Depth Over Distance is back for its 5th release with local Odette showcasing her talent. Three cuts threading the line between vibe and dancefloor, with a bouncing Rowlanz remix to complete the Falsa Magra EP. Important: all records are uniquely different visual versions with a mix of colored, marbled and transparent vinyl, making each record 100% one of a kind.

Piezo returns to Facta and K-LONE’s Wisdom Teeth imprint with a 5 track EP of experimental, warping, majestic club music. Since his last outing on the label, the Milanese producer has refined and consolidated his aesthetic considerably: through a spree of crucial releases on his own label, Ansia, and then with the release of his essential debut LP, Perdu (released in 2020 on experimental powerhouse Hundebiss). LSD Superhero sees him bring together the goofy, club-ready aspects of his output on Ansia with the meticulously crafted cybernetic sonics of his debut LP, but with the addition of something new: melody. The title track opens the record with house lights up: glitching percs build around gasseous pads and trembling subs in a drawn out climax that finally collapses into a rolling technoiddembow beat at its midpoint. Next, ‘Unto’ squeezes the producer’s wonky, sub-heavy sonics into a 4x4 template - one of those special 5 am tracks that will appeal equally to dubsteppers and minimal heads. (Remember that time Shackleton appeared on Perlon?). ‘TB2’ - a collaboration with label head K-LONE - balances nectar sweet melodies with bust-up drums and glitching FX hits, while ‘Dijitz’ sees him flex his full melodic knack for an eyes down, half-stepping synth workout. To close, ambient wobbler ‘Xxx^_^x’ refracts bass music sonics into something sprawling and shadowy - like an old Benga track exploded and

G-Prod are French brothers David & Nico Gaugain, who make deep techno, hugely influence by the sound from Detroit. Quickly gaining support on the scene from key DJ's Josh Wink, Laurent Garnier, Dave Clarke, Dan Curtin & Fabrice Ligue, they have released on a well respected list of labels such as R&S, Soiree, Appian, Nightflight, Nebulae, Like, Lumina, Restructured, Visillusion, Specimen, Nice & Nasty, Logos, Intellitronic Bubble, Bakroom, Biotech, Naeba. Their latest release is on David Duriez imprint Brique Rouge. Remix duties go to Reedale Rise, an artist who is fast gaining an established following touring with his live sound and with releases on quality labels such as 20/20 Vision, Ornate, Frustrated Funk, Subwax, Boe Recordings, his remix will appeal to those who like their electro for the dancefloor.

Canadian based Pheek and LA-based Kike Mayor collaborate to deliver two original tracks that take you to different realms of the electronic music spectrum.

A1. "No Chance" demonstrates an evocative mood; a hypnotizing pad that evolves and vocals that compliment a stirring, minimal groove.

A2. "11" is backed up with a funky persistent bounce, quirky percussion hits, and a subtle yet catchy melody that keeps your ears hooked.

The originals are remixed by french producer DoubtingThomas adding his "Dub Side of the Mood" interpretation, and Berlin-based Chad Andrew and Just_Me with their retrospective take of "11".

In music, there is a beautiful thing - when it hits you, you do not feel any pain.

As if formed from the vapors of sewer sender's previous releases, Eletun Selona renders two pieces that have roots far down in the ground, while the air above is allowed to escape mysteriously unseen yet obviously present. A1 forms a body of evocative sounds using rhythm as its core, while A2 reminisces the allurement of A1 with enthralling melodies. On the flip side detroit resident segv elevates the embodiment of Eletun Selona's works. The detroit mix decodes the A-side in a sharp manner, while B2 concludes segv's feature with a deep interpretation, wrapping up the release in a solid execution.

Blurry as the night and bright as the stars Mäteriet joins the fray by levitating into the system. They open their gem-covered robe and reveal all the treasure collected throughout their many journeys.

The Hon (A1) sets the mood just right alluring us into an almost hypnotized mindset. Moniker (A2) extends the grip Mäteriet has taken around us further over a rumbling bass fit for the system we traverse.

