

Rhythm Buro's fourth release is a much anticipated EP from one of it's co-cofounders, Na Nich aka Alexander Pavlenko. Pavlenko has been making music for nearly 20 years, most notably under the alias Sunchase. With the latter project, he was known in the drum and bass world as something of a child prodigy, but more recently Pavlenko started applying his artistry towards soundscapes that can be filed into the techno category. In the last four years he's been first and foremost involved with Rhythm Buro, a techno initiative, party series and label from Kiev, Ukraine, that has since become well-regarded among DJs and dancers internationally.

This EP marks Na Nich's first solo EP, following a track featured on Semantica Records' anniversary compilation 'Arquitectura del Sueno', along with a few tracks appearing on Rhythm Buro's previous VA releases.

RB004 opens on the A1 with a track entitled 'The Key' which is one of the first tracks made by Na Nich. The listener is gently introduced to an ambient wonder wall before some percussive elements open up and synths set the mood: a transportive journey led by a kalimba-infused melody which swells with a certain ambiguity that seems to lend a shamanistic touch. A2's 'DVA' is a more four-to-the-floor dubbed-out gentle fist pumper, with melting synth melodies and foggy layers backdropped by steady reaching high-hats and a consistently wise kick drum. A strong element of the psychedelic and inquisitive is much present.

The B side of the record is another part of the story: B1's 'Log' is an epic night-finisher dreamscape, a strong element of space seems to be the focus here as beats play less present in this foggy cinematic soundtrack to a film that has yet to be made. The remix version by Luigi Tozzi on B2 reminds us how deep this prolific Italian artist can take us down the rabbit hole. For fans of danceable, groove-centered and thought provoking tunes to loose one's and find one's mind to.

With releases on the likes of Organic Music, Housewax and (djebali), plus a string of stand-out EP’s via their own labels Sintope and Sintope Digital, Timisoara’s NTFO have established themselves as key names within the realm of minimal and deep house since making their production debut back in early 2008. Having released their ‘Esperantza’ EP on the label last year, here we see the pairing return to Bondage Music in fine form to open their account in 2019 with the impressive ‘Dobr’.
Title cut ‘Dobr’ opens the EP as the duo quickly go to work, introducing a slick blend of sharp drum shots amongst snaking bassline patterns, whilst ‘Blissed Out’ combines organic percussion licks, punch low end tones and warping synth leads to great effect. Next, the first vinyl only track on the package ‘Riddin’ welcomes dubby pads and crisp hats before flowing steadily into the slinking, metallic tones and 303-tinged bass stabs found throughout ‘Standers’.

Maurizio Vitello returns to Metroline with some seriously deep bass-driven techno. A devastating EP. The lead track is a driving, stripped down techno groove. Full-bodied toms and a seriously fat bass keep the track rolling while filtered vocals and understated synths add the dynamics.

Bourbonese Qualk legend Simon Crab meets Charles Beullac (Galerie Statique) in a volley of brooding, dubbed-out industrial/illbient misfits for Lisbon’s Holuzam, the young affiliate label of the renowned Príncipe Simon Crab is nothing less than a true pioneer of British post-industrial music, with a catalogue of prototypical dark ambient, groove-driven industrial, and hardcore techno practically unparalleled
in his field. In collaboration with Canadian artist Charles Beullac, ‘Kenemglev’ speaks to the range and nuance of Crab’s output while introducing Beullac’s likeminded industrial audness to new ears;
yielding nine tracks of sleepwalking industro-dub rhythms and tormented electronica blessed with a nocturnal allure that places their work in fine company amid Holuzam’s roster of off-road esoteric groovers.
The title ‘Kenemglev’ means “consensus’ in Breton, and smartly describes their mutual efforts to explore a sort of neutral no-person’s-land or virtual middle ground between their respective musical languages. In suit, all the tracks are titled in Breton - itself a mix of French and English - and their un/familiar nature is reflected in the music’s angularities and secretive feel, roving from Mille Plateaux-like glitch in ‘Douakek’, to the air-stepping pads of ‘Direnker’, and crispy noirish jazz hustle streaked with intercepted radio signals and keening crowd noise in ‘Razheta’, while ’Skaotan’ comes off like a glitching Raime workout, and the squashed break trip of ‘Berzh’ recall
Spectre or Scorn.

This killer EP from Samuel Dan starts as it means to go on with the massive Sample Loops, and has been custom-made to keep those hands in the air.
