Osman Strauss Split EP presents two great deep-house tunes by Rahmi Cihan & Dj Credes! "Abgebrecht" on the info-side by turkish-rooted guy Rahmi Cihan is an outstanding shaker with a quote of german litterateur Berthold Brecht flowed by Rahmi himself. "Honz" on the logo-side by Dj Credes combines interplanetary groove, with a soulful speech of a beautiful jazz-queen, which create a deepkickin southflavoured late-nite hymn. Rahmi Cihan is busy in producing and playin music since over a decade now. Being beatsport member since day one his contribution to this split EP is the well compromised result of long-year experienced flow including dark-dub vocals, major chords and echoing bells. "Abgebrecht" for real can be described as Rami's personnel signature tag of authentic dancemusic. Dj Credes was discovered by bespmusic in
2010 and now it's time to pop his cherry with "Honz". The house-addicted vinyl lover delivers a dark scattered bassline, funky claps and a resonant burning synth line. Piano licks, vocal snippets and an acid line driven peak time speech issue proper instructions to the crowd.

Roger is back on his Memento Records, the underground Italian label he started with long time friend and musical soul mate Idriss D. His new Ep 'The Secret Garden' shows a further departure from the early minimal-techno infused tracks he became widely known for: an original approach to structure and composition and a research for alternative sounds make these three recordings shine with fresh light and energy. Title track 'The Secret Garden' comes up with a funky-inspired groovy bass line, along with bouncy vocal snippets, catchy snare rolls and mesmerizing synth stabs. 'Magic Mirror' deep acquatic pads and percussive rhythm are perfectly designed for the dreaming dancefloor crowds, with doubled-up voice samples in the break giving a dizzying effect, while 'Back Door' reminds of Fabrizio's more upbeat and punchy vibes, with time-stretched choruses and high-pitched percussions peaking after a crescendo of delays and reverbs. Label boss Aroy Dee signs for his already 8th release on his own MOS Recordings label. The track 'Beauty' reminds his label's first release, a basic dreamy melodic house track. On the b-side we find man of the moment Rabih Baeani aka Morphosis dropping a heavy remix. Hot on the heels of his praised 'What Have We Learned'-album takes his dark dusty 'Cabinet'-remix all things in perspective.

The eraly years of a decade are good times for exploration, just like in 1993 when we (Alex & Sasa) first started working together. We rented a huge loft space on Ave B & 2nd St. in the East Village in Manhattan. The winter was tough, we had 16 snow storms and due to a landlord who hated everybody, we had our heating turned off except for a few hours in the morning, sometimes not even that... The only way to stay warm was to wear hats, gloves and scarves the whole winter... But that was fine because nightlife was a lot of fun. There was a good club/party every night. Right below where we lived was one of the best after hour clubs called "Save The Robots". But one of my favourite parties was "Sugar Babes" which was at the CBGB's gallery space right next door to CBGB's, every Monday night. The DJ used to sample parts of the records he was mixing and then just play the loop of the sample and alongside was a drummer playing to it. It was really inspiring.