Rolling Thud (B1) gives off an almost machine-like air around it, hissing and blowing off excess steam while moving seamlessly between syncopated rhythms.

Shine Grooves Acoustic Remix (B2) opens up to a link to the outer reaches of space for B1 and lets Mäteriets work sing, in their own words “my synthesizer and sequencer painted this picture”... and oh what a pretty picture they have painted for us.

Christine Benz presents the record (PIRAT002 ‘Bangkok’) on her label. This is a new vinyl release after the lockdown which will bring you back to the good old times of 2004.

She produced the main track – pushing at a proud 133 BPM - at the airport in Bangkok.

The guest remix is offered by none other than Ion Ludwig. He casts that additional summer-sunshine atmosphere on an entire B-side.

It's been a while since our last release but Aurea is finally back again! This time with a solid four tracker where you can find how Fibonacci's works its magic in a release. The blend goes from funk to techno achieving a great balance on this record.

Rube Goldberg Series has summoned together an outfit of competent creators for its fourth excursion. Each artist has coordinated their contraptions in an elegant and precise manner, to produce interesting results. So stimulate your senses and take a sip of this rich blend.

Four sides of frisky, twitchy tech-orientated grooves, spacious enough to be pliable, desirable DJ tools in the mix but embellished with enough melodic frills and spills to work under their own steam. 'What Are We Going To Do?' kicks off proceedings, with a rhythm that owes a bit to the skippy US garage energy pf Todd Edwards or Roy Davis Jr, stripped back but with a slinky bassline and mysterious mutterings voices adding additional atmosphere. 'Free' operates under similarly slanted syncopation template but counters it with echoing dub effects. 'Want It' and 'Colour' populate sides three and four, a little more low key but still steady, solid club tracks that should warm up your public nicely. Constant entertainment.

The story of each re-release begins with the original. In the late 90s, Uwe Zahn (Arovane), along with Robert Henke (Monolake) and Stefan Betke (Pole), began releasing music on Torsten Pröfrock’s (Dynamo) newly launched DIN label. This was a very inconspicuous undertaking, but fans of the flourishing IDM, glitch, and constantly evolving abstract techno genres quickly picked up on the quality of sound coming out of Germany. After a few successful EPs, Zahn began working on his debut full-length, Atol Scrap. The release was a success, at least in the underground circles, where followers of the melodic harmonies, stuttering off-beat rhythms, and, most importantly, advanced sound design feverishly consumed the imprint’s output. There was only one thing missing – the album was never pressed on vinyl, and for decades remained in the digital domain. The fans, of course, inquired. There were multiple offers on the table, but Zahn retained control until he was assured that it was properly attained. “I thought of taking everything into my own hands and releasing the record myself,” says Zahn, “but at the end of last year, Matthias from Keplar asked me to re-release Atol Scrap on vinyl.” The label and its owner revolve in the Morr Music universe, and so it made sense for Zahn to trust the platform to treat the record right.

Listening to Atol Scrap over twenty years later it is inane not to admit how well it has held up. Where other genres clearly aged, becoming stale, bland, and dull, the music on eleven tasty tracks still keeps the neurons tickled with each note. More than an echo of the past, the bottled sound truly has matured. Many of the newly evolving techniques are recognizable on the album. “I created the digital artifacts with a digital multi-track recorder, the Fostex D80,” recalls Zahn. “The thing had a scrub wheel with which I could achieve wonderful glitch effects by winding through the audio data. I have sampled and further processed these artifacts.” And this approach is still embedded in Zahn’s sound design. “I still use my 24-track analog desk from Tascam to mix my audio. I love to use hardware synths and samplers. I’ve definitely built upon my studio experience in the 90s.” From this debut to the most recent output, Arovane’s sound has evolved to become more intricate, detailed, and pronounced. “My music has become much quieter and much slower. But that’s probably also due to the noise in the world.” And just as Atol Scrap reminds Zahn of the past, retaining charm preserved in a container traveling through time, it also jitters memories of long ago, when we were twenty years younger, less experienced, and bold. For me, among the many records of the time, this album held a special place in life, my heart, and many CD boxes moved across the world. And now I’m only happy to restock the vinyl space, where Atol Scrap belongs among the beloved records. Welcome home. - Mike Lazarev

