Mind Your Own Business (feat. The Lone Taxidermist & Alan Riggs) started out as a remix of Delta 5's post-punk classic, but soon took on a life of its own. Vocals are provided by London-based "howl-inducing music making machine" The Lone Taxidermist , aka Natalie Sharp. Delta 5's Alan Riggs does guitar, adding to this completely reworked version that makes full use of Ben's studio full of classic analogue synthesizers.
Sequence On (feat. Stephen Mallinder) - Recently Wrangler have been working with Stephen Mallinder (of renowned electronic pioneers Cabaret Voltaire). This partnership has already produced a remix that has appeared on the recently released John Foxx & the Maths album "The Shape of Things", and this single is the first track they have recorded together. Wrangler's scuffed-up and abrasive electronics provide the perfect foundation for the vocals, which will be instantly recognisable to anyone familiar with Cabaret Voltaire's past work.

Swedish producer Hakan Ludvigson's teams up with PurePureMusic Records, delivering a unique, amazing melodic 3-track deep house EP. The A-side; "Style" is a solid, groovy instrumental track with a warm, analog sound. On the B-side we find the fresh new extended version of vocal tech-house number "Darkness" taken from Hakan's recent studio CD album SOULROOM as well as the outstanding full-on vocal piece "Hold Yourself" which can only be compared with the dark melodic work of Swedish electronica legends "The Knife". As I Look To The Sky From The Surface Of The Water is the much awaited second album from GRIT, aka London producer Guy Brackley and it's found a perfect home on Meanwhile. The label is well placed to be an outlet for GRIT's explorations deep into the realm of deep techno, thanks to it's standing within the techno community and this album stands tall alongside contributions from the likes of Murmur, Sven Weismann, Bvdub and Conforce. Opening with the expansive title track, GRIT sets the tone for what to expect with the ripple of syncopation shifting in and out of focus amidst the viscous layers of foggified luminescent ambient texture. Across the subsequent five tracks this tone is retained throughout as Brackley playfully explores the inventive sparks that arise when rhythm rubs with texture, with the smudged out subaqueous "Safer Retreat" a real highlight.

After remixing Idriss D's smash-hit 'Cross My Mind', Lausanne's Mirko Loko is back on Memento with a superb release taking us on a journey of delicate melodies and aethereal atmospheres, showing his unique talent in creating brilliant song structures and compositions.

And as if that wasn't enough, Cadenza's boss and musical master Luciano graces the Italian label with a personal take on Mirko's track , once more highlighting his unrivalled vision in shaping emotional soundscapes and exquisitely fine sonic moods.

'Gipsy-Q''s rhythm is lively and mesmerizing, with bubbly percussions and wispy bells interspersed with uplifting bright sounds.
At various points, a bass chord progression cuts through, giving the feeling of a dream-like fortune teller's prayer moving in a persistent motion.

Luciano slows it down just a bit and designs a funkier bass line coupled with trippy aqueous drumming and out of time tribal choirs.
Rootsy and raw snare backbeats go hand in hand with swinging scat singings, and a rousing vagabond gitano feeling flows throughout the record.

Grey Series, an offshot of the already well established M_Rec Ltd., aims at celebrating the reclusiveness of techno, its core ideas, its attitudes and its most recent mutations. Traditions that while remaining, have allowed today's artists to conceive uncompromising and exciting sounds.
Its first release sees Juho Kahilainen explore dark and glacial territories.
"Epilogue " is the end of the darkest set, with its sinister piano moving slowly on a set of digital sounds meant to shut off any source of light. "We Heard it Coming" enhances stripped down techno with echoes of what seems to be field recordings from an unexplored locations. "Rotko " dims the light down with its flirty, crepuscular details. Acid and irresistible, it's a trip that carries you on and on. "The Less We Try " takes a dramatic turn, where a beat that pays tribute to acid sounds encounter a martial soundwave and its tense and dooming melody.
Grey Series is dedicated to everyone who lives techno today, who recognizes that there's a whole array of possibilities to explore, away from whatever the dancefloor requires.

Kway is a techno stomper with an 80s feel and a great punk vocal part; the remix by Piatto - well-known dj/producer and partner of the duo in their Italo Business - is something really analog and tasty. Raoul's Boat is a genius track that comes from a sample of a ship approaching the dock: that siren will drive you crazy!

We've always been a fan of Pablo Bolivar's sound. He already did a track on Curle018 and we're glad to have him back on board for a double EP this time. In the meantime he released an album (as Pulshar) & EP on Loco Dice's Desolat label, did remixes for Audision, Mikkel Metal & SCSI-9, and continued to run his own AvantRoots imprint.
The Spark EP consists of a 10" and a 12". The 10" includes two dreamy ambient/electronica tracks, and an oldschool electro remix by Versalife - better known as Conforce. The 12" consists of Pablo Bolivar's signature slightly dub orientated deep techno sound. The package is being released on colored & marbled vinyl, limited to 300 copies.