Yalta is a resort city on the southern coast of the Crimean Peninsula surrounded by the Black Sea. This place has heavily influenced a talented artist Pavel Milyakov also known as Buttechno. This album is his dedication to Yalta, but it's not just about geographical location, it's about a special and sacred state of mind and soul that the producer calls "Yalta". This very personal work of a mature author reflects his deep and multifaceted approach to the research of the sound language.

Delft-based label Omen Wapta's second release is An, an EP by Japanese producer Yuki Matsumura. Born and raised in Kochi, Yuki has previously released two albums of avant-glitch techno through Moph Records and Artificial Domain. On his new EP, the artist continues to pursue a sparse and introspective sound, defined by his heavy processing and editing techniques, labyrinthine sound design, and distinctive rhythmic patterns.

The idiosyncratic musical style and production practices by Sheldon, Sidney Thompson (aka Sid Le Rock) are shaped by the DIY electronic-music movement that has encouraged his creativity to develop and thrive since the late ’90s. This is a contributing factor to his impressive discography that currently stands at twelve albums under his various aliases, including Sid’s collaborations with artists from various fields and musical genres such as Depeche Mode, DJ Koze, Placebo, and persistent impressions of the journeys he has made throughout the world as a result of his live music performances.

These invaluable experiences are the supplements for his next important leap forward as follows: As a tribal member of the Algonquin First Nations, Sid seeks to explore his ancestral heritage to uncover the traditional, ceremonial soundscapes of the Native American indigenous peoples as an integral component for his new solo album project – Invisible Nation. It is his respectful endeavour to bind this seamlessly together through his knowledge of music theory and his own distinctive production sound. Sid Le Rock’s current album concept is a fusion of traditional music and organic elements utilised by the Aboriginal peoples of Canada, combined with the modernisation of electronic-based music. Mixing of both sound styles achieve balance with a shared importance to rhythm as a source of impulse and functionality. It is his equitable attempt to produce and deliver a complementary synthesis of sonic peculiarities, modern electronic methods and the repurposed use of ceremonial music, to showcase a profound pride and pay homage to his forebears.

The Algonquin First Nations otherwise referred to as Anishinaabe, are a group of indigenous peoples present in the Great Lakes region of Canada. They consider music and dance to be sacred and an integral part of their lives. It is a culture in which it heavily relies on rich oral traditions to pass on its stories, teachings, history, and cultivates their verbal language. Membranophone, idiophone, aerophone, and chanting are traditionally essential components to our sacred sound, "Drumming is the heartbeat of Mother Earth, chanting is the heart”. This musical connection produces a narrative depth that can transport an effective atmosphere to dance-floors, bridged by the unconventional virtues, to which electronic music permits limitless possibilities. Sid Le Rock’s latest release, marks his eighth studio album – Invisible Nation, is an exploration into his cultural roots, combining myth and musical expression to bring forth a prideful nation.

The debut EP on Council Work from label owners Frankel & Harper. The Trimmers EP contains 2 originals, the first in the form of "LHR.AMS", a heavyweight slice of UKG with strong influences taken from the European house scene and also their drum n bass background. "Trimmers" is a raw dub and jungle infused cut with a sub layer guaranteed to shake speakers stacks. INSTINCT joins for a remix and switches things up by adding a catchy vocal which definitely passes the old grey whistle test.

The track comes along as an edgy and rough tech track with a rough but remarkable bass melody which probably won´t leave your head anymore.

On the flip side Extrawelt once again prove why their sound is so distinctive. They pull the theme into a new dimension and add an extra portion of madness.
